According to Wikipedia, there are 19\nactive cryptocurrencies, and most of these were released in the last couple of years.\nCoinmarketcap.com lists 100 cryptocurrencies. Many experts believe the numbers\nwill continue to climb.\nBitcoin has a considerable head start on the other offerings. Several\ncryptocurrencies are slight variations on the Bitcoin platform and may be more\nattractive to conventional financial institutions.\nThe first cryptocurrency to be welcomed by the banking industry will likely dominate\nthe market. Which one will it be? Only the future will reveal the one that comes out\non top.\nCurrently, these are the top five cryptocurrencies after Bitcoin:\n1.Ripple. Ripple has a market capitalization of nearly $150 million. For\ncomparison purposes, Bitcoin is almost $5 billion. This cryptocurrency was\nreleased in 2012 and has been making strong inroads into the banking industry\nand payment networks.\nA “Bitcoin Bridge” permits Ripple currency holders to make payments to\nBitcoin users without ever holding Bitcoins themselves.\nSome financial experts believe that Ripple will eventually overtake Bitcoin\nand become the dominant digital currency.\n2. Litecoin. Litecoin is the third largest cryptocurrency with a market cap of $137\n1\nmillion. Charles Lee, a former Google employee, released Litecoin in 2011. This\ncryptocurrency is very similar to Bitcoin.\nLitecoin offers several enhancements when compared to Bitcoin, including a\nhigher limit on the maximum number of coins, improved user interface, and\nfaster transaction approvals.\nSeveral exchanges permit transactions of Litecoin with Bitcoin users and\nvarious conventional currencies, including US dollars, Euros, and Chinese\nYuan.\n3. Ethereum. The Ethereum market is half the size of Litecoin. Ethereum is\nchallenging to understand, even for the experts. Ethereum combines the\nblockchain technology of Bitcoin with a programming language. This platform\npermits the construction of new applications to be developed.\n4. Dash. Dash was started in 2014 as XCoin. You may have heard of XCoin or\nDarkcoin before they were rebranded to the name Dash. Dash is roughly\none-tenth the size of Litcoin at $14 million. There are currently 6 million Dash\ncoins in circulation.\nDash transactions are arguably more private than those of the previously\nmentioned currencies. Inputs from multiple users are needed to complete\na transaction. Multiple identical outputs are also generated. These\nidentical inputs and outputs shield the location and identity of the true\nparties.\n5. Dogecoin. Dogecoin has approximately the same market capitalization as Dash.\nHowever, Dash currently has 6 million coins in circulation compared to the 102\nbillion coins of Dogecoin! This crypto currency started as a joke, but quickly\ndeveloped a loyal following.\nCoins are produced very quickly and have very little value, roughly $0.0001\nper coin.\n2\nThe Dogecoin community has been actively involved in fundraising for\ninteresting causes, including the Jamaican Bobsled Team, a NASCAR\ndriver, and building a well in Kenya.\nSeveral online exchanges exist to service those that wish to use Dogecoin.\nThe cryptography technology employed is similar to that of Bitcoin and\nLitecoin and utilizes a private and public key system.\nThere is no limit on the number of Dogecoins that can be produced. More\nthan 5 billion coins are expected to be produced each year.\nThere’s more going on in the cryptocurrency world than just Bitcoin. However,\nBitcoin is the oldest and most well-known cryptocurrency in existence. The current\nBitcoins in circulation are worth more than all of the other cryptocurrencies combined. It\nwill be interesting to see what the future holds.",

      "body": "“A lot of people have said that Korea is one of the toughest places on Earth where you should be employed teaching English. When I hear this from teachers who have returned from Korea, I start getting a bit worried. English teachers in Korea have complained on a cross-section of issues. When I put down a list of these issues, I was shocked to see that none of them were pertaining to non-reception of the students or the audience.\n\nDemographically, Korea is divided into two parts – one the major cities and other the villages. Most of the complaints have come from people who have been teaching English in Korean villages. Their complaints are more on the subject of lack of basic amenities to teachers. Interestingly, a lot of teachers who have been teaching English in Korean villages have come up and said that they had to learn Korean (At least a little) to make the villagers understand.\n\nTeachers working in schools in major cities of Korea have complaints of a different category. Most of these guys say that they are made to work a lot extra than what was promised to them in their agreement. In employment terms, I could say that they do a lot of Overtime and yet not get paid. A major issue of teachers is that they just cannot adapt to the Korean lifestyle in order for them to save money of their salary. As it goes in Korea, if you adapt to their local lifestyle you would be able to save a lot of money. Else you could land up being seen as a spendthrift.\n\nA very minor percentage of Teachers of English as a foreign language in Korea said that they had been cheated off their jobs. Their complaints were direct accusations on the school management that they had been promised a salary of “x” won but not given the salary. Few of the English teachers have also come up and said that they were terribly insecure of their jobs. They say this as they had seen couple of teachers being fired right in front of their own eyes. More importantly, they were given just a day’s notice.\n\nAll this should make you shudder at the thought of teaching English in Korea. My argument is – I have told you a list of challenges that you could face, at least given a gist of it. Why don’t you start preparing for the challenges to make your English teaching job memorable? As it has turned out, a teacher who goes well prepared to Korea has done well",

      "body": "The Korean language is spoken by more than 70 million people, primarily in North and South Korea. There are a number of native Korean language speakers in several countries, including the United States Australia, Canada, and Japan. The Korean language is made up of an alphabet of 28 characters that have been in used for hundreds of years. These characters are in no way similar the western alphabet that makes up the English, French, Spanish, and other languages. This can prove to be intimidating for someone interested in learning the Korean language. If you are a soldier, a diplomat, or just someone planning a trip to South Korea, learning the language will help you to break down cultural and communication barriers.\n\nThere are several ways you can learn the Korean language, to varying degrees. If you study Korean at a college or University, you will receive an intensive education on the alphabet, reading, writing, and speaking the language that will give you a leg up on communicating with Korean citizens and work associates. If you are planning a career in as a United States diplomat, for example, there is a chance that your job will take you to Korea. Being able to communicate with native Koreans will help you make the most of your job and experience in a new land. You will be a better representative of your country if you are able to demonstrate your willingness to learn the indigenous language. Your cultural sensitivity will be appreciated. Also, if you plan to be a teacher of English as a second language, being fluent in Korean will make your experience living there more pleasant. As an instructor of English, you will be teaching Korean students, but you will also be learning from them.\n\nAnother way to learn the Korean language is by enrolling in one of many accelerated courses that are available through community colleges and even online. An accelerated course in Korean will provide you with a basic knowledge of the language, which will allow you to understand basic phrases, and ask basic questions. You will also be introduced to the Korean alphabet, which might seem daunting. There is language instruction available for purchase, as well. You do not learn the language by memorization. Rather, native Korean speakers provide real-life scenarios that provide you the opportunity to “learn as you go”, using voice technology over your computer. You get immediate feedback, which is a less stressful way for you to learn.
