Being a starter at Real Betis since an early age he grabbed FC Barcelona's and Real Madrid's attention after completing an amazing tournament performance at the European U-21 tournament played this summer where he won the Player of the Tournament Award. \n\nProfessionally, the FC Barcelona offer was a more logical choice given the position he plays, and the need FC Barcelona has for such a position. Being offered the opportunity to become a short-term starter replacing Andres Iniesta (33 years old). However, the same way it has happened recently, Ceballos chose to sign for the Spanish rivals Real Madrid.
