Instead of me just saying \"this coin\" or \"that coin\" is bull$h1t let us pretend I am the one that wanted to scam someone.\nWhat would be a way to do that?\n\nThe scam makes the scammer 100% profit on his investment and takes 50% on the \"scammed's \" cash input.\n\nHow do I do this?... glad you asked.\n\nStep 1. You make a coin, let's call it \"scam coin\" (loads of tutorials on YouTube how to make one with minimal to no programming experience)\n\nStep 2. Make a website for your coin, the more legitimate looking the better, also have a timer running down to some huge announcement.\n\nStep 3. List your \"scam coin\" on an exchange.\n\nStep 4. Place a massive buy order for the lowest price (0.00000001 BTC) the larger the better. The scam I saw put an order in for 6.something BTC.\n\nStep 5. List your coins at 0.00000002 to sell.\n\nStep 6. Rake in the money.\nhttp://www.valforex.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/bitcoin-scams.jpg\n\nSo let's see how this worked.\nThe \"scam-coin \"creator has a large amount of coins to sell (he created them), you (the potential scammed) can only buy for 0.00000002 as the 0.00000001 order the scammer placed needs to be filled first. And the 6.whatever bitcoins worth of coins need to be filled. Only problem is that the only guy with enough coins to fill the order is the scammer himself, and he is not going to sell 1 coin at 0.00000001.\n\nNow you buy at the 0.00000002 price. But the price will never go past 0.00000002 because there are so many millions for sale at the 0.00000002 price.\nAnd the only way you can get out is to sell your coins back to the scammer for 0.00000001 reducing your cash by 50%\nPeople fall for this because you think to yourself \"this coin can't fall much lower than I am buying for, and if it goes up I will be rich.\" So it will be very easy for someone to want to take a risk and put thousands of dollars in.\nThe only one getting rich is the scammer.\n\nI am not sure how much of what the scammer can be seen as \"illegal\"\nBecause it's legal to make your own coin, legal to list and sell on an exchange, he is not forcing anyone to buy the coins.\nNot illegal to place a buy order on your own coins\nOnly thing I can see as being possible as illegal is that he is actually manipulating the price.\n\nSo please be careful and don't just invest blindly.\nand if you find some of these coins please warn people.",

According to family legend, midway through the birth, the midwife wrung her hands and declared the lightning a bad omen.   This child will be a child of darkness, she said, to which his mother replied: “No. He will be a child of light.”\n\nBorn on July 10, 1856, in what is now Smiljan, Croatia. He was one of five children which included siblings Dane, Angelina, Milka and Marica, in the family. Tesla's interest in electrical invention was spurred by his mother, Djuka Mandic, who invented small household appliances in her spare time while her son was growing up. Tesla's father, Milutin Tesla, was a Serbian orthodox priest and a writer, and he pushed for his son to join the priesthood. But Nikola's interests lay squarely in the sciences. After Tesla received an advanced education in engineering and physics at the Realschule, Karlstadt (later renamed the Johann-Rudolph-Glauber Realschule Karlstadt); the Polytechnic Institute in Graz, Austria; and the University of Prague during the 1870s, Tesla moved to Budapest, where for a time he worked at the Central Telephone Exchange. It was while in Budapest that the idea for the induction motor first came to Tesla, but after several years of trying to gain interest in his invention, at age 28 Tesla decided to leave Europe for America.\n\nIn 1884 Tesla arrived the United States with little more than the clothes on his back and a letter of introduction to famed inventor and business mogul Thomas Edison, whose DC-based electrical works were fast becoming the standard in the country. Edison hired Tesla, and the two men were soon working tirelessly alongside each other, making improvements to Edison's inventions. However, several months later, the two parted ways due to a conflicting business-scientific relationship, attributed by historians to their incredibly different personalities: While Edison was a power figure who focused on marketing and financial success, Tesla was commercially out-of-tune and somewhat vulnerable.\n\nAfter parting ways with Edison, in 1885 Tesla received funding for the Tesla Electric Light Company and was tasked by his investors to develop improved arc lighting. After successfully doing so, however, Tesla was forced out of the venture and for a time had to work as a manual laborer in order to survive. His luck changed in 1887, when he was able to find interest in his AC electrical system and funding for his new Tesla Electric Company. Setting straight to work, by the end of the year, Tesla had successfully filed several patents for AC-based inventions.    \n\nTesla's AC system eventually caught the attention of American engineer and business man George Westinghouse, who was seeking a solution to supplying the nation with long-distance power. Convinced that Tesla's inventions would help him achieve this, in 1888 he purchased his patents for $60,000 in cash and stock in the Westinghouse Corporation. As interest in an alternating-current system grew, Tesla and Westinghouse were put in direct competition with Thomas Edison, who was intent on selling his direct-current system to the nation. A negative-press campaign was soon waged by Edison, in an attempt to undermine interest in AC power. Tesla, for his part, continued in his work and would patent several more inventions during this period, including the \"Tesla coil,\" which laid the foundation for wireless technologies and is still used in radio technology today.\n\nUnfortunately for Thomas Edison, the Westinghouse Corporation was chosen to supply the lighting at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, and Tesla conducted demonstrations of his AC system there. Two years later, in 1895, Tesla designed what was among the first AC hydroelectric power plants in the United States, at Niagara Falls. The following year, it was used to power the city of Buffalo, New York, a feat that was highly publicized throughout the world. With its repeat successes and favorable press, the alternating-current system would quickly become the preeminent power system of the 20th century, and it has remained the worldwide standard ever since.\n\nIn addition to his AC system and coil, throughout his career, Tesla discovered, designed and developed ideas for a number of other important inventions—most of which were officially patented by other inventors—including dynamos (electrical generators similar to batteries) and the induction motor. He was also a pioneer in the discovery of radar technology, X-ray technology, remote control and the rotating magnetic field—the basis of most AC machinery.\n\nThroughout the 1890s, Tesla would pursue his ideas for wireless lighting and worldwide wireless electric power distribution in his high-voltage, high-frequency power experiments in New York and Colorado Springs. In 1893, he made pronouncements on the possibility of wireless communication with his devices.\nHaving become obsessed with the wireless transmission of energy, around 1900 Nikola set to work on his boldest project yet: to build a global, wireless communication system—to be transmitted through a large electrical tower—for sharing information and providing free electricity throughout the world. With funding from a group of investors that included financial giant J. P. Morgan, in 1901 Tesla began work on the project in earnest, designing and building an intercontinental wireless communication and power transmitter. A Lab with a power plant and a massive transmission tower on a site on Long Island, New York, that became known as Wardenclyffe. However, when doubts arose among his investors about the plausibility of Tesla's system and his rival, Guglielmo Marconi—with the financial support of Andrew Carnegie and Thomas Edison—continued to make great advances with his own radio technologies,funding stopped before he could complete it. The Wardenclyffe staff was laid off in 1906 and by 1915 the site had fallen into foreclosure. Two years later Tesla declared bankruptcy and the tower was dismantled and sold for scrap to help pay the debts he had accrued.\n   \n\nTesla may have had a brilliant mind, but he was not as good at reducing his ideas to practice, In the race to develop transatlantic radio, Tesla described to his funder and business partner, J.P. Morgan, a new means of instant communication that involved gathering stock quotes and telegram messages, funneling them to his laboratory, where he would encode them and assign them each a new frequency. That frequency would be broadcast to a device that would fit in your hand, he explained. In other words, Tesla had envisioned the smart phone and wireless internet 1901.\n\n\n\nTesla had what’s known as a photographic memory. He was known to memorize books and images and stockpile visions for inventions in his head. He also had a powerful imagination and the ability to visualize in three dimensions, which he used to control the terrifying vivid nightmares he suffered from as a child. He was also known for having excessive hygiene habits, born out of a near-fatal bout of cholera as a teenager.\n\nAfter suffering a nervous breakdown, Tesla eventually returned to work, primarily as a consultant. But as time went on, his ideas became progressively more outlandish and impractical. He also grew increasingly eccentric, devoting much of his time to the care of wild pigeons in New York City's parks. He even drew the attention of the FBI with his talk of building a powerful \"death beam,\" which had received some interest from the Soviet Union during World World II. \n\nPoor and reclusive, Nikola Tesla died on January 7, 1943, at the age of 86, in New York City, where he had lived for nearly 60 years. But the legacy of the work he left behind him lives on to this day.",

In her book\nSuspicion is my name, Barbara Tyrrell, a renowned\nauthority on Bantu folklore, describes the tokoloshe\nas follows:\n\n‘_ _ _ it is the same height as the manzindane (fairy\nman) but it has a wider body. It also has smooth\nochre-coloured body-fur, has hair hanging over\nthe forehead, a small moustache, hair on the feet\nand backs of the hands but none on the palms. The\nhands and feet are small like those of a monkey. It\nhas hairy ears pressed back against the skull and a\npenis that looks more like a tail and is indeed\nreferred to as a “tail”.\nThe hair on the head is longer than that of the\nbody and its eyes are black, small and narrow. It\nwears no clothes and lives in holes among stones\nand in the river. This is a wild creature and ...is\nnot itself bad. It is used by evil wizards who catch\nit in the river, kill it and make it into medicine,\ncreating a live yet not a live thing. This creation of\ntheir own magic is then their servant for evil.’\nThe malevolence behind this macabre being does not\nspring from the tokoloshe himself but from his evil\nmaster, the sorcerer, whose main aim and pleasure in\nlife is to cause misery and strife among his fellow men.\nIt is the sorcerer who sends the tokoloshe on his wicked\nerrands. The tokoloshe’s main asset is his ability to\nrender himself invisible. Unseen, he can creep into a\nhut to place poison in strategic places, or hide a buck’s\nhorn filled with vile concoctions in the thatch or in the\nriver mud near the spot where the drinking pots are\nfilled. To cover this theft, he lets the calves into\nthe kraal with their mothers, so that the farmer is fooled\ninto thinking that it is they that have drunk all the milk.\nAfter a while, it usually occurs to the man that he is\nbeing robbed by a tokoloshe and he employs the ser-\nvices of a witchdoctor or herbalist. As the tokoloshe\nalways enters the kraal from the rear end of the enclos-\nure, the herbalist sets his traps there. He draws a magic\ncircle and sprinkles his enchanted medicine where he\nknows the dwarf will walk. If the tokoloshe falls into the\ntrap, he will stand there paralysed, with his powers of\ninvisibility destroyed. He cannot move a finger, but if a\nperson shouts, or exclaims, ‘Lookl A tokoloshel’ he will\nvanish immediately, as the spell will be broken. There-\nfore the herbalist must make sure that he personally\ncaptures the dwarf. This results in a sticky end for the\ntokoloshe, for he is ground up, fat and bone, and turned\ninto strong medicine to be used by the herbalist to catch\nothers of his kind - a service for which the herbalist is\nwell rewarded!  \n\nTokoloshe and the Girls \n \nOn a fine spring morning, five merry girls from a\nnearby village came to swim in the river. They splashed\nand shrieked so loudly that a tokoloshe which lived\nunder the river bank was awakened from his slumbers\nby their rowdy behaviour. ‘All right thenl’ he thought.\n‘I’ll show them that I can play that game tool’ Sounder\nthe water he swam, and tickled and pinched the girls.\nSoon screams of fright mingled with the laughter. The\nvillagers became alarmed by the noise the girls were\nmaking and came down to the river to see what was\nhappening.   \nThere were the girls, yelling in both mirth and fear.\nThe wisest elder recognised the signs of the tokoloshe.\n‘Come out of the water at once,’ he shouted.\n‘We cannot,’ spluttered the girls, ‘we are stuck fast to\nthe bottom of the stream, and something is tickling and\npinching us! Ooh oohl’ The old man shouted for the\nyoung men.  \n‘You must jump into the water to free the girls,’ he\nordered. These instructions were obeyed with alacrity\nand in no time at all the girls were carried safely ashore.\nThis situation has no doubt been exploited many times\nwithout the intervention of a tokoloshe - but neither the\ngirls nor the youths ever declared any ill effects from\ntheir adventure.    \n\nTokoloshe and the Children \n\nSome people maintain that the tokoloshe is much\nmaligned and that he is really a mild little creature who\nlives peacefully on lonely river banks, and is particu-\nlarly fond of children. When he can, he will lure these\nboon companions away from their frog-catching and\nswimming, and will lead them into the ferny coolness of\nthe bank where he will spread a delicious feast and\ndelight in seeing them fill their round tummies to burst-\ning point. Of course, when they return home in the\neveningthey refuse to eat supper, as they long for the\ndelicacies of the tokoloshe’s forbidden banquets. They\nare sworn to secrecy, however, and will never tell where\nthey are meeting their friend. Only by following the\nchildren can the worried parents hope to find the secret\nmeeting place. The minute the tokoloshe suspects that\nhe is being watched by an adult, he will pop a magic\npebble into his mouth and vanish at once. g\nThere is a story that once a child repaid the\ntoko1oshe’s generosity by stealing this pebble while the\ndwarf was swimming in the stream. Cf course the child\nat once became invisible and the tokoloshe spent a\nfrantic morning chasing after the crack of a breaking\ntwig, swishing grass, and the giggles of the unseen\nchild. At last the creature could bear it no longer; he\nburst into sobs of misery, letting the tears trickle down\nhis furry cheeks. He asked the headman of an\numzi (kraal) to lend him a herd boy. The headman\nagreed, and a suitable boy was found who went off with\nthe beer-drinker to his kraal. At dawn the boy rose,\ndrove out his new master’s numerous sheep and goats to\ngraze, and joined the other young herders to spend a\npleasant day in their company. In the evening he\nreturned home, milked the cows and shut up the stock.\nHe was given food in his own hut, but no sooner had he\nsat down to eat than many short, hairy people entered-\nmen, women and children - all tokoloshes. They ate\nnearly all his food, and he was too frightened to protest.\nThe next day he again went out to herd, and when he\ncame home the same thing happened: as soon as he\nreceived food, his unwelcome visitors trooped in and\natc it all, leaving him to go hungry. This continued until\none of his companions asked him, ‘Why do you look so\nbony and thin, as if you would break in two, when your\nmaster has so many animals in milk ?' The boy replied:\n‘When I sit down to eat, baboon-like animals come and\neat my food.’ .   .\n‘How can you see them?’ asked his friend. ‘\n‘They have given me umzhi to rub on my eyelids so I\ncan see  them.’ \n‘Let us go over to your umzi, no-one is there now as\neveryone is at a beer party. I will take my lunch with me\nto hire your visitors,’ offered his friend, and the two\nwent to the house of the herd boy’s master, rubbed the\nmedicine on their eyelids, and sat down to eat. In\ntrooped the tokoloshes to take their food. This time,\nhowever, the herd boy seized his stick to thrash them,\nand the tokoloshes ran out in consternation at this\nviolent behaviour. Une, a child, fell in its haste, and the\nboy killed it with one blow of his stick. Then the two\nboys, scared at what they had done, ran off and hid in\nthe bushes of a nearby hillock. They soon saw the\nowner of the umzi coming to find out what had caused\nthe noise. When he saw the dead tokoloshe child, he\ngrabbed it and went off to bury it furtively in the\ngarden. ‘I am not going back to my own umzi,’ said the\nherd boy, and off he went, leaving his former master to\nretrieve his stock from the veld himself. '\n  The man was annoyed, and went and complained to\nthe headman. ‘The boy has left me without noticel’ The\nheadman called the boy. \n‘My child, why did you run away?’ \nThe boy was nervous. ‘I did not wish to live any\nlonger with this man. At that umzi I was always hungry and ate\nnothing.’ \n‘Rubbishl’ retorted the man. ‘The boy is lying.\nThere is nothing of the sort.’ I\n‘Uh yes there is,’ cried the boy. ‘When I killed the\ntokoloshe child, you ran and buried it in the garden for\nfear of punishment.’ \nThe man knew that he had been observed. ‘Oh, let us\nforget all about this nonsense,’ he blustered, ‘it is clear\nthat the boy does not want to come and work for me. Tokoloshe, also known as Hili or Gilikango,\nis described by the Pondo as a small hairy being with a\nman’s form, but so small he only reaches to the average\nperson’s knee. He has hair all over his face and hair\ncoming out of his ears, and his face is like that of a\nbaboon or monkey. The penis of the male is so long that \nhe carries it over his shoulder, and he has only one\nbuttock. Both the male and female of the ‘species’\nseldom wear clothing; if they do, it is made of skins.\nTokoloshe speaks with a lisp and live in crevices and\nunder river banks.\n    \nIn addition, tokoloshe carries a charm which renders\nhim invisible to adults other than those who possess\nhim as a familiar. He can also be seen by children.\n\nSome Pondo say that they can clearly remember\nseeing tokoloshe as children, and recall having spent\npleasant days playing with him in the veld. Now, as\ngrown-ups,they see him no more. One among them\ntells that one day, on his return from herding the flocks\nas a child, he informed his parents that he had spent the\nday at play with tokoloshe. The next morning being\nvery hot, he and his companions left their blankets off\nand went to play in the cool reeds of the river bed.\nWhen they returned later, they found tokoloshe sitting\nwith a blackened heap of smoking ashes before him. He\nnodded portentously. ‘Yes,’ he said, ‘those are your\nblankets. You see what happens to children who betray\nme to grown-ups, The man also described how often\ntokoloshe would come into the house at mealtimes and\nfilch the food from the adults’ plates, seen only by the\nchildren. \nAway from the influence of witches and sorcerers,\ntokoloshe is merely mischievous, seldom evil. He wan-\nders at will, getting up to childish pranks - causing\nhavoc in a hut by spilling the milk, filling all the\ncalabashes with water, pilfering, fiddling, stealing\nsweetmeats and sugar. Doubtless it is tokoloshe who\ntakes the blame for the deeds of many a recalcitrant\nmember of the family!  '\nTokoloshe only becomes dangerous when he has\nbeen caught and made the familiar of a witch, who uses\nhim to carry out many evil deeds. His hair is cut short\n(this keeps him in a docile state) and he is housed in a\nspecial storage hut. Nobody is specific about how\ntokoloshe harms people. Some say that he has an\nikhubalo, or charm, that causes sickness, others that he\nbeats his victims, particularly when they have gone to\nsleep. Tokoloshe, however, has a mind of his own, and\nsometimes disobeys the orders of his master or mis-\ntress. Several stories are told about him taking pity on\nhis victims and sparing them of his intended evil. This\nis usually the case when he has been sent out against a\nchild. \nA woman igqwira, or witch, always has a male\ntokoloshe, who is her lover. A few maintain that men\nhave a female tokoloshe, but others disagree, saying\nonly women possess tokoloshe; indeed, those accused\nof possessing him are almost always women. It is Said \na woman will always pass her tokoloshe on to her daugh-\nter. If the girl will not have him, he is insulted and kills\nher. Parents instruct their children to tell them if they\nsee a short, hairy, little man and beat them if they admit\nto playing with tokoloshe in the bush. A child who\ngrows up knowing tokoloshe may keep his friend into\nadulthood; in this case the child becomes an umzakazhi\n(sorcerer). \nTokoloshe is killed by doctors who sell his fat and\nhair as a protective medicine against him. He does not\nlike dogs chasing him, and is terrified of mousetraps. A\nblade of grass smeared with tokoloshe fat will float\nupstream. \nThe fear and distrust in which tokoloshe is held has\nled to tragedies. In 1933 a case came before the Appeal\nCourt at Butterworth concerning a man, Mbombela,\nwho had killed a child  because he had mistaken it for\ntokoloshe. Apparently, some children playing outside a\ndisused hut had seen through the chink of the door\nsomething that had two small feet like those of a human\nbeing. Frightened, they had called the young man,\nMbombela. He believed that what they saw was\ntokoloshe§ and rushed in and killed him with a hatchet.\nOn dragging him out, however, hediscovered he had\nkilled a child. Mbombela was found guilty of murder,\nbut the charge was reduced to culpable homicide by the\nAppeal Court on the grounds that Mbombela had\ngenuinely believed he was killing tokoloshe.",
