It was a bit of an early [Christmas treat from Capcom giving PlayStation 4 gamers free Beta experience on this much awaited](https://www.express.co.uk/entertainment/gaming/895283/Monster-Hunter-World-beta-PS4-release-date-start-time-end-download-pre-load-PS-Plus), upcoming game, _Monster Hunter World_. It was kind of a surprise for some because this announcement didn’t circulate that much and no one anticipated a free trial of the game before the actual release. The free beta was available last Saturday, December 9 and lasted until Tuesday, December 12. It was an excellent 3-day hunting trip for all hunters worldwide. While we are back to waiting mode until January, let’s talk about what the beta brought us and what to expect in the game’s official release.\n\n**Graphics**\n\nMonster Hunter iterations have been on the positive side, especially visuals. How the environment looks and feels; how the character’s movement about fighting big monsters and contributing to the immersion; the graphics of the monsters from the little up to the big ones, are very detailed, and everything seems realistic. Great features are nothing new to Monster Hunter games but compared to the previous one ported Nintendo DS, which was 240p, Capcom utilized the capabilities of the PS4 engine in terms of graphics! In fact, Monster Hunter World is the first to get made for console ever since the 2009 version, _Monster Hunter: Tri_. Perhaps we can think disappointment is on our way but it isn’t, and kudos to Capcom.\n\nIn-game graphics isn’t the only one to get compliments for its high-quality visuals. Have you watched the cutscenes and trailers? If you haven’t, here is the opening movie for you to see:\n\nhttps://www.youtube.com/embed/4_qRh0VV9c0\n\n**Multiplayer**\n\nEven though it’s the first Monster Hunter having a release outside of Japan in a long while, Western fans are curious about how the multiplayer will pan out. Will it be more than four players in one instance this time as if the game is getting marketed as an MMO, or will Monster Hunter World be the same four-player maximum instance? Well, that isn’t the concern right now. The concern for the last beta was that multiplayer mode wasn’t like the usual matchmaking. The present multiplayer matchmaking is somewhat faulty. \n\nWe’ve gotten used to forming up the party first before deciding on which instance to conquer right? In the last beta, they interchanged that. You have to distinguish first the map and quest that your party wants to tackle. Afterward, it’s the only time you will go to the matchmaking menu. You’ll still get the ID of the instance for your friends to look for and join. Keep in mind that this is only the beta, and we can only hope that they polish this one before release.\n\nThe great thing about the search filter in matchmaking is that you can set [Player Type and Language](https://www.playerauctions.com). Language is important because this is a team game. Communication is vital, and it can get frustrating if you cannot understand at least one member of the team because he can’t speak your language and vice versa. It’s no surprise why gaming communities have their eyes on the event. Also, they spend almost all of their time together. You know what they say, familiarity breeds contempt, and it looks like it’s breeding season. The leader, Danylo “Zeus” Teslenko, stated that the team is similar to a husband and wife who are tired of one another and are in need of a break. \n\nThankfully, having some time off a week before the games had revitalized the team, making them feel more united in comparison to when they were constantly training. Still, when the smoke clears, the team’s bond isn’t as tight compared to before. In fact, there are theories of a post-Major roster change. This time around, it looks like that won’t be the case. SK has a new and young face in their team: Joao “felps” Vasconcellos. The team poised to reclaim the top spot from their Danish rival and current champions Astralis. Proof of that is their string of victories: IEM Sydney, DreamHack Summer, ECS Season 3 Finals, and ESL: One Cologne 2017.  \n\nThe wins don’t mean that they have an easy road ahead of them. Other than Astralis, skilled contenders FaZe Clan and G2 eSports are hard-hitters, which mean exciting fights for the viewers. The team wants to live up to people’s original expectation as a super team, especially since they added Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev. However, it turned out exactly the opposite, with the team doing worse than before s1mple joined, who’s arguably one of the best CSGO players in the scene\n\nTo blame it all on s1mple is subjective and a mistake since CSGO will always be a team game. If there’s something Na’Vi has to fix, it’s their team chemistry. While their defeat was more one-sided in the first match, the one in the second match was a close one. After getting in a tie with their opponent, they went through four overtime rounds in a row but failed to win.\n\nThe 2017 Krakow Major is enormous and exciting thanks to the teams participating.
