      "body": "<div class=\"text-justify\">\n\n\n|<center>Welcome To My Blog Everyone In Steemit</center>\n|-|\n\nNot just me but a large number of people were very happy to see the Bishop in my parish on October 19th after we waited so long for his arrival. Last year November the Bishop wanted to visit my parish but he changed his mind since members of my parish weren't fully prepared and some other reasons I'm not aware about.\n\n![IMG-20251019-WA0320_1.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQM5D6LeFqAuqk8JAw9cLoqrpccqs8j2Hu4GRraUR6pGg/IMG-20251019-WA0320_1.jpg)\n\nI was among those that did the sacrament of confirmation that day and I wore white and white outfit to the church since that's the way those confirming are supposed to appear that day. We were all told to bring one yam each and my dad finally bought a yam for me that morning after the pawpaw fruit I submitted was rejected since it wasn't a yam.\n\n\nIt was also the first time I served a Bishop mass and I became one of those that were going to serve through a narrow escape, our parish priest appointed 6 people to serve in which my elder brother who's the president was also appointed. They went for Vestment measurement so that they can get a new vestment for that day. I was happy to finally become one of those serving the mass after I sacrificed my time to attend rehearsals despite the fact that I wasn't appointed to serve the mass. The Bishop arrived some minutes to 9am and he drove to the church direct then all us followed immediately.\n\nHe blessed our parish priest's house and also the new grotto in the church then the mass officially started. I was so excited that moment because I have officially started the first process of the Bishop mass. Some many people in the church were videoing the procession and I felt like a celebrity that moment. The stood at the front when those confirming were doing their thanksgiving and the entire church followed immediately for the general thanksgiving. The consecration aspect of the mass was very unique because the two people who were carrying the Miter and crossier stood at the back of the Bishop and other Reverend fathers in the mass and this was something I have never seen before since I started serving mass. We were three in number and after we were confirmed with the chrism oil and words of absolution by the Bishop wee wore out vestment and continued serving the mass. It happened before the consecration.\n\n\nYou must be wondering what these other pictures above are, they are part of the pictures people took with the Bishop when the mass was over. The altar servers, the knights, those that were confirmed that day and so many others. My elder sister was the one that took most of these pictures here and I didn't go to church with my phone that day because I felt it wasn't necessary. I went home with my brother when we removed our vestment and wore out own cloth.\n\nWe ate jollof rice and chicken that day in the church with our fellow altar servers that didn't rush to go home after the mass. After eating and the rain stopped falling, I went home and rested for a long period of time. It was a very long day and I won't stop thanking God for making it to be successful.
