| title | Post Rewards (Including SP Equivalence) Will Be Donated to This Emergency Fundraiser |
| body | Your Generosity is Appreciated! Please either upvote this post or donate directly here. Post payout from this will be donated to the fundraiser. Including SP equivalent. One of my closest buddies has just recently hit a crisis. I'm very much speechless and it has weighed down my thought process and really kept me distracted most of today. I've thought it over many times on how to best approach this situation with reverence and respect. I have been very hesitant on posting it on the chain. I didn't want to take his crisis and take personal gains from it. I didn't want to sucker attention away from him, so I think I will close off my words on the subject and allow him to speak instead of me. This is direct from his GFM page. On Saturday April 14th, 2018, Laura Todorova was driving her friend Samba Njie home. They were stopped at a red light just a block from Samba’s house when they were struck from behind by a speeding, intoxicated driver. They both were trapped in the vehicle, suffering extensive burns, bleeding in their brains, concussions, seizures, lacerations and one broken vertebrae. The drunk driver was not seriously injured. They were both taken to Suburban Hospital and placed in the Intensive Care Unit, in critical condition. While their condition has improved over the past week, their spirits need help. To them, it feels like no one cares. The world has kept spinning for everyone else, yet they are left to walk the journey through seemingly alone. Please, donate what you can, or even just leave a word kindness or say a prayer for the two members of our community - Samba and Laura. In addition, he has privately informed me that the drunk driver doesn't have much money to go after in lawsuits (nor do they have the money to afford lawyers to sue) and also she only had vehicle insurance rather than health insurance. Their situation is very dire and I really don't know how to best help them. To show how amazing these people are, my buddy uploaded a video of him being able to muster enough positive energy to make a joke. Life or death situation and this man's thoughts are on making people smile. However, don't let this undermine the severity of the situation. Edit: THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!! THANK YOU, EVERYONE! May all the world's blessing fall upon the votes, donations, and support that our steemit communities have brought to this! This is so surreal! Every single last one of you is incredible! I love you all! I have already donated $21 (as seen on right) for three main reasons. I wanted to fill in that $1,000 psychological gap I wanted to mark this page trending on Go Fund Me, just as it hit steemit trending I wanted to reassure every one of intent to follow through. I will donate the full amount as this post reaches closer to payout. Once again and a thousand times more, THANK YOU! You are changing lives! |

| title | Why Waves is the Best Cryptocurrency |
| body | Imagine you’re building a house. You could transport the bricks in small batches in the boot of your car. Or you can hire a lorry for the purpose. Either will work, but only one was designed to do the job quickly and effectively. Which do you choose? Airdrops have become an important element of the crypto landscape and for good reason. By distributing small amounts of tokens to many different users for free, you instantly gain a very large potential userbase. These recipients will generally want to find out more about the project. They may become larger buyers in due course, as well as some of your first testers, end user, and advocates for the business. All of this can be gained in return for allocating a small proportion of your token supply in advance, plus the cost of airdropping them to hundreds or thousands of blockchain addresses. All you have to do is distribute them. But that’s the thing. Distribution. And it’s not as easy as you might think. Big airdrops, big headaches Here’s the thing: you can conduct an airdrop on any blockchain — just as you can theoretically transport your building supplies with any mode of transport, whether that’s a car, lorry, bike or SegWay. There are just good reasons why you might not want to. There are a few factors to consider. Obviously, it needs to be a platform that supports custom tokens. No major problem there: even bitcoin supports assets (via the Omni protocol, for example). But then you’ve got to send them all out to different addresses, using whatever criteria you choose for recipients. Naturally, you want your send process to be fast and as low-cost as possible. You don’t want to be competing for block space, and you don’t want to be paying high transaction fees. That makes something like bitcoin/Omni a non-starter — imagine having to pay many tens of thousands of dollars or more to get the job done. And if you’re sending thousands of transactions, you can forget it: they’re going to be stuck in mempool until you’re grey-haired. Ethereum’s a better option, and plenty of airdrops do occur on the platform. But fees are still comparatively high, and the network is not designed for large throughput (just ask the Crypto Kitties). Then there are some of the other problems that can occur if you misuse a blockchain that’s not really built for the job. A few years ago there was an initiative to pay dividends to stakers on BitcoinDark (a privacy coin that was built on a proof-of-stake clone of bitcoin). The first time a large number of transactions was submitted via a script, the network forked. Oops. Why Waves is Best for Airdrops Waves-NG So this is where Waves comes in. You can conduct airdrops on any blockchain. A handful of them can cope with that reasonably well. But there’s only one that has specifically been designed to support the kinds of transaction volumes that a large airdrop requires. Waves’ consensus algorithm is Waves-NG, which is capable of processing an order of magnitude more transactions than most other blockchains — quickly and at low cost. Standard fees are 0.001 WAVES per transaction (around $0.005 right now) but it gets even cheaper thanks to the mass-pay function, which is purpose-built exactly for this reason. That makes Waves an incredibly efficient and low-cost way of conducting huge airdrops. The proof? Waves processed over 330,000 transactions in a single day on 26 December 2017. 170,000 transactions were confirmed within just 20 minutes, and it is theoretically possible to process up to 10 million transactions per day. Job done in one go. |

You are the only person who can access your crypto assets. Take advantage of our platform’s outstanding security Receive interest on your Waves account balance Transfer funds from person to person Start mining — it’s easy with Waves Create a multiple-currency walletDecentralised Exchange Trade without limits There are no limits on withdrawals, and any cryptocurrency purchased immediately appears in your wallet’s balance. Trade quickly and safely A centralised matcher and high channel capacity allow you to make deals as quickly as on a centralised exchange, but without the risk of losing your money. Don’t waste money on high commission fees Our exchange has a small fixed commission on a per-order basis. Never worry about the safety of your assets Funds are kept in your wallet, not on the exchange.Issue your own tokens To get your own internal digital currency. Use blockchain for crowdfunding, pay for goods, services. Use tokens to create voting systems and loyalty or discount programmes. They have released their own tokens on Waves:A total of 12,902 tokens have been released on Waves Totaling a market capitalisation of more than $1,000,000,000Planned Features Winter–Spring 2018 Smart contracts (non-turing) Hardware wallets, shapeshift Mobile apps update Decentralized voting Simple messaging Spring–Summer 2018 Atomic swap Voting (front-end) Summer-Fall 2018 Messaging, off-chain, front-end Fall-Winter 2018 Lite-client Turing complete smart contractsUse blockchain — it’s easy with Waves Issue, store, manage, trade, and analyze your digital assets safely with Waves blockchain platform and decentralized exchange. Download client (Beta) Create a multiple-currency wallet In addition to Waves tokens, thousands of other kinds of tokens have also been released on the platform, many of which have gone through an ICO and have huge potential. We support fiat money ($, €) as well as cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, ethereum, ethereum classic, and more. The list is constantly expanding. Transfer funds from person to person Waves has a high network speed with hundreds of transactions per second and a small commission, which makes it as convenient as possible to transfer cryptocurrency between network members instantly. Take advantage of our platform’s high security Your balance is stored on a blockchain that only you can access. Only you can manage your crypto assets. Your tokens are stored on a blockchain that only you can access. Leasing Any sum of Waves can be leased to miners to generate interest. You can refund at any time in 2 clicks. Learn more Mining Waves uses a proof-of-stake algorithm. To start mining, all you need to do is to download and launch the node, and have 1,000 WAVES in your wallet. Learn more Start using your Waves wallet Don’t forget to download the mobile wallet for iOS & Android. Get it on Google Play Get it on APP STORE How do I start using my Waves wallet? First, create an account. Online Client (Beta) Fill your wallet with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Zcash, US dollars or Euros. You can convert them to Waves tokens using the decentralized exchange, which you can find on the Waves client. Decentralised Exchange By trading on a centralized exchange, you risk losing your funds in the event of hacking, which has happened on almost all popular exchanges. The main advantage of our exchange is that the money is always stored in your wallet, and the match only compares orders. You retain complete control over your funds when trading them on our decentralized exchange. The DEX is powered by a matcher, which stores user orders and sends token exchange transactions for fulfilled orders. Stop worrying about the safety of your assets Top pairs Volume (24h) WAVES/BTC $ 996,863 ZEC/WAVES $ 77,111 BTC/USD $ 58,667 EFYT/BTC $ 49,903 ETH/BTC $ 45,151 WAVES/USD $ 42,441 ETH/WAVES $ 40,856 ZEC/BTC $ 36,985 WGR/BTC $ 34,864 OCL/WAVES $ 13,843 ฿ 0.00054877 waves price $ 1,470,652 24h DEX volume Trade quickly and securely All transactions happen on the blockchain, and only the order list is held on the centralised matcher. This allows us to take full advantage of both centralised and decentralised technologies. In addition, implementing the latest developments has allowed us to increase network capacity to hundreds of transactions per second. Trade without limits On centralised exchanges, it’s the administrators who decide which pairs will be traded. Waves’ DEX allows you to trade any token pairs that are on the blockchain. In addition, there are no restrictions on the withdrawal of funds from the DEX. As soon as your transaction is complete, the cryptocurrency will appear in your wallet. Don’t waste money on high fees There is a very low and fixed fee on our exchange, which doesn’t depend on the size of the trade. The commission per order is 0.003 WAVES. If an order isn’t executed in full, an incomplete and proportional commission is calculated for you. By canceling the order, you lose nothing. Protection from front-running and other fraud Your orders are transferred to the matcher over an encrypted channel and are not visible to other participants until the moment of execution. This excludes the possibility of unscrupulous traders manipulating information about an upcoming trade. Issuing your tokens, token sales Cryptographically secured blockchain tokens allow any business to issue its own internal digital currency on the blockchain to pay for goods and services within its project. The actual cost of tokens (Custom Application Tokens) is established using open market mechanisms. The role of the token is determined by the nature of each individual project and can be integrated into it not only as an internal currency but also as a token for decentralised voting, as a rating system, or loyalty program. Raise funds for the development of your project By releasing blockchain tokens, you provide valuable services to network users, such as the possibility of transferring value in the form of certain convenient units, therefore attracting funds for the development of your project. Get loyal users of your product By holding an ICO not only do you receive money for development, but you also gain loyal users for your product who believe in the project and are ready to become its first followers as well as give honest feedback. You can refund at any time in 2 clicks.\nLearn more\nMining\nWaves uses a proof-of-stake algorithm. The main advantage of our exchange is that the money is always stored in your wallet, and the match only compares orders. \n\nYou retain complete control over your funds when trading them on our decentralized exchange. This allows us to take full advantage of both centralised and decentralised technologies. In addition, implementing the latest developments has allowed us to increase network capacity to hundreds of transactions per second.\n\nTrade without limits\nOn centralised exchanges, it’s the administrators who decide which pairs will be traded. Waves’ DEX allows you to trade any token pairs that are on the blockchain. In addition, there are no restrictions on the withdrawal of funds from the DEX. As soon as your transaction is complete, the cryptocurrency will appear in your wallet.\n\nDon’t waste money on high fees\nThere is a very low and fixed fee on our exchange, which doesn’t depend on the size of the trade. The commission per order is 0.003 WAVES. If an order isn’t executed in full, an incomplete and proportional commission is calculated for you. By canceling the order, you lose nothing.\n\nProtection from front-running and other fraud\nYour orders are transferred to the matcher over an encrypted channel and are not visible to other participants until the moment of execution. This excludes the possibility of unscrupulous traders manipulating information about an upcoming trade.\n\nIssuing your tokens, token sales\n\nCryptographically secured blockchain tokens allow any business to issue its own internal digital currency on the blockchain to pay for goods and services within its project. The actual cost of tokens (Custom Application Tokens) is established using open market mechanisms.\n\nThe role of the token is determined by the nature of each individual project and can be integrated into it not only as an internal currency but also as a token for decentralised voting, as a rating system, or loyalty program.\nRaise funds for the development of your project\nBy releasing blockchain tokens, you provide valuable services to network users, such as the possibility of transferring value in the form of certain convenient units, therefore attracting funds for the development of your project.\nGet loyal users of your product\nBy holding an ICO not only do you receive money for development, but you also gain loyal users for your product who believe in the project and are ready to become its first followers as well as give honest feedback.\nCompanies that have released their own tokens on Waves:\nWorldwide coworking spaces for Tech Community\nPrimalbase raised over 3000 BTC during crowdsale\nWe are very grateful to all who participated early and provided strong support to the project. | title | Why Apple is better than Microsoft |
| body | Have you ever debated which is better - Apple or Microsoft? Well. the fact is, most people would say that Apple products are better than Microsoft. Phil Schiller sure does: “There are people who want us to innovate faster and when we do there’s people who say, ‘Whoa, whoa, you’re going too fast.’ That’s just a balance in the world.” I believe consumers should buy Apple products because of their overall performance, superior quality, and better security. One reason Apple is better than Microsoft is because Apple designs all of their products for optimal performance, from their chips to their operating systems. The iMac’s tech specs (with the best possible configuration) are a 4.2GHz quad-core 7th generation Intel Core i7 processor with Turbo Boost up to 4.5GHz, 64GB RAM, 2TB SSD or 3TB Fusion Drive, Radeon Pro 580 Graphics with 8GB video memory, Two Thunderbolt 3 Ports, and a Retina 5K 5120 by 2880 P3 display. iMac also has faster than ever graphics rendering needed in apps like Final Cut Pro X and in some games too. It also comes with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, which can deliver content up to 40GB/s. Also, the iMac comes with a Retina 5K display that is, 43% brighter than previous model. Here’s the best part - the iMac starts at only $1299. In this category, Apple wins! From the moment you pick up an Apple product, its high quality build is apparent. Apple carefully selects components for use in its products to optimize performance. Take for instance the iMac Pro, which has an option between the AMD Radeon Pro Vega 64 or Vega 56 (the Vega 64 is better) and an Intel Xeon W configurable with an 8, 10, 14, or 18 core processor. With the 18-core processor, each core clocks at 2.3GHz, but listen, with Turbo Boost, each core can clock at 4.3GHz! You can also configure your iMac Pro with up to 128GB of RAM, Apple wins! The next and final reason Apple is better than Microsoft: security. Everyone should care about security because a vulnerable computer can be send out your personal information or credit card # or anything else. Nowadays, another worry is that an insecure computer can allow viruses and malware like CoinHive to sneak onto your system. As Apple says: “Apple products are designed to do amazing things. And designed to protect your privacy.” Also, Appinstructor states that “Apple products have plenty of security applications and tools available to them so that the rare virus (most criminals like to go after Windows users) doesn’t get through. These security applications will do things such as scan your device for any problems and remove threats already on it. Others will hide your identity so that people can’t track you online and allow you to use dangerous public networks without any difficulty. The basic system in any Apple product will have safeguards in it as well.” Apple wins again! I believe consumers should buy Apple products because of their great performance, superior build quality and strong security. So, let me ask you a question after all of that - “Would you choose Apple or Microsoft?” Buyers appear to be voting for Apple as the company continues to gain market share. |
