      "body": "I don't believe to tread the normal magic path, I didn't get into magic at a young age like other Magicians. At Christmas I never asked for a magic kit or got handed a magic book. Throughout High School I was fairly shy and to myself, I didn't know how to break the ice or start conversation. When I was a Junior in High School my brother rented a David Blaine magic special from Blockbuster (what in the world is that?). I sunk in the couch with eyes half open, my eyes almost popped out of my head when I saw a special thing happen. It wasn't the trick that amazed me the most, but the way that grown adults reacted. There is so much wonder and an avalanche of other feelings in one moment that you don't get in anything else. Someone gets a birthday present, they may have an outburst of joy in the form of a happy yell or an emotional breakdown. Don't get me wrong, presents are awesome too, this was a horse of a different color, a sudden perception that ANYTHING is possible. Laws that are integrated in us are broken before our eyes and the brain has a wonderful time calculating what is happening. It leads to astonishment! I was in deep with hours of practice, failing trying to perform for somebody, and more practice. I even moved to Las Vegas on a whim because of magic, that's a whole different story\n\n![faces.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmUgM5tnzjQ6jfJQRkrNfhrxUZBPvYMSdAA1KqVVkpCsnj/faces.jpg)\n\nI started performing more and more, you would not see me without a deck of cards in hand. I  would go to perform for companies and at private parties and brought nothing but a deck of cards and myself. I learned a few\n\nPeople don't like a show off. Any individual can see through your intentions, if you are doing it just to pat yourself on the back it doesn't serve anyone but yourself and your friends or audience will catch on fast, serve people and not just yourself if you are going to share. When I first started out I would barely speak, I would show the trick and expect something grand out of it. I was fooling myself to think that people would have a great time that way, I started being more personable, talking, telling people,\" Hey, this looks like a fun group, what do you guys think about...?\".       "body": "I don't believe to tread the normal magic path, I didn't get into magic at a young age like other Magicians. At Christmas I never asked for a magic kit or got handed a magic book. Throughout High School I was fairly shy and to myself, I didn't know how to break the ice or start conversation. When I was a Junior in High School my brother rented a David Blaine magic special from Blockbuster (what in the world is that?). I sunk in the couch with eyes half open, my eyes almost popped out of my head when I saw a special thing happen. It wasn't the trick that amazed me the most, but the way that grown adults reacted. There is so much wonder and an avalanche of other feelings in one moment that you don't get in anything else. Someone gets a birthday present, they may have an outburst of joy in the form of a happy yell or an emotional breakdown. Don't get me wrong, presents are awesome too, this was a horse of a different color, a sudden perception that ANYTHING is possible. Laws that are integrated in us are broken before our eyes and the brain has a wonderful time calculating what is happening. It leads to astonishment! I was in deep with hours of practice, failing trying to perform for somebody, and more practice. Any individual can see through your intentions, if you are doing it just to pat yourself on the back it doesn't serve anyone but yourself and your friends or audience will catch on fast, serve people and not just yourself if you are going to share. When I first started out I would barely speak, I would show the trick and expect something grand out of it.
