      "body": "7th week since I moved $1,000 into Monero. Current value is $93.51. As per usual, I'll answer one question for a follower about this investment and why I've chosen this coin. I'll do some updates on the other coins in my portfolio at a later date.\n\nMonero is a privacy-based cryptocurrency which uses ring signature technology to mask transactions. This sort of thing is superior to most altcoins, as it allows its users to hide their wallet information from public viewing; something which should be done by any transactional cryptocurrency.\n\nThe value was ~ $50 when I invested in this. I'm currently sitting on $1,850, which is a significant increase!\n\nQuestion from follower: At what price do you intend on selling XMR?\n\nAnswer: I'm not sure. It depends on the market. When investing in things like this, you need to keep a close eye on it. Personally, I'm in this for the long haul, but that doesn't mean there isn't money to be made in the meantime by predicting market rises/falls. Keep an eye on social media, if hype is growing it might be worth investing more.       "body": "Don't believe the Bitcoin Cash lies. There are 2 outcomes from this whole Bitcoin mess. Lets explain the current situation.\n\nBitcoin was created many years ago and is incredibly out-of-date compared to traditional currencies such as Litecoin. The Bitcoin blockchain has several scalability issues along with a range of mining issues. There are too many issues to count with the original version of Bitcoin. Of course, it works, but not to a satisfactory standard.\n\nAnd then came Bitcoin Cash. Bitcoin Cash solved the scaling issues whilst also being a fork of the Bitcoin blockchain. So it acted in the EXACT same fashion, but could potentially meet the transaction demand and be the future of Bitcoin. And then we had the whole disagreement between people who argued that the legacy Bitcoin has already been implemented everywhere that trying to push this new coin would put the community back years of hard work in promoting the coin and this would only complicate matters further. Others saw it as a necessary change which needed to be bared in order to improve Bitcoin going ahead.\n\nHowever, we are now introducing Bitcoin Gold. This too, solves the scalability issues of Bitcoin (same as Bitcoin Cash), but also solves the range of mining issues. Bitcoin Gold can be mined using a GPU and this fixes all possible decentralization worries that have haunted the mining community for the past few months.\n\nSo, either we stick with the legacy \"good ol' fashioned\" Bitcoin, which has been adopted by several sites as a valid payment method - OR we choose Bitcoin Gold.\n\nThere is ABSOLUTELY no reason to choose Bitcoin Cash as it is inferior to Bitcoin Gold in everyway.       "body": "With bitcoin and ethereum reaching whole new levels and pulling away from competing cryptocurrencies, we are left with a forky mess to clean up. Some might call this mess a salad, and we need a fork to clean this up.\n\nSo what is a 'fork'? The term derives from open source programming and has been popularized by GitHub (an open-source and collaboration website used by millions). A fork is when a piece of open source code is replicated and then changed/updated to create additional features or fix existing issues. With bitcoin being an open source project with a development team - It comes as no surprise that the project must be forked to solve the existing blockchain issues.\n\nI personally believe that the blockchain is not the future. Tangle, a blockchain alternative used by IOTA, offers free & instant transactions. This is a much better solution than the blockchain which requires confirmations, charges fees and stinks of a rusty, old project which needs modernization. The solution to our problems was said to be bitcoin cash. It solved the long waiting problem but didn't solve the transaction fee problem. But we don't really mind paying fees to prioritize transactions, so a large number of community members invested into Bitcoin Cash.\n\nNow we hear talk of a new fork to solve existing decentralization issues. With it not being possible for everyone to mine bitcoins off their GPUs, we have the issue that large companies are mining bitcoins and nobody else is - Causing Bitcoin to become centralized.\n\nSo what is the real solution to bitcoin and where will we be in a few years?\n\nThe answer to this question is: NOT WITH BITCOIN. The development team are stuck with a leading crypto and are hesitant to sway away from it. The solution would be a decentralized cryptocurrency with instant and free transactions which would offer anonymity similar to the likes of Monero & DASH.\n\nMy friends, the solution to our problems has been right in front of us all along. IOTA is our saviour. Invest now before it's too late!",
