El Mariscal Pablo Morillo había invadido la isla el 14 de julio de ese año con el fin de acabar con la resistencia de los insulares al poder español. En esos momentos Margarita era uno de los pocos núcleos de la resistencia venezolana a las fuerzas del Pacificador.\n\nMorillo asaltó la ciudad el 8 de agosto. Los habitantes se defendieron tenazmente, en especial el fuerte de La Galera resistió el asalto español. Los patriotas que guarnecían La Galera hicieron fuego sobre los realistas, en el calor de la batalla llegaron a lanzarles grandes rocas a los atacantes.\n\nUn accidente en las bóvedas del fortín donde se hallaba el parque provocó una explosión que mató a la mayoría de los defensores, los pocos que sobrevivieron se retiraron a la laguna Salada donde fueron liquidados por los realistas. Juan Griego fue saqueada por los españoles e incendiada.\nA pesar de la victoria conseguida por Morillo, sus fuerzas estaban diezmadas luego de los combates tan feroces que presentaron los margariteños.       "body": "Para mi primero post quisiera hablarles sobre mi persona y la posada donde trabajo.\n\nSoy venezolano de 23 años, el único de porte que me gusta es el MMA o artes marciales mixtas, a la edad de 18 años tuve la oportunidad de aprender un poco pero debido a la situación del país tuve que dejar de practicarlo ya que se me había un poco costoso, actualmente vivo en mi trabajo el cual les voy  hablar ahorita.. vivo en una posada turística en el yaque, un sector bastante turístico debido a la playa y restaurantes que hay en los alrededores, y bueno, sin mas preámbulo, les hablare de la posada donde trabajo. \n\nLa posada de toño, se encuentra en la isla de margarita, venezuela.       "body": "Para mi primero post quisiera hablarles sobre la posada en la cual trabajo.\n\nLa posada de toño, se encuentra en la isla de margarita, venezuela. Es una posada bastante acogedora que cuenta con solo 7 habitaciones para huéspedes turísticos, debido a que somos relativamente nuevos en el área turística no poseemos gran cantidad de habitaciones pero poco a poco iremos creciendo a medida que podamos y que la situación de nuestro país mejore y sean mas factibles las compras de materiales y productos para ofrecerles a los huéspedes. \n\nsin mas que decir.. aqui les dejo las imagenes de la posada en mi primer post.\n\nPD: aqui les dejo una foto del cuidador de la posada  y dueño El señor toño.
