I know I’m an able teacher of children, and that my love of knowledge is conveyed in the way I teach them English and Math, but somehow there is a part of me that I am not allocating time to, and that part of me demands that I honour it. \n\nThis confirmation was given to me this morning as I read Robert Moss’s blog about Joan of Arc and the Tree Seers. I read somewhere that Joan of Arc may possibly have been a person with a bi-cameral brain. I looked for this article and came across a reference to it here: http://www.philosophyforlife.org/voice-hearing-and-the-bicameral-mind/ \nThis is particularly interesting, as I have experienced something similar in the past. On the 29th October 1990, heavily pregnant with my second child, and experiencing what Mary Rodwell calls ED contact (Extra Dimensional), a voice in my head said, in my native tongue – a language I rarely think in – so I knew instantly that this was not internal talk, a message which translates as ‘today or tomorrow you will give birth’. Understand that I was still only in my 36th week, and that I had yet four weeks to go. Sophie was born the next day, as I had been told. \n\nBack to what my concern was – whether I am honouring that ‘other’ part of myself which needs expression – what I call my Uranus conjunct North Node in the 12th house. According to Bernadette Brady and Darrelyn Gunzburg, Uranus in H12 talks of a deep connection with ancient sites, stones. To have Uranus conjunct the North Node in the 12th house suggests that there is indeed a deep connection, on subconscious levels, with ancient sites, and I truly do experience this connection whenever I visit megalithic sites. Of course, Uranus is not acting on its own here, as it is not the only planet in my chart: Uranus sextiles Venus in Gemini in the 10th (ruling the third house, and the intercepted ninth). A Uranus Venus sextile is not a strong aspect, but nonetheless a pleasant one, and speaks to me of how, in my life, I have drawn many interesting people to me when I do my Uranus North Node. \n\nLast summer, the August eclipse at 28 Leo hit my nodes, and I do believe that it shook me up somewhat. If ever there was an aspect in the chart that spoke of the native as having the opportunity to be an astrologer, well, it is there in my chart. By trade I am a teacher, a profession which pursued me rather than the other way round, but as someone by the name of Ole once pointed out, I am doing my South Node in Aquarius in the 6th house. Possibly so. \nReading Robert Moss’s blog this morning, I thought that a good way to encounter my Uranus archetype would be to journey to where it is, as in shamanic journeying. From time immemorial, eclipses were portenders or disaster and chaos, as the light giver was momentarily made to disappear or diminish its light. \n\nAll eclipses are game changers, and it would be interesting to see where this degree falls in your chart. In mine, the eclipse conjuncts my south node, so it is all to do with the tools I came into this lifetime with. A long time ago, a person told me that I am doing my south node; I am a teacher of young children, when in fact I should aspire to do my north node, which is conjunct Uranus, in my 12th house. Well, this eclipse may be just the thing I need to get to do things differently. Recently, my partner suffered a health issue which truly got me to reassess all that I had hold onto for securit.
