As the fees for Bitcoin can hurt profits, it would be wise to get paid in another currency. When autoswitching not only are you getting hit with exchanges fees but there are also fees for processing payouts and depending on the miner you are using there might be another fee. To reduce this, you should consider getting paid out in ALTcoins then once you have a decent amount, exchange it for the coin of your choice. However, we run the risk of our adapters failing, by shorting out, melting or the worse case - catching fire. As I work all the time, I can't afford to have my property to catch fire. I never really worried about it much until I saw the pictures and heard horror stories. You may hear some people say that sata to 6 pin power adapters are bad, or molex to 6 pin, but one thing we all agree on is a direct connection (6 pin to 6 pin) is the best. \n\nI now have peace of mind, yes the system can still go up in smoke but it is less likely, more efficient, and more reliable than before. I have been running this system since the recording of this video for around 2 weeks. It is running strong and I have had no issues since if the power cuts off the system will reboot and start auto mining. The system will shut down if something goes wrong, and stay off until I am able to resolve any issues.\nIn this battle of ATX VS Server power supplies, for crypto mining, I recommend a server power supply ALL DAY. If your willing to put up with a little bit more noise than your standard ATX.\n\nBelow I have included some links to conversations on safe power adapters used to power riser cards. I recommend reading them if you are looking to build your own mining rig or expand your current setup. I also included information about what size AWG (Guage) wires can support higher or lower Amps.
