A relaxing trip to just chill by the beach or the resort's infinity pool (really amazing view). Bali was on the list but after considering that it's now densely populated and the bad jams, we decided on somewhere prettier and less crowded! We departed from Bangsal Harbour. Our speedboat charter for the 2 of us cost us about 700,000 IDR round trip. That makes it to about 175,000 IDR (~ $17.5 SGD) per pax for a one-way trip. Alternatively, you can opt for the cheaper slow boat which takes about an hour to reach (I hate boat rides so nope). Good luck to you when it rains. There are no motorised transport on Gili Tranwangan. The main mode of transport here would be walking, cycling, or by cidomo (Horse and cart). The horses here are poorly treated and groomed. The tour around the 3 Gili Islands took roughly 5 hours. We managed to see some sea turtles and marine life but unfortunately didn’t manage to snap much photos as I was down with very bad motion sickness from the boat ride. --- <center><img src="https://steemitimages.com/DQmXmQ1n55CHL9BgXchCzNoxKbskhj1uUixcTiZyr3D3g62/IMG_20180402_135836.jpg"></center><br> Our last day in Lombok, we decided to end it with a massage at Puri Mas Spa Resort. A relaxing trip to just chill by the beach or the resort's infinity pool (really amazing view). Bali was on the list but after considering that it's now densely populated and the bad jams, we decided on somewhere prettier and less crowded! We departed from Bangsal Harbour. Our speedboat charter for the 2 of us cost us about 700,000 IDR round trip. That makes it to about 175,000 IDR (~ $17.5 SGD) per pax for a one-way trip. Alternatively, you can opt for the cheaper slow boat which takes about an hour to reach (I hate boat rides so nope). Probably set you back for about 25,000 IDR.\n\n---\n<center><img src=\"https://steemitimages.com/DQmWrdQDp2pmvKSEmvcc7uE789BuTiCh1p6YMYzQ1YMVCuJ/IMG_20180331_092726.jpg\"></center><br>\n\nCrystal Clear water at the jetty\n\n---\n<center><img src=\"https://steemitimages.com/DQmby2ZoNaZg2uDsT6X6rXkLuL3uSa8rD2LnMGzm1SSwapk/IMG_20180331_095032.jpg\"></center><br>\n\nOur stay at Gili Trawangan at Ponte Villas\n\n---\n<center><img src=\"https://steemitimages.com/DQmaL5CuoviwztX3hYMHuupasG1rF7TPwT6f1HScGft73Py/IMG_20180331_095841.jpg\"></center><br>\n\nFriendly receptions at Ponte Villa in Gili!\n\n---\n<center><img src=\"https://steemitimages.com/DQmP8mMxkPNmPrsDCJSxxp2rRBxYvb4666jvmYtzQ62a5MJ/IMG_20180331_094009.jpg\"></center><br>\n\nGili Trawangan.\n\n---\n<center><img src=\"https://steemitimages.com/DQmYkUXuxoSUhm7N7zebowocU3i1byYFMMca7eAaZ94cYsX/IMG_20180331_105627.jpg\"></center><br>\n\nThe road was fairly disgusting as it was a mixture of mud, sand and HORSE DUNG. Good luck to you when it rains. There are no motorised transport on Gili Tranwangan. The main mode of transport here would be walking, cycling, or by cidomo (Horse and cart). The horses here are poorly treated and groomed. I do not support such treatment and encourage all to avoid taking these horses as a form of transport. \n\n---\n<center><img src=\"https://steemitimages.com/DQmeHdGoC7hDvyRsr8oQCUjSFXVpHEQ4xJVktYfqaKXhNsg/IMG_20180331_093233.jpg \"></center><br>\n\nTypical shopfront offering a tour around the Gili Islands. \n\n---\n\n<center><img src=\"https://steemitimages.com/DQmSq8bebfGkek8XdqYV27jYHCFTVtGZpRhh1ZDLUYnzaaE/IMG_20180331_112026.jpg\"></center><br>\n\nSnorkelling trip around the Gili Islands! The tour around the 3 Gili Islands took roughly 5 hours. We managed to see some sea turtles and marine life but unfortunately didn’t manage to snap much photos as I was down with very bad motion sickness from the boat ride. \n\n---\n<center><img src=\"https://steemitimages.com/DQmXmQ1n55CHL9BgXchCzNoxKbskhj1uUixcTiZyr3D3g62/IMG_20180402_135836.jpg\"></center><br>\n\nOur last day in Lombok, we decided to end it with a massage at Puri Mas Spa Resort. A relaxing trip to just chill by the beach or the resort's infinity pool (really amazing view). Bali was on the list but after considering that it's now densely populated and the bad jams, we decided on somewhere prettier and less crowded! So here's a short overview of Lombok and Gili! --- <center><img src="https://steemitimages.com/DQmYT3m8wX7NmEUCeTjSgznWT2f9iPHiXUMXvaCosUPeG1A/IMG_20180330_132345.jpg"></center><br> We went during the end of March (still considered the rainy season) but the weather was good, if not a little too sunny! --- <center><img src="https://steemitimages.com/DQmX7s2jYpdL1SxN7q4ockJ42TqYD3qiFtjM3oEEBZWagg5/IMG_20180330_160235.jpg"></center><br> Katamaran Resort - One of the best places to stay in Lombok. --- <center><img src="https://steemitimages.com/DQmRA5tZU4aaS76bVWBiXJfPSUCyZTJ1f8Ke9d4UquEvdL5/IMG_20180330_153728.jpg"></center><br> I’m a sucker for infinity pools with breath-taking ocean views. --- <center><img src="https://steemitimages.com/DQmU1Y6KkV8F55LGwaBPRHJTLZr3U2iGCKsbLqBuE2YzGrP/IMG_20180402_095121.jpg"></center><br> Bathub view from our suite. --- <center><img src="https://steemitimages.com/DQmRKsTPiXp7WwtM8MPg9YJJF5uWmUqDAXBXKJrLtJtdTc7/IMG_20180402_100220.jpg"></center><br> Lunch by the beach – take some time off and clear your mind. --- <center><img src="https://steemitimages.com/DQmcZnkcZ2ZAbF3Qx4zxSXyCtEnneP6FtkMEoduHTiSJzE7/IMG_20180330_161650.jpg"></center><br> Perfect way to end the day with a Pina Colada. --- <center><img src="https://steemitimages.com/DQme56vmLjXwCXWPsjB3tRDvWgPkkBHSyh5byq1a9R6tsuv/IMG_20180331_091743.jpg"></center><br> The Gili Islands are a 15 minutes boat ride (speedboat) north-west of the coast of Lombok. We departed from Bangsal Harbour. Our speedboat charter for the 2 of us cost us about 700,000 IDR round trip. That makes it to about 175,000 IDR (~ $17.5 SGD) per pax for a one-way trip. Alternatively, you can opt for the cheaper slow boat which takes about an hour to reach (I hate boat rides so nope). Probably set you back for about 25,000 IDR. --- <center><img src="https://steemitimages.com/DQmWrdQDp2pmvKSEmvcc7uE789BuTiCh1p6YMYzQ1YMVCuJ/IMG_20180331_092726.jpg"></center><br> Crystal Clear water at the jetty --- <center><img src="https://steemitimages.com/DQmby2ZoNaZg2uDsT6X6rXkLuL3uSa8rD2LnMGzm1SSwapk/IMG_20180331_095032.jpg"></center><br> Our stay at Gili Trawangan at Ponte Villas --- <center><img src="https://steemitimages.com/DQmaL5CuoviwztX3hYMHuupasG1rF7TPwT6f1HScGft73Py/IMG_20180331_095841.jpg"></center><br> Friendly receptions at Ponte Villa in Gili! --- <center><img src="https://steemitimages.com/DQmP8mMxkPNmPrsDCJSxxp2rRBxYvb4666jvmYtzQ62a5MJ/IMG_20180331_094009.jpg"></center><br> Gili Trawangan. --- <center><img src="https://steemitimages.com/DQmYkUXuxoSUhm7N7zebowocU3i1byYFMMca7eAaZ94cYsX/IMG_20180331_105627.jpg"></center><br> The road was fairly disgusting as it was a mixture of mud, sand and HORSE DUNG. Good luck to you when it rains. There are no motorised transport on Gili Tranwangan. The main mode of transport here would be walking, cycling, or by cidomo (Horse and cart). The horses here are poorly treated and groomed. I do not support such treatment and encourage all to avoid taking these horses as a form of transport. --- <center><img src="https://steemitimages.com/DQmeHdGoC7hDvyRsr8oQCUjSFXVpHEQ4xJVktYfqaKXhNsg/IMG_20180331_093233.jpg "></center><br> Typical shopfront offering a tour around the Gili Islands. --- <center><img src="https://steemitimages.com/DQmSq8bebfGkek8XdqYV27jYHCFTVtGZpRhh1ZDLUYnzaaE/IMG_20180331_112026.jpg"></center><br> Snorkelling trip around the Gili Islands! The tour around the 3 Gili Islands took roughly 5 hours. We managed to see some sea turtles and marine life but unfortunately didn’t manage to snap much photos as I was down with very bad motion sickness from the boat ride. --- <center><img src="https://steemitimages.com/DQmXmQ1n55CHL9BgXchCzNoxKbskhj1uUixcTiZyr3D3g62/IMG_20180402_135836.jpg"></center><br> Our last day in Lombok, we decided to end it with a massage at Puri Mas Spa Resort.
