You obviously need to be a South African (expats are welcome too).\n2. Follow @teamsouthafrica. The @teamsouthafrica account will follow all official members in return (this will be the “official” list of members).\n3. Follow any existing **Team South Africa** members that you share a common interest with (no need to follow everyone).\n4.       "body": "https://s2.postimg.org/4szs2wts9/man-holding-marijuana-leaf-grow-farm-cannabis-ge.jpg\n\nAs some of you may know, there is a famous couple in South Africa called the dagga couple (dagga is another name for marijuana in South Africa) who got caught growing marijuana in their private residence in 2012 and have since embarked on a journey to legalise and decriminalise marijuana in South Africa.\n\nWe have recently had a ruling by a high court allowing the use of marijuana in your home, obviously, this is not in effect yet and still needs to go through more processing and finalisation. This is great news but the war is far from over. We are calling on all South African's as well as our international friends to sign a petition in order to garner more numbers and support for the cause.\n\nYou can find out more about the dagga couple as well as the petition on their [website](https://daggacouple.co.za). They have created an entire timeline from 2012 when they were first caught growing and had a case against them up until 2018 whereby the case for legalisation will be put forward. Capital outflow is a sign of investor confidence as well as stability within South Africa's sphere.\n\nIn an interview with iol.co.za PSG Wealth regional director Amelia Morgenrood had this to say about the outflows;\n\n\"There was a survey conducted recently in which the JSE was ranked number one in terms of returns over the past 100 years,” Morgenrood said. “Simply put, it was the best-performing stock exchange on Earth.\"\n\n\"However, that has changed. What we have seen is that around R270bn has flown out of the JSE in the past 18 months. We have also seen average South Africans preferring to invest their capital outside the country in the region of around R80bn.”\n\nMorgenrood cited the lack of economic leadership and the absence of proper economic policy as key reasons for the capital outflow.\n\n“It’s difficult to understand why foreigners are leaving. South Africa has always been seen as a very entrepreneurial country with our chief executives on a par with much of the global players,” she said.\n\nSouth Africa definitely has the potential for growth but poor economic policies and corrupt politicians (Zuptas anyone?) prevent the country from reaching its full potential. As a South African, with racial tensions increasing and more and more capital (human and monetary) leaving the country I have little faith in the next few years.\n\nAn example of the South African government's corruption is recently creating a case to reduce the number of provinces from 9 to 6. Anyone with half a brain can see this is done in order to manipulate voting and create majority voters within each area.
