My major disadvantage in learning French was that I spoke fluent Spanish, and both languages have so much similarities that it is so easy to let one language cause confusion for the other.  For example, what I have noticed is that in Spanish, you have a way of addressing either one person or more than one person in the familiar form.  (That is, \"tu\" and \"vosotros\" or \"vosotras.\")  In French, you can only address one person directly in the familiar form by using the word \"tu.\"  If you're addressing more than one person, you have to address them as \"vous,\" which is the formal.  Of course, when you're speaking Spanish in Latin America, people always address more than one person in the formal form as \"Ustedes.\"  Every language seems to have its fair share of peculiarities.  Anyhow, . . . bonne chance avec votre français. :-)",

I've gotten a little rusty at it, and it's embarrassing for me inasmuch as I have French in my ancestry.  I find that many Americans here in the United States of America where I live have this misconception that France has a permissive society.  However, I believe that the United States of America really has a sheltered and Puritanical society as compared with other cultures.  I have a curiosity about Miquelon and Saint Pierre off the east coast of Canada.  They are two islands that are considered to be within the French jurisdiction.  If you do an article about those two islands, I will definitely be reading it and voting on it.  Anyhow, I'm glad to have you aboard here on Steemit. :-)",
