Ironiknya, mencakup manusia yang mencipta komputer untuk memudahkan tugas harian, tetapi juga komputer yang mengirim adat menghauskan tenaga dan otak manusia. \n\n Ya, memang pengguna dapat menggunakan komputer untuk melakukan pelbagai tugas harian di mana menggunakan komputer bukan sahaja menjimatkan masa dan tenaga, dan juga kecekapannya juga sangat nyaman berbanding dengan tenaga mahir. Akan tetapi, perasaan kecewa pasti akan timbul oleh pengguna yang menghadapi masalah komputer di lur jangkaan. Misalnya, operasi dan tindak blas komputer menjadi perlahan-lahan menjejaskan kecekapannya\n\nBukankah pengguna yang sepatutnya menggunakan penggunan  komputer? Mengapakah masih ada masalah-masalah yang menghalang pengguna untuk menikmati penggunaan komputer? Meskipun terdapat sistem operasi seperti Windows yang lebih dinamis, Windows lahirnya Windows XP yang diumpamakan sebagai sistem operasi yang paling mesra pengguna, namun realitinya tidakkah pengguna sendiri yang masih memungkinkan untuk operasi komputer dan komputer yang dicipta yang dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan stail penggunaan dan pengguna pengguna?\n\nAdakah anda berasa keadaan berikut sering berlaku dalam penggunaan komputer anda: tindak balas *browser* IE amat lembab,\nkelajuan menghidupkan komputer amat perlahan, kad memori tidak berupaya menampung penggunaan komputer, laman web Java tidak dipapar dengan sempurna, perisian anti-virus tidak dapat menyokong Windows XP, komputer tidak dapat dimatikan secara automatik, tidak tahu melaksanakan parameter perintah DOS, dan sebagainya.\n\nMeskipun syarikat Microsoft mengemukakan fungsi penetapan yang membolehkan pengguna mengubahkannya mengikut keperluan sendiri, namun penetapan ini masih terhad kepada aspek tertentu dan tidak dapat memuaskan pengguna. Pengguna harus faham bahawa registry file boleh diumpamakan DNA sistem operasi Windows, penyelarasan dan pengubahan yang salah bukan sahaja mendatangkan kesan yang di luar jangkaan, malah boleh menyebabkan komputer tergendala ataupun berlakunya kerosakan.\n\nBuku ini merangkumi perbincangan terperinci tentang maklumat file registry Windows.
