      "body": "첫 포스팅을 써봅니다.\n저는 경제학이나 경영학 전문가도 아니고\n화폐 이론에 대해 깊이있는 지식을 가진 것도 아닙니다\n다만 상식과 논리로 지금의 암호화폐 문제에 접근해 보고 싶습니다.\n개개인에게 분산화되어 관리되는 화폐의 개념에 있어서 이런 일반적인 수준의 논리와 그 이해는 나름 중요한 의미가 있다고 생각합니다.\n블럭체인 자체가 합의에 기반한 시스템이고 합의에는 이해가 선행되어야 하니까요\n논리나 예시의 부적절함이 엿보인다면 많이 지적해 주시기 바랍니다. \n첫 글을 시작하는 저에게 더 많은 도움이 될 것 같습니다.\n\n본론으로 들어가서\n어제 JTBC 토론이 사람들에게 암호화폐와 블록체인에 대해 많은 관심을 불러 일으켰다고 생각합니다만 \n많은 세부 주제들이 난상토론에 가깝게 진행되었고 암호화폐에 대한 기초지식이 부족한 사람들에게는 여전히 이해하기 어려운 설명이 많았다고 생각합니다. 지금 진행되고 있는 여러가지 논쟁 거리들을 하나씩 확인하는 수준이었달까요.\n\n저는 어제 논쟁의 핵심 중에 하나가  유시민 작가의 \"비트코인의 내재가치는 0이다\"이라는 주장이 아닌가 합니다. 유시민 작가는 논리를 풀어감에 있어서 가장 기본적인 전제로 비트코인을 그 자체로는 아무런 가치를 갖지 않는 내재가치 0의 존재로 보고 있습니다. 그렇기 때문에 비트코인은 잘 만들어진 장난감에 불과한 것이고 사토시가 블록체인 기술의 발전을 위해 사람들의 참여를 유도하려는 목적으로 비트코인 보상체계를 넣었다고 추정하는 것이지요.\n\n그 추정도 사실과는 거리가 있는 추정에 불과하다는 것은 차치하고 (사토시 그룹은 기존 중앙집권화된 화폐를 대체하려는 목적으로 비트코인을 개발했음을 밝힌 바 있습니다) 내재 가치가 존재하지 않는다는 그 기본 전제가 틀렸음은  2가지 관점에서 확인할 수 있을 것 같습니다. 내재 가치란 것도 다양하게 바라 볼 수 있지만 일단은 금전적인 가치의 관점으로 한정해 보겠습니다.\n\n첫번째는 비용의 측면입니다.\n\n모든 종류의 화폐 그리고 화폐 시스템은 그 시스템을 온전히 유지하기 위한 유지비용이 발생합니다.\n화폐가 안정적인 거래수단으로 온전히 작동하기 위한 최소한의 조건을 갖춰줘야 하기 때문이지요.\n\n중앙은행에서 발행하는 동전이나 지폐의 경우 거래 안정성을 위해 가장 중요한 건 바로 위조 방지입니다. \n특히 발행 비용에 비해 액면가가 큰 지폐의 경우에는 다양한 위조방지 기술이 적용되고 있고 중앙 은행에서는 이를 위해 많은 비용을 지출하고 있습니다.\n물론 화폐 자체가 실물이기 때문에 그 발행을 위한 비용도 만만치 않게 발생하게 됩니다. (동전의 경우 생산원가가 실제 액면가의 수십% 수준이지요)\n\n전산화된 결제의 경우는 어떻습니까.\n우리는 잘 인식하지 못 하고 있지만 우리가 은행을 통해 입출금을 하고 신용카드를 사용하고 인터넷 소액결제를 하는 모든 순간에 그 거래의 내용이 전산으로 기록되어 주고 받아집니다. (이걸 일반적으로 “트랜잭션”이라고 부르죠) \n그 모든 것들이 다 전산화된 돈 = 화폐의 흐름입니다.\n거래랑 돈이랑 다른 것이라고요?\n그렇지 않습니다. 실제 은행은 현금 없이 즉 현금을 이용하지 않고도 내부 회원들 간의 돈의 거래를 만들어 냅니다. 전산상의 장부에 기록하는 것만으로요.\n단지 거래 기록만으로 돈의 흐름이 만들어지는 것입니다.\n(비트코인은 바로 이 점에서 착안한 것이겠지요)\n기록 자체가 돈의 흐름이자 고객 개개인의 돈의 양이기때문에 이 정보는 매우 중요합니다.\n그 안정성을 위해 은행이 지불하는 비용은 막대합니다.\n고성능의 서버와 데이터베이스, 그 위에 돌아가는 시스템의 개발비와 운영비, 각종 보안비용.. 등등\n\n비용이 발생하는 모든 것에는 필연적으로 내재적 가치를 지니게 되어 있습니다. \n비용을 들여 유지함으로 얻어지는 “실익”이 있기 때문이죠.\n그렇다면 그렇게 비용을 들여가며 유지하려는 실익은 과연 무엇입니까.\n바로 “거래의 안정성에 대한 보장”이란 실익입니다.\n즉 거래 안정성이야말로 화폐의 가장 중요한 내재가치인 겁니다.\n\n현금은 화폐 실물 그 자체가 그 안정성을 보장합니다.\n너무나도 확고한 보장이지요. \n은행이나 결제사를 통한 거래의 경우에는 각종 개인의 비밀번호, 서버의 암호화 기술, 네트워크의 보안 등으로  그 거래의 안정성을 보장합니다.   \n그리고 비트코인은? \n바로 블록체인이라는 분산원장 기술과 그 유지를 위한 채굴이라는 보상시스템을 통해 거래의 안정성을 보장하는 것이지요.\n\n비용 그 자체가 본질적으로 내재 가치일 수는 없습니다. \n하지만 지속적으로 비용이 지출되는 시스템이란 그 안에 지속적으로 유지할만한 기능적인 가치를 지니고 있음은 분명하며, 그 가치는 거기에 소요되는 비용에 상응하는 가치 혹은 그 이상일 수 있다고 결론 내릴 수 있습니다. \n\n화폐에 있어 거래의 안정성 이상으로 중요한 내재 가치가 또 있을까요. 하지만 이것은 다분히 정성적인 측면이 강해서 일단 정량적인 관점에서 접근해 본 것입니다.\n\n(은행이 많은 돈을 들여 시스템을 운영하지만 그것이 돈으로 돈을 만드는것이 아니지 않은가라는 반론도 있을 수 있습니다. 그러나  은행이란 신뢰의 기관입니다. 또 신용창출의 기관이기도 하지요. 신뢰를 기반으로 고객의 돈을 모으고 그 돈을 빌려주고 이자를 받습니다. 그 과정에서 말 그대로 돈이 창출됩니다. 이자의 형태로요. 은행의 시스템에 들어가는 비용은 그 돈의 창출에 이미 녹아 들어가 있는 것입니다.)  \n\n두번째는 정보의 측면입니다.\n\n현대에 있어서 정보는 그 자체로 돈이 되는 경우가 많습니다. \n개인 정보를 사고 파는 경우는 흔한 일입니다\n이익이 되는 유용한 정보도 그 자체가 돈이 됩니다.\n흔히 주가에 영향을 주는 증권 찌라시가 그런 것이겠지요.\n정보란 그런 것입니다.\n\n비트코인 암호화폐 시스템은 \n그 자체가 정보의 집합체입니다.\n거래내역을 모두 보관하고 있는 \n지속적으로 유지하고 관리할 필요가 있고\n그렇게 해야만 하는 정보의 집합체인 것이지요.\n\n예컨데 부동산 거래소 정보를 모두 담고 있는\n부동산 등기소의 등기기록을 생각해 봅시다.\n우리는 이를 통해 실제 부동산의 소유주가 누구이고\n그 부동산에 어떤 권리관계가 엮여 있는지 알게 됩니다.\n이를 통해 거래 상대방이 진실한 거래를 하고 있는지\n또 그 부동산의 가치변동이 어떻게 되어 왔는지 등의\n다양한 내용을 알 수 있고 \n그를 통해 재산상의 불이익을 피하거나 \n실질적인 이득을 취할 수 있는 것이지요\n\n거래의 안정성은 기본이고 그것을 넘어서\n정보 그 자체가 매우 중요한 가치가 되는 것입니다. \n그렇기 때문에 국가는 많은 비용을 들여서\n등기소를 운영하는 것이겠지요 \n(이것은 앞서 얘기한 비용의 측면인 것입니다) \n비트코인 또한 마찬가지입니다.\n거래의 안정성과 한몸인 거래내역 정보의 집합\n그 자체만으로 가치를 지니게 되는 것입니다.\n\n\n결론적으로 말하고 싶은 것은 \n비트코인의 내재가치는 절대 0이 아니라는 것입니다.\n\n그런 시각은 비트코인이 단지 숫자에 불과하며 블록체인 기술로 얼마든지 새로운 코인을 쉽게 발행할 수 있기에 마치 무한정 만들어낼 수 있는 게임상의 사이버머니와 같은 것으로 생각하는, 암호화폐 체계에 대한 몰이해에서 비롯되었다고 생각합니다. \n\n\n잠시 다른 시각에서 바라봅시다.\n\n저작권의 내재 가치는 0이다\n라고 주장을 한다면 어떻습니까..?\n\n거기에 들어간 창작자의 노고를 생각한다면\n상식적으로 내재가치가 0이 될 수는 없습니다만\n그 가치가 금전적인 보상을 받는 것을 기준으로\n판단해 본다면 어떻습니까.\n\n저작권이 이미 오래 전부터 발달해 온 서구권에서 너무나 당연하게 여겨지는 저작권이지만 \n우리나라에서도 그 권리가 본격적으로 보장받기 시작한 것은 고작 30년 정도밖에 되지 않았습니다.\n중국의 경우는 아직도 그 권리가 제대로 보호되지 못 하고 있습니다.\n\n금전적으로 보상받지 못 하는 가치\n그것의 내재적 가치는 과연 얼마일까요..?\n마구 혼란이 옵니다.\n\n이것은 내재 가치라는 말의 모호성에서 비롯된 것입니다.\n경제학에서 용어를 확실하게 구분해서 사용하고 있습니다.\n어떤 재화나 서비스의 쓸모 그 자체는 “효용가치”라고 부르고 그것이 실제로 교환될 때의 가격은 “교환가치”라고 부르는 것이지요.\n\n교환가치(가격)가 효용가치(쓸모)에 비례하지 않는 경우는 무수히 많습니다. 한마디로 매우 유용하지만 돈을 주고 사고 팔지 않는 경우이거나 그다지 쓸모가 많지 않은데도 매우 비싼 것들이 그것입니다.\n공기나 물과 같은 것들은 매우 유용함에도 교환가치가 높지 않습니다. 세상에 널려 있기 때문이죠.\n반면에 유명한 화가의 미술작품 같은 것은 그 효용에 비해 너무나 높은 가격에 팔리곤 합니다.\n이런 현상을 설명하기 위한 이론이 수요와 공급에 따라 가격이 결정되는 수요 공급의 법칙인 것이지요.\n\n다시 저작권의 내재적 가치 문제로 돌아가 봅시다.\n새로운 창작물이 사람들에게 주는 즐거움이나 유용함을 생각해 볼 때 그 효용가치는 매우 높습니다.\n하지만 그 교환가치는 애초부터 있었던 것이 아니라 오랜 시간을 거쳐 필요에 의해 만들어지고 보호되어 유지된 것이지요.\n이 두가지를 확실히 분리해서 봐야 하는데 내재 가치라는 말로 뭉뚱그려 얘기하면 서로 간에 혼선이 빚어집니다.\n어제 JTBC의 토론을 보면서 토론자 간의 그런 혼선을 좀 많이 느꼈더랬습니다. \n\n더군다나 교환가치라고 하는 것은\n개인의 거래의 자유의 영역에 있는 것으로\n어느 특정인이 지정하거나 강제할 수 있는 게 아닙니다.\n국가가 모든 재화의 가격을 정해 주는 것이 가능할까요?\n어떤 사람에게는 전혀 가치가 없는 게임 아이템이\n또 다른 누군가에게는 1000만원이라는 거금을 주고도 사고 싶은 물건일 수 있습니다.
