      "body": "The Syrian government under Assad is getting ready for perhaps the final offensive against the Al-Qaeda styled militants in the south of that country. The rebels have been pushed way out from the Damascus suburbs, and the only area they have left is the region of Daraa. \n\nSyria has for the most part been partitioned apart, with Turkish/jihadist FSA in the North, Kurdish/American forces to the north-east, and Assad’s regime at the core. The vanquished southern FSA/ISIS/al-Qaeda (or whatever they go by these days) is at the border with Israel and Jordan. \n\nIsrael is very upset at an offensive so close to the contested Golan region in their north. This area has been the place of significant air-strikes against Syrian forces in the past. Israel accuses Iran of being involved in Assad’s offensive, and the Israelis have been waging an air-war against Iran and Syria’s Assad. While he claims that some limited exceptions will be made regarding the ban, it is not yet clear what that means for the currently serving transgendered members of the Armed Forces. At best, they will be allowed to stay in, but the ban will almost certainly hold their military careers back one way or another. \n\nTrump had initially expressed positive opinions towards the transgender community before his presidential run went into full gear. However, he quickly changed his tone once he gained traction with the Neo-Cons, and it wasn’t long after courting fundamentalists in 2016, that Trump chose Mike Pence (a known homophobe) as his running mate. \n\nThe ban reverses the previous policy set in place by past Secretary of Defense Ash Carter, which called for allowing transgenders to openly serve. President Trump at first called for an expulsion of all military personnel who are transgender, but he has somewhat doubled back a little after running into some Constitutional Law issues on this subject (nothing new for him). \n\nSo what will be the career fate for the transgendered military service members who are currently in?       "body": "In the year 2010, Toledo, OH (a somewhat small city) was estimated to be the per capita worst city in the United States when it comes to human trafficking; with just Miami, Portland, and Las Vegas having higher incidents per year of arrests for traffickers, and rescues of trafficking victims. \n\nThe reason for Toledo, OH being the epicenter of human trafficking is most likely due to the positioning of Ohio among the interstate routes and its place next to the Canadian border.       "body": "Is it really a coincidence that the heroin addiction in the US seems to coincide with the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan?\nThe Afghan War stands as America's longest war, and there does not seem to be any end game or plan for \"winning' anything. The Taliban only seems to get stronger, and now other groups such as ISIS are also apparently setting up shop there. \nWhat's worse is that opium production and heroin labs are a booming business in Afghanistan, with the jihadist groups making huge money on the trade. The Taliban government had been considered an \"ally\" of the US government, and that same Taliban had outlawed opium because they considered it to be \"forbidden.\" But you see, that was before the Taliban needed any funds they could get in order to fight the US Coalition. Now the Taliban and other terror groups work with opium growers and heroin producers, because they need a cut of the profits in order to fund their insurgency against our troops who are sent there. \nOpium production in Afghanistan went up over sixty-percent from 2016 through 2017. It seems that the US Coalition's stated mission of rubbing out opium production in Afghanistan has become an Epic Fail! (Much like just about anything the Bush Administration ever attempted). \nMeanwhile, opioid addiction and deaths are worse than any other time in modern American history. The amount of Americans who have died from opioid overdoses has more than doubled over the past decade. \nWhile the government insists that the War in Afghanistan is Goin' Good, it seems that the Taliban has survived and been thriving on the drug trade, which it uses to fund attacks on out kids who the government sends over there, in order to fight a war without a clear strategy (other than war profiteering). Hillary joked of his gruesome killing by saying in an interview, “We came, We saw, HE DIED!” (So funny, I forgot to laugh). \nWhen North Korea heard about Pence saying that the DPRK under Kim would be overthrown like Gaddafi, they simply stated that Pence’s comment was stupid. Many Americans would probably agree. Now President Trump said that North Korea’s comment was too much for him to hear, and the historic peace talks with Kim are off. This coming from the person who has been threatening to nuke North Korea in front of world leaders on live television. Is that fair? \n\nIf you were Kim and the North Korean leadership, what lessons would you take away from the overthrow of Gaddafi: to give up your WDM program and trust that you will be treated with mercy? Or keep yourself armed?
