A yearago passwords, Personal Identification Numbers (4-digit PIN numbers) or identification cards are used for personal identification. However, cards can be stolen, and passwords and numbers can be guessed or forgotten. To solve these problems, biometric authentication technology was introduce.\n <h1> 3. PALM VEINS TECHNOLGY<h1>\nPalm  vein technologies are one of the best authentication technology which is highy secure.\nIt is the world’s  first contactless personal identification system that uses the vein patterns in human palms to confirm a person’s identity.\nIt may highly secure and accurate.\n![2-Figure1-1.png](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmQ1YPP2ULDZcFAQ7qML2e8pQ2CaJNqdUU4jsz369YuUiJ/2-Figure1-1.png)\n:In this technology ONE’S PALM  is used as the “PASSWORD” for verification.\nThe veins present in the palm of the individual are scanned & verified  thus providing the access.\nPalm vein authentication is one of the vascular pattern authentication technologies.\nFirst the individual places his PALM on the sensor, thus the sensor takes the “PALM VEIN IMAGE” and compares it with the pre-registered one with the help of INFRA RED RAYS.\nIf there is a match then access is allowed, if not access is denied. \nThis system is not at all  dangerous. A near infrared ray  is a component of sunlight, whose effect is much less than walking in sunlight. \n\n<h1>**2.
