      "body": "Clean Master es la aplicación de limpieza y mantenimiento más conocida en Android, situada a las puertas de entrar en el selectivo club de los mil millones de descargas. La fama es merecida, es una aplicación muy completa, aunque hay que reconocer que sus detractores tienen motivos para desconfiar: abusa con frecuencia de la explotación del miedo y los datos que son verdades a medias o directamente son mentira.\n\nEn este artículo he recogido seis ocasiones en las que Clean Master te miente sin pestañear, o al menos no te dice toda la verdad y nada más que la verdad. Esto no quiere decir que la aplicación sea mala por sí, sino que debes andarte con ojo antes de creer todo lo que te muestra en pantalla.\n\n1. La cantidad de memoria que limpia\n\nCleanmaster1\nUno de los métodos más usados por las aplicaciones de mantenimiento para captar la atención es resaltar lo mal que estaba nuestro dispositivo sin su ayuda. Es lo mismo que hace el antivirus al hacer un análisis la primera vez que lo instalas y encontrar mil cosas que en verdad son falsos positivos y cookies, y en el caso de Clean Master esto viene representado por la cantidad de memoria que te ha liberado.\n\nEsta cifra aparece antes y después de hacer la limpieza de \"basura\", la función principal de Clean Master y que es cuanto menos engañosa por dos motivos. Primero, gran parte de la misma es caché del sistema, que se regenerará según vas abriendo aplicaciones. Segundo, se incluye la memoria RAM del sistema (en el apartado Optimizador de memoria).\n\nLa memoria RAM y la memoria de almacenamiento son dos cosas totalmente distintas, pero Clean Master las mete en el mismo saco para lograr aumentar la cifra. Así, por mucho que uses su limpiador, siempre queda algo por limpiar. De este modo se garantiza que tengas la sensación de que necesitas usarlo con frecuencia y básicamente no puedes vivir sin él. Al fin y al cabo, cada vez que lo abres tienes un montón de cosas por limpiar.\n\n2. La temperatura de la CPU\n\nTemperatura\nTemperatura en Clean Master vs la temperatura real\nClean Master empezó como el CCleaner de Android (que, por cierto, llegaría más tarde pero ya le habían comido todo el terreno), pero después añadió todo tipo de funciones extra de limpieza. No podía faltar la limpieza de la memoria, que por algún motivo incluye también un aviso de que tu dispositivo está sobrecalentado.\n\nEl problema aquí es que la cifra es inventada o por lo menos inconsistente con los datos arrojados por otras aplicaciones. Se trata de una especie de metáfora de cómo tener muchas aplicaciones abiertas a la vez puede sobrecalentar el dispositivo. El problema con las metáforas es que deberían ser algo más separadas de la realidad para no confundirse, y este no es el caso.\n\nEl resultado es simplemente engañoso, y no solo porque diga que tu CPU está a cierta temperatura, que probablemente te da lo mismo, sino porque te hace creer que pulsando un botón que cierra dos o tres aplicaciones la temperatura baja 2 grados de repente. Ojalá fuera tan fácil, y tan rápido.\n\n3. Las aplicaciones que \"consumen mucha batería\"\n\nConsumo\nNada más instalar Clean Master por primera vez, una notificación te avisa de que tienes cierta cantidad de aplicaciones abiertas que consumen mucha batería: en mi caso, nada menos que 27. Es algo complicado saber de dónde sale esta lista, pues ni siquiera le he concedido permiso para que pueda ver el uso de las aplicaciones ni ha tenido tiempo para recopilar información.\n\nEn su lugar, parecen simplemente las aplicaciones que se han usado recientemente, y que no por ello están consumiendo una cantidad excesiva de batería. De hecho, si el móvil tiene Doze, Smart Manager, Greenify o similares, lo más seguro es que se pongan a hibernar por sí mismas y no tengan una repercusión mayor en el rendimiento. En mi caso, ninguna de estas aplicaciones coincidía con las que presentaban un mayor uso de batería en la información del sistema.\n\nLa cifra de cuánto se extenderá tu batería es otra fantasía. Por hibernar una selección aleatoria de aplicaciones puedes ganar desde 4 horas más de autonomía hasta más de ocho. Ojalá fuera cierto, pero no, no lo es. Lo único que hace esta función es cerrar las aplicaciones \"manualmente\" en segundo plano.\n\n4. Los \"problemas\" por todas partes\n\nProblemas\nMientras navegas por la gran cantidad de subapartados de Clean Master, te encontrarás con problemas con frecuencia. El uso de la palabra no es casual, sino pensado para captar tu atención. A tu móvil le pasa algo muy malo, pero por suerte Clean Master lo puede solucionar, generalmente pulsando un botón.\n\nCM App Lock es una función de seguridad adicional disponible en Clean Master (y como aplicación separada) que protege las aplicaciones que escojas con un PIN de seguridad adicional. La idea no está mal, y quizá te interese, pero el hecho de que no la uses no quiere decir que sea un problema de seguridad, tal como afirma.\n\nOtro apartado afirma que tu conexión Wi-Fi es peligrosa. Según palabras textuales \"estas aplicaciones podrían ser pirateadas en redes vulnerables\", y la única solución es instalar CM Security. La explicación por si misma no tiene mucho sentido: ¿es mi WiFi el peligroso, las conexiones WiFi sin cifrado o las aplicaciones? Es cierto que usar WiFi públicas es un peligro, pero este aviso simplemente no tiene mucho sentido, y más aun cuando estoy ahora mismo usando la conexión en mi casa, y cifrada.\n\n5. Los porcentajes\n\nCleanmaster3\nSegún los últimos estudios, más del 86% de los estudios y porcentajes en Internet son falsos. Vale, me lo he inventado, y Clean Master hace más o menos lo mismo. La CPU se está rezagando un 32%, acabas de optimizar tu dispositivo un 19,1% y si le otorgas permiso optimizará tu dispositivo un 20% más.\n\nEl problema con estos porcentajes es que realmente no significan nada, ya que no están basados en datos reales y verificables. La CPU no se puede rezagar un 32% a no ser que tengas una medida base sobre la que calcular ese porcentaje, y tu dispositivo no se puede optimizar un 20% más porque \"optimizar\" no es un verbo cuantificable de por sí: no puedes optimizar siete u optimizar setenta y dos. Otra cosa es que dijera que la batería duraría un 20% más de tiempo, en cuyo caso sí podríamos comparar y verificar por nosotros mismos si es verdad o no.\n\n6. Las notificaciones basura\n\nNotificacionesbasura\nUna de las últimas novedades de Clean Master es la limpieza de notificaciones basura. En el texto explicativo se informa de que tu dispositivo está funcionando más lento ya que está lleno de notificaciones basura. No temas, Clean Master puede solucionarlo una vez le concedas un permiso más: el de acceso a las notificaciones.\n\nAunque es cierto que las notificaciones pueden ser un problema en Android, asegurar que vuelven tu móvil más lento es aventurarse demasiado. Recibir muchas notificaciones significa que muchas aplicaciones están funcionando en segundo plano, lo cual efectivamente vuelve tu móvil más lento, pero la notificación no es la causa, sino el síntoma. En cualquier caso, puedes gestionar y prohibir notificaciones directamente desde Android, sin ninguna aplicación adicional.\n\nEl uso de la palabra \"basura\" en notificaciones basura es casi subliminal: si es basura, debes limpiarla, y si debes limpiarla, ¿qué mejor que Clean Master?\n\n7. Los permisos\n\nRetorica\nClean Master usa una y otra vez retórica complicada para lograr acaparar la mayor cantidad de permisos, muchos de los cuales no son para nada necesarios para su función de limpieza. Pide permisos para usar la cámara, acceder a los contactos, ubicación, teléfono, almacenamiento, mostrarse encima de otras aplicaciones, leer las notificaciones, cambiar configuraciones del sistema y ser un servicio de accesibilidad. Si existe el permiso, lo tiene.\n\nEn muchas ocasiones la justificación para dicho permiso es ambigua. Por ejemplo, en la captura de pantalla anterior pide permiso de accesibilidad para \"limpiar más cosas\", si bien más tarde se detalla que el permiso sirve para monitorizar y ver lo que haces. No, gracias.\n\nEn el fondo, todas estas mentiras quedan resumidas en este párrafo extraído de los términos de servicio de Clean Master, accesible desde el menú de la aplicación:\n\nNo podemos garantizar y no prometemos ningunos resultados específicos del uso de este servicio.
