She was crowned by the reigning Miss Universe herself Iris Mittenaere from France. Husain is not new in pageantry, She competed for Miss World Guyana 2014 where she was able to take home the crown, and become part of the Top 11 at Miss World since its last placement on 1971. And was awarded as the Queen of the Caribbean 2014. Husain also competed on the last years edition of Miss Universe Guyana where in she end up as a runner up.       "body": "A 25 yr. old Rafieya Husain was crowned as the new Miss Universe Guyana last August 19, 2017 which was held in New York for the first time, she bested among 13 candidates who are also vying for the said title, she bagged out Miss Elegance, Miss Popularity and Best Interview awards. She was crowned by the reigning Miss Universe herself Iris Mittenaere from France. Husain is not new in pageantry, She competed for Miss World Guyana 2014 where she was able to take home the crown, and become part of the Top 11 at Miss World since its last placement on 1971. And was awarded as the Queen of the Caribbean 2014. Husain also competed on the last years edition of Miss Universe Guyana where in she end up as a runner up.
