Be warned, take it from me, do not lean back and give it your all unless you have a towel in your handbag.</p>\n<p>The simple task of trying to wash your hands can be exasperating especially when you are meant to be rushing off to board a plane.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>How to turn taps on or off can become a complete anxiety filled mission.</p>\n<p>Everything is so high tech these days and more often than not I have had to assist an elderly person completely befuddled in a modern bathroom.</p>\n<p>A &nbsp;gentleman in a lovely suit bent down to drink water out of a tap not so long ago and the automated soap dispenser above his head squirted a dollop of foam onto his hair. He rubbed his head wondering what it was and the combination of water on his hands and the soap on his hair caused a huge soapy foamy lather.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Planes to catch and places to go and gents in business suits washing &nbsp;hair in public toilets. Tut, tut, whatever next?</p>\n<p>Oh for the simple things in life. Sigh...</p>\n<p><br></p>\n</html>",

I am so interested in what's going on in other people's lives I really can't say why. I like to know what they eat, what they talk about, who they entertain, what they argue about, what their children are up to and how well they are doing. I evesdrop where ever and whenever I can. I walk when it's dark so I can peak into people's homes ( the silly ones who haven't drawn their curtains) &nbsp;I look in to see what furniture they have chosen, what they're doing, how they've decorated their &nbsp;Christmas trees; I hate to admit it but I think I'm sick and rather sad.</p>\n<p>The neighbor on the left of my home is a photographer. A very nice good looking young man who I always smile at when I'm putting the rubbish out on a Thursday evening. I have a secret crush on him. If only I were years younger.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>John has a lot of young friends coming and going and he's vegan. I know this from looking in his dustbin once when he was at work. Sorry 😳&nbsp;</p>\n<p>John has never really paid much attention or spoken to me <em>until</em> last Monday. The most dreadful, horrible, embarrassing day of my life.</p>\n<p>There was a knock at the door. \"Oh good, my parcel from Amazon.\" I thought. I opened the door. I was wrong. It was John from next door. He smiled slyly and handed me a card. With that he said,\"sorry can't stay and talk must dash\".. How strange and intriguing &nbsp;I thought.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>I ripped open the envelope and recognized at once the two old busy bodies on the card. My body blushed, my face flushed, the complete and utter shame that washed over me.</p>\n<p>The card was a photograph &nbsp;of my partner Freddie and me spying and evesdropping on our neighbors who live on the right of us. I'm sure we all have at sometime in our lives through immense frustration, anger and when we suffer sudden acute pain like the unfortunate gentleman in the postcard above.</p>\n<p>But boy oh boy don't people just milk swearing these days? F... this and F... that. It just sounds so gruff and aggressive and I think it just nestles down eventually into ones speech and forms an ugly habit.</p>\n<p>Because my 23 year old son knows it gets up my nose he started joking by adding swear words to his sentences to tease me.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;I swear it's got a hold of him now as he seems to swear an awful lot. I have threatened to wash his mouth out with chilli soap. (If there is such a thing .. ouch.)</p>\n<p>Is swearing a modern thing? What is the history of swearing? It got me thinking, searching and reading.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;I was amazed &nbsp;to discover swearing has been part of language since ancient times. Rude, derogatory language has been used by humans for centuries.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Do yourselves a favor this weekend and Google the history of swearing. Fascinating.</p>\n<p>Anyway that doesn't make it OK. The Bible has such excellent laws for us all to live by and this is what it says.</p>\n<p>Ephesians 4:29New International Version (NIV)</p>\n<p>29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.</p>\n<p>So there you are then.... What a treat for sore eyes. The scent is absolutEly gorgeous too. There are still so many buds to open so exciting.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Now these are my Orchids. I got these about two years ago. For ages they had not a blossom so I was debating whether to throw them out. That made me feel sad so I continued to water them once a week. They don't like a lot of watering and I put them in a bright spot in my lounge. On the 5th June a blossom popped forth and another and another and now look! Amazing!
