Sin embargo eso no basta para hacer a la linterna casi un 50% más brillante que si tuviera una superficie plana. \n\n¿Podría este principio aumentar la eficiencia de las luces led, que se emplean en dispositivos  electrónicos?  Para averiguarlo, los científicos cubrieron un conjunto de luces led con una superficie ondulada similar a la de la linterna de la luciérnaga. ¿Con qué resultado? las luces brillaron hasta un 55% más. La física Annick  Bay dice: \"El aspecto más importante de este trabajo es que muestra lo mucho que podemos aprender observando cuidadosamente la naturaleza\" .\n Las luciérnagas tienen esa luz debido a una reacción química que ocurre cuando el oxígeno se mezcla con un componente llamado luciferina, una enzima llamada luciferasa y un químico llamado adenosin trifosfato. Para que todo esto cree la luz hacen falta también cristales de ácido úrico que están en las células y hacen que la luz de la luciérnaga puede verse por fuera de su cuerpo.\n\nEs indiscutible al observa la naturaleza vemos lo fascinante que puede ser nuestro universo y lo mucho que podemos aprender de él. <3",
