Now, what is God's Word concerning the works of the flesh?\n\nGalatians 5:16 says that if we walk in the spirit, we will not gratify the desires of the flesh.\n\nTo walk in the Spirit means to be responsive to the guidance of the recreated human spirit.\n\nThe moment a person becomes born again, there is an automatic conflict between his godless human nature (flesh) and his recreated human spirit (Galatians 5:17).\n\nThis antagonism between his flesh and spirit continues to prevent him from doing what he wishes to do until he gains the mastery over his body.\n\nSadly, not so many Christians have gained the mastery over their body or learn to put it in subjection to the authority of their recreated human spirit.\n\nThat is why many Christians still shuttle between living in the spirit and living in the flesh. It is a  constant struggle for many.\n\n1 Corinthians 9:27 says, \"But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection...\" What does this mean? \n\nIt means to strike a blow to the body and make it your slave. How's this done? \n\nIt means to strike the body like a boxer, handle it roughly, discipline it by hardships and then subdue it.\n\nPractically, this means to deny your body the pleasure it expresses a desire for even when it is intense and compelling.\n\nColossians 3:5 says to us to put to death everything that belongs to our earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.\n\nHow's this done?\n\nTo put to death means to deprive of power. God is simply instructing us to deprive of power those evil desires and earthly impulses that are employed in sin. \n\nThe tool for deadening lust, lasciviousness, fornication, or adultery is to make a practice of acting on God’s Word everytime.\n\nRefuse to yield your body to the sexual cravings lurking in it.\n\nThanks for reading!",

We've each been going out to different rooms to beg for common pure water. While others are actually a revival of the energy of the goddess of ancient Greek mythology.\n\nSome of their discussions are presented as motivational pieces that are intended to help you unlock your mental power, control situations and activate the embodiment of your feminity.\n\nBut the truth is, the pursuits are for esoteric purposes. The spirit behind those operations and the intention of those who anchors them are purely to reconfigure you into an independent being outside God.\n\nSo in one swoop, the idea is to birth in you atheism and the same degree of rebellion that was found in Lucifer, apostatize your mind and then give you the impression that you are now a female god.\n\nThat's a way of migrating you into sorcery through the side door. Some now practice mind control, live in the concert of their mind without God, and then recite some mental anecdotes.\n\nYou see, the Holy Spirit is the only window access to the supernatural for Christians. Any other access outside the Holy Spirit is sorcery. \n\nIn ancient Greek mythology, sorcery was prevalent in arts, books and knowledge. The people accessed the supernatural with a fourth eye.\n\nIn Acts 19:19, a number of people who were practicing sorcery, after they received the Gospel, brought their incantation books and burned them at a public bonfire. \n\nThe value of the books was several million dollars. That's what the scripture says.\n\nSorcery was very popular because it was the quickest access to the supernatural before the advent of the Holy Spirit. Most Grecians were enmeshed in it.\n\nTo the extent, in Acts 8:18, a sorcerer who had just received Christ still offered Paul money to receive the Holy Spirit so he could exhibit the supernatural like Paul.\n\nBeing single, heartbroken, divorced, or emotionally distraught shouldn't make you seek relief from every available source. Get comfort from God's Word.\n\nMost of these girls who are into this feminine energy programme or goddess programme are 'ogbanje.'\n\nMost of them were the ogbanjes we know in our secondary school days. Since social media now offers them the unique opportunity to showcase themselves, they've suddenly transformed into mystic healers just to rip off unsuspecting ladies. \n\nThey are empty but are using your own vulnerability to enhance their economic power and flaunt a life of wealth and affluence as the peak of what you should aspire to.\n\nA Christian has the Holy Spirit as the source of his inspiration, window access to the supernatural, and as the comfort of his heart. You don't live on your own to recite some mental anecdotes that are not part of the Scripture.\n\nWe saw in Lucifer that after he became independent of God in thought, he said he'd be like the Almighty God. Once you are elevated to the thinking that equates you with God, you start doubting the supremacy of God and his existence.\n\nSome of you then will start doubting the scripture, become unruly and rude. People find love where they see money. No, it shouldn't be.\n\nLove is selfless. It does not see interests and personal gains.\n\nCheck the ladies who are no longer interested in their marriage; often, it is because they are not getting what they thought was there for them.\n\nSelfishness!\n\nAm I saying that you should marry a poor man?       "body": "![FB_IMG_1656142946161.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/princesstj/23vi5wQUWjP1sdJumaYFwu6HrHMoabN2f7xMaaiDZBvwbiY9q1nDDQAPsbanpj2QNnQUG.jpg)\n\n\nYesterday I watched a movie where two sisters were told that they wouldn't live above 30years because of some generational illness.\n\nAnd as a result of this, they turned to living a reckless life because in their words \"they only have one life to live\" and they'd be dead in a couple of months/years.\n\nIn the end, the discovered the whole generational thing was a lie and they ended up regretting every single action.\n\n****\n\nNow that aside, I was meditating this morning and the movie crossed my mind again.\n\nWhy?\n\nBecause of the nature of their to do list, knowing that the had a few more months left to live.\n\nIt was a good moral lesson but it revealed the kind of mindsets people have.\n\nI mean if I found out I was going to die in 6 months, don't you think it's possible to do in 6 months what I couldn't do in almost  5 years?\n\nYes, it very possible.\n\nBut this set of sisters actually went in the opposite direction, they \"lived\" their best live and it ended in regrets.\n\nThat being settled, I'm curious to know why people tend to live their best lives when they are almost close to death? Knowing so well that every passing day we have the ability to live our best lives.\n\nI was also wondering why I could do in 6 months what I haven't done in almost five years? Do you see the problem now?\n\nThe problem is YOU and I and our spirit of procrastination, that tiny voice that tells us to live carelessly and with no purpose because we have a long life ahead of us.\n\nI'd even say we are not so serious with our lives and the kind of results we get. Most of us are merely surviving and not living.\n\nWhy would you need to be close to your deathbed before you do everything you've always wanted to do?\n\nI know Robin Sharma said we should carry the deathbed mentality \"living everyday like it's your last.\" He was right because he has studied us for a very long time and he knows that almost everyone tends to do things when we have an ultimatum/ deadline.\n\nIs this good? It depends on the angle you're viewing it from.\n\nAm I confused? That depends on your understanding.\n\nI'll summarize this by saying this \" just imagine we all had till December to live, would you sulk and be depressed over the kind of live you have lived or would you make things right?\"\n\nWould you make plans to Dorime and Shayo or would you work towards living a life of impact?\n\nThe answer depends on your mindset.\n\nWould you live like those sisters lived or would make your world and the society around you remember you even after you have passed?\n\nThis now begs the question, would you give yourself 6 months? Just pretend you have just six more months to live?\n\nThis 6 months would be excuse free, lack of funds would not be an excuse, lack of time would not be an excuse. You'd do everything within and outside your comfort zone to leave positive footprints.\n\nYou'd realize there's an untapped part of your brain, creativity, ideas, kindness etc that you haven't tapped yet.\n\nAnd all of them will happen in 6 months. You'd realize you've done more than what you did in 5 years.\n\nWhy?\n\nBecause you underestimated yourself the whole time.\n\nAnd if at all you're serious with this personal 6 months challenge, in the end, it will be an eye opener to you.\n\nWill these stressful? Oh yes\n\nWill it cause you to use your head and THINK?  Oh yes\n\nWill it stir up something in you? Yes\n\nWill it leave you the same? Of course not.\n\nBut it might be one of the best decisions you'll make in your life.\n\n6 MONTHS CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE.\n\n Do not wait for me to point out the area of your life that needs this \"imaginery 6 months death date\" it's your life and you know what to do.\n\nMeanwhile, I no dey die in 6 months. Why?\n\n\nBecause they think so, which is really laughable.\nThis morning as I was doing the dishes, and the wright brothers crossed my mind. To be honest, I was really wondering about what they were thinking when they shared their ideas of building an aircraft (if you do not know them, kindly look them up) and how the were able to block out both the \"popular and unpopular\" opinions till it happened❤️\n\n\nIt was because they were able to filter the things they heard and the actions they got. They knew the ones to take personal and how to dispose the ones from the \"short sighted\" people. Pheew!!!\n\n\nI constantly tell the people who care to listen, that they will not be world shakers listening to what everyone has to say...No, you will not. And  if you've been doing so, you're probably in a hamster trap (check out my last post).\nBut if you've guilty of listening to Tom, dick and Harry \"all joined together\". This what you need:\n\n\nYou need to train your mind to filter out things, all the junk (opinions in disguise)you have and the ones that are on their way. You need to know the ones to take personal and the ones you should just laugh off.\n\n\nWithout this filter, you and depression will be roommates, because by the time you begin to use and listen to everything out there, I mean all the  dashed out opinions, you will begin to limit yourself or probably give up. And giving up means you've accepted to kiss your dreams, ideas and visions good bye.\n\n\nPlease!!!\nBlock out rubbish and chase those dreams. If they think you're prolly wasting your time chasing certain things, e concern them...Do not let the negative words, mindset and energy get to you.\n\nDust them off and stand strong. Constantly develop yourself (or did you think I'd skip this one?) Because it's in the place of constant upgrade that you'll hit your goals faster.\n\nLastly, keep dreaming 🥰 and do not forget to guard your mind, your eyes, your ears, your tongue and your fingers. Make sure the filters are always turned on, control, the things you let get to you, the things you think of, the things you see, the things you hear, the things you say and the things you TYPE.",

She's adamant about changing her maiden name. For my friend, anyone who is interested in a relationship with her gets to answer the question, unknowingly or knowingly. Sometimes she will ask the unassuming guy in such a flippant manner like it's not a big deal to her. In the middle of a casual conversation, she will throw it in, \"what do you think about a wife changing her maiden name to her husband's family name?\". \n\n\nSome guys will start frothing about how they can never marry a woman who wants to keep her name. \nAnd that is always the last date with them for my friend.\n\n\nSo, while talking with her that day, one of my major concerns was about how tasking the processes of going around different places to effect the change were but she said, \"Joy, going around different places to change names on documentation is not even my concern. I have bigger fishes to fry\".\n\n\n I then asked her what the problem was and she mentioned that she has bought several plots of land in her maiden name and so, she wasn't ready to go and start changing the name on the documents.\n\n \nSomehow, we started talking about lands and investments, that we forget about name-changing. According to my friend, \" there are better things to talk about in life, such as this new estate currently selling in Uyo. It's the next big thing and I want to get five plots of land in that estate. In five years, I will get triple of the money I used to buy the property\".
