      "body": "I was thinking quite a long time about this blog post and somehow, I delayed writing it, for quite a long time.  It is true that I had also been pretty busy all the time, but that can be no excuse, because come on, it does not take the whole day just to write the blog post. Well now I’m finally writing it and I hope that at least some people will read it to the end.\n\nAbout three months ago I decided to expand my LinkedIn network https://www.linkedin.com/in/primoz-obolnar/. I must say that I have been quite successful and that now I’m already over 6.300 connections. Which is a lot, since a few months ago I had about 300 of them. Why I decided to do that? Well let’s say that I realized that I’m too old to just have Facebook profile and share funny videos there. Somehow there is no real benefit in that, I hope that we agree on that. \nSo, I decided to expand my professional network, mainly because…well you never know when having a lot of connections will benefit you and also because I think, or at least hope, that from time to time I have something at least somewhat helpful or interesting to share there. \n\n![businessman-3213659_1920.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmedMnfipmZa72XVAM64mB9z8FK2RrDad6jnXggBqRKHA1/businessman-3213659_1920.jpg)\n\nSince my two main points of interest are health and safety at work (might have to do something with that I’m health and safety engineer) and cryptocurrencies, I have been mostly (but not only) connecting with people from that area of expertise. And while I had absolutely no weird offers, suggestions or whatsoever from people dealing with health and safety, I had quite a few from various people dealing with cryptocurrency. So further down, I will say a few more words about that.\n\nIf any of you who are reading this is active in crypto trading or part of the crypto world in any other way, you probably know that at the end of the last year, we had seen a pretty big increase in value and popularity of crypto. Everybody wanted to get rich and they wanted to do it fast. Even mainstream media had been writing about cryptocurrencies a lot. And then suddenly, at the beginning of this year prices started to crash. Little before that, I remember reading articles in various media, about people who even sold their homes to buy Bitcoin. Well for their sake, I hope that they did sell it, before dramatic price fall, otherwise…well let’s just say that I would not want to be in their skin. \nJust for comparison, price of Bitcoin on 18th of December 2017 was about 19.000 USD and the price started to drop then. It had another peak at around 17.000 USD in the beginning of January 2019 and then fall rapidly to just around 7.000 USD on February 5th. Now it is stable at around 6.500 USD. \nBut that is just Bitcoin, altcoin suffered even worse, many of them now being worth ten or twenty times less that at the end of last year.\n\n![save-3402476_1920.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmZQSA55wjyFdKmKKa7vXNfaqWWvVt7NnEGMRgSdKy3cA6/save-3402476_1920.jpg)\n\nWhy I’m telling you this and what it has to do with my LinkedIn? Well before we get to that, I must clarify, that I do NOT think that crypto is crap and that it will just disappear. Let’s be clear that I still think that the cryptocurrencies are the future, but it is still young technology and clearly needs to mature. \n\nAnd now to the point of the story. As you can probably guess from that big price fall, a lot of people who wanted to get rich overnight lost quite a nice amount of money. Some less and some more. Of course, the consequence of that was that word spread fast and trust in crypto in general fall off the cliff. It did not help that some teams just pumped their coins with misleading public posts and they sold their coins at the top, made quite a lot of money and then dumped the coin. Now imagine what holding a few coins like that would do to your trust to crypto in general. \nSo, while I was (and I still am) building my professional network quite a few people sent me messages requesting that I either promote their coin, open an account on Malta, sell them Bitcoin, send them ETH in exchange for even more ETH, to join the paid group which will then in return give me signals when some coin will pump etc. And there were also tons of weird profiles where one could clearly see that profile pictures were fake, some even “borrowed” pictures of the movie stars. Very original, I must say. \nWhat I’m trying to say is that there is still a lot of people out there who see crypto as an opportunity to scam other people. And that does crypto in general no favor. If it is sent to you from profile of some amazingly beautiful lady it is also big chance that behind profile of that lady is some not-so beautiful guy. Guys with profile picture with some sports car and sunglasses? Also, a bad sign. \nConsidering all that, one must still be very cautious who to trust, and as I have been saying for a long time now, ALWAYS do your own research before investing or trusting some strangers with pretty promises. Do not hurry, you will not miss out anything, when one door closes, another one opens. Actually, emotions like FOMO (fear of missing out) can be really dangerous in crypto, as some of you probably already experienced.\n\nAs I said earlier, even with some scams which did happen I still believe that crypto in general is here to stay and will see further growth in the future. It may undergo some regulations, which many are fearing, because they might hinder development and adoption, but if will be done in a proper way, to protect investors then it can only be beneficial for all. The technology is still young and has to mature, but I see great perspective in it.\n\nAlso it does not mean that I would definitely not help with promoting with the coin or any other product, but I firmly believe that personal integrity is worth more than a few dollars which would I gain by that. In my LinkedIn network I have a lot of friends and business partners, now imagine how it would look if I would publicly promote scam coins or offers. For me to promote anything I have to first thoroughly research the product and the team and see if they are really trustworthy. Just in case.\nAnd by any means, do research before investing and learn as much as you can about crypto, before you buy your first coins. I cannot emphasize how important is to get as much knowledge as possible, before starting with trading. But I personally do not care about it, as long it brings me profit it can be centralized and institutional as much as it wants. But I believe that it has the future, especially in financial institutions. \n\nWhat about DNotes coin? I have been writing about them a lot and I have been also sharing a lot of their content on LinkedIn and Twitter. Well there is a good reason behind it…and is not only that I hold them in my portfolio. The main reason is that I have seen how insincere crypto world and some people behind it can be. But DNotes stood out as a one of the rare positive examples!\nAt some point I have started to more actively follow the teams behind the coins in my portfolio and I found out that DNotes coin team is by far one of the most honest out there. But just that would not be enough, I have also found out that they have great vision and working product.       "body": "When considering what to write in my next blog I came across the idea to present a cryptocurrency  called DNotes in more detail. I admit that much :)) \nThat is not all, however. I invested in Dnotes because I honestly believe that DNotes is one of the most undervalued coins out there at this time. But of course, do check for yourself. First one is definitely the team, who in my opinion is very trustworthy and has a great vision. As some of you probably already experienced at some point, it is not easy to find trustworthy teams in the crypto space. Many of them just want to make some fast money and stop development as soon as they fill their pockets, after making it on large exchanges. The DNotes team is working since 2014 and have talked publicly about how they want to avoid such pump & dump scenarios, and rather build sustainable value. Furthermore, they are constantly in touch with their community and investors on their Bitciontalk forum thread and other social channels. They value their community and want to grow together for everyone’s benefit. \n\nThis value building vision goes far beyond just building a good cryptocurrency. The DNotes team have the ambition to build a massive network of businesses to drive cryptocurrency adoption to go along with it. The DNotes leadership have experience in ambitious projects, and they frequently talk about the importance of leadership qualities to make projects successful, even in the development of decentralized currencies. \n\nDNotes is not just a cryptocurrency, but it will be supported by integrated business ecosystem via DNotes Global. DNotes Global is a for-profit, incorporated company that develops DNotes’ global payment network and blockchain application deployment platform that will allow the issuance of tokenized assets. The company also develops and manages a business ecosystem that will support the payment network by offering additional functionality. \nDNotes Global will serve as the DNotes payment system’s bridge to the existing centralized financial world. Building the whole ecosystem will also add more intrinsic value, which will make coin more resistant to downwards trading pressure, in the pursuit of making it a better and safer long-term investment. \n\nWhen we come to financing cryptocurrencies, we can see that today most companies decide to do it by doing an ICO. But at the same time ICO’s are getting more and more attention from regulators, with some companies receiving subpoenas from authorities. Many of these companies and projects could have serious problems in the future. On the other hand, DNotes has chosen different method for funding. Their plan is plan is to use two rounds of funding – Reg. D 506 (c) for $5 million in the coming months, followed by Reg. A+ Mini IPO Title IV Tier 2 to raise up to $50 million from accredited and non-accredited investors worldwide, within a 12-month period to be initiated by the end of the year. Once they are listed on the exchanges, they wait for the coin to go up and dump their holding of the coin. This would likely explain many of the rapid rises in price, followed by swift corrections that I’m sure so many of you have experienced. I unfortunately have had this frustrating experience numerous times. Of course that is good if you are in for pure speculation and are just a trader, but for investors who want to find long term value from a project that plans to be successful and use winning strategies, I would argue that DNotes could be a far better option!\n\nI also really like the CRISP savings program rewards, which stands for Cryptocurrency Investment Savings Plan. These reward rewards DNotes owners with 0.5% interest, every month (6 % annually). This is on top of the staking reward you can earn through Proof Of Stake. Invoices can be automatically generated from the merchant or software and tied to the end of the DNotes address, making it easy and seamless for the end user use and pay. \nThe DNotes team are always trying to find useful things, rather than ‘gimmicky’ things to add to their network, because those are the things that will help the currency go mainstream. \n\nDNotes was initially forked from the Stratis blockchain and the team made numerous changes to the code to take it the way they wanted. I’m really looking forward to smart contracts on the platform, and the issuing of tokenized assets through DNotes future investment wing that will launch after their funding rounds. \n\nThere is also a great bunch of other features and advantages, but I often think they are better explained by the team themselves, so I recommend people go read their Bitcointalk forum and go say hello in the telegram channel. \n\nBest of luck researching!",

      "body": "When considering what to write in my next blog I came across the idea to present a cryptocurrency I quite like called DNotes in more detail. I admit that much :)) \nThat is not all, however. I invested in Dnotes because I honestly believe that DNotes is one of the most undervalued coins out there at this time. But of course, do check for yourself. First one is definitely the team, who in my opinion are very trustworthy and have great vision. As some of you probably already experienced at some point, it is not easy to find trustworthy teams in the crypto space. Many of them just want to make some fast money and stop development as soon as they fill their pockets after making it on large exchanges. The DNotes team is working since 2014 and have talked publicly about how they want to avoid such pump & dump scenarios, and rather build sustainable value. Furthermore, they are constantly in touch with their community and investors on their Bitciontalk forum thread and other social channels. They value their community and want to grow together for everyone’s benefit. \n\nThis value building vision goes far beyond just building a good cryptocurrency. The DNotes team have the ambition to build a massive network of businesses to drive cryptocurrency adoption to go along with it. The DNotes leadership have experience in ambitious projects, and they frequently talk about the importance of leadership qualities to make projects successful, even in the development of decentralized currencies. \n\nDNotes is not just a cryptocurrency, but it will be supported by integrated business ecosystem via DNotes Global. DNotes Global is a for-profit, incorporated company that develops DNotes’ global payment network and blockchain application deployment platform that will allow the issuance of tokenized assets. The company also develops and manages a business ecosystem that will support the payment network by offering additional functionality. \nDNotes Global will serve as the DNotes payment system’s bridge to the existing centralized financial world. Building the whole ecosystem will also add more intrinsic value, which will make coin more resistant to downwards trading pressure, in the pursuit of making it a better and safer long-term investment. \n\nWhen we come to financing cryptocurrencies, we can see that today most companies decide to do it by doing an ICO. But at the same time ICO’s are getting more and more attention from regulators, with some companies receiving subpoenas from authorities. Many of these companies and projects could have serious problems in the future. On the other hand, DNotes has chosen different method for funding. Their plan is plan is to use two rounds of funding – Reg. D 506 (c) for $5 million in the coming months, followed by Reg. A+ Mini IPO Title IV Tier 2 to raise up to $50 million from accredited and non-accredited investors worldwide, within a 12-month period to be initiated by the end of the year. This would likely explain many of the rapid rises in price, followed by swift corrections that I’m sure so many of you have experienced. I unfortunately have had this frustrating experience numerous times. Of course that is good if you are in for pure speculation and are just a trader, but for investors who want to find long term value from a project that plans to be successful and use winning strategies, I would argue that DNotes could be a far better option!\n\nI also really like the CRISP savings program rewards, which stands for Cryptocurrency Investment Savings Plan. These reward rewards DNotes owners with 0.5% interest, every month (6 % annually). This is on top of the staking reward you can earn through Proof Of Stake. Invoices can be automatically generated from the merchant or software and tied to the end of the DNotes address, making it easy and seamless for the end user use and pay. \nThe DNotes team are always trying to find useful things, rather than ‘gimmicky’ things to add to their network, because those are the things that will help the currency go mainstream. \n\nDNotes was initially forked from the Stratis blockchain and the team made numerous changes to the code to take it the way they wanted. I’m really looking forward to smart contracts on the platform, and the issuing of tokenized assets through DNotes future investment wing that will launch after their funding rounds. \n\nThere is also a great bunch of other features and advantages, but I often think they are better explained by the team themselves, so I recommend people go read their Bitcointalk forum and go say hello in the telegram channel. \n\nBest of luck researching!",

I personally think that coming to more exchanges will really give the coin the boost in price ;)\nAnd there is also a fact that the DNotes have really good team behind it.       "body": "I just noticed Dnotes on Coin Market Cap. It seemed to pop up out of nowhere with a $380 Million market cap and $2.50 price, with a 9000% 7-day gain. I was like, WTH?!?! Where did this come from??? So I started looking into it.\n\nApparently, Dnotes is set to be listed on the Cryptopia exchange on May 12th, 2018. This seems to have had the effect of bumping the price up to $2.50 from about 6 cents. That's an amazing jump!\n\nProblem: Dnotes are only currently trading on some scammy-looking exchange located somewhere is Eastern Europe or the Ukraine/Russia. They are still running some kind of an old fork of Dnotes & have not yet upgraded their nodes. The other exchange, Trade-By-Trade has the correct price, but their ID verification process is so backed up that it's taking about a week to verify your ID documentation.\n\nThis could be a great opportunity to make a small initial investment and get a butt-ton of profit - or it could be a scam. The thing is, it doesn't look like a scam from their website. It looks legit, but it's just now launching and it's very, very \"iffy.\" So, I agree with your basic message of cautious optimism: BUYER BEWARE. A small risk might be worth taking for a big reward. Throw in $20 and see what happens. If you get scammed, oh well - it's only $20. If it's legit, you could have 10x's your money by next week.\n\nI might take the time to do some more reasearch, set up a Cryptopia account, and give it a spin. No risk, no reward. But, I have no idea what will happen.",
