Despite the American public education system spending more per pupil than many other countries, it is still the worst among industrialized nations. This message is pumped into our brains from such a young age that many never even bother to question it. Not only do they not question IF it is true, but whether it even CAN be true. What measure is there of true “greatness”? Freedom? Standard of living?\n\nThere may well be no true way to actually determine the “best” country in the world, especially without living in any other than the one where you’re born. There are of course obvious cases, where 99% of people will agree that country A is better than country B. The United States is a better country than North Korea. Duh. No one is questioning that.\n\nWhen we look at it from a different angle things tend to change. People move around the world all the time. Millions of people come to America each year from all over the world. Does that mean America is best? Not necessarily. It also depends on why people are moving to America, and ultimately how well they do. What I mean is that I like free markets, limited government, adherence to the Constitution, and so on. I’ve spent years taking shots at the left. The left, at least to me, is defined by regulated markets, large government, a fluid view of the Constitution, etc.\n\nAs a person of the right, I actually find it more entertaining to take shots AT the right. The right tends to be less emotional, more grounded in reality, and more consistent. The right is more fun to debate than the left. The right is a more worthy opponent. When I come across an issue where the right is wrong on, it is my responsibility to call it out. As the saying goes – clean up your own house first.\n\nA common complaint against the left is their selective outrage. They are outraged when X happens involving Y, but not when X happens involving Z. It is a huge problem and undermines any valid arguments they’re actually making.\n\nFor instance, following the shooting of Michael Brown, the left became outraged over police killing black teens. Thousands of people swarmed the streets in nearly every major city across America. Police were labeled as racist and every other bad word imaginable.\n\nYet, little time has been spent covering the daily deaths of black teens across America at the hands of drug gangs in our inner cities. Sites like HeyJackass.com document the rate of crime in Chicago, which as of today has a 2017 total of 639 homicides and 3411 shootings. Where is the left on this issue? I mentioned Chicago crime statistics on a near daily basis on my Monday-Friday podcast, but rarely heard anyone in mainstream media mention them.\n\nWhy? Selective outrage. It makes the outrage over the death of Michael Brown seems phony and manufactured. New reports are coming forward that interns and assistants in our nation’s capital have a “creep list”, filled with names of powerful legislators who no woman would want to be caught alone in an elevator with. Powerful and influential Democrat Al Franken’s name has been shown to be on that list. Who else?\n\nMeanwhile, those same Washington elites are touting their new “tax reform” bill. However, there can be no true reforms without spending cuts.\n\nGovernment has no money of its own, because it doesn’t produce anything. All money it spends it first needs to steal from the public. It can do this three ways – direct taxes, debt, or inflation. Unless government cuts spending, it will continue to tax. It wasn’t until I began questioning those right-wing pundits that I was able to see through their lies and misleading commentary. One thing we should all do is question everybody and everything.\n\n<h1>Is Iran Actually a Threat to Israel or the United States?</h1>\n\nLet’s go back in history and try to grasp where this deal came from. Iran had been under intense sanctions for some time due to their pursuit of nuclear technology. Israel, America’s little brother in the middle east, warned that without these sanctions Iran would have developed a nuke sooner, and had promised to “wipe Israel off the face of the Earth.”\n\nA lot of the hoopla for Iran being a threat to Israel comes from the statements of former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
