However, our food is lacking essential vitamins/mineral due to mass farming/green harvesting. To add to that there is altered foods due to GMOs etc.  It does make it very challenging however it is possible to  maintain a healthy diet. \nAll the best with your quest.",

      "body": "Growing up I can remember that my siblings and I never wanted for anything. We were always kitted out in the latest styles, the cupboards, fridge and freezer was well stocked and we were showered with love. Now that I have my own children I too ensure that they have everything they need and most parents I know have a similar mindset and know that it is sometimes necessary for us parents to do without so that the needs of our children are always met.\nOne area that needs improvement is our education on the issue of health and wellness. As well as being too reliant on allopathic medicine which treat symptoms and do nothing to combat the root cause of a dis-ease, we also have to accept that we can't eat the same way our parents and grandparents did without succumbing to a multitude of ailments.\n\nHere's some of the questions I had to ask myself when my eldest son developed eczema:\nAre we providing our children with the correct nutrition that will enable them to grow into healthy adults? Are we aware of how breastfeeding is key to a baby building a healthy immune system? \nDo we question our GP on the ingredients contained in the vaccines that are given to our children throughout their childhood? \nWhat are the possible side effects? What is the Vaccine Damage Payments Act 1979 and have you read it? \nWhat studies have been done on the safety of vaccines? \nWhat effect does antibiotics have on the immune system?\nDo we know which antibiotics or growth hormones have been pumped into the burger or chicken from the fast food outlet that we readily feed our children as a \"treat\"?\nWhat are GMO's and what studies have been done to rule out any adverse effects?\nHow will they effect our children as they grow?\n\nI know 8 years ago I didn't have the answer to most of those questions and I had to do a lot of research to address the symptoms that my son presented. We can't keep saying that our parents ate that way and it never kill them! The truth is that most of them that don't follow a healthy lifestyle now complain of aches and pains, their joints are riddled with arthritis, they're on medication for diabetes or they have the onset of Alzheimer's. None of these diseases are a definite contributory factor of ageing. They develop over a period of time primarily due to poor lifestyle choices. Now with all the other forms of pollution that we have to deal with, it is crucial that we take responsibility for ensuring that we re-educate ourselves in all the aforementioned areas so that we can provide our children with one of the most valuable gifts that we can, good health.\n\nHere's a selection of the books that I have used and will be using to further my education.       "body": "What have I been up to since my last post? \n\nWell its been a really challenging few months and for a while I felt as if my creativity had abandoned me to seek sunnier climes in pursuit of the summer sun which had failed to show up in England! Not only that, in May this year I learnt that my aunt's cancer had spread and she was informed that nothing further could be done for her. This is after several doses of chemotherapy, which I wish she hadn't had for reasons I'll elaborate on later. As she was discharged and sent home I dug up all the information I could on methods used to help the body heal itself from this dis-ease and forwarded them on to my mother to send to my aunt. I didn't want to accept that this was happening to my beautiful, inspiring, ambitious and caring aunt, who had been such a positive role model in my life. Consequently, I shied away from visiting her when I heard that her condition was deteriorating, I clung on to the idea that if she fed her body the right nutrition, she would regain her health and strength. Sadly, her body succumbed to the illness on 14 August 2017 and it sent ripples of devastation through me and my entire family. In all honesty, after the small amount of research that I have done, her immune system, which was already weakened, was totally obliterated by the chemotherapy and it would have taken a miracle for her to have survived.\n\nHer untimely death has encouraged me to remain steadfast in my pursuit of optimum health for my family and I. There are so many factors to be considered when deciding how best to achieve this as a result of the numerous chemicals in the environment, our food and vaccines among other things, that we really have to be conscious to the task at hand and take all the necessary measures no matter what the cost. This is especially important for our children, as the decisions we make for them today determines the quality of life they will have in years to come.\n\nI'm also looking into the the rate at which cancer has grown in the last few years and the reasons for its continued assent. This year alone I personally know three people who have perished at the hands of “the big C” and it is alarming to say the least. I'll be sharing my findings and any useful information that I come across as well as chronicling my own journey. We need to do something to quell the explosion of this dis-ease which has affected so many families worldwide.
