      "title": "BE LIKE A CHILD",
      "body": "Children are gifts from God, a heritage of the Lord and the fruit of the womb is his reward (Psalm127:3-4).\n\nGod on his wisdom planted into children certain important traits that make them unique. Being like a child therefore means going back to reactivate these traits we possessed during childhood and get glued to them.\n\nThe first quality (trait)is that, children listen. Children do observe, they are like containers. In their ears, we deposit faith or fear, victory or defeat, motivation or depression. It is rather unfortunate that in the early stages they are unable to push the reject button whenever is introduced.\n\nIn Matthew19:14, when the disciples rebuked the children, Jesus said\" suffer little children and forbid them not to come unto me, for of such is the kingdom of heaven\".  A pastor's son walked publicly to the alter and committed himself to Christ after listening to his father's sermon. What and who are you listening?\n\nThe second quality is that children Learn. Children learn to laugh, criticize, rebel, cooperate take or give through their parents and peers. In the Holy Family Hospital, Berekum where I work, there two Senior House Officers who joined the Medical fraternity due to what they learned from their patents. Both parents are medica doctors and upon interrogation I found out that they all took the interest from their parents. They studied their parents and saw the joy with which they go about their work\n\nIn that same vein, we can never stop learning. We have to learn, learn from parents, tutors, peers etc as others also learn from us. Steemit, I know is a platform of learning. Hence let us grab the opportunity and utilize it.\n\nAgain, children Lean. Children long for a sigh of strength. They will test every emotional fibre of a parent. Children need their parents around, even though they may not say it.\nChildren lean on wisdom and experience of parents. They lean on the affection and love of parents and peers as well.\n\nOn that same way, we have to lean on the wisdom, experience, affection, love and knowledge of others.\n\nFinally, children, Love. Children are never burdened with the memories of injustices. They are not people-users to climb the \"cooperate ladder\". They are channels of love. Let us therefore learn from them.\n\nJesus said unless we are as little children, we will not enter the kingdom of God.       "body": "With reference to an article posted by kwabkesseh on the topic \" Social responsibility-Osei Kwame Despite\", where he recounted the good deeds of a renowned philanthropist, Mr Osei Kwame Despite of Despite group of companies.\n\nThe Catholic Diocese of Sunyani has replicated their quest for providing health care to the neglected people of Ghana. The fact cannot be denied that Catholics are really living up to their Vision, Mission and Goal statements.\n\nThe Vision of the Catholic Health Service is to provide high quality healthcare in the most effective/efficient and innovative manner, specific to the needs of the communities they serve and at all times acknowledge the dignity of the patients.\n\nTheir Mission is also to continue the healing ministry of Christ in bringing healing to the greatest number of people in the provision of total quality health care through healers with good ethical and moral standards.\n\nThe Goal of the Catholic health service is to provide and sustain good quality healthcare for the poor, the neglected and marginalised in the society.\n\nIt is in view of the above that the Catholic Diocese of Sunyani is always ahead in providing healthcare to people in the hinterlands.\n\nBadu is a town situated in the Tain District, a district carved out from the Wenchi Municipality in November 12, 2003.\n\nAccording to statistics, Tain district has a population of 101,000 while Badu has a population of 9,600, according to the 2010 population census.\n\nThis district by statistics, is suppose to have twenty (20) CHPS Compounds, but can now boast of six (6). It is suppose to have ten (10) health centres, it has four(4), it needs four(4) polyclinics but have none. (Source: District Health Director, Tain District).\n\nThis therefore means that residents have to travel on foot, bicycles and motor bikes for miles to access healthcare.\nCould you imagine how uncomfortable and serious it is for a pregnant woman who is in labour to be transported to the nearest health centre on a bicycle or better still on a  motor bike?\nAll these coupled with other cases caused the Catholic church under the direction of His Lordship Most Rev. Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi to put up a clinic at Badu, the town with the largest population in the Tain district. So to the people of Badu and its environs, a clinic has been born.\n\nThe Bishop also donated a well furnished  Ambulance to handle and transport referral cases.\nAmong the services to be provided include Out Patient Department services, Ante- natal services and Public Health Care.\nThis therefore means that employment opportunity has been created, and the risk of transporting patients and women in labour has also been curbed,  hence maternal and infant mortality will also be reduced.\n\nBrethren, if steemit is about looking at the community, then the Catholic Diocese of Sunyani is in line with this virtue.\n\nIt is therefore expedient to bring to the notice of all and sundry that a magnificent edifice has been built as a clinic for the Badu Community.\n\nAs a secretary to the planning committee and the Master of Ceremony for the inauguration, I say kudos and thumbs up to the Catholic Diocese of Sunyani.\n\nTo my dear steemians, if single handedly we cannot give back to the society, like the CEO of Despite group of companies, we can as a group.
