Why do tankers only have a cylindrical shape, but no cube shape or an ideal box shape?** While I was heading out yesterday, the thought bothered me, so I took my Infinix note 4, and started searching on net, I decided today to share my findings.\n\n![Fuel-tankers-on-Nigeria-road.jpg]\n(https://steemitimages.com/DQmXgGntbWpb61kEaLf8CCqEPdZZJJWhWkZhWYADGZKgKT6/Fuel-tankers-on-Nigeria-road.jpg)\nFuel tankers on Nigeria road\n\nA vehicle designed to transport liquefied cargoes such as water, high pressure gas or oil is called a tank truck. There are many types of oil tankers in terms of size, insulation, pressure holding capacity and type of transported liquid. A cylindrical shaped cistern has many advantages. The reasons are mentioned below:\n\n***More stability***\nA vehicle with liquids such as gas and liquefied combustible oils needs great stability for safe transport because the liquid has a property of maneuverability. To make the transportation successful, the distinct form of the tanker counts a lot.\n\nThe shape of the tanker must have a low center of gravity and this can only be achieved by a cylindrical tank. Rectangular or square tanks have a relatively high center of gravity, which endangers the stability of the vehicle.\n\n***No weak points***\nA cylindrical vessel has no structural weaknesses that require reinforcement. A rectangular or square container even has flat and lateral corners that can easily break under high pressure. This means that the conventional rectangular container will fall out faster than a cylindrical container.\n\n***Sloshing liquid***\nWhen an oil tanker accelerates or slows down, the liquid in the tank slides through the law of inertia, that is, \"a body remains at rest in peace and a moving body continues to move until an external force of opposition acts on it”. The splash phenomenon is called surge. To reduce the Morse effect and shorten or accelerate the route, tankers have placed metal plates that reduce the flow of liquid in either direction. This is reason behind tanker drivers slowing down or carefully accelerating their tankers.\n\nIn addition, unlike other shapes, a spherical container absorbs blowout liquid better than other shape of tankers.\n\n***Extraction of liquid***\nA cylindrical container is more practical for extracting liquid from the cart in a simpler way than other shaped containers. This is because the liquid is carried to the bottom of a cylindrical tank and even the smallest amount of drops comes out. On the other hand, a rectangular tank would not allow the liquid to move to the vent point, and there will always be a quantity of product not funneled out.\n\n***Maintenance***\nA cylindrical container is easier to clean than any rectangular container, because in a box-shaped container, traces of liquid are trapped in the corners and, at the end, it is more difficult to remove. A cylindrical container does not contain angles, so cleaning is much easier.",

      "body": "I have always desire to be involved in the creation or utilization of alternative energy to foster our Environment Power System Shortage. One major problem of our beloved country is we are too dependent on a single thing, we fail try to expand and diversify in the field of knowledge. The two main power plants in Nigeria are Hydro-electric and thermal or fossil power plants. We need to think, search and adopt other renewable energy available around the world. \n\nWhile I was in deep thought on my bed this morning, thinking about creating an electrical supply with the use of natural element, I looked at the electricity supply through converting  DC to AC with the help of solar panels and inverter, I remembered sound wave can be converted to get electricity signal, we also have wind and water turbines. Then I thought about air, nothing has been done. I decided to do a research, to my surprise, some efforts has been made towards pulling electricity from the motion of air but not much work on pulling electricity charges directly from air itself.\n\n![IMG_20180317_141102_728.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmRM4aDKjnTZi7vSUzK2aFq4vqgphQWQJwkrqYkoCPPnKZ/IMG_20180317_141102_728.jpg)  *(source: PJ Unlimited Design)*\n\nTemperature changes, large and small, occur all the time around us and scientists have developed a machine that converts water droplets adrift in the atmosphere into electricity, which could power sensors and communication devices by using small particles of aluminum phosphate and slica (two particles commonly found in the atmosphere) to pick up a slight charges.\n\nThis is something that can be placed on a desk and generate power of what looks like nothing. They noticed sparks of electricity formed as steam escaped from boilers. A slight electrical shock was noticed in attempt to touch the steam. The theory was later proved right by Galembeck and his colleague’s laboratory experiments that stimulated water’s contact with dust particles in the air. They use Silica and aluminum phosphate. The result show silica becoming more negatively charge in the presence of high humidity and aluminum phosphate was positively charge. When it is tested with a difference of 10 degrees Celsius (18 degrees Fahrenheit) temperature between day and night, a small sample of material produces a potential of 350 millivolts and 1.3 milliwatts of power, which is sufficient to hold sensors or systems: operation no batteries or power supply are needed.\n\nIn addition, the thermal resonator can operate in all weather conditions and even in the shade, provided that the ambient temperature changes. It could also work with installed solar panels to collect excess heat, according to its producers.\n\nEventually we could even see planetary rovers powered by this kind of technology, using the cycles between day and night to keep their batteries charged. The method doesn't produce so much power that we can do away with existing batteries and power grids, but it does have the potential to help in a lot of different scenarios.\n\nThen, MIT team tried other types of temperature variations, In the end, it was discovered that the planetary rover driven by this technology, using cycles between day and night to keep the batteries charged. Even if the present output from researches show that it can only serve small appliances and usage, it can be scaled up through adopting the concept of Crystal Energy Receiver that takes advantages of wide range of energetic frequencies. This renewable energy is very simple to imitate and embrace.",

      "body": "I remember an incidence on this nature. There was a day I was cleaning up my compound. A neighbor brought a man to my house that I can help him purchase large amount of btc. I was very dirty that day, because of my appearance, he doubted me and said he was uncomfortable working with me. \n\nAfter a week he cameback to me without my neighbor. He said he was trying to send part of his bitcoin to a wallet address but was unsuccessful . I told him to login let me see,  he was reluctant. I was still unhappy with how I was embarrassed by him the other day.  So I bluntly told him I couldn't help without me seeing his wallet.\n\nAfter two days,  he came back,  after checking his wallet, I discovered that the coin he bought was unconfirmed. I met her while I was writing my exam to gain admission into University of Lagos (UNILAG), which was unsuccessful. I got attracted to her because of her beauty and she looks very intelligent. We started talking, after the exam, we exchange numbers.\n\nThe time we met, we were both single but I didn’t really had the intention to ask her out even though I was crushing on her. After some months, we became close and we started discussing about everything. I discovered she came from a poor background and her mother died given birth her. \n\nShe had a mean childhood; she was not taking seriously by her dad which affected her self-esteem.  She had to leave the Dad after her primary school to stay with her mum's senior sister. She had to put extra effort in everything she did because she felt it was the only way she could pay her Aunt efforts for been there.\n\nI have to go back to the objective of this post, the more I think about her upbringing, the more it pains me how her life turned out. What really got us close was that I was always advising her and helping with the little finance I can help with.\n\nWe were both unsuccessful with admission into UNILAG, the next year I chose Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) but she couldn’t process her admission because of lack of finance to purchase Jamb form. I got admitted in FUNAAB that same year and we lost contact for some months.\n\nWhen we started talking again, she told me there was a guy interested in her and how he calls her day and night to check on her. The guy gave her money to buy her Jamb form into Delta state University (DELSU). I was aware how he made sure she was preparing extensively for her Exams. He was in his 3rd year in DELSU, I can’t really remember his course but I know it is a geographical course. \n\nShe got admitted in 2014, to study medicine and surgery in DELSU. The geographical guy was convincingly there in her adjustment into the school. Her Aunt struggled to pay her school fees and accommodation but she found it hard to keep up with the feeding and necessary financial responsibilities of the university. The Geographical Guy sacrificed a lot in making her concentrate with school activities by constantly organizing Night class and Food provisions.\n\nWith everything that happened, she was on first class in 100 level. And I was very happy with the guy contribution to her life and the fact he respected she doesn’t want to have sex till she get married.\n\nOne problem she had with the guy was that anytime she asked him about marriage, he is always reluctant to get into the discussion. She said, he belief it wasn’t the right time and he doesn’t want to think too far because the future was unpredictable. I supported the guy perception and I always advised her to focus on her school and the things the guy is doing. To me love is not by words but by action. I also believed all the time and resources he has spent on her, unless he feels undervalued by her, he can’t just dump her. I always joked that the guy we never have the balls to end the relationship and it will only end by her decision.\n\nMy Jokes turned into reality one night, she called me that they had an argument and he said he doesn’t feel he would marry for the next 10 years because he feel responsible to repay his poor parents for all they have done for him. It was that night I discovered it was the guy's father that paid her school fees and accommodation in her second year. My head almost blow because there was no basis she should feel insecure when the family of the guy has welcomed her.  She said she ended the relationship because her future wasn’t safe forgotten her present was safe because of the Boy. I knelt down that night on call with her pleading her not to make a decision she will regret. She was adamant with her decision.\n\nA month later week, I called her and asked about her well-being, I noticed a guy was with her. When I asked, I noticed something weird; she was someone completely open with me. But she didn’t want to introduce me with the guy. It was one of her friend that told me they started dating a week after she broke up with the geography guy. I pretend like I didn’t know they were dating because I wanted to be patient to hear for myself what she likes about the guy.\n\nAfter a while, one night while we were chatting on whatsapp, she opened up a little, she denied they were dating but said the reason she is attracted to him was that he was a great kisser, his building his own house, has a car, his popular, handsome, chatty, always tell her what she wanted to hear. I swear it was the most irritating conversation I ever had with her. I asked her, what he does?  Whether he is a graduate? Does he ask about her day and school activities? All her answers were negative, I fumed on the basis of wondering what he talks that she likes. She said she calls him most of the time and they only see during the weekend. She wasn’t happy with what I said and she said she won’t talk to me again until I apologize. I refused to say sorry, what is the essence of having a friend you cannot tell the truth.\n\nWe didn’t talk for almost a year; it was her ex-boyfriend, the Geography guy that called me February last year that he overheard she was pregnant. I could not belief because she always maintained that sex is after marriage. I called her that evening, without saying anything, she started apologizing and said she know the reason I called was because she was pregnant. Immediately, tears rolled from my eyes finding out the rumor were true. She said the 'Mr great kisser' was responsible and he beat her out of the completed house he was building.\n\nAnytime, I think about her, I feel guilty for abandoning her. If I was there giving her my honest opinion, it might not turned out this way. I refused to support her in aborting the pregnancy because of my religious belief. After she got ahead with it, she refused to pick my call till date.",
