titleThe truth behind entreprenerrship
bodyThe first thing people see when they think of an entrepreneur is of their success, all the free time and money they could ever wish for, or "how motivated they constantly seem. What they don't see behind the scenes action of how many sleepless nights, or stressful beginnings of how you'll make your next check. the truth is entrepreneurship can be hard as shit and unless you are okay with being under constant stress and having to adapt to different situations in each new venture then i can assure you it's not for you ![images.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmZkLnA2nnnntP9c1wy9xpE392Fm6wDNsPMpf4orHjQ3gP/images.jpg) Some of the things you usually see that make it seem so flashy are the same old bullshit schemes like "How to make six figures in a week" "make money while you sleep with this automated system" or "Be your own boss and make a million dollars in a day". It even sounds like bullshit right? **Be willing to put in the work** While some of these are possible, you have a better chance of getting struck by lightning twice because it involves an extreme work ethic, consistency, lots of money and the ability to never give up on the true goal. While a lot of courses and systems being promoted promise little work, it's just not true. Sure, there are rare exceptions, but if you ask the majority successful entrepreneurs how their days looked in the beginning and I'm willing to bet that they included going into work hours before everyone else and leaving long after. You have to be willing to bust your ass. Everyone the same 24 hours, not everyone is willing to dedicate all 24 hours to building a business. Gary V said it best “Stop watching fucking Lost … if you want this. If you want bling bling. If you want to buy the Jets. If you want to do shit. Work. That’s how you get it.” ![download (1).jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmTciXhFmpU4acn9iyxrUpxNqZ5G8TGf3LQGTURSF9TWEP/download%20(1).jpg) Society now a days craves instant gratification, we want it now and we want it fast. Being able to get movies instantly from Netflix, send and receive long letter through email, using our smartphone to get an Uber to be waiting for us after a meeting. ![instantgratification1.png](https://steemitimages.com/DQmawbLBP4BSpGYxHfem3ww55kXnDzM1GsfYeNd9ehqDUU2/instantgratification1.png) The cold hard truth is there are no short cuts, magical secrets or new technology that will give you the a head up on everyone else that will make hundreds of thousands of dollars appear in your bank account overnight. The real way to be a successful entrepreneur is to bust your ass day in and day out, find what you like to do and do it REALLY REALLY well. Anyone trying to tell you differently is going to try and sell you something. ![20150303185559-pinocchio-lies-lying-business-entrepreneur.jpeg] (https://steemitimages.com/DQmQUgwH36FxLDqqEv7fFbMDaKXur9S6CGRsXxnTnTx11E6/20150303185559-pinocchio-lies-lying-business-entrepreneur.jpeg) Why are there so many systems out there lying and deceiving people and eventually letting down want to be entrepreneurs? It relates to the instant gratification part of the article, because there would be a lot less people wanting to start their own business if they made realistic titles like. **quit your job and worry about your financial stability for years** ** how to get four hours of sleep and deal with constant anxiety** **learn how to secure a non guaranteed paycheck** If you saw articles like that would you click on them? i think not. Articles and books like that wouldn't work because they do not excite anyone. Would entrepreneurship be a hot topic if there were stories published about all the failures and destroyed dreams? Not a chance. Instead, startups that receive billion-dollar pre-revenue valuations are featured. people have said it before and i'll mention it again, entrepreneurs need to know it's not going to be quick ,it damn sure isn't going to be easy and success is rare. As Gary said said "learn to love the process". ![download (2).jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmR7DLPeBnsosv21UUbkt82BebBu8RsHnSN986iYaZrzah/download%20(2).jpg) **Understand failure is very possible** Entrepreneurs are strong willed individuals, knowing that we have no guarantee of success and willing to put it all on the line takes balls. Without risk there is no reward and there will be no reward if you never take that first jump to risk it all and you must fully embrace failure, no matter how many times you get knocked down you have to jump back up and shrug it off like nothing happened. you shouldn't expect failure but you need to know that it is possible. ![failure-good-thing-fixed (1).png](https://steemitimages.com/DQmerPvszEtnzNoVegmBEfTG2JnXWRbfiH2WRAPDscatZED/failure-good-thing-fixed%20(1).png) **You must be willing to constantly learn** A true entrepreneur is never done learning or studying, he or she is constantly looking to find and learn information and insight. Even with almost no free time, I take time as an entrepreneur to read at least an hour a day , network and connect with like-minded people and build relationships with mentors and highly influential people. There is no "off" switch for entrepreneurs when it comes to learning. So the next time you see a successful entrepreneur or a new scheme or technology that is promising to make you money remember this article, remember that we struggle through out life just like everyone else. As for me, four years ago i was at a very rough place in my life and if i didn't make drastic changes i would be dead. I decided to bust my ass and do everything humanly possible to get out of that life and i made it. Now, even though i have failed many of times, i know that i can make it and i will not give up no matter how rough shit gets, it could always be worse. It's the process that i love, and i will stop at nothing to reach these goals.

It relates to the instant gratification part of the article, because there would be a lot less people wanting to start their own business if they made realistic titles like.\n\n**quit your job and worry about your financial stability for years**\n** how to get four hours of sleep and deal with constant anxiety**\n**learn how to secure a non guaranteed paycheck**\n\nIf you saw articles like that would you click on them? i think not.\nArticles and books like that wouldn't work because they do not excite anyone. Would entrepreneurship be a hot topic if there were stories published about all the failures and destroyed dreams? Not a chance. Instead, startups that receive billion-dollar pre-revenue valuations are featured.\n\npeople have said it before and i'll mention it again, entrepreneurs need to know it's not going to be quick ,it damn sure isn't going to be easy and success is rare. As Gary said said \"learn to love the process\".\n\n![download (2).jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmR7DLPeBnsosv21UUbkt82BebBu8RsHnSN986iYaZrzah/download%20(2).jpg)\n\n**Understand failure is very possible**\nEntrepreneurs are strong willed individuals, knowing that we have no guarantee of success and willing to put it all on the line takes balls. Without risk there is no reward and there will be no reward if you never take that first jump to risk it all and you must fully embrace failure, no matter how many times you get knocked down you have to jump back up and shrug it off like nothing happened. you shouldn't expect failure but you need to know that it is possible.\n![failure-good-thing-fixed (1).png](https://steemitimages.com/DQmerPvszEtnzNoVegmBEfTG2JnXWRbfiH2WRAPDscatZED/failure-good-thing-fixed%20(1).png)\n\n\n**You must be willing to constantly learn**\nA true entrepreneur is never done learning or studying, he or she is constantly looking to find and learn information and insight. Even with almost no free time, I take time as an entrepreneur to read at least an hour a day , network and connect with like-minded people and build relationships with mentors and highly influential people. There is no \"off\" switch for entrepreneurs when it comes to learning.\n\nSo the next time you see a successful entrepreneur or a new scheme or technology that is promising to make you money remember this article, remember that we struggle through out life just like everyone else. It's the process that i love, and i will stop at nothing to reach these goals.",

titlefinally gaining some healthy weight
bodyThroughout my life i have always been the "skinny guy" no matter how much i worked out or protein i ingested, including protein from meats pasta and other healthy foods i could never seem to put on any weight. this was me two years ago at around 140 pounds ![IMG_5497.JPG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmcgY1Ch6WPN3pebcfDSpzaeXS4jiGQkUQs4wuH81Wbj9g/IMG_5497.JPG) At one point in my lifting career i was eating at least 5,000 calories a day along with 150g of protein, for those of you that don't count calories that's a hell of a lot. My grocery bill was at least two hundred dollars every other week not including supplements. this is me four years ago right out of rehab ![IMG_2196.JPG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmSNKiXSgrK95ppwD6xUb7Lt5BkSHyZeR3VWdRFAzd5m9X/IMG_2196.JPG) Now that i am a little older and a lot wiser about how to gain healthy weight and keep it on i have been doing research about how i can make it easier for myself to gain weight , i also suppose this might help someone else put on some of the weight they need also. The very first thing i needed to change was my workout regime, i had to cut out cardio completely even though some days i really really wanted to go on a run with my dog or jump rope. Cardio has been proven to inhibit muscle growth in some test subjects and for my that proved to be true with my mesomorph body type. ![what-is-your-body-type-facebook-960x540.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmYh7bPFZSzmN8KXz24JzP1A3AyAb4AT6bPtSaYRqpYqvR/what-is-your-body-type-facebook-960x540.jpg) Now that i had found my correct body type i needed to incorporate the workouts and diet that would work for me. So i started on a stack of supplements that i researched and tested a few times before continually taking them. i had taken a test booster before with little to no results so i decided to step it up a little and start taking test 1700 by amp these are the ingredients Magnesium (as Magnesium Glycinate) 25 mg ** Test 1700 Activator 0 ** Testofen® Fenugreek Seed Extract (Trigonella foenum-graecum) 600 mg ** KSM-66® : Ashwagandha Extract (root) 600 mg ** tribulus terrestris fruit extract (40% saponins = 100mg) 250 mg ** Tribulus terrestris Extract (Aerial Parts) 250 mg ** Anabolic Advanced Matrix 0 ** Deer Antler Horn Powder 250 mg ** Chrysin 200 mg ** Sage Leaf Extract (Salvia officinalis) 100 mg ** Bovine Colostrum 100 mg ** Calcium Hydroxymethyl Butyrate Monohydrate (HMB) 100 mg ** Indole-3-Carbinol 99 mg ** Tongkat ali Root Extract (Longjack Root)(Eurycoma longifolia) 50 mg ** Rhaponticum carthamoides Root Extract 50 mg ** DIM (Diindolylmethane) 1000 mcg ** Proprietary Mushroom Blend (Maitake Mushroom Mycelia Powder, Shiitake Mushroom Mycelia Powder, Reishi Mushroom Powder) 100 mg The second supplement in the stack is clear muscle, Clear Muscle™ is a new, revolutionary musclebuilding formula powered by BetaTOR®, a novel, never-before-produced metabolite and free acid derivative of leucine and HMB. This one-of-a-kind compound unlocks the true potential of HMB for unprecedented bioavailability, effectiveness, and results. BetaTOR® works to dramatically amplify protein synthesis through the mTOR pathway while simultaneously fighting catabolism by inhibiting the UPP pathway. This puts the body into the perfect state to build muscle like never before. There is no other supplement like this, and it is exclusively available to MuscleTech® in a clear liquid pill. Now even though the supplements did help inhibit my muscle growth the main thing i changes was my diet, i started doing intermitten fasting, i wake up have a small breakfast, workout and then eat a full meal around 2pm. After that i tend to eat about four to five more meals throughout the day a long with a protein shake or two. After the past month so far this is my progress![IMG_8568.JPG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmW7Us6AStRScCWT2umwBJRwKaQ8JE2QJekW7vuNTvrt3m/IMG_8568.JPG) Not only have i grown and packed on about 14 lbs of muscle i also have more confidence then i've ever had before. My lifts are stronger and my form had improved drastically. I can finally look in the mirror and like what i see instead of just skin and bones. if you liked this post please give it an upvote or if you have any comments feel free to say something or ask

"body": "Throughout my life i have always been the \"skinny guy\" no matter how much i worked out or protein i ingested, including protein from meats pasta and other healthy foods i could never seem to put on any weight.\n\nthis was me two years ago at around 140 pounds \n![IMG_5497.JPG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmcgY1Ch6WPN3pebcfDSpzaeXS4jiGQkUQs4wuH81Wbj9g/IMG_5497.JPG)\nAt one point in my lifting career i was eating at least 5,000 calories a day along with 150g of protein, for those of you that don't count calories that's a hell of a lot. My grocery bill was at least two hundred dollars every other week not including supplements.\n\nthis is me four years ago right out of rehab\n![IMG_2196.JPG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmSNKiXSgrK95ppwD6xUb7Lt5BkSHyZeR3VWdRFAzd5m9X/IMG_2196.JPG)\nNow that i am a little older and a lot wiser about how to gain healthy weight and keep it on i have been doing research about how i can make it easier for myself to gain weight , i also suppose this might help someone else put on some of the weight they need also.\n\nThe very first thing i needed to change was my workout regime, i had to cut out cardio completely even though some days i really really wanted to go on a run with my dog or jump rope. Cardio has been proven to inhibit muscle growth in some test subjects and for my that proved to be true with my mesomorph body type.\n\n![what-is-your-body-type-facebook-960x540.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmYh7bPFZSzmN8KXz24JzP1A3AyAb4AT6bPtSaYRqpYqvR/what-is-your-body-type-facebook-960x540.jpg)\n\nNow that i had found my correct body type i needed to incorporate the workouts and diet that would work for me. So i started on a stack of supplements that i researched and tested a few times before continually taking them.\n\ni had taken a test booster before with little to no results so i decided to step it up a little and start taking test 1700 by amp\nthese are the ingredients Magnesium (as Magnesium Glycinate) \t25 mg\t \t**\nTest 1700 Activator \t0\t \t**\nTestofen® Fenugreek Seed Extract (Trigonella foenum-graecum) \t600 mg\t \t**\nKSM-66® : Ashwagandha Extract (root) \t600 mg\t \t**\ntribulus terrestris fruit extract (40% saponins = 100mg) \t250 mg\t \t**\nTribulus terrestris Extract (Aerial Parts) \t250 mg\t \t**\nAnabolic Advanced Matrix \t0\t \t**\nDeer Antler Horn Powder \t250 mg\t \t**\nChrysin \t200 mg\t \t**\nSage Leaf Extract (Salvia officinalis) \t100 mg\t \t**\nBovine Colostrum \t100 mg\t \t**\nCalcium Hydroxymethyl Butyrate Monohydrate (HMB) \t100 mg\t \t**\nIndole-3-Carbinol \t99 mg\t \t**\nTongkat ali Root Extract (Longjack Root)(Eurycoma longifolia) \t50 mg\t \t**\nRhaponticum carthamoides Root Extract \t50 mg\t \t**\nDIM (Diindolylmethane) \t1000 mcg\t \t**\nProprietary Mushroom Blend (Maitake Mushroom Mycelia Powder, Shiitake Mushroom Mycelia Powder, Reishi Mushroom Powder) \t100 mg\t \t\n\nThe second supplement in the stack is clear muscle, Clear Muscle™ is a new, revolutionary musclebuilding formula powered by BetaTOR®, a novel, never-before-produced metabolite and free acid derivative of leucine and HMB. There is no other supplement like this, and it is exclusively available to MuscleTech® in a clear liquid pill.\n\nNow even though the supplements did help inhibit my muscle growth the main thing i changes was my diet, i started doing intermitten fasting, i wake up have a small breakfast, workout and then eat a full meal around 2pm. After that i tend to eat about four to five more meals throughout the day a long with a protein shake or two. \n\nAfter the past month so far this is my progress![IMG_8568.JPG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmW7Us6AStRScCWT2umwBJRwKaQ8JE2QJekW7vuNTvrt3m/IMG_8568.JPG)\n\nNot only have i grown and packed on about 14 lbs of muscle i also have more confidence then i've ever had before. My lifts are stronger and my form had improved drastically. I can finally look in the mirror and like what i see instead of just skin and bones. \n\nif you liked this post please give it an upvote or if you have any comments feel free to say something or ask",

bodyThe thing about negativity is that it comes when you least expect it, when everything is going perfect it has a way of coming out of the wood work and taking everything you have. But the worst thing you can do when it comes in to your life is to let it bring you down, because even when you know the inevitable will happen you must remember that is the way were things to be exactly in that exact moment in life. Although you may not understand why it had to happen or how life could be so cruel it is the hard times that turn you into the person you are supposed to be when you grow old and wise. Sometimes feeling must exist in that time so that you will learn how to handle them more accordingly at a later time, the one thing you have to remember is to not worry about the future or to dwell in the past. If you can focus on the now and how make things as good as you can possibly make them then life may just come around in your favor. There will always be people, feelings and circumstances that do their best to bring you down, as a species we need to realize its our good intentions and positivity that pushes us through trying times or people that life throws at us. It only seems to be as bad as we perceive it to be, you can look back to remember what you’ve been through to prove to yourself you can and will make it. It’s funny that we think we can find the true meaning of life when the meaning is different inside all of us, for some it’s to be the best looking, or the wealthiest, usually materialistic based. For a select few we wish to find true meaning to life, or genuine happiness. As I mentioned before most seek happiness in material things that will never fill they void which they seek to fill so desperately. When true happiness is found within us all, it is what makes us human. The forces of nature that cause our heart to beat electrical pulses that send them to our brain and back hundreds of thousands of times a second. It is the power we have within that will help us find our meaning in life, or to find our true self. In that moment in time we will know that we have reached our destination but while we’re searching for it we must remember that it is the journey in itself that will reveal what we wish to find how far are you willing to go down the rabbit hole?![lsd-opener-2-reverse3.gif](https://steemitimages.com/DQmRAESNq78724EYNfY29LGcv4gUDLBmQvVzouuVrpvHyNa/lsd-opener-2-reverse3.gif)

titleThe art of manipulation and how to recognize the signs
bodyThrough life one of the most fascinating things I came to know was the art of manipulation, even if I don't use it to my advantage now. While I was younger and more naive it was a subject I became very proficient at, read anything I could find on manipulation. "Psychological manipulation can be defined as the exercise of undue influence through mental distortion and emotional exploitation, with the intention to seize power, control, benefits and/or privileges at the victim’s expense." As a human race we use manipulation more than we believe because it is infused into our mind so that we may have power to get what we want, sometimes females use it to find a mate and vise versa. Most people tend to think females use it more but in reality everyone does it the same, its the subtlety that makes them more efficient at it Below are some of the signs of psychological manipulation that I had found on psychology today ![manipulation1.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmQcvx4pHMb2BExdJCKgVqgWJpVjbruPr9gKsgTzY3UDkW/manipulation1.jpg) **Home Court Advantage** A manipulative individual may insist on you meeting and interacting in a physical space where he or she can exercise more dominance and control. This can be the manipulator’s office, home, car, or other spaces where he feels ownership and familiarity (and where you lack them). **Let You Speak First to Establish Your Baseline and Look for Weaknesses** Many sales people do this when they prospect you. By asking you general and probing questions, they establish a baseline about your thinking and behavior, from which they can then evaluate your strengths and weaknesses. This type of questioning with hidden agenda can also occur at the workplace or in personal relationships. ** Manipulation of Facts** Examples: Lying. Excuse making. Two faced. Blaming the victim for causing their own victimization. Deformation of the truth. Strategic disclosure or withholding of key information. Exaggeration. Understatement. One-sided bias of issue. **Overwhelm You with Facts and Statistics** ![psyhologische-manipalation-and-psyhologische-tricks-300x139.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmd7rBqLAUGh5cD1RiqiVBc6333Tq3Q9qgGDvq2PVtMYKr/psyhologische-manipalation-and-psyhologische-tricks-300x139.jpg) Some individuals enjoy “intellectual bullying” by presuming to be the expert and knowledgeable in certain areas. They take advantage of you by imposing alleged facts, statistics, and other data you may know little about. This can happen in sales and financial situations, in professional discussions and negotiations, as well as in social and relational arguments. By presuming expert power over you, the manipulator hopes to push through her or his agenda more convincingly. Some people use this technique for no other reason than to feel a sense of intellectual superiority. **Overwhelm You with Procedures and Red Tape** Certain people use bureaucracy – paperwork, procedures, laws and by-laws, committees, and other roadblocks to maintain their position and power, while making your life more difficult. This technique can also be used to delay fact finding and truth seeking, hide flaws and weaknesses, and evade scrutiny. ** Raising Their Voice and Displaying Negative Emotions** ![13-24-interrogation.w710.h473.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmVSpa9g7QhyTbJZCSUj8FaV8poHYHcQrycR97bps1NhAA/13-24-interrogation.w710.h473.jpg) Some individuals raise their voice during discussions as a form of aggressive manipulation. The assumption may be that if they project their voice loudly enough, or display negative emotions, you’ll submit to their coercion and give them what they want. The aggressive voice is frequently combined with strong body language such as standing or excited gestures to increase impact. **Negative Surprises** ![psychological-manipulation-techniques.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmZezwzvWNikDMo5CYdC1QtWnqduvvGH4GcUZVHcGsoo9g/psychological-manipulation-techniques.jpg) Some people use negative surprises to put you off balance and gain a psychological advantage. This can range from low balling in a negotiation situation, to a sudden profession that she or he will not be able to come through and deliver in some way. Typically, the unexpected negative information comes without warning, so you have little time to prepare and counter their move. The manipulator may ask for additional concessions from you in order to continue working with you. **Giving You Little or No Time to Decide** This is a common sales and negotiation tactic, where the manipulator puts pressure on you to make a decision before you’re ready. By applying tension and control onto you, it is hoped that you will “crack” and give in to the aggressor’s demands. **Negative Humor Designed to Poke at Your Weaknesses** ![manipulation-FI02.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmezWM95G5Pd8vLPRv58MSnCKhmm5RfXmp2d7iJtVoD4fg/manipulation-FI02.jpg) Some manipulators like to make critical remarks, often disguised as humor or sarcasm, to make you seem inferior and less secure. Examples can include any variety of comments ranging from your appearance, to your older model smart phone, to your background and credentials, to the fact that you walked in two minutes late and out of breath. By making you look bad, and getting you to feel bad, the aggressor hopes to impose psychological superiority over you. **Consistently Judge and Criticize You to Make You Feel Inadequate** ![download.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmXVzPwyRMuFUAjdBvcJhrVRzEst8v2BhMwhbBDiMHYtD5/download.jpg) Distinct from the previous behavior where negative humor is used as a cover, here the manipulator outright bullies you. By constantly depreciating , ridiculing, and superseding you, she or he keeps you off-balance and maintains his or her superiority. The aggressor deliberately encourages the impression that there’s always something wrong with you, and that no matter how hard you try, you are inadequate and will never be good enough. Significantly, the manipulator focuses on the negative without providing genuine and constructive solutions, or offering meaningful ways to help. **The Silent Treatment** ![sc-fam-0902-silent-treatment-20140902.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmaTx1MAjMUt5jD7oStGQRkdtp6cgiPU2ULz6aafv629je/sc-fam-0902-silent-treatment-20140902.jpg) By deliberately not responding to your reasonable calls, text messages, emails, or other inquiries, the manipulator presumes power by making you wait, and intends to place doubt and uncertainty in your mind. The silent treatment is a head game where silence is used as a form of leverage. **Pretend Ignorance** ![two-types-of-ignorance.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmdtDuYAchVeczAGVaxRhmBhegsvh3rpKXgeKtLTBhqNs5/two-types-of-ignorance.jpg) This is the classic “playing dumb” tactic. By pretending she or he doesn’t understand what you want, or what you want her to do, the manipulator/passive-aggressive makes you take on what is her responsibility, and gets you to break a sweat. Some children use this tactic in order to delay, stall, and manipulate adults into doing for them what they don’t want to do. Some grown-ups use this tactic as well when they have something to hide, or obligation they wish to avoid. **Guilt baiting** ![Guilt_Finger.gif](https://steemitimages.com/DQmVbradjexejBNv2bmxXeKfjRsnQK7v8DgbhKq9ndqJzNK/Guilt_Finger.gif) Examples: Unreasonable blaming. Targeting recipient’s soft spot. Holding another responsible for the manipulator’s happiness and success, or unhappiness and failures. By targeting the recipient’s emotional weaknesses and vulnerability, the manipulator talks the recipient into granting unreasonable requests and demands. **Victimhood** ![082615_Overcoming-The-Tyranny-Of-Victimhood.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmdpC2GVEuPZ6uaUNheFoWudXAAWdrEmvoKKM3QTCRnNw6/082615_Overcoming-The-Tyranny-Of-Victimhood.jpg) Examples: Exaggerated or made up personal issues, over reacted or made up health issues. Dependency. Co-dependency. Deliberate moral weakness to elicit sympathy and favor. Playing weak, powerless, or martyr. The purpose of manipulative victimhood is often to exploit the recipient’s good will, guilty conscience, sense of duty and obligation, or protective and nurturing instinct, in order to extract unreasonable benefits and concessions. source: psychologytoday.com

"body": "Through life one of the most fascinating things I came to know was the art of manipulation, even if I don't use it to my advantage now. While I was younger and more naive it was a subject I became very proficient at, read anything I could find on manipulation.\n\n\"Psychological manipulation can be defined as the exercise of undue influence through mental distortion and emotional exploitation, with the intention to seize power, control, benefits and/or privileges at the victim’s expense.\"\n\nAs a human race we use manipulation more than we believe because it is infused into our mind so that we may have power to get what we want, sometimes females use it to find a mate and vise versa.\n\nMost people tend to think females use it more but in reality everyone does it the same, its the subtlety that makes them more efficient at it \n\nBelow are some of the signs of psychological manipulation that I had found on psychology today\n\n![manipulation1.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmQcvx4pHMb2BExdJCKgVqgWJpVjbruPr9gKsgTzY3UDkW/manipulation1.jpg)\n\n**Home Court Advantage** \n\nA manipulative individual may insist on you meeting and interacting in a physical space where he or she can exercise more dominance and control. This can be the manipulator’s office, home, car, or other spaces where he feels ownership and familiarity (and where you lack them).\n\n**Let You Speak First to Establish Your Baseline and Look for Weaknesses**\n\nMany sales people do this when they prospect you. By asking you general and probing questions, they establish a baseline about your thinking and behavior, from which they can then evaluate your strengths and weaknesses. This type of questioning with hidden agenda can also occur at the workplace or in personal relationships.\n\n** Manipulation of Facts**\n\nExamples: Lying. Excuse making. Two faced. Blaming the victim for causing their own victimization. Deformation of the truth. Strategic disclosure or withholding of key information. Exaggeration. Understatement. One-sided bias of issue.\n\n**Overwhelm You with Facts and Statistics**\n\n![psyhologische-manipalation-and-psyhologische-tricks-300x139.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmd7rBqLAUGh5cD1RiqiVBc6333Tq3Q9qgGDvq2PVtMYKr/psyhologische-manipalation-and-psyhologische-tricks-300x139.jpg)\n\nSome individuals enjoy “intellectual bullying” by presuming to be the expert and knowledgeable in certain areas. Some people use this technique for no other reason than to feel a sense of intellectual superiority.\n\n**Overwhelm You with Procedures and Red Tape**\n\nCertain people use bureaucracy – paperwork, procedures, laws and by-laws, committees, and other roadblocks to maintain their position and power, while making your life more difficult. titlepablo the dog
bodyFour months ago while i was working part time at a local shelter i went in one morning after we had a very large rescue from Louisiana, we had recieved a total of 35 dogs and 50 cats. included in that number was a very thing very scared dingo/pitbull terrier mix who looked like he had a very rough ride all the way to virginia. ![IMG_8663.JPG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmTVUFhbMZAmekJYrtnPgyAsbPE5oDdiFdVoMMBiyMQ61F/IMG_8663.JPG) I was just clocking in when i walked up the stairs only to be stared at by the most adorable dog i had ever seen in my life, as soon as he laid his eyes on me pablo started wagging his whole body and what seemed like he was asking me to come out of the cage. So before i started my daily routine of feeding and cleaning the cages i grabbed a lead, opened the kennel and his attitude seemed to change almost automatically ![IMG_8737.JPG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmPBYSAzNADAHzxAPAZr61YNZNowoaFcFYDsGpncu4w9My/IMG_8737.JPG) He started to smile and what sounded like a whistle, i never had a dog that i met there so happy to see me, especially one that i had just met for the first time that morning. We walked around downtown Roanoke and even though he pulled a little bit Pablo was walking tall, confident and happier than ever. The hardest part was putting him back in his kennel after our nice morning walked, but i gave him a treat, a head rub and gave him a kiss before i told him that i will be back to get him back out. It almost seemed like he understood what i was saying, the rest of that day through out work i contemplated if i could really handle that kind of responsibility of adopting another animal ( we already had a cat and ball python in out two bedroom condo). ![IMG_8736.JPG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmS6EJGMTufFb6RShZou4VrcLo1XHiud6WbjuiuHicHnZU/IMG_8736.JPG) So the next three days i talked to my roommate, and a few people at work to see if i would be able to get a little bit of help getting him into my home, after i asked my supervisor at the time she assured me that the shelter would let me take home bags of food and any kind of medical attention he needed would be provided through them for free. So on the third day after i did my daily routine i decided to take pablo out on one last walk to be the decided factor of his adoption, little to say he won my heart in that last thirty minutes. As we walked around the block i noticed that my boot had came untied so i stopped and kneeled to tie it but when i did pablo climbed up onto my leg rested his head on my chest while he let out a sigh of relief. At that moment i knew he had chosen me as his forever person, so i kissed him on his head again and told him " i know buddy, i'll sign the papers as soon as we get back". So as we walked back even though i wasn't exactly sure if i could handle a dog in my house i made the final decision to adopt him and give him a loving home. The shelter gave me his antibiotics to start his heart worm treatment a big fifty pound of dog food, set up his next appointment and started our trip home ![IMG_8735.JPG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmbtjbmZw1BresAZcJVgxMFdvChx5m1KPpANSeTfKuSZhL/IMG_8735.JPG) As he settled in the biggest issue i knew would happen is Pablo and my cat getting along, at first he would chase and try to play with Omar (the cat) but Omar just wasn't down for it. He would get scared, fluff up and hiss. It was honestly one of the most stressfull moments of the adoption because all i could think was what if they never get along, having one of my animals scare and stress out another was something i needed to learn how to handle. The biggest thing i had to remember was patients, that at some point they may not love each other but as long as they can be in the same room i would know progress has been made ![IMG_8733.JPG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmTwPcvyC72ZzLahDaTLCpCe9Rkqmox3dDkxWWvRC9xA5k/IMG_8733.JPG) After three days of keeping them seperated i started intrducing their smells to eachother by letting one roam free in the living room and the other down stairs then switching them out, they started to settled down so when i thought some progress has been made i decided to let them boat roam free, and while there were still some chasing going on there was an unfathomable amount of progress made in just a few weeks. Now even though they may not love each other im happy to announce they are getting closer and closer ![IMG_8734.JPG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmVaWLmkMCh3Ti1MYhoWcqjX1NDrz6xb88RNt7bozgmbib/IMG_8734.JPG)

titleThe toughest moment of a mans life
bodyAlright so this is going to be kind of a sob story, i suggest you have some tissues close by. Four years ago i met what would turn out to be the love of my life, the mother of an angel and the sweetest woman i have ever met, after four years of talking non stop and having the closest best friend i have ever had i fell in love with her after she had helped me through one of the toughest times in my adult life. Tuesday 9/5/17 my girlfriend of eight months Elizabeth Raines passed away from complications of ovarian cancer, she had some systs removed back in march then half a mastectomy in April but refused to get chemo so cancer did what cancer does, spread and it spread fast. She left behind her house, older brother Caleb, and six year old daughter Emma ![IMG_8042.JPG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmad9v9HG4WYe8SeEn86X7gjnmkz5YBqHoCFjGzUxWzAjS/IMG_8042.JPG) ![IMG_8198.JPG](https://steemitimages.com/DQmXYHADdjpyheJ3fWc9FRgAVqnyt9gHixyF1gVmRaFxB9w/IMG_8198.JPG) To be fair her death hasn't really hit me yet, i still feel as if she's going to call me and tell me everything is fine, not to worry and that she loves me.. only problem is it's been six days and i know deep in my soul that she's really gone. I could feel it when she went to the hospital and even when her brother broke the news to me. i'm still very much in denial about the whole thing because lets face it, no one wants to lose someone they're in love with. As many deaths as i've been through nothing would've prepared me to lose the love of my life. Due to me being the only father figure Emma has ever had, i have been going through the process of how i can adopt her and how to help her through this time, losing a mother is even harder than loosing a fiance. I know i must stay in this little girls life so that she has some type of strong role model and someone to watch over her as she grows up. I do not have any experience in any of this so any type of help or tips is greatly appreciated, although i do not need more sympathy, simply just support. Sooner or later i will come to terms with everything but until then i am doing everything humanly possible to save up, go visit Emma, and be the best man and father i could possibly be. I never would've thought at 23 years old i would be going through this process but i know that once everything has blown over and even though i will never get over her death i will get stronger. Coming out on the other side with a clear head, a sense of accomplishment and the ability to support this little angel that needs me. Thank you all for the support i've already received, i appreciate it all so much during this time in my life

bodyAlright so this is going to be kind of a sob story, i suggest you have some tissues close by. Thank you all for the support i've already received, i appreciate it all so much during this time in my life

titlewhite nationalists and white supremacists march in Virginia town
bodyoriginal article by Jessica Chai ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmcBps6HpJTSFBh5WtY86uA3NR9NF79NVJHXJX5rvXEKiK/image.png) of white nationalists marched through the University of Virginia campus on Friday night carrying torches as they chanted “You will not replace us.” The demonstrators, who also yelled "blood and soil" — a phrase tied to Nazi ideology — made their way through the Charlottesville campus before encircling a group of counter-protesters gathered around a statue of Thomas Jefferson. A fight broke out, and some of the white nationalists swung their tiki torches at people, according to the Daily Progress.
