Usually we study from the Bible about others subject, but today we are focusing on the Bible itself, and it's place in the life of a Christian. It is hoped that this discussion will foster in each of us a greater love for the Bible and a deeper commitment to follow its teachings.\n\nThe Bible is the word of God (2tim.3:16; 2pet.1;21)\n\nThe Bible is inspired of God. Although from God, came to us through the lives and experience of God's men. Written over a period of no less than 2000 years and by as many as forty different authors, it is nevertheless the word of God. Paul says, All Scriptures is inspired by God...\" (2tim.3: 16). And Peter wrote, No prophecy ever came by the impulse of men, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. (2Pet.1:21). God didn't just make man a writing machine, but sent His Holy Spirit into the mind and experience of men to put down in writing the word of Scriptures.\n\nThe Bible is a Record of God's Revelation.\n\nGod has revealed himself to man. The Bible is not the revelation itself, but it is the story of how God has all along been seeking to reveal himself to a sinning humanity. This revelation began with creation and with Adam. It continued in various ways through the prophet until finally God's greatest revelation came in the person of Jesus Christ. Using the Holy Scripture, the Holy Spirit of God continue to speak to men and to assist in our understanding of God.\n\nThe Bible is Enduring.\n\nThe scripture are the permanent and Enduring message from God. We do not need to look further, or for some new and different word from God. He has revealed himself fully in Jesus Christ and the story of it has been written in His words.       "body": "A preacher, many years ago,talking to a group of people said, \"for a happy life three things are necessary: something to hope for, something to do, and someone to love\". And speaking on something to hope for, Alexander the Great answering a question over his generosity to his troops said,\"I have kept what is greatest of all. I have kept my hopes.\" What holds every Christian to his or her faith today is the hope of everlasting life with Jesus Christ.\n\nWhen Jesus informed disciples about His departure, they were worried and upset. And in order to encourage them and counter balance His departure, Christ promised them a place above where every Christian will reign with Him forever. Thus Christ's wonderful speech became the hope of every Christian. It is the belief in this speech and faith in Christ's second coming that sustains many Christians today.\n\nThe Future Glory (Romans 8:18-25)\n\nFor all Christians the present suffering are to be viewed in the lights of the glory that is about to be revealed in us. The suffering are not to be compared with the glory coming, for they are not at all equal intensity or value. Not only in glory to be revealed to the believers, but believers themselves are to be revealed. Paul says, that this event is the eager expectations of the creation. Since man is part of nature, when he sinned he brought pain and death not only on themselves but on the whole created world. So on the day man is transformed, the creation will share is transformation. There will be a new heaven and anew earth.\n\nAlthough we experience tornadoes, earthquakes droughts and floods, God brought all of them with a definite hope for a future day when the frustration will be removed. God has promised that the creation which has been enslaved to deterioration and corruption will be set free from this condition. Not only creation, but also believers who have the first fruit of the spirit groans within themselves.\n\nThe first fruit here may mean the blessings and changes that the spirit has already produced in the lives of believers. The adoption for which the believer awaits refers to the redemption of our body, it's released and fitness and the pressure which we constantly feel as long as we have our mortal body.\n\nNow we are saved for the hope. The hope for which God saved us in deliverance from a body put under pressure by sin, and from a state of mortal fitness in which we await the day, when clothed with immortality, we shall see God. What is hope Paul says, it is a confident expectations of promised blessings not now present or seen. But the object or blessing hoped for is real and distinct. The redeemed body, however,will be a glorified body, free from all sin. Jesus then takes this opportunity to reassure His disciples, showing them how expedient it is for them that He goes away. He charged them not to let their heart be troubled, for he is going to prepare a place for them. In a situation like this Jesus knows when everything seems on the verge of collapse, a renewed faith in God is necessary.",

      "body": "From personal experience we all know what we went through when we first became Christians. Some of us were faced with different kinds of opposition or persecutions ranging from those within the family circle to the ones awaiting us in our working place, shops and stores and other places where we have dealing with people outside the Christian group.\n\nSome Christians face more problems than others. Those who live among the Muslim are more often not faced with greater tension than those who have little or nothing to do with them. It seems to be that in Northern Nigeria, Christian are more exposed to suffering than any other part of this country. This assumption may not be true of all-times.\n\n![money-2724241__480.webp](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmaxXPbiE1rjFgRn6F6KBG3gHXabxcdN2rPGSU2cmiPjJh/money-2724241__480.webp)\n\nhowever, no matter whatever comes the way of a growing Christian, he or she accepts discipline and sacrifice as stumbling blocks on the way of a witness. As we all know, we cannot but live without tension between what we are, and what we should be. Almost always, we are faced with one problem or other. But all in all, the tension afford every good Christian an opportunity to grow and to witness for Christ.\n\nRunning Towards the Goal\n(Philippians 3:12-16)\n\nThe experience of Paul here is undoubtedly that of a home stretch. He carefully indicated that he was still very much involved in the race of life. The caution was given because of the spreading influence of the so-called complacent perfectionist within the church at large. That which Paul had not already attained was the experience of complete and final knowledge of his Lord.\n\nBut, however, he defines his goal. God through Christ had delivered us from the power of sin and death into the Kingdom of his dear Son, Jesus Christ.\nIn this study we are going to examined critically some of the fundamental teachings of the Christian message as represented in the Bible.\nHowever, today I shall focus my study on a new person in Christ. This new person is a new nature made possible by the redeeming work of Christ which can neither be bought nor Self-created.\nThe lesson, if closely followed, will surely deepen your faith as we shall know what it means to grow in Christ, the hope of a chrome living a life of contentment.\n\n**Deliverance from sin and death**\n\nBecoming a new person depends upon our receiving anew nature from God. Real deliverance comes through Christ, and there is no condemnation whatsoever for those who are in Him. Those in Christ are not condemned because Christ was condemned in their stead. In the passage we read, both the spirit, Sin and death are called the law because of the constancy of their influence and action. Law here refers to the mosaic law and we can see that God did what the could not do. The word lines is important for it signifies that Christ came in the flesh like ours and was a true man, but not a sinful man. He was free from sin both in nature and in act.\n\nThe flesh refers to men who are living under the control of sin. Sin as a rebellious force against God was condemned in the flesh of Christ in order that the requirements of the law might be fulfilled in us who are walking or living in accordance with the flesh, but in accordance with the spirit. Thus God dealt with sin in the death of His son, so that those in Christ might understand the complete requirements of God as it is expressed in the law.\n\n**WHAT WE WERE IN THE PAST**\n\nIn the whole paragraph, the apostles tells about our salvation by God's grace, showing what we were in the past, what we are now, and what we shall be in the future. The first three years reminds the Ephesians believer of how desperately they once needed God's saving grace. He reminds them that they have been quicken by God since they were dead in trespasses and sins. The death referred to here is not the physical, but the spiritual. There is no limit to the mercy of God. The Bible repeatedly indicate that God's love towards us, not our love towards Him, is the more important. We have been made alive and complete.\n\n**What we shall be in the future**\n\nThe fact that God has made redeemed sinners an eternal object lesson of His grace is amazing but true. In the future, Church is to be an eternal demonstration of the grace of God. God's grace is the source of Our salvation. Faith then becomes channel through which Our salvation comes. Behind every success there's a process. It's good to conceive great things, but it is better to lay it on a plan and get to have it executed. the desire to be successful in life cannot be achieved in mere dreams, it must of a necessity be implemented.\n\nRefused to be discouraged, once you allow discouragement sets in you will give up. Move one step forward. That one step will bring you to limelight. Once you are discouraged, you will blaspheme your God. David is a good example in self encouragement. The scripture says that David faced a daunting challenge of recovering his peoples and their goods from the hands of their captors. At that point, David encourage himself in the Lord and God instructed him to pursue and recover. He obeyed and consequently recovered all. You will recover all your losses in Jesus name.\n\nDo all possible thing to fight all form of anxiety. Never be anxious of anything. Don't mount pressure on people around you. Else they will turn away from you. If you pester them with excessive request, they will block you. the more you pester them the more they will recede from you.\n\nMothers don't pressurize your female children into marriage, they will end up in wrong hands. Don't mount pressure on your destiny helpers,. Be wise. Turn to God, talk him.\n\nThis is the best approach. Paul cautioned all believers saying. John 8:32 says\n\nthen You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.\n\nLife is an adventure but it functions in responsibility. Freedom is enjoyed only when knowledge of the truth is available. The more truth of the scripture you know, the more evidence, victories and supplies you have. You cannot know the scripture and die in confusion.\n\nThe worst thing that can happened to a believer, is to know everything and yet you don't know the scripture written concerning you. Destiny is not fulfilled in the platform of asking people about you, but it can only get fulfilled by searching the Scriptures. It's a tragedy to live a day without a scripture in your spirit man. If you live without a scripture, you will rupture without a future.\n\nYour error in life can only be corrected with adequate knowledge from the scripture. Jesus looked at the Jews and said to them you do err because you do not know the scripture. How do you know the scripture? You study to know and not just to read. The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor.\nThe carpenter said yes,but this time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials.\n\nIt was an unfortunate way to end his career. when the carpenter finished his work and the builder came to inspect the house, the contractor handed the front door key to the carpenter.\n\nThis is your house, he said my gift to you in appreciation for your màny your of valued service. What a shock! What a shame! If he had only know he was building his his own house, he would have done it in all so differently.\n\nNow He had to live in the home he had built not too well, but he only had himself to blame.\n\nSo it is with us. We build our lives in a distracted way, reacting rather than acting, willing to put up less than the best. At important points we do not give the job our best effort. then with a shock we look at situation we have created and find that we are now living in the house we have built. If we had realized that we would have done it differently.\n\nThink of yourself as the carpenter. Think about your house. Each day you hammer a nail, place a board, or erect a wall. Build Wisely. It is the only life you will ever build. Even if you live it for only one day more. That day deserves to be lived graciously and with dignity. The plaque on the wall says, ** life is a doit yourself project** your life tomorrow will be the result of your attitudes and the choices you make today.",

      "body": "![istockphoto-1132753451-170667a.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWEEunuassQYUnQ6GT1ojDQahUt1whavdSryDJFN3FsY5/istockphoto-1132753451-170667a.jpg)\n\nIt is an irony, a contradiction of profession, that a Christian who goes to church to fulfill John 17:3 ( knowing God and Jesus to have eternal life) through studying the Bible, believing and practicing the word of God which is Jesus, the truth ( John 14:6), and proceed to follow Jesus into ALL his truth, become set free by the truth John 8:3, he that doeth the will of my father which is in heaven Matthew 7:21 and qualify to be taken to heaven when Jesus return at his second coming, should rather turn around, dump God and Jesus and his holy desire of preparing this way for the Kingdom of God in order to protect and enjoy the partial Truth practised for most of his life.\n\nWithout realizing it, He permits prophecy in the Bible to be fulfilled in Him. It says, \"He ( satan) will use every kind of wicked deception to fool those who are on their way to destruction because they refuse to believe the truth that would save them. So God will send great deception upon them, and they will believe all these lies. Then they will be condemned for not believing the truth and for enjoying the evil they do\" (2 thesis.2:10-12).\nIt is a pity that church denominations that ought to enhance the truth has shamefully been used by satan to advance error and half truths. God's children now prefer to follow church and not Jesus the absolute truth and through this they build and serve kingdoms of men and not God.\n\n\nThe devil that spoke to Eve through a serpent and bewitched her by lying signs and wonders, is today according to Rev. 12;9 using this method to effectively deceive the whole. He is still causing human beings to twist, change and misrepresent God's word, to replace God's word with their reasoning, and follow their senses. Today the devil's deception is still making human being doubt God's sincerity, distrust or presume on God's goodness, disbelieve God's word and reject His authority. But the faithful, the willing and the obedience shall live by every word of God that will insulate them from deception and make them live for the Kingdom.\n\nChristian who don't love the truth, make fanciful interpretations of Scripture to gratify their curiosity and personal desires They twist scripture to guarantee themselves peace and security which are absolutely vain. This is what God in 2 Tim.4: 3 calls itching ears.\nChristian who like Eve believe it is safe to practice anything in worship or service to God other than >>thus said the Lord, or establish and perform something new no matter how it seems to honour God or regard worship and services to God as a buffet where they have freedom to choose from and pick, should accept this reminder as a timely warning from God. Doing any of the things listed here will once again open our eyes ( another sad opening), make us packaged \" god's\", establishing and knowing good and evil.\n\nBE WARNED",
