      "body": "An Conference and Show Secretary, for any event, is usually the first person the participants will come in contact with. This contact, however, is not where the job starts.\n\nBecoming an exceptional Conference and Show Secretary does not happen overnight; however, through experience and assisting positions the road to excellence can be attained. Occasionally, it is not possible to work up the ladder to success as sometimes the top rung position is attained through an immediate need by the organization or people hosting the event. In either case, it is important to acquire as much information as possible about the proposed event, the stakeholders and participants.\n\nA competent Secretary will start gathering data months in advance to ensure she/he is in a position to fulfill the expected job description outline for the specific circumstance.\n\nShow Secretaries can follow some simple rules to garner recognition of their skills by the stakeholders and organizers of the event. In doing so, it should provide an ongoing future relationship between the two.\n\nLearn about the producers or stakeholders.\nWho are they?\nUsing word of mouth where a smaller event is concerned will be of benefit.\nWhat do they want to achieve from the event?\nLearn as much as you can about the event.\nWhat type of event is it?\nAscertain who will be attending. For example will there be competitors, speakers, corporate and the private sector?\nLocate available historical information about the same previous event on the internet or through media archives.\nAsk the producer for any historical data such as programs, results or other information.\nWhat is the purpose of these attendees?\nWill the event have various levels of competition culminating to a specific outcome?\nIs it a gathering of like-minded individuals who will share their passion in life with each other?\nAre those entering doing so for some sort of recognitions such as at a fall fair or dance competition?\nAt all times, be professional in your inquiries.\nAt all times, be organized and on time for meetings.\nIs there a job description in place for the position?\nIs there a communication plan in place that outlines the chain of command?\nIs there specific time lines that need to be adhered to in completing specific tasks?\nIf a communication out line or time line is not available, show initiative and create one for reference.       "body": "Research has shown that adhering to a healthy diet that is low in processed foods reduces the risk of health conditions, including cardiovascular disease and cancer.\nHowever, there is growing scientific evidence that dietary factors may also affect mental health.\nFor instance, studies have found associations between the Mediterranean diet and a lower risk of depression.\nIn contrast, there is some evidence that lower quality diets are linked to increased risk of depression. However, this association is still up for debate.\n\nA fresh look\nTo investigate the role of the diet in mental health, researchers from Binghamton University and Stony Brook University, both in New York, conducted an online survey of more than 2,600 participants from North America, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and Asia.\nIn this article, we will tackle these concerns head on.\n\n\nThe survey spanned 5 years and included 1,147 young women, 628 mature women, 641 young men, and 207 mature men. For the purposes of the study, the researchers defined young as being between the ages of 18 and 29 years, while the mature participants were aged 30 years or over.\nThe study appears in the journal Nutrients.\nInvolvement in the survey was voluntary. The researchers also found negative mental health associations with high caffeine intake and moderate-to-high fast food consumption.\nThey also found that eating breakfast frequently and engaging in higher levels of exercise were linked to improved mental well-being among young women.\nIn contrast, for mature women, consuming breakfast frequently was linked to a higher rate of mental distress. However, as with young women, frequent exercise appeared to have a positive effect on well-being in mature women.\nAdditionally, mature women living in Asia or the MENA region reported more significant mental distress compared with those residing in North America.\nYoung men reported enhanced well-being in relation to frequent exercise, moderate consumption of dairy, and moderate-to-high meat intake. Conversely, high fast food and caffeine intake were both associated with poorer mental well-being.\nAs with mature women, mature men had a higher chance of mental distress if they lived in the MENA region. Higher education levels and moderate consumption of nuts were associated with positive mental health in mature men.\nCustomizing diets\nAccording to study coauthor Lina Begdache, Ph.D., an assistant professor of health and wellness studies at Binghamton University, scientists need to consider differences in brain maturity between young and mature adults.\nShe explains: “Young adults are still forming new connections between brain cells, as well as building structures; therefore, they need more energy and nutrients to do that.”\nTaking age into consideration, she believes, will help us understand how diet and other factors play a role in mental health.\n“We need to consider a spectrum of dietary and lifestyle changes based on different age groups and [sexes]. There is not one healthy diet that will work for everyone. There is not one fix.”\n– Lina Begdache, Ph.D.\nBegdache explains that there are critical differences in brain morphology and connectivity between men and women. Throughout her research, she has found that diet is less likely to affect men than women.\nMen who adhere to even a “slightly healthy” diet tend to report good mental well-being, she explains. However, when their diet consists mostly of fast food, mental distress becomes more likely.\nImplications of the findings\nThis study provides insight into the associations between diet, geographical regions, and exercise in people of different ages and sexes. However, limitations include the study’s cross-sectional nature, the nonrandom sampling, and the smaller sample size of mature men.\nAs most dietary research focuses on the relationship between diet and physical health, Begdache hopes that these findings will promote more research into the role that diet plays in mental well-being.",

      "body": "With all the hype surrounding under-display cameras, ZTE debuted the first commercially available smartphone with the new tech on its Axon 20 5G last year. Now, ZTE is giving us another look at its second gen attempt from MWC Shanghai. The brand’s official Weibo account shared two posts detailing the screen of what we assume will be the Axon 30 Pro.\n\n\nAccording to the post, the pixels density above the UD camera have been increased twice and now reaches 400ppi making for a more consistent appearance of the panel. In addition, the entire panel now supports a 120Hz refresh rate, up from the 90Hz on the Axon 20. The accompanying photo showing a ZTE prototype with its second-gen UD camera though we cannot exactly make out the area above the sensor as the quality of the image itself is not that great.\n\nIn a separate post, we get a teaser look at another new feature coming on the Axon 30 Pro – the first under-screen 3D structured light technology. This will allow for 3D face and object scanning for unlocking the phone and verifying payments. It can also be used for AR and 3D modeling apps.
