This piece is made up of a pool made of rectangular granite of shallow depth where a stable water level is maintained, which comes from two towers of 15 meters high located at each end, covered by a wall of LEDs on which multiple faces of citizens of different races and cultures of Chicago are projected.\n\nHoy les hablare sobre dos obras que a mi parecer destacan entre la inmensa producción de trabajos de este artista, la primera se llama \"The Crown Fountain\" y se trata de una pieza multidisciplinaria que une el arte público con la video-escultura y esta ubicada en el Parque Milenio en Chicago en Estados Unidos. Helens - England in 2009, El Sueño unveils the face of a girl with closed eyes who is shown in an absent but present state, elevated to 20 meters in height is appreciated in the middle of a green landscape that in its antiquity was part of the mining exploitation of the region, the piece pays tribute to both the workers of the Sutton Manor mine and the children and their role as part of the future, of dreams and hopes.\n\nOtra de las obras que les hablare se llama El Sueño, esta es una majestuosa pieza de arte público que está ubicada en en St. Helens – Inglaterra realizada en el año 2009, El Sueño nos devela el rostro de una niña de ojos cerrados que se muestra en estado ausente pero presente, elevado a 20 metros de altura se aprecia en medio de un paisaje verde que en su antigüedad formaba parte de la explotacion minera de la region, la pieza rinde homenaje tanto como a los trabajadores de la mina de Sutton Manor como a los niños y su rol como parte del futuro, de los sueños y esperanzas.\n\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmVkXGmPGQ5zH9YrpFgjqg2sqPGjWNqEow1MXA4TDSHjag/image.png)\n\nThe immensity of this work lies in the discourse of symbolization of the man always present in Plensa's sculptural pieces, and how he carries the traditional form of large-scale sculptural portrait, integrating the piece with space and people. Appropriating the face of a nine-year-old girl named Ana, Plensa captures and presents the subtlety and serenity that this great sculptural portrait shows us, which is present with her eyes closed as if she were dreaming. \n\nLa inmensidad de este trabajo recae en el discurso de simbolización del hombre siempre presente en las piezas escultóricas de Plensa, y como él lleva la tradicional forma de retrato escultórico a gran escala, integrando la pieza con el espacio y las personas. St. Helens, located near Liverpool, is a mining community with strong ties to its coal roots. The main intention of this piece is based on paying homage to the community that for many years worked in the mining industry in the area. Using the portrait of a girl, Plensa achieves a work that connects with the people and their history, where the inhabitants feel optimistic about the presence of a great face that dreams, which remembers not only a past, but a future, and not their own but that of the surrounding community.  \n\nEsta pieza fue realizada por medio de un proyecto de arte con el Consejo de Artes de Inglaterra, la localidad de St. Helens ubicada en las cercanías de Liverpool es una comunidad minera que conserva fuertes lazos con sus raíces de carbón.
