body	Yeah, gaming can have positive effects on people's lives and it can have negative effects or have very little effect either way and simply just be a leisure activity that doesn't reach the point of having much effect at all. People treat it like it's black and white but it's not. The idea of things having to be productive and things being pointless hobbies that you reference to me never made sense. Productivity is good but you're not supposed to be trying to be productive all the time. Leisure time should be spent doing what you want to do. All of us need leisure time and not to always be trying to be productive (we should be productive if we want to be, but not do it because we "should"). For some of us, we need it a lot and we need it in order to be productive. If I don't have time to engage with my special interests (some of which are productive and some of which are not) I become less productive and start to get depressed. I've seen that pattern multiple times. It also helps me cope if I'm struggling with other things. For gaming specifically, there's nothing wrong with gaming as a hobby. Certain criticisms of gaming are justified but most of it isn't and is based on not understanding it (nor understanding how we got here - ie the similarity between video gaming and other gaming or even sports). Individual games sometimes cop it because people don't understand it or see one thing from it and think that's the whole game too but that's a different issue again. It's even more active than video gaming used to be. I've got a Wii I basically only use for Wii Fit Plus but we also got a second hand Oculus recently and I've been enjoying using it for exer-gaming. Gorn's a lot of fun. As for transferrable skills, the transferrable skills from gaming are actually quite vast, including stuff like decision making skills as was mentioned in the article you linked. It goes beyond people even though. AI's that were trained to play Dota2 have now trained a robotic hand to handle objects. This is fascinating as I thought teaching them to play games was for us to learn from the programs we wrote in order to apply that to other things or to actually be AI's in video games (depending on the situation) because most AI's I had seen tended to get great at one thing so I thought they really only are suited to do one thing, but these AI's transferred their knowledge from the game to a new task, which is pretty impressive really. I thought I'd share that because that's impressive and also just very interesting. I feel this also supports the idea of leisure activities and hobbies developing transferable skills because ofc a person can develop transferable skills from a game if an AI can. AI's are different to us, and can be better than us in some areas when trained well, but we are typically better at transferring skills from one situation to another, so if an AI can, ofc we're doing it.

As a matter of fact, the influence of societal “norms” in this fast living day and age has become so common that it tends to get individuals, especially from the young age groups, into unhealthy and unproductive loops that are later on hard to escape from. Usually what occurs is that the concept of “I am supposed to do that” takes hold of one’s mindset. This in return leads to people undermining their own <strong>abilities, dreams and goals</strong> as it subconsciously sets a limit that one is “forbidden” to cross. As a result, many highly intellectual and ambitious groups out there tend to restrict themselves to what society tells them is right and therefore never dare to experiment and actually go after what they want with their lives. <br> </p> <p>Well, you might be surprised to learn that the <strong>reality</strong> in many cases is much more different than what <strong>society</strong> portrays it as. There are never going to be 100% right things to do as everyone’s judgement of right and wrong is subjective. The matter of fact in this case is that you should always go after what you truly want and commit yourself to it rather than getting influenced by what society thinks. If gaming is something you have a passion for, if it is a hobby that makes you feel fulfilled and happy with who you are and where you want to be then you should absolutely go after it. That’s when you’ll definitely realize that “<strong>the devil is not as black as he is painted</strong>”. Science has already proven in numerous research inquiries that whenever an individual engages in an activity that makes them feel proud and confident with who they are, their self-esteem takes a rise. body	<html> <p>Usually, it is rather simple for us to label games as just tools of entertainment. What causes us to get such an idea and portray them in this manner is typically the feeling of gratification and pleasure they unleash upon us once we start interacting with the game. We, therefore, tend to focus all our attention to the immediate concept that is inside the game itself. However, this causes us to often fail to ask ourselves questions about the origins and trademarks of the game and while this wouldn’t affect our in-game experiences, it could certainly provide us with valuable insights about key contributors such as the authors and the publishers. This, in return, would not only help us gather more awareness about the source of the production, but also enable us to expand our overall knowledge about the gaming industry.</p> <p><br></p> <p>As a result, it is only fair that we issue our supporters some relevant information linked to this exact attribute of the broad gaming scope. As a first step let’s clarify what copyright is and that’s “a protection of intellectual Property that gives exclusive rights to the author(s) of a creative work”. This intellectual stance poses some evident logical limitations when understanding the active participation needed by players for such intellectual Property to exist and survive. By relating this to the gaming industry, we can observe that in recent years the ownership of copyright rights has been gradually transitioning from developers to actual publishers. Thus creating another loop hole in the logic behind “Author(s) Rights”. This has occurred mostly due to the emergence of digital distribution platforms such as steam which reduces costs for developers to sell their product.</p> <p><img src="https://miro.medium.com/max/1100/1*2wqHxFFJvSQbmPcXdhfVrQ.jpeg"/></p> <p>Historically speaking, the two main intellectual property international treaties that deal with protection of video game rights are The Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works as well as The Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights. While both treaties aim to ensure that compliance with digital copyright laws is strictly kept, the dilemma arises amid the claims that a video games section doesn’t exist on its own, but instead relies on pre-existing categories. An example of such an instance can be given by addressing the Indian Copyright Act as it doesn’t address video games specifically. This has consequently left the public wonder which components of a video game fall under the protection law and which are being excluded.  Commonly, the 4 such attributes that are put into a debate are: </p> <p><br></p> <p>- Common assets (borrowing assets that could be used in-game)</p> <p><br></p> <p>- Game engines(software suites such as audio engine and AI – these ultimately cause certain features to be identical for all games which undermines copyright effectiveness)</p> <p><br></p> <p>- Producers/Developers interaction(platforms such as Kickstarter and Steam have come to the scene and acquired intellectual rights from developers)</p> <p><br></p> <p>- User input(even though many types of user interactions such as live broadcasts could boost marketing, some developers and publishers have taken an extra step to restrict this practice)</p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p> <p>Now, after we’ve analyzed the most crucial aspects of the gaming copyrights framework, it is time to familiarize everyone with the approaches we’ve lined up as a way to minimize occurring violations not only in the gaming field, but more so – on a global scale. The first question we have to ask ourselves in such a case is “What causes game users to violate copyrights?”. According to our observations, price is a key factor that plays a big role in that as it causes an incentive for reselling without a license. Affordable games tend to be less targeted by copyright violations as well as games that offer strong multiplayer activity. Orionix believes that by extending the rights of players, video game publishers will not suffer losses from self-regulating and applying digital liberalization, but will gain greatly by allowing gamers to trade their virtual assets freely.</p> <p>That is why we’ve decided to finally introduce a solution that will emancipate these rights while cutting all the fees involved from which too many actors profit from for no rational reason.</p> <p>Furthermore, we wish to inform you that the journey of Orionix to seek stable, reliable partnerships is still in its tracks as we are determined to achieve our vision of tomorrow's gaming era through the use of cryptocurrency.       "body": "<html>\n<p>Usually, it is rather simple for us to label games as just tools of entertainment. What causes us to get such an idea and portray them in this manner is typically the feeling of gratification and pleasure they unleash upon us once we start interacting with the game. We, therefore, tend to focus all our attention to the immediate concept that is inside the game itself. However, this causes us to often fail to ask ourselves questions about the origins and trademarks of the game and while this wouldn’t affect our in-game experiences, it could certainly provide us with valuable insights about key contributors such as the authors and the publishers. This, in return, would not only help us gather more awareness about the source of the production, but also enable us to expand our overall knowledge about the gaming industry.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>As a result, it is only fair that we issue our supporters some relevant information linked to this exact attribute of the broad gaming scope. As a first step let’s clarify what copyright is and that’s “a protection of intellectual Property that gives exclusive rights to the author(s) of a creative work”. This intellectual stance poses some evident logical limitations when understanding the active participation needed by players for such intellectual Property to exist and survive. By relating this to the gaming industry, we can observe that in recent years the ownership of copyright rights has been gradually transitioning from developers to actual publishers. Thus creating another loop hole in the logic behind “Author(s) Rights”. This has occurred mostly due to the emergence of digital distribution platforms such as steam which reduces costs for developers to sell their product.</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://miro.medium.com/max/1100/1*2wqHxFFJvSQbmPcXdhfVrQ.jpeg\"/></p>\n<p>Historically speaking, the two main intellectual property international treaties that deal with protection of video game rights are The Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works as well as The Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights. While both treaties aim to ensure that compliance with digital copyright laws is strictly kept, the dilemma arises amid the claims that a video games section doesn’t exist on its own, but instead relies on pre-existing categories. An example of such an instance can be given by addressing the Indian Copyright Act as it doesn’t address video games specifically. This has consequently left the public wonder which components of a video game fall under the protection law and which are being excluded. &nbsp;Commonly, the 4 such attributes that are put into a debate are:&nbsp;</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>- Common assets (borrowing assets that could be used in-game)</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>- Game engines(software suites such as audio engine and AI – these ultimately cause certain features to be identical for all games which undermines copyright effectiveness)</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>- Producers/Developers interaction(platforms such as Kickstarter and Steam have come to the scene and acquired intellectual rights from developers)</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>- User input(even though many types of user interactions such as live broadcasts could boost marketing, some developers and publishers have taken an extra step to restrict this practice)</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Now, after we’ve analyzed the most crucial aspects of the gaming copyrights framework, it is time to familiarize everyone with the approaches we’ve lined up as a way to minimize occurring violations not only in the gaming field, but more so – on a global scale. The first question we have to ask ourselves in such a case is “What causes game users to violate copyrights?”. According to our observations, price is a key factor that plays a big role in that as it causes an incentive for reselling without a license. Affordable games tend to be less targeted by copyright violations as well as games that offer strong multiplayer activity. Of course since then, many have lost money in  shady projects. Cryptocurrency is a wave and proportionally to people  still employing cash around the world, the size of that wave has only  started growing. The reality behind that statement is that it is still  time for many investors to be like those first Bitcoin enthusiasts. The  sea might seem like a dangerous place, but most of that fear is  generated in our own minds. Basic rights might be ignored or crushed depending on the severity of the governing agents, but those repressive tactics can only occur because people are physically gathered together. Power has gained an enormous control over what is considered « the real world ». That control is nonetheless abysmal in the digital world. Anyone sitting behind their desk can impact an economical asset of an entire country – as long as many agree on a P2P mobilization. Calls for actions on Social Media is the illustration of that logic. By simply denying the use of a service such as Google, a super power could suffer serious financial consequences. Let alone if that denial of service targeted other major companies such as Youtube, Twitter and Facebook. These might seem like unreachable titans, but the reality of the matter is that they are simply leeching off of their users data and attention to survive. They are tools that are easily replaceable by other tools using the same concepts. <br> <br> These collective actions have been seen in the gaming industry. EA, one of the major gaming titans out there, lost to a boycotting campaign and suffered significant loses because they abused of vulturing digital « Loot Boxes » tropes in Star Wars Battlefront II. Since then, EA shares have been plummeting. Some could say there are many reasons behind this situation, but it can be summarized by the result of losing the public's trust and abusing their users for so long that enough was enough. At first,  we were skeptical on following this route. The reason is quite simple,  Orionix’s team started this project by wishing to apply a P2P logic to  our decisions. ICO was henceforth the preferred option for our project  to gather the funds necessary for our development amongst investors with  a keen eye for long-term applicable ideas.<br> <br> As  time went by, our team had to recognize that the overall public had  grown weary of ICO projects in general. Many of them had fallen prey to  bogus cryptocurrencies. As we understood the severity of this situation,  we had to adapt to the demand. From there we pursued to honor our  commitment by seeking IEO partnerships and we studied numerous offers.<br> <br> Orionix’s  financial division gave their fair opinion on some of these  possibilities as we discarded some and further negotiated with others.  Finally, we were able to begin serious negotiations with an Exchange  that responded to all our criteria. Shortex placed a lot of value on  communication, just as we did and during that period they were  particularly helpful in responding to our many questions.
