For anyone aiming or seeking success, such individual has to embrace self-discipline intentionally and consciously. It is the pill that every successful individual can never joke with. They know is the life wire of any grown or growing business empire.\n\n<h3><b>What is Self-discipline?</h3></b>\n<i>a. it is the ability to get you into taking actions regardless of the emotional state or set rules. i.e. it helps to control one's feelings and overcome weaknesses.</i>\n\n<i>b. It also brings about the attitude and mentality of excellence i.e. it bring out the best in an individual. </i>\n\n<i>c. It makes intentions to come into manifestation i.e. the acts of being self-disciplined naturally gives you the willpower to dominate negative behaviors like procrastination, ignorance, disorder and many others. </i>\n\n<i>d. There is a need to make internal commitment to them.\nThere is a need to stop pressing the SNOOZE button every 5 minutes and wake up to follow the decision to the end.\n<i><b> If you are struggling with keeping some of your commitment, start again by making a conscious decision to follow through on what you said you are going to do. Be honest with yourself and execute it.</i></b>\n\n<h3> d. Courage</h3>\n Self-discipline is often extremely difficult to follow all through, but it is highly dependent on COURAGE. Don’t pretend something is easy for you to do when it is in fact very difficult and painful to achieve. Instead find courage to face the pain and the difficult. So, be intentional about disciplining yourself in order to achieve more.\n\nLet the people around knows what you will do in any circumstances even when you not there. A principled man is disciplined man because the acts of self-discipline is a principle on it own. If you ask this question from different people of different backgrounds. You should be ready to receive all kinds of interesting answers like: \n-\tmy parent are poor because I wasn't born with a silver spoon <b>(well some of us are not even born with any spoon)</b> \n\n-\tI came from a very poor background <b>(does that mean you should remain on the ground?)</b>\n\n-\t I never had the opportunity of attending a good school and that affected so many things in my life <b>(some people did not even go to school, they had to read at home to write examinations)</b>\n\n-\tMy father did not leave any inheritance for me before he died <b>(some people don’t even know their father)</b> and many other reasons and excuses given by people. \n\n<blockquote>Does the above mentioned excuses enough reason to be poor?</blockquote> Now, in the real sense of it are we meant to be POOR? We all exist in order to choose how we want to live our lives either as a poor person or a wealthy person, that is, it’s an option that everyone is giving the opportunity to choose from. It is a mindset and it can be corrected to anyone’s advantage.\n\nA lot of people are poor or live in poverty because they chose to be poor due to various actions and decisions taken by them either in the past or in the present.  They are the architect of their own destiny. Simply put, they are the determining factor of their own present condition. \n\nPeople are in poverty due to the following reason;\n\n<b>1. IGNORANCE</b>; that is, the condition being unknowledgeable, uneducated, uninformed, crude, foolish, short minded etc. When someone lacks the right information on what to do to reach a certain level of achievement in life endeavor. Ignorance will always increase poverty.\n\n<b>2. DISOBEDIENCE</b>; acts of not obeying an instruction or order. When you are giving a benefiting instruction and you refuse to follow it. There are things or situations that require strict obedience before success can be achieved. So when you do otherwise then expect failure and that can lead to poverty. \n\nYou cannot afford not to give attention to details of you want to succeed and live above poverty.\n\n<b>3. INACTION AND UNWILLINGNESS TO TRY</b>; an act of not taking action as at when required, and refusal to take a shot at an opportunity. But in those years mentioned, have taken all kinds of decisions some in haste and some after doing proper critical thinking.\nThough as a young man venturing into the field of sales, I never knew I could be this good and successful because I thought some individuals are born to do some certain kind of job. \n\nA senior colleague that I met during the early stage of my sales career once told me that, if I really want to succeed in this business of selling INSURANCE especially in a society like ours, then I must be ready to guide against the attitude (virus) called PROCRASTINATION. Having a scale of preference will help in this situation. That should be the first thing to do.\n\nIn conclusion, all the symptoms of procrastination mentioned are all curable and can be corrected. But it is very important to know all this symptoms in order to guide against them in the nearest future. Remember that one of ways to succeed in any particular task is to guide against negative attitude.\n\n So, what should be action plan now?
