| body | ## The Spiritual Purpose of Fear <br>  Every moment of life is a “prayer”. You are praying even when you don’t know you’re praying. To “pray” may be understood as a “Means to place conscious attention somewhere”. The focus of the mind, your attention, is your prayer in each and every instant. In an Enlightened state, every breath is a prayer to God, to the vibration of total acceptance, deep gratitude, infinite joy, and unconditional Love. However, is it not the case that most people spend just a little time praying to God, and quite a lot of time in “prayer” to fear? I can attest to you that prayer is indeed powerful, and prayers of gratitude, happiness, abundance, and joy to God are indeed answered in kind. Likewise, so are prayers to fear. Prayers to ideas of fear, attention on fear and suffering, attracts and manifests the very experiences the conscious presence has fixated upon. To pray to fear is to give fearful ideas energy. All manifestations of this world are simply energy; when unmanifested ideas are given enough energy, they manifest into form, into matter, and into actual experience. Your attention attracts, manifests, your reality. So what is the spiritual purpose of fear, and the subsequent manifestations of suffering it produces? This question provides a context for your Divine life purpose. You are a manifestation of the Divine, a slice of God, on a return path to the full remembrance of your Divine self. Every experience of fear and suffering is simply a remembrance of how to choose rightly, which is to say: How to choose God and choose the highest manifestation of the Divine Self, the realization of the True Self. When the conscious presence chooses fear, prays to fear, that energy manifests life experiences that reflect a commensurate amount of suffering. Understand that you are the creator of ALL through the power of the conscious presence. When you fixate on fear, you choose fear, and therefore produce experiences and manifestations of fear, which is to create manifestations of suffering. The spiritual purpose of fear in this world is to remember how to choose right-mindedness, to create with the mind of the Divine, rather than the mind of the ego, the mind of fear and separation. Right-choosing is to remember your Divine Truth through the transcendence of duality: You are not fear, you are not suffering, you are Love, you are Happiness, you are Divine! The current state of collective human consciousness however often fails to recognize the power of thought: Many still do not understand that thoughts of fear, and their actions to create security from fear, actually manifest the experiences they fear most. For example, if you are fearful of another country invading the borders of your country, and you create an army to defend it out of fear, you will have given power to the thought of invasion and war. In fact, the creation of armies out of fear is precisely why the horrors and suffering of war exists at all! Without fear, there are no borders, there are no armies, and there are no wars. It is fear, and fear alone, that results in the manifestation of this form of suffering. God’s Will is for all Humans to Release All Fears! While this process of eventual freedom from fear is inevitable, it must be voluntary. Humans will remember, and reclaim, their Divine state, but the only remaining question is: How long will you take? How much more suffering will you create before learning to choose rightly? Your natural and Divine state is one of total joy and freedom from suffering. The process of transcendence, Enlightenment, is to release any and all fears, to release any and all aversions, to come into perfect forgiveness, acceptance of all that is, to allow every breath to be a prayer to the joyful thought of God, rather than to the supplication of fear. Prayers to fear manifest the realm of hell on Earth. Prayers to joy, to Love, to God, manifest the realm of Heaven on Earth. Humans have the power of free will to manifest whichever realm they choose, but why choose less than Heaven? |

| title | Memorial Day Perspective: The Holy Warrior would win the heart of his enemy rather than pierce it |
| body |  For my brothers and sister in the USA, this Memorial Day is intended to be a day of mourning for those killed defending the American borders and the American way of life. Beyond mourning, it is also an opportunity for a reflection on war, nationalism, and the collective state of human consciousness. I am not the first to say that there is no “just” war, and this is true. War is indeed pointless; it cannot be “won”, and the only “loss” in war is to perceive any brother, sister, or any of God’s creation as separate from ourselves. No war can be “won” and to enable the ego with any concept of “sides” is the only loss. In physical war, suffering is only inflicted from one ego onto another ego, and the tragedy is that the ego cannot understand that by inflicting horror on another, it is literally performing and suffering that act upon itself. Soldiers in the act of combat have both “lost” God, inflicting suffering only on themselves on behalf of an ego that is not even their own. Indeed there is a Divine war, or better described as a “process”, being waged on this planet that most can scarcely comprehend, but it has nothing to do with countries, land, money, or possessions. It is the “war” over human consciousness: The human ego, the entity of fear, separation, and suffering versus God, the Divine Consciousness, the vibration of peace, unconditional love, and unity that all humans are capable of embracing. Being in union with God is the only way to “win” the war of this world and it is the only battle worth fighting. The beauty however, is that the battle is won when the struggle itself is released! Even though the numbers are set against us in bodies presently, I am still quite certain that not only is victory over the ego coming, but it is inevitable, one way or another. It is impossible for God to fail at Its own process to come into full remembrance of Itself so It can bring Heaven on Earth. The only question is time and the duration of the “war” is dependent on the ego’s willingness to stop fighting, to simply surrender and abide in God’s perfect peace. Thankfully God is patient, loving, and kind, but humans have inflicted so much suffering on each other and on God’s creation that God has created new processes, systems, and has aligned Enlightened humans in service to Its cause. I am one such being in service to sharing of God’s message, a yogi, a sadhu, one who sees no countries, one who sees God in all things, all religions, all colors, and all creeds. I have no stake in any outcomes of this world, other than to be in loving service to the One who guides me and for this I am rewarded in places beyond this world. I can say with complete certainty: It is not God’s Truth to recognize human borders, governments, politicians, and countries. It is said that the United States is a “Nation Under God”, which is impossible because the concept of a nation itself is separation from God, an attempt for humans to claim what does not belong to them, to keep it for some and not for all. Understand that God’s land is God’s creation, and likewise all God’s creatures are also God’s creation also belong to God. Why would the human ego withhold any of God’s creation from any being that God made? We of course know the answer: Fear, which is indeed the manifestation of the antichrist, darkness, illusion, the demon. Understand that all beings are God’s creation and all land belongs to all God’s sons and daughters, indeed all creatures, for all of them to enjoy peacefully and equally. It is the Divine birthright of every being to behold, honor, and experience all of God’s creation in perfect love and peace. Nothing of this world needs to be defended because nothing can be truly owned. The concept of a country is an attempt of the ego to withhold God from Itself, and deny the very Divine birthright that was freely given by God to all. Humans, in Truth, own nothing. God owns all, but everything was given as a blessing for all, not for just some. Understand that the “war” of the Divine Self is lost when an ego would give power to an external mental position to control a body, for example: A government commands a soldier to harm someone or defend something in the name of creed or country. This is an abdication of the Divine self, allowing the body to be used for the purposes of ego, rather than the purposes of God. Do not give any ego the power to control the Divine self! This is your highest duty, your highest calling, to maintain your Divinity even when a government may command you to act in opposition to God’s Will. Sovereign, Divine, and Enlightened beings are egoless and incapable performing such acts of war. We recognize insanity and ignorance in such requests, and would simply not give any power to them. The horrors of war would be impossible without manipulation of the ego. If every human simply ignored the egoic desires of the powerful few, wars, countries, scarcity, and lack of any kind would simply vanish as there would be no belief in the power of illusions. One needs only release fear and embrace Divine sovereignty, which resists attempts at control from any ego of this world. This is why I have dedicated my life to showing the way to Enlightenment: It is the solution to all human problems. There is more than enough food, money, technology, and infrastructure to bring Heaven on Earth and an end to all wars and conflicts. It is only fear that stands in the way of perfect salvation for us all. God bless you on your journey to acceptance of God’s perfect peace. Let us extend forgiveness to all who lived and died by the sword, in any land, under any government, and commit our Divine consciousness to the release of all conflict as we manifest a better world through complete unity. Amen. |

It is said that the United States is a “Nation Under God”, which is impossible because the concept of a nation itself is separation from God, an attempt for humans to claim what does not belong to them, to keep it for some and not for all. \n\nUnderstand that God’s land is God’s creation, and likewise all God’s creatures are also God’s creation also belong to God. Why would the human ego withhold any of God’s creation from any being that God made? We of course know the answer: Fear, which is indeed the manifestation of the antichrist, darkness, illusion, the demon. \n\nUnderstand that all beings are God’s creation and all land belongs to all God’s sons and daughters, indeed all creatures, for all of them to enjoy peacefully and equally. It is the Divine birthright of every being to behold, honor, and experience all of God’s creation in perfect love and peace. Nothing of this world needs to be defended because nothing can be truly owned. The concept of a country is an attempt of the ego to withhold God from Itself, and deny the very Divine birthright that was freely given by God to all. Humans, in Truth, own nothing. God owns all, but everything was given as a blessing for all, not for just some.\n\nUnderstand that the “war” of the Divine Self is lost when an ego would give power to an external mental position to control a body, for example: A government commands a soldier to harm someone or defend something in the name of creed or country. This is an abdication of the Divine self, allowing the body to be used for the purposes of ego, rather than the purposes of God. Do not give any ego the power to control the Divine self! This is your highest duty, your highest calling, to maintain your Divinity even when a government may command you to act in opposition to God’s Will.\n\nSovereign, Divine, and Enlightened beings are egoless and incapable performing such acts of war. We recognize insanity and ignorance in such requests, and would simply not give any power to them. The horrors of war would be impossible without manipulation of the ego. \n\nIf every human simply ignored the egoic desires of the powerful few, wars, countries, scarcity, and lack of any kind would simply vanish as there would be no belief in the power of illusions. One needs only release fear and embrace Divine sovereignty, which resists attempts at control from any ego of this world.\n\nThis is why I have dedicated my life to showing the way to Enlightenment: It is the solution to all human problems. There is more than enough food, money, technology, and infrastructure to bring Heaven on Earth and an end to all wars and conflicts. It is only fear that stands in the way of perfect salvation for us all.\n\nGod bless you on your journey to acceptance of God’s perfect peace. Let us extend forgiveness to all who lived and died by the sword, in any land, under any government, and commit our Divine consciousness to the release of all conflict as we manifest a better world through complete unity.\n\nAmen.",

Grasp opposite elbows with opposite hands and open the heart as the shoulders stretch behind the back. Find a bend in the lower back and release the head back while pressing the hips forward to find even more curvature in the spine. ### Level 2: Supported Standing Backbend  Step the feet hip distance apart. Place the palms on the hamstrings and walk the hands down the thighs. Press the hips forward and squeeze into the glutes. Open the heart, release the head, and find an even deeper backbend as the palms descend even lower onto the legs. ### Level 3: Full Standing Backbend  Step the feet hip distance apart. Extend the arms out in front and bring the fingers to temple mudra with the index fingers joined together. Bend the knees at first and press the pelvis forward as the legs extend to straight. Squeeze the glutes and bend deeply into the back as the arms extend overhead. Bring the hands to heart center and return to standing.. ### Level 4: Backbend Dropback  Step the feet slightly wider than hip distance apart. Bend the knees.  With a single fluid motion, simultaneously bring the arms out to the sides, press forward into the hips, and bend the back deeply.   As the head descends behind, keep moving the arms out to the sides and above the head as the fingers, then the palms rest on the mat above the head.  Once the palms rest on the mat, release the head down and bring the gaze of the eyes to the ground. Keep pressing up into the hips to achieve a deeper stretch.  Raise onto the toes, press the hips up, and extend the legs towards straight to receive an even deeper expanse into the back stretch. ### Level 5: Return to Standing  In my body, I require an adjustment to create enough space to rise back up. I turn the toes to 45 degrees and widen the legs even more. Walk the hands towards the feet, bend the legs and move the knees in front of the hips. You may bend the arms and give a slight spring through the arms as the body rises and returns to standing. |

The video also shows a transition to rooster arm balance and the press back to handstand. ## How to Do It  From standing forward bend, shift the weight of the body forward, hug into the core, and allow the legs to raise up to handstand.  From handstand, keep the feet slightly back from vertical, and very slowly begin to bend the elbows as you maintain a single line of energy from the crown of the head to the feet.  It's essential to remain very calm as the head lowers slowly. Absolutely do not allow the head to collapse rapidly, and it's most comfortable to land the head on sand or a folded blanket. As the head lowers, make sure to land on the very crown of the head. I like to imagine landing so slowly, much like a rocket using thrusters to touch down without any abrupt shock whatsoever.  Once the body is in tripod headstand, take 3-5 breaths. Make sure the elbows are at 90 degrees and inline with the shoulders. Shift the weight all the way to the crown of the head.  As an additional challenge, you may bring the legs into full lotus pose and slowly lower the knees to the upper armpits.  Hug the knees in strongly to the armpits as you begin to shift the weight backwards, as the crown of the head begins to lift off the mat.  As the head lifts off the mat, extend through the arms vigorously. This is both an arm strengthening pose as well as a deep hip stretch.  From there, allow the knees to release through the arms as you hug into the core and extend your full lotus into the air.  Release the legs back to a handstand pose and slowly lower the legs back to a standing forward bend.  Return to a standing pose and finish your sequence with a blessing to the sky.  |

In the practice of yoga, I prefer to use slow, steady, and graceful movements, rather than more abrupt motions. The press is an evolution over a kick-up or jump up and I will offer the steps to progress towards this motion in this tutorial. ### Warm Up One of the most important aspects of the press is to ensure that the shoulders are in front of the wrists. To achieve this, it’s absolutely essential to cultivate flexibility in the fingers and wrists.  Place both sets of hands facing backwards towards the knees and make a circular motion with the body. Move in clockwise circles for 5-10 repetitions and counterclockwise circles for 5-10 repetitions.  Next, sit the pelvis back towards the heels and allow the palms to rise up off the mat. Turn the pits of the elbows forward as you stretch deeply into the hands and fingers.  Another important exercise to achieving a graceful press is to warm up the hamstrings with a forward bend. It’s interesting to note that hamstring flexibility is essential for the press because the feet must be close to the hands for the weight to shift forward so the feet can gracefully leave the ground. Come to a long spine and flat back as you stretch into the hamstrings, meanwhile also stretching through the forearms wrists by turning the fingers back to face the toes.  Now stretch through the top of the wrists by placing the palms of the hands under the feet. You may bend the knees if the hamstrings are tight. Bend the elbows and release the elbows back toward the shins; this will help stretch more deeply into the cartilage of the wrists. ### Preparing for the Press  Next, turn the fingers forward and bring the shoulders in front of the wrists. Raise the heels up and use the pressure on the balls of the feet to rock the weight forward and back, becoming lighter and lighter on the feet. Experiment with pulling up and in to the core of the body and allow the feet to rise up off the mat completely, finding 1-2 seconds with the feet rising off the ground. For beginners, simply repeat this motion again and again to strengthen the core and build strength in the arms. Simply performing this motion is a very good exercise. ### Moving into the Press  As the strength in the core and arms grows, you will eventually use the muscles of the abdomen and lower back to lift the legs in a slow and deliberate way. There’s immense joy in the control of a slow and steady movement, and savor the entire journey into the fuller expression of handstand.  Eventually the legs will straighten completely. Find the lightness in the pose. When you’ve mastered the balance, the body will feel light and free. There will be no shaking of the arms or tension. You will learn to shift the weight into the fingers and back into the palms as the dynamics of maintaining the pose requires. There is subtle mastery to be found in using micro-adjustments of the balance as the weight shifts around the hands. Stay present and remain focused on the maintenance of slow and steady breath. |
