| title | THE STORY OF MY LIFE: Episode 2 |
| body | . . attended Offa Grammar School for my secondary education and by the time i finished my secondary school, i already finish my haflat shahada (Equivalent to secondary education) in my Arabic school and people has started calling me Alfa because of my character and mode of dressing. Need to say here that my or our way of living is like the ulamah (Alfas), my trouser doesn’t touch ground, this was what i grew up to know as even in my secondary school, my parent sew my trouser in a way that it doesn’t touch ground. I was a brilliant boy while in secondary school, in fact my WASSCE result was 3A’s 3B’s and 2c’s while one result was withheld, i think it was Yoruba that they didn’t release. The next phase of my life was Jamb, even though our family was a bit broke by this time but my parent made sure i obtained the form, my elder sister (Zainab) at this time was already through with her OND in Federal polytechnic Offa. My sister’s support during this time was immeasurable, she already started her IT with one of the commercial bank in our town and with the little she was earning and she used that in supporting the family too. I wrote my jamb and thank God i scored 284 and Unilorin was my first choice of institution, i never even wanted to go to polytechnic like my sister in the first place. Fast forward to few months after my jamb, i was offered admission to study economics in Unilorin and this changed my entire life totally. As it was to be, i couldn’t be coming from Offa to Ilorin on a daily basis which means i had to settle for hostel or accommodation outside the school. Unfortunately for me, i was not able to secure school hostel as i did not pay on time which means i had to settle for hostel outside the campus. Admission to Unilorin was virtually the first time i will be spending my total time in Ilorin, as have been to Ilorin just twice in my entire life and my admission was an opportunity to know what is going on in the outside world for the first time. Looking for hostel, my dad tried to connect with alot of people both family members and friends that are staying in Ilorin so that i can reside with them but most people we relate with are either staying in Amoyo, Sango, Sobi Barrack side and the likes. The closest family we saw was those staying in fate basin and GRA. While we were trying to connect with series of people we learnt from one of our old neighbour that Ismaeel is already in unilorin, we were told he got admitted the previous year studying finance and he was staying outside school in Tanke which is like N10 cab to school. Me and Ismaeel attended the same madrasa while growing up, in fact we did our shahada (graduation) together in our Arabic school and he was even more brilliant than me. My parent also know him very well but we never knew he had gotten admission already because they moved out of our area to their own house when they completed it almost two years ago. Our parent reconnected us together and it was a big surprise when we realized that Ismaeel was staying alone in the house they secured for him. Since he has already paid for the house rent of that year, it was agreed that both of us will be sharing the accommodation fee equally every year. Initially his parent doesn’t want him to stay with anybody because of bad influence but had to agree since they know my background and we have been like one family since our childhood. . . . To Be Continue... |

| title | THE STORY OF MY LIFE: Episode 1 |
| body | . . My name is Abdulrahman Muhammed Mustopha, Am from Offa the second largest commercial city in Kwara State; this is how i ended my career and everything that matters to me at the age of 31. Like i said earlier, my name is Abdulrahman, i was born some 31 years ago in Offa, Kwara state. Growing up was just like every normal child. We are just 3 with my parent, am in the middle and i have an elder sister who is 3 years above while am four years above my junior sister. I learnt from my parent that the distance between me and our last born was a bit much just because they were not ready for another baby because of financial difficulties, they even contemplated at a time not to have another baby after me due to their financial incapability then but since the pregnancy came in a mysterious way (The pregnancy was already four month before my mum realized she was pregnant and they had no other option than to leave it as abortion is totally against our faith). The question that begged for answer was how were they doing it during that four years of no pregnancy before they gave birth to Nimat is what i don’t know because i know my father will never support family planning because of his religious believe and he will never use condom. I guess he used to eject his deek whenever he is having sex with my mum because i couldn’t explain it but who am I to ask how they did it way back. All in all, we assume Nimat was born by mistake but there was no regret. My family was just an average family, we are not rich neither are we poor. My father who was a state civil servant make sure we lack nothing and my mother who was a trader in Owode market make sure she support my dad whenever we need anything or lack something in the house. It was a happy and homely family envious of everyone in our community. We grew up in a staunch Islamic house, in fact my mum used hijab likewise my sisters while we were growing up. My father makes sure we all combine our western education with Islamic education as part of our growing up. After coming back from school in the afternoon by 2pm, the next point of call is our madrasa (Arabic school) from 4pm till 7pm every day. This means that we only have two hours of rest everyday from 2pm till 4pm before going to Madrasa. Even our weekend that is supposed to be a form of a break for us is always tight, madrasa is between 8am-2pm on Saturday and Sunday but the other hours of the weekend that suppose to be free for us is not always free as such as my dad always make sure we stay indoors, either reading our book or reading the holy quran. All i can say is that our house is like a military barrack as there was no absolute freedom, the fear of my father is the beginning of comportment. You will never want my father to meet you engaging in unwanted behaviour as you will be done for. We all fear our dad like something else but irrespective of that, we still love him as most times he was our confidant even to me that is a guy. We prefer our dad who is so hard on us than our mum that is soft hearten. We were provided with basic necessary things as our parent prefers to go on with hunger for our optimum satisfaction. Our education (Both western and Islamic) is total priority to our parent and combination of both shaped our humble beginning as we grew in our community. |

No matter how humble you are, somebody will still consider you proud. Stay humble, anyway. #Sad, But True! 4. No matter how generous you are, somebody will still call you "selfish". Remain generous, anyway. #Sad, But True! 5. Sometimes some of your greatest pains will come from those you gave the most pleasure. #Sad, But True! 6. Some of your greatest disappointments will come from those you gave your best appointments or commitments. #Sad, But True! 7. Sometimes some of the worst things you'd hear about yourself may come from those you speak the best of. #Sad, But True! 8. Not everyone in your ship is paddling in the direction of your dreamed destination. Discernment is key. #Sad, But True! 9. Loving people sometimes means feeling used by them. #Sad, But True! 10. Sometimes, doing the right thing ends up making you look like a fool. #Sad, But True! 11. Tough as it seems, any evil done against you can become a seed for your promotion... It depends on your response. #Sad, But True! 12. I would rather appear foolish now and see the wisdom of the Almighty God unfold, than appear wise now and turn out a fool later. #Sad, But True! 13. Promotion doesn't come by fighting for your rights but by being faithful in doing what is right. #Sad, But True! 14. Those who will enjoy true promotion by the Almighty must be willing to forgive freely, forgive quickly and forgive wholly. #Sad, But True! 15. Those who will relish true promotion must be willing to serve many for free and selflessly. #Sad, But True! 16. Read with caution: Sometimes, to see the positive things Almighty God can do for you, then you have to be willing to stop what you can do in offending Him. #Sad, But True! 17. Without God's sign off, your biggest step can turn out to be your biggest mistake. #Sad, But True! 18. Pain has a higher potential to toughen you up than pleasure does. #Sad, But True! 19. Problems are easier to solve than people. #Sad, But True! 20. Many people will celebrate you only as long as your advancement doesn't exceed their expectations of you. #Sad, But True! 21. Some people get close enough to you just to find something bad about you to broadcast to the world. #Sad, But True! 22. Some people are quiet when you're succeeding but quick to point out your failures. #Sad, But True! 23. Hating those who hate you makes them your leaders, since you're following their footsteps. #Sad, But True! 24. Rather than react to a negative situation. Respond to your revelation. #Sad, But True! 25. Believe the best even when you're going through the worst. #Sad, But True! 26. They hurt you? Don't hold it against them. Hold them up in prayer. #Sad, But True! 27. Forgiving people is not just a good idea. It's a GOD's idea. Actually, more than an idea. It's an instruction. #Sad, But True! 28. Your ability to overlook an offence determines the degree of dominion you'd exercise over many other things. #Sad, But True! 30. Wisdom will help you solve problems. | body | One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey. He invited all his neighbours to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up. As the farmer's neighbours continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off! MORAL : Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! | body | #Prayersfortheday# 1. Father, thank you for your love and grace that has kept me and my family all through the first month of the year. You deserve all my praises in Jesus Name. (Ps.92:1-2). 2. Father, thank you for counting me to be among the people that witness the new month. I decree that this new month shall be my month of laughter whereby celebration and jubilation shall be a reoccurring decimal in my life in Jesus Name. (Gen. 21:6, Ps.2:4). 3. Father, through the greatness of Power, let every bitterness attached to my foundation be turned to unimaginable sweetness. I decree that there shall be no unpleasant happening in my life from now on in Jesus Name. (2Kg.2:19-22) 4. Father, by the anointing of the Holy Spirit, let your angels go before me this new month to dignify my appearances before men. I decree no man will be bold enough to insult nor embarrass me all through this new month in Jesus Name. (Ex.23:20, Ps.91:11-12) 5. Father,by the blood of Jesus, let this new month be my month of unusual preservation and security.I shall end this month well without any form of evil in my assignments in Jesus Name. (Rev.12:11, Ps.91:1-3). Pray these prayers and say amen like thunder! Good morning and happy new month. |

| body | One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. Shake it off and take a step up. Remember the five simple rules to be happy: 1. Free your heart from hatred - Forgive. 2. Free your mind from worries - Most never happens. 3. | body | Very interesting Story ;!!!! A pretty and wealthy woman was serving life sentence in prison. Angry and resentful about her plight she had decided that she would rather die than to live another year in prison. Over the years she had become good friends with one of the prison caretakers. His job, among others, was to bury those prisoners who died in a graveyard just outside the prison walls. When a prisoner died, the caretaker rang a bell, which was heard by everyone. The caretaker then got the body and put it in a casket. Next, he entered his office to fill out the death certificate before returning to the casket to nail the lid shut. Finally, he put the casket on a wagon to take it to the graveyard and bury it. Knowing this routine, the woman devised an escape plan and shared it with the caretaker. The next time the bell rang, the woman would leave her cell and sneak into the dark room where the coffins were kept. She would slip into the coffin with the dead body while the caretaker was filling out the death certificate.. When the care-taker returned, he would nail the lid shut and take the coffin outside the prison with the woman in the coffin along with the dead body. He would then bury the coffin. The woman having pre-arranged with the caretaker for special vents in the coffin knew there would be enough air for her to breathe until later in the evening when the caretaker would return to the graveyard under the cover of darkness, dig up the coffin, open it, and set her free. She would also carry along a small flashlight to cope with the darkness beneath until the hour of expected freedom. The caretaker was reluctant to go along with this plan, but since he and the woman had become good friends over the years, and knowing dat he stands to gain a lot from this pretty and wealthy woman, he more than agreed to do it. The woman waited several weeks before someone in the prison died. She was asleep in her cell when she heard the death bell ring. She got up and slowly walked down the hallway. She was nearly caught a couple of times. Her heart was beating fast. She opened the door to the darkened room where the coffins were kept. Quietly in the dark, she found the coffin that contained the dead body, carefully climbed into the coffin and pulled the lid shut to wait for the caretaker to come and nail the lid shut. Soon she heard footsteps and the pounding of the hammer and nails. Even though she was very uncomfortable in the coffin with the dead body, she knew that with each nail she was one step closer to freedom. The coffin was lifted onto the wagon and taken outside to the graveyard. She could feel the coffin being lowered into the ground. She didn't make a sound as the coffin hit the bottom of the grave with a thud. Finally she heard the dirt dropping onto the top of the wooden coffin, and she knew that it was only a matter of time and she would be free at last. After several minutes of absolute silence, she began to laugh...happily feeling free already and chanting she was free! she was free! Feeling curious, she decided to light the flashlight to find out the identity of the dead prisoner beside her. To her horror, she discovered that she was lying next to the CARETAKER....her only hope to freedom. Many people believe they have life all figured out...that they are well connected and can arrange and pre-arrange things to their favour... but sometimes it just doesn't turn out the way they planned it. Think of a 'Plan B'!!! "I don't know what tomorrow holds, but I know WHO holds tomorrow." The Happiest People Don't Have the Best of everything, they just make the best of what they have...But at times even the BEST FAILS... Only one thing never fails...GOD. May he never fail us. God loves us!! It is well. |
