| title | The Korean 10 Step Skincare regimen |
| body | 10 step programme- get on the korean hype train Remember the ten step routine is rooted in being gentle and being kind to your skin. Step 1: Cleanse with an oil based cleanser. The double cleanse is the backbone of Korean beauty routine. Comprising of first washing your face with an oil based cleanser- which helps remove oil based impurities: makeup, sebum, sunscreen and all extra grime. Step 2: The nest step in the double cleansing routine- washing with a foam based cleanser. Basically this helps get rid of water based impurities and whatever is left on your skin- sweat, dirt. The only thing that’s important in selecting a water based cleanser is that it should be gentle- a neutral or low ph is the best! (I mostly skip this step in the morning as my skin is clean from the night before) Step 3: Exfoliate All exfoliators help clean out the build up of dead skin cells and grime that has been building up. I usually do this 2-3 times a week. But really depends on your skin type and your lifestyle. I cycle 20km everyday and there is a ton of buildup from sweat and exposure to the environment. But definitely limit it to once a week for those with sensitive skin. I wouldn’t recommend daily exfoliation to anyone, unless you work in a coal mine. Don’t hesitate exfoliate !!!! Step 4: Toner Toners aim to balance and prep the skin for the steps to come. I gently tap it into my skin right after the double cleanse. I hate using cotton pads to apply, coz I cant shake off the feeling that I’m wasting some of the toner when it gets soaked into the cotton pad. Also remember its all about being gentle- so tap it in, don’t rub it in. Step 5: Essence If the double cleanse is the backbone of the routine then essence is the soul. Gently pat it in after toner. To decide the best toner for you- head out to my post on essences (is that even a word) and how to pick the best one for you. Step 6: Serums/ ampoules/ booster They go by many names but they have the same underlying goal - a strong dose of an active ingredient to treat a specific problem. My fave serum remains the Mizon snail intensive repair ampoule. Step 7: Sheet masks You’ve definitely seen pictures of your friends using these Instagram. well sheet masks are what their name suggests Sheets ( made of bamboo based, cellulose, cotton etc) infused with serum that you apply on you face like a mask for a short period. Think of these as a booster dose, delivered to get instant results and enhance the underlying treatment. There are million different ones available and you can depending on your skin needs. I have a plethora of these- some for when my skin is dry n parched, some for fine lines, others for brightening. Step 8: Eye cream If your gonna put so much effort into you face, you might as well take care of the skin around your eyes. Don’t forget, you’ll thank me when you end up saving money that you would Botox for your crows feet. Ooo n i keep mine in the refrigerator, coz I like that cooling sensation i get when i apply it. Remember using an eye cream now is cheaper than getting Botox for your crows feet later on. Step 9: Moisturize: Well this one is self explanatory- moisturize your skin Some Korean brands tend to call them sleep masks- its just branding they are heavy duty moisturiser. I mean sleep mask sounds way fancier than just moisturiser! I tend to use a lighter moisturiser during the day and a heavier moisturiser; sorry “ sleeping mask” for at night. Step 10: Sun protection/ B.B. creams If your not using sun protection then you should- Sun damage is the biggest cause for most of skin problems(okay not acne)- uneven skin tone, dullness, hyper-pigmentation, wrinkles. Oh and if your thinking-I’m a person of color do I really need it: YES!!! Those UV rays don’t discriminate. My moisturiser is SPF15/30... do I need another layer of sunscreen? :YES!!! (Apparently the SPF in ur B.B. / C.C cream/ make isn’t enough) Do I need sunscreen when its cloudy ?: YES!!! So you better lotion up!!! Now if the 10 step routine doesn’t seem extensive enough, here’s more Mists: Help the skin stay hydrated throughout the day and maintain that Dewey glowing look. B.B. cream/ CC cream: Cover up imperfections and moisturize my skin at the same time? Take all my money !! Face masks; Deep clean you face, plus its like spa time for me- at home. |

| body | Continuing my journey to as many cities as possible in the Netherlands: Next stop - Maastricht. Lying in the southern end of the Netherlands, in the province of Limburg it surprisingly super accessible from Belgium rather than the Netherlands by train, With regular train service from Liege. The city derives its name from the Maas river, along whose banks it’s situated. Full disclosure I’ve been to this city like a million times, but it was mostly to party. So last Thursday was my first time being an actual tourist here. ☺️☺️☺️ So how to make this trip more interesting; I made it a date trip and was hoping it went well We the most famous landmark of this city is the St Pieter’s fort and the tunnels, about an hours walk from the station. Technically you cant explore the caves without a guide so the tour is the best option and Maastricht underground is an amazing tour to do. Their guides are hilarious and super friendly, they really do make the tour interesting . It’s offered in Dutch, English, German and French and costs 7,50 for the caves or 10,50 for the combined fort and caves. The fort tour isn’t the most impressive, as its a structure that one could explore themselves , on the other hand you get an idea of the history of Maastricht and its special significance. The tunnels- Now this was definitely the highlight of the trip and I am kinda amazed I didn’t do this before. The caves are actually man made limestone tunnels, thus calling them caves is a bit of a misnomer. Nonetheless its totally worth it. The tunnels are a vast labyrinth extending all the way into Belgium. Used to be 200kms of tunnels to explore, but due to a cement company excavation work only 80km are now available to explore (corporate greed ruining things again). The tour starts off with a brief history of how the tunnels came to be and our guide Bas did this is in the most interesting and hilarious way possible. Oh and before going any further I should mention Also its really dark - without the torches its impossible to see anything. Apparently the tunnels played an important role during the French siege of Maastricht. It’s unbelievable that families with all their belongings and live stock used to live in them during the sieges, even farming chicory, making smokeless ovens, wells to sustain themselves. Now, another special aspect of the caves are the charcoal art- which is amazing to behold. though not as old as the Lascaux caves in France some of the artwork could be dated to 300 years ago (mid 1700s). this was done by the farmers actually as a way to attract tourists - coz each family owned the part of the tunnels right underneath their farms ; so how does one get the most tourists - show them art. While most of the art is beautiful and probably made by artists- don’t be surprised by doodles on the walls done by bored farmer families/ soldiers who were stuck for months on end there during the aforementioned sieges. These included some 300 year old doodles of dicks- making me wonder how little we have changed over the last few centuries While the caves are wonderful and you want to explore as much. Stay with the guide/ group. It’s a maze, its not just a story the guides tell you to scare u. I experienced total darkness for the first time in my life. It’s so dark that u cant even see your own hand in front of your face. I couldn’t even see my dates face even if it was only 1cm from my face. My only complain from this tour- that it was too short!!! I would love for it to be longer and explore them more. PS. The caves are also great place to make out!!! After the caves I would advice anyone heading out to visit the church turned into a library. The aesthetics are wonderful and it definitely gives a old world feel. They have a great collection of books, mostly Dutch. But a ton of English titles too. The placement of the cafe in the church has a bit of a surprise - with its central table shaped like a cross, but that can only be noticed once you climb to the second floor. I would so recommend this !!! To end the day we walked over to the city park (Stad park) where u can chill on the grass, smoke some grass by the river, all the time admiring the last of the city walls that still remain. If your ever in Belgium and have a day do visit Maastricht in the Netherlands. |

| title | A day In Den Haag (The Hague) |
| body | The Hague to the English speakers. Amsterdam may be the most touristic city in the Netherlands-, but den Haag (The Hague) has its own share of things to do. The canals though not as ubiquitous as in Amsterdam are present here too. Its a large city and with three train stations is amazingly well connected to every part of the Netherlands and Europe in general. After our stomachs were full we decided to walk around the city towards the centre in lieu of cycling as walking allows us more time to just experience the city. We headed to the Mauritshuis which not as large some other famous museums, houses some great pieces especially of the Dutch masters like Vermeer’s- “the girl with the pearl earring” and Rembrandt’s - “the Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicholas Tulp.”. For 14,50 Euros its a little pricey. Nevertheless I loved it. Outside the museum you will also finds a statue of Willem the second duke of orange- Nassau; founder of modern day Netherlands. Right next door to the mauritshuis is the Binnenhof, a 13th century Gothic castle which houses the Dutch parliament. though not the most beautiful or the grandest castle your ill ever see it still is worth a visit, I means its right next door to the museum. I would just skip the parliament tour- it was boring and quite lackluster honestly( compared to the parliament in India). Outside the castle is the hof canal and its a nice spot to walk around, lie in the sun while getting a great view of the castle. A few minutes walk away is the center of the city. Bustling with stores, offices, bars and restaurants its a fun place to visit. Especially the Grote Markt which is filled with bars and since the weather was good we grabbed some cocktail sitting outsides. (It helps that the cocktails are cheaper than in Belgium). But if beer is more your thing try the Fiddler just a few meters further. Though honestly if you really loved beer, you would just visit Belgium. Now probably the only good thing to actually come out of the Dutch colonization of Indonesia is the influx of Asian food in the Netherlands. Another hidden gem of den Haag is the china town. marked with the gorgeous unmistakably Chinese gates which define its realm/ area. this is great place to grab some budget Asian food, especially Indonesian and bubble tea (I’m sorry but I’m obsessed with bubble tea). The center of the city is also a good place to stroll around in the evenings n if you feel like it just hop into one of the many cafes/ pubs there./ the Dutch are amazingly friendly people and its easy to start up a conversation with them. Den Haag is like Amsterdam’s less touristy but equally enthralling cousin. And I would definitely put in on my to visit list!!!
oh my Ghosh
|

Nevertheless I loved it.\n\n Outside the museum you will also finds a statue of Willem the second duke of orange- Nassau; founder of modern day Netherlands. \nRight next door to the mauritshuis is the Binnenhof, a 13th century Gothic castle which houses the Dutch parliament. though not the most beautiful or the grandest castle your ill ever see it still is worth a visit, I means its right next door to the museum. I would just skip the parliament tour- it was boring and quite lackluster honestly( compared to the parliament in India).\n\n Outside the castle is the hof canal and its a nice spot to walk around, lie in the sun while getting a great view of the castle. \n\n A few minutes walk away is the center of the city. Though honestly if you really loved beer, you would just visit Belgium.\nNow probably the only good thing to actually come out of the Dutch colonization of Indonesia is the influx of Asian food in the Netherlands. Another hidden gem of den Haag is the china town. marked with the gorgeous unmistakably Chinese gates which define its realm/ area. this is great place to grab some budget Asian food, especially Indonesian and bubble tea (I’m sorry but I’m obsessed with bubble tea).\nThe center of the city is also a good place to stroll around in the evenings n if you feel like it just hop into one of the many cafes/ pubs there./ the Dutch are amazingly friendly people and its easy to start up a conversation with them.\n \n\nDen Haag is like Amsterdam’s less touristy but equally enthralling cousin. And I would definitely put in on my to visit list!!!",

| title | A trip to keukenhof: Garden of Europe |
| body | After a hard day/night of partying in the Amsterdam for kingsday; hungover and hours behind schedule, my ex and I left for the magnificent tulip fields of Keukenhof (literally translated to kitchen garden). The tulips bloom for just a a few weeks every spring normally mid march to mid may, so visiting during April seems the safest bet and our best chance to see it. The journey and the Crowd Since we were staying with my friend in Den Haag we decided to take a train to Leiden and then a bus to the keukenhof gardens. The ride there is littered with glimpses of tulip fields giving you a hint of the things to come, just like a teaser to a great film. So honestly as the bus pulled into the parking the first thing i noticed was how crowded the place seemed . Like, I’m from India and even I thought the place was overflowing with people. despite the overcast grey skies. So now to get into the actual gardens we stood in the lines, even though we bought tickets online (17 euros for an adult) and boy were they moving too slowly. After what seemed like half the day (Actually just 15 minutes, so I’m dramatic- SUE ME!!!) we finally got in and it was uuughhhh... filled with even more people. The tulip fields are breathtaking; stretching out before you in gorgeous hues that popped against the grey skies- vibrant reds, bright orange and yellows, delicate pinks and purple. It was just stunning. Definitely worth the wait. But now we encountered our next problem how to get a decent picture without someone photobombing it. This proved harder than expected! Also the crowds didn’t really allow us to explore the fields freely and to visit the windmills- forget it, the lines were crazy. So we regrouped and did the next best thing stepped out of the fields, rented bikes and decided to cycle around. When In Netherlands- BIKE The bikes are available for rent around 50 meters further from the gates quite close to the parking lot exit. they offer a variety of bikes ranging in sizes and also tandem bikes if you are feeling up for it.There are 4 bike routes, conveniently labelled 1-4 that encircle the fields. the total length is around 40 Kms, if you decide to do all of them or if you are lazy like us pick and do a few. We followed route 4 which is the best if you want to see the fields. Thankfully, this is the Netherlands and cycle paths are well defined, thus making it safe to cycle around. We cycled along the path around various fields. There were many spots were we stopped soaked in the views and managed to take some great pics for my new tinder profile. The best thing about renting bikes is that you are independent and you don’t really need to stay to the assigned routes. We ventured off on our own and I’m so glad we did that. We managed to get views of some fields that weren’t even mentioned on the official route maps.Plus these fields allowed us to step inside into them(even better pictures☺️☺️☺️). Sadly due to time constraints, we weren’t able to do a boat tour. Nevertheless, this trip was definitely worth my time and money- definitely earned its moniker of garden of Europe. Plus I realised if you really want to once can avoid the crowds. Practical Info: Best time to visit- mid April Getting there - Bus: shuttle buses run From Amsterdam Schipol (the lines are long and crowded) From Leiden station (less crowded) From Lisse- best option By train: From all over Netherlands to Lisse station, from where one can walk, take a local bus or cycle. Entry fee: 17 euros for adults, Best Buy it online at keukenhof.nl |

| title | King’s Day in Amsterdam |
| body | Kings day If you are planning a visit to the Netherlands, I would personally suggest coming down at the end of April for Koningsdag or King’s day as it’s known to the non Dutch speaker. Held every year on the 27th of April - it marks a day to celebrate the monarchy and the nation of Netherlands, but honestly it’s just an excuse for the Dutch to party! Having lived in Belgium for 5 years I never had the opportunity to celebrate kings day; luckily for me this year it was on a Friday n I decided to go to Amsterdam to see what it was all about. Although it is celebrated all through the Netherlands 🇳🇱- Amsterdam is where the party is at. The streets are a sea of orange. Everyone is dressed in the colour, some from head to toe. You can feel the party atmosphere. I arrived by train at 12 pm n people were already pretty drunk and dancing. If you are like me and are looking to party, the KINGSLAND festival is the place to go. It’s held at the Amsterdam RAI which is a little out of the city, but still accessible using public transport (getting off at Amsterdam zuid station and walking) and we had bought tickets online beforehand for both the concert and public transport (it’s cheaper than last minute tickets). Though it seemed expensive; it was totally worth the money for the line up. Three stages featuring the best of Dutch and international djs and musical artists- Hardwell, de jeugd van tegenwoordig, lil’ Klein, DJ snake (who unfortunately couldn’t make it on time because of flight delays), lost frequencies, Ronnie flex, Kris Kris, Sam Feldt and many more. The stages were great for a one day event and the crowd was amazing. My only complain would be them not allowing us to bring in our own drinks as the festival drinks were too expensive. All the djs and artists were at the top of their game, mixing some of the best tunes and as a tribute a lot of avicii was played. A special shout out to Hardwell for his mix of the Dutch national anthem. The festival lasted till about 8pm, after which drunk and pumped up we decided to head to the city Center and we were not disappointed. The streets were packed with people still partying. Beer could be bought at every street corner from special stalls and all the bars and pubs were packed. We also noticed a lot of kids inhaling balloons and decided to try it- balloon vendors were walking around with large tanks of nitrous oxide and filling balloons and selling them -3 for 5 euros. We bought three and decided to inhale them. Honestly it was fun- it was such a quick high that doesn’t last too long! Am I going to do that again? Probably not, nevertheless I am glad I did. As the night progresses the streets got messy- drunk people throwing up, people screaming , street fights, we even saw a girl get handcuffed and arrested! The red light district was a sight to behold. It was packed with drunken tourists and loads of men trying to cut a deal with the ladies of the night. We also manage to get into watching a live sex show and it definitely was not something I liked or will ever do again. But if you are in Amsterdam you might as well experience every aspect of the city. For the lovers of the herbal stuff- coffee shops are open till 2am on kings day and you can choose to buy a pre rolled joint or just weed. The variety of weeds available differed from store to store, large chains like bull dog offer around 50+ types. Fair warning as with everything on kings day, coffee shops can be packed so it may be best to buy your stash earlier in the day. We bought some pre rolled joints and sat by the canal to smoke, soaking up the atmosphere and just enjoy the movement. Luckily the weather was great, unlike normal Dutch weather, I would still advise bringing a waterproof jacket or a rain jacket if your planning on visiting in April as the chances of rain ☔️ is way higher than a chance of a sunny day. The great thing about the Netherlands is that the trains run all night in the weekends (something Belgium could learn from them) and one should take advantage of this. Hostel and hotel prices in Amsterdam during kings day weekend can be crazy expensive. Some hostels we looked at were charging 80 euros a night for a 10-12 person shared room 😱😱😱. We booked hostels in den Haag which is just a 20 minute train ride away and bought weekend train passes which allowed us to freely move around in the Netherlands without having to pay crazy prices for uncomfortable beds and crowded rooms. All in all it was great but exhausting day, one where you get to truly experience the Dutch revelry and let loose. Plus you will never see so much of orange in you life. Tips: Pre book rooms in hostels / hotels in Amsterdam or better yet stay in a city near by and take advantage of the Netherlands amazing public transport connectivity. A 24 hour pass is pretty handy. Just buy beer from a supermarket and drink, as the stalls, pubs, bars are very expensive and crowded during King’s day and drinking on the streets is legal. Definitely go to Kingsland festival. Get gear to protect from the rain. HIP HIP HOERA!!! ![D0FA280F-D94C-4CC6-8EBA-8631BD0DC655.jpeg] |

| title | King’s Day in Amsterdam |
| body | Kings day If you are planning a visit to the Netherlands, I would personally suggest coming down at the end of April for Koningsdag or King’s day as it’s known to the non Dutch speaker. |

"title": "King’s Day in Amsterdam",
"body": "Kings day \n\nIf you are planning a visit to the Netherlands, I would personally suggest coming down at the end of April for Koningsdag or King’s day as it’s known to the non Dutch speaker. Held every year on the 27th of April - it marks a day to celebrate the monarchy and the nation of Netherlands, but honestly it’s just an excuse for the Dutch to party!\nHaving lived in Belgium for 5 years I never had the opportunity to celebrate kings day; luckily for me this year it was on a Friday n I decided to go to Amsterdam to see what it was all about.\nAlthough it is celebrated all through the Netherlands 🇳🇱- Amsterdam is where the party is at.\nThe streets are a sea of orange. Everyone is dressed in the colour, some from head to toe. You can feel the party atmosphere. I arrived by train at 12 pm n people were already pretty drunk and dancing.\n\nIf you are like me and are looking to party, the KINGSLAND festival is the place to go. Three stages featuring the best of Dutch and international djs and musical artists- Hardwell, de jeugd van tegenwoordig, lil’ Klein, DJ snake (who unfortunately couldn’t make it on time because of flight delays), lost frequencies, Ronnie flex, Kris Kris, Sam Feldt and many more.\nThe stages were great for a one day event and the crowd was amazing. My only complain would be them not allowing us to bring in our own drinks as the festival drinks were too expensive. \nAll the djs and artists were at the top of their game, mixing some of the best tunes and as a tribute a lot of avicii was played. A special shout out to Hardwell for his mix of the Dutch national anthem.\nThe festival lasted till about 8pm, after which drunk and pumped up we decided to head to the city Center and we were not disappointed. Probably not, nevertheless I am glad I did.\nAs the night progresses the streets got messy- drunk people throwing up, people screaming , street fights, we even saw a girl get handcuffed and arrested! \nThe red light district was a sight to behold. It was packed with drunken tourists and loads of men trying to cut a deal with the ladies of the night. We also manage to get into watching a live sex show and it definitely was not something I liked or will ever do again. But if you are in Amsterdam you might as well experience every aspect of the city.\nFor the lovers of the herbal stuff- coffee shops are open till 2am on kings day and you can choose to buy a pre rolled joint or just weed. Luckily the weather was great, unlike normal Dutch weather, I would still advise bringing a waterproof jacket or a rain jacket if your planning on visiting in April as the chances of rain ☔️ is way higher than a chance of a sunny day.\n\nThe great thing about the Netherlands is that the trains run all night in the weekends (something Belgium could learn from them) and one should take advantage of this. Hostel and hotel prices in Amsterdam during kings day weekend can be crazy expensive. Some hostels we looked at were charging 80 euros a night for a 10-12 person shared room 😱😱😱. We booked hostels in den Haag which is just a 20 minute train ride away and bought weekend train passes which allowed us to freely move around in the Netherlands without having to pay crazy prices for uncomfortable beds and crowded rooms.\n\nAll in all it was great but exhausting day, one where you get to truly experience the Dutch revelry and let loose. Plus you will never see so much of orange in you life.\n\nTips: \nPre book rooms in hostels / hotels in Amsterdam or better yet stay in a city near by and take advantage of the Netherlands amazing public transport connectivity. A 24 hour pass is pretty handy.\nJust buy beer from a supermarket and drink, as the stalls, pubs, bars are very expensive and crowded during King’s day and drinking on the streets is legal.\nDefinitely go to Kingsland festival.\nGet gear to protect from the rain.\n\nHIP HIP HOERA!!!\n",

| body | So when I fell into the wonderful world of korean skin care, one of the most used buzzwords was essence and my first reaction was- WTF is an essence?🤔🤔🤔 Known as the heart of the Korean Skin care regimen, Essence is essentially (pardon the pun), any product with the aim to hydrate the skin and prepare it for any subsequent products you use. It’s more than a toner and is packed with more active ingredients. So then how are they any different from serums? Well they are formulated to be lightweight and are water based to make them easier to absorb. While serums tend to have a thicker consistency and have even more potent ingredients. Though there are a quite few essences available that are more viscous and even spot treatment essences- blurring the lines between essences and serums. What essence aims to do is pretty simple: HYDRATE Well hydrated skin is supple, plump and in general healthier. That’s what toning and essence aim to do, namely hydrate the skin and prepare the skin for the better absorption for subsequent steps products like serum and moisturizer. How to Use: I personally use this just after cleansing and toning. You can either use a cotton pad or apply it directly using your hands. Just gently tap it onto your face, Don’t rub it in. I personally prefer the latter coz the cotton pads soak up the essence and that way your just wasting it. Apart from my nightly skincare routine, I use essence multiple times a day. Whenever my skin needs a pick me up- I wipe it off with (insert skin wipe) and slap on essence. So which is the right essence for you? Well that depends on your skin care needs. As I mentioned before - all essences aimed to hydrate but they also are packed with ton of highly active ingredients. For dull skin with uneven skin tone look for an essence with Niacinamide Like the Missha Time Revolution First Treatment Essence. Acne troubles ??pick the nature republic bee venom mist essence or the Innisfree green tea fresh essence Pesky large pores - pick up Mizon Skin Turnaround pore refine silky essence. And if you multiple concerns and want one that does it all SK-II Facial Essence, with PITERA (50 micro nutrients) to help even skin tone, firm, reduce wrinkles and brighten. My top picks: SK-II facial Essence- the miracle worker, it does it all. After all it is benchmark, all other essences are measure up to (regular or spot treatment). The missha First treatment essence, intense moist: Like the SK-II it does it all but at a fraction of the price. Nature republic bee venom mist essence Mizon Skin turnaround pore refine silky essence for those pesky pores Innisfree TrueCare CICA Essence Pad for sensitive skin Innisfree green tea fresh essence get it at yestsyle Mizon Water Volume Ex first Essence.get it here What ever your skin care concerns are, there is an essence for you. |

| body | So last weekend I had a date, it was with a guy I was totally into and have had a crush on for like forever!!! So expectedly I was crazy excited about it ... like really excited. Knowing my luck every time something great is about to happen in my life the universe conspires to ruin it for me. Ok, so I was being a little dramatic; but just a heads up I love DRAMA... Most of the time the drama is of my own doing, but hey its easier to blame the universe eh? So just as I had predicted the night before my big coffee date who should appear, but a big unsightly pimple!!! I’m someone who prides himself on having decently clear skin- its the one thing I have better than other gays of Leuven coz i cant compete with their abs or their butts.. You how some people pride their great bodies, some their long silky hair, others their cars and money- well for me its my skin. Thankfully I had my go to treatment for the pimple - the cosrx acne pimple master patch Just put one on overnight and watch your pimple, whitehead or blackhead disappear by next morning. These come in a pack of 24 transparent hydrocolloid patches with three distinct sizes to fit any zit. The patch adheres well to your skin; mine didn’t come off and I’m someone who tosses and turns every night.(keep in mind that if the zit is too big the patch might not fit.) There is also this satisfaction of pulling it off the next morning and seeing the white gunk stuck on it (This is all the debris from your pimple). How to use: Wash and dry the affected area, find the patch sized to fit your zit and put it on overnight. My verdict: It’s a phenomenal product that everyone needs to have, coz you never know when that zit decides to appear. PS. In case you were wondering, the date went pretty well!!! |

There is also this satisfaction of pulling it off the next morning and seeing the white gunk stuck on it (This is all the debris from your pimple).\nHow to use:\nWash and dry the affected area, find the patch sized to fit your zit and put it on overnight.\n\nMy verdict:\nIt’s a phenomenal product that everyone needs to have, coz you never know when that zit decides to appear.\n\nPS. In case you were wondering, the date went pretty well!!!",

| title | SNAIL MUCIN: |
| body | Full disclosure, I’m a total koreaboo, to the uninitiated its someone obsessed with Korean culture. The inner dork in me loves Korean Pop (there’s more to it than Gangnam style; trust me), Korean TV shows and Korean beauty and style trends. The first thing I noticed when watching Korean dramas and music videos- how flawless everyone looked. I mean you can not deny, even Psy’s skin looked amazing in Gangnam Style. Like all the women and the men had Dewy glowing blemish free skin. Initially I attributed it to lightning and make up, but even off camera they looked amazing; it couldn’t be only makeup could it? This is how I fell into the world of Korean beauty or K beauty for short. Holding out for a hero For my first post I would like to introduce the superstar ingredient of Korean beauty products- Snail Mucin. It’s hard to find a Korean beauty brand that doesn’t carry this secret ingredient!!! And trust me it works ` So I decided to start to write about a product I’m obsessed with, like absolutely in love with. It's the one thing in my routine besides cleansing that I can't do without! Snail Mucin or as my roommate calls it- snail goop!!! I remember recommending this to my BFF, her reaction could be summed up as “eeewwww... NOOOO”. It took a lot of begging and a promise of taking her out for lunch to get her to try it and since then she loves it! Th first snail serum I ever tried was Mizon Snail intensive Ampoule and it says a lot about the product that I decided to stick with this product for over two years The Mizon Snail Repair Intensive Ampoule Now serums are meant to be highly effective and are jam packed with ingredients that are great for your skin and the Mizon Snail intensive Ampoule is no different. Packed with 80% snail mucin filtrate which has been proven to heal acne scarring, boost skin viscosity and elasticity and hydrate the skin. It also contains hyaluronic acid with aids skin elasticity and reducing fine lines and cacao which is rich in antioxidants. Now that is lot that this product promises and it does deliver on most of them. How to use: Personally, I use just a few drops every night right after cleansing and toning- I just apply a few drops and tap it into my skin. Surprisingly it does not feel sticky and applies easily onto the skin. It’s also absorbed pretty fast and doesn’t sit on my skin. My Take After some bad experiences with more expensive serums ( Kiehls midnight recovery concentrate, more on that later) I was a little apprehensive. Plus it can be hard to find a product that works on combination skin. But honest to god this product is a miracle worker. My skin felt smoother, plumper and more hydrated after the first use. I also loved that it didn’t make my skin feel oiler or just sat on my skin. Long term use it has kept my skin sufficiently hydrated, help lighten some acne scars - they haven’t totally disappeared and helped my skin feel more supple. At 29 I can't really speak about it efficacy in terms of reducing wrinkles- but since I see none on my face I would like to believe it works. What I was really looking for was a product that would help even out my skin tone and help it looks healthier .. And if does reduce some scarring that would be amazing. So starting off I was a little skeptical - I mean no single ingredient/ product could do all this that was promised!!!! But this does... if you're looking to invest in just one product this is it!!! Believe the hype! |

| title | Introduce Yourself |
| body | Hi There, If I could chose four words that encapsulate me they would be Travel, Beauty , Fashion and Gaysian! So Nitesh here, a 29 year old Indian expat living in Belgium. I’m a physiotherapist who loves to travel, sketch, learn new languages and is obsessed with skin care!!!! Serums, masks, creams you name it I try it all. If its new and exciting you bet I’ve tried it!!! Every free moment is spent creating end exploring- be it sketches, looking up new skincare treatments and if I have the time and/or the money- travelling!!!! Just blogging about skincare, travel and being a brown gay boy in a white weird world |
