And situated only 1.3-degrees to the left you see yellow-orange Mars, while 8-degrees below will blaze Venus.\n\nIf you’ve been up before sunrise these past couple of weeks, you may have noticed how Venus and Mars have been changing positions with each other on successive mornings. In fact, on Oct. 5, they appeared very close to each other, separated by just a quarter of a degree. Since that time, they have been slowly drawing apart; Venus getting lower a bit lower each morning and Mars getting a bit higher. [The Brightest Planets in October’s Night Sky]\n\nAnd on Tuesday morning, the moon will join them, forming a rather broad triangle low in the eastern sky just prior to sunrise.\n\nSo far as the planets are concerned, Oct 5 was literally the celestial equivalent of two ships passing in the night. Mars continues to move ahead of Earth in its orbit around the sun, and rises around 5 a.m. (your local time) all month. Still on the far side of the sun, this 2nd-magnitude planet appears a tiny disk even in moderately large telescopes. But Earth is slowly gaining on the Red Planet, with Mars appearing higher in the eastern sky each day. Venus on the other hand, rises just before the first gleam of morning twilight throughout most of October and sinks closer to the eastern horizon as it retreats to the far side of the sun.\n\nAnd Tuesday morning, both planets and the moon will form a widely spaced, albeit eye-catching gathering for early risers on route to work and school. Most will likely just give the trio a cursory glance, but to ancient skywatcherssuch a gather may have had made a far greater impression.\n\nWhat does it mean?\n\nAncient humans probably took note of the fact that the planets — themselves resembling bright stars — had the freedom to wander in the heavens, while the other “fixed” stars remained rooted in their positions. This ability to move, seemed to have an almost magical, god-like quality. And evidence that the planets came to be associated with the gods, lies in their very names, which represent ancient deities.\n\nThousands of years ago, skywatchers must have deduced that if the movements of the planets had any significance at all, it must be to inform those who could read celestial signs of what the fates held in store. Indeed, even to this day, many newspapers carry horoscopes, catering to those who firmly believe that the changing positions of the sun, moon and planets can have a decided effect on the destinies of individuals and nations on the Earth.\n\nBut as for any chance that the impending moon/planet gathering might have any influence on our lives in any way, forget it. The statement has been made during a period of increasing development of national cryptocurrencies on the part of authoritarian governments.\n\n“For the Central Bank to Issue Virtual Currencies or Crypto-Currencies in an Open System Will Be Too Risky” – Francois Grope, Deputy Governor of the South African Reserve Bank\n\nDuring a recent keynote address at the 2017 Strate GIBS Fintech Innovation Conference, Deputy governor of the South African Reserve Bank, Francois Grope, has described the possibility of developing a national cryptocurrency as “too risky”.\n\nDuring his address, Grope acknowledged the immense disruptive potential of bitcoin and cryptocurrency, and the transformations that contemporary fintech technologies are driving upon traditional banking processes. “We are witnessing the disruption of financial services”, Grope stated. “Over the past decade or so, fintech’s attention and publicity has continued to intensify and increase. It is continuing to usher in completely new ways of banking. Developments in the fintech space are part of an evolutionary process driven by innovations… Virtual currencies have the potential of becoming widely adopted. However, for the central bank to issue virtual currencies or crypto-currencies in an open system will be too risky for us.       "body": "Hello,\n\nI am looking to be kept updated on specific AltCoins I have in my portfolio, therefore I would like to see what kind of tools/websites were you using when researching news about AltCoins.\n\nOf course I could use GoogleNews, but I would like to know if there are some good alternatives.\n\nDo you have any you might recommend?\n\nI am currently using:\nBlockfolio - Android (and iOS) app mostly updated with all my investments so I could quickly check our are my investments going daily.\nTabTrader - Android (and iOS) app used when I would like to see more in-depth a chart for some specific coin (don't like that much the interface to handle investments).\nBittrex - Used almost every time from now on. It has the majority of tradable AltCoins so it is a must currently.\nPoloniex.com - I have used it a lot in the past and still have one or two coins there, but looking to move all of them to Bittrex.\nCoinMarketCap.com - Very useful to take a quick glance on the general information of coins and be able to sort and filter that information very quickly. Very easy to access detailed information as well, like charts and coin cost.\nMyAltCoins.net - Very useful to quickly visualize how the investments are going.\nAltpocket.io - Useful too to quickly check how investments are going.\nSnipta.com - Quickly convert Altcoin currencies from/to USD/EUR/GBP/etc.\n\nLooking for:\nA great source that would combine together news and/or articles of specified coins\nAny other suggestion you may have.       "body": "A schoolboy who raped his four-year-old sister and then bribed her to keep quiet with a bag of Skittles had a large amount of porn on his mobile phone, a court was told.\n\nThe 12-year-old boy repeatedly raped the girl while the pair played games of hide and seek.\n\nThe girl, who is now five, told her mother of her nightmare ordeal while she was in the bath.\n\nYesterday the boy, who is now 13, admitted raping and sexually touching his own sister.\n\nHe was found guilty of a second count of rape after a hearing at Brighton Youth Court.\n\nThe court was told the boy possessed a mobile phone and investigators had found a significant amount of porn on it.\n\nYouth offending experts will now carry out weeks of assessment to decide whether he poses a risk to the public and whether he should face jail.\n\nAt an earlier hearing the mother of the girl, who is half sister to the boy, wiped away tears as she described how her little girl had told her.\n\n'She said to me \"mummy I want to tell you something\". She didn't normally say things with such an introductory manner,' the girl's mother said.\n\n'She wanted to tell me. It was something important to her. She said it happened while they were playing hide and seek.'\n\nThe mother said the girl had divulged further details about a week later - giving details of at least two occasions when she was raped and another time she was sexually assaulted.\n\nHer mother said: 'She said he offered her sweeties to do this. She said she didn't like it but she liked the sweeties.\n\n'I said to her liking sweeties was perfectly all right but he should never have offered her sweets to do something like that.\n\n'She said \"he made me like Skittles\". She was clearly cross about that. I said to her \"why didn't you tell mummy?\" and she said \"he told me not to\".'\n\nAt the hearing yesterday District Judge Teresa Szagun a significant amount of pornographic material had been found on the boy's phone.\n\nAnd the the judge warned the boy that he faces the possibility of a severe custodial sentence.\n\nThe judge said: 'I'm sure what she described is accurately what happened to her. The way she spoke was very factual and articulate.\n\n'She was able to tell me about those experiences very well.
