| title | Worried about Ark’s future? 3 projects / partnerships to get you amped up! |
| body | Ark quietly goes about its business, giving frequent updates & for those who research its clear to see Ark’s future prospects and use cases. This is by no means, a full list of current projects & partnerships, but rather the most promising to date. **Persona** You can find a previously written, detailed rundown of Persona & its ICO here https://steemit.com/ark/@nweng/persona-ark-fork-and-ico **What is Persona?** Persona will be the first consumer project that uses Ark's new services to create its own chain. This will be connected to the Ark main-chain at a protocol level, allowing transactions and contract interaction to an unlimited amount of coins & tokens. In addition, access to a wealth of developer tools. An Identity management solution, aligned with the latest EU Data regulations, the individual spends less time updating their data and service providers can access the latest version of the customer data. **What does that mean?** You upload your files(documents, copies of your ID) on an IPFS implementation over Persona blockchain. They are encrypted by the blockchain itself using your private key. Let's suppose you want to sign up for a contract with a new mobile carrier. You have your identity checked on Persona blockchain. What the mobile carrier staff will do will issue a request to have read access to your details. They will generate a QR code that you scan with your phone and you'll see that X company is requesting access to your date birth, address and ID. You'll sign with your private key and give access to your uploaded documents on Persona blockchain to see if the person they have in front is the same with the person from the documents. And that's all. Every company that has an on boarding process they have just to make sure that the person they have in front of their eyes is the same with the person of which documents they are checking. **Partnership details** Stefan Neagu a key Ark cofounder & project manager set his sights on this project, its been in the works for some time. Advisors also feature Ark team members such as Mike Doty - Managing Director & lead Dev. It seems as if this project is the first in the ‘grand vision’, stipulations state that 12,000,000 PRS must fund 10 other start-up projects that use persona for verification. An excellent way to improve an encourage use of the system. It’s clear this will be a deep partnership, I imagine Ark will use Persona heavily, vetting delegates, KYC checks for fork projects, expanding into current company structures (read the steemit article above for more info) etc. It’s an ambitious, unique project, forget civic or selfkey this is better, it will ensure Ark is best placed to deal with any upcoming regulation and will a driving factor in Arks growth. **Blockport** https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@nathalie22/blockport https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@ramsteem/blockport-1st-social-crypto-exchange **What is Blockport?** Blockport is the first social crypto exchange, based on a hybrid-decentralized architecture, trades being centralised, your private keys being decentralised. It aims to offer a wide array of fiat pairs and allows the user to own their private keys. Users can follow their favourite traders, executing the same trades and communicating directly with them. Blockport was born out of Amsterdam and is all about adoption, a familiar user interface & ease of use for new market entrants, coupled with the ability to follow other experienced crypto traders will ensure growth is a given. It will also aggregate liquidity across public exchanges to ensure buyers and sellers are always available at, or as close to, market price. **Partnership details** Maximising exposure and growth Blockport has partnered with Ark, the only registered and regulated EU crypto company. Blockport will be funding a buy in function for Ark wallets, trades will be executed in the background and users will receive Ark at the click of a button, no more buying through exchanges, users just download the Ark wallet & buy through paypal, debit or credit card. This will propel Ark’s growth, adoption & price upwards. Combine this with a fully fleshed out ACES service and it’s easy to see how close the relationship between the two will be, struggling to with liquidity on a new token? Utilise an ACES service to fill the gap. **EduCTX** http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?arnumber=8247166 **What is EduCTX?** EduCTX is a blockchain higher education credit transfer system, based on the European credit transfer system. It offers a trusted, decentralized higher education credit and grading system that can offer a globally unified viewpoint for students and higher education institutions (HEIs), as well as for other potential stakeholders such as companies, institutions, and organizations. EduCTX will process, manage and control ECTX tokens, which represent credits that students gain for completed courses such as ECTS. HEIs are the peers of the blockchain network. It will remove many language and administrative barriers, especially as adoption builds. **Partnership details** The project was created by a Slovenian team, led by Muhamed Turkanović & KRISTJAN KOŠIČ - Ark cofounder & core developer, as an advisor. EduCTX utilises Arks chain creation technology (Push button blockchain) to create its own forked, independently valued chain, but with all the benefits that come with using ark – developer tools, connections and contract execution of other cryptos. You could, say, pay your admin fee using any crypto, which would automatically settle in whichever other crypto EduCTX decides to accept. The main takeaway from EduCTX is that it improves on existing systems, using Ark, placing it at the forefront for Academic institutions. Academia has long been a focus for Ark’s growth, attending hackathons at various universities, attempting to scoop up developers, being the first useful blockchain interaction for many. Increasing exposure via a targeted, well thought out, useful project will bode very well for Ark. Students may not know that their credit & grading system is on the blockchain, but you can be sure higher learning institutions will know of Ark and its capabilities. It's likely that they will look to Ark to provide solutions & improvements, increasing administrative efficiency or utilising Ark in academia projects. With upcoming regulation and adoption Ark is placing itself in a unique position, their initial projects improve and solve specific problems, their work with universities will provide developers, partnerships and exposure. These partnerships provide a solid base for Ark to build on, and some peace of mind for investors. |

| body | Thanks you for writing this quick rundown! I'm sure it will help others just learning about NAS and why it's so powerful. One thing I do want to mention is that this article lists Testnet as Q1 of 2018 and Mainnet as Q2-Q3 of 2018. The Testnet is already up and Nebulas is expected to go Mainnet in Q1 of 2018 (max of 8 weeks away). In Q4 of 2018, Nebulas will really start to take shape with Nebulas Rank (NR) and Developer Incentive Protocol (DIP) going active. You can see the roadmap at https://github.com/nebulasio/wiki/blob/master/roadmap.md For those wanting to take a bit deeper dive, I highly suggest reading the white paper at https://nebulas.io/docs/NebulasTechnicalWhitepaper.pdf But if that is too much, I wrote up an easy to read overview of the white paper. It's located at https://www.reddit.com/r/nebulas/comments/7rwllx/nebulas_technical_white_paper_review_january_20/ Thanks again! |

| title | Persona - Ark Fork & ICO |
| body | Persona will be the first project that uses Ark's new services to create its own chain. This will be connected to the Ark main-chain at a protocol level, allowing transactions and contract interaction to an unlimited amount of coins & tokens. In addition, access to a wealth of developer tools. What is Persona? Its an Identity management solution. Aligned with the latest EU Data regulations, the individual spends less time updating their data and service providers can access the latest version of the customer data. What does that mean? You upload your files(documents, copies of your ID) on an IPFS implementation over Persona blockchain. Some of the best use cases of Persona will be found in customer - corporate partners relations. Signing up for new broadband that sort of thing. Token Value & allocation: PRS is a utility token. Users who offer verification services will be rewarded PRS each time they carry out verification. Payment by PRS tokens will be necessary each time an individual is verified by a private partner. It’s quite a mouthful to explain, so here’s their explanation, taken from the whitepaper The seeded number of tokens will be 100,000,000 priced at $0.2 per token. 70,000,000 allocated to the sale, the others for various development & team funds. The Bonus structure can be found within the whitepaper, those who buy before 30.1.18 get 50% extra PRS. 100,000,000 will be released, however the total number of tokens is unknown, and is subject to change per the T&C’s. I haven’t reached out to any of the Co-founders, and they are accessible on reddit, slack, bitcointalk etc. This will likely turn some off, but I believe the team want this token to have value, tying up personal funds ensures that work must continue. The founders have spread their personal token payments over 3 years, an indication of a good team… 10% at genesis 30% after 12 months, 30% after 24 months, 30% after 36months. Team & Roadmap: The project has very close ties to ARK, Stefan Neagu one of the Co founders of Persona is also an Ark Co-founder, advisors also feature Ark team members such as Mike Doty - Managing Director & lead Dev. It seems as if this project is the first in the ‘grand vision’, stipulations state that 12,000,000 coins must fund 10 other start-up projects that use persona for verification. An excellent way to improve an encourage use of the system. Ark is gearing up, a new core rewrite, the completion of pushable chains and more should see Persona’s main net live in March. Persona Timeline - A quote from Stefan Neagu Persona is not only about using a blockchain 2FA to log-in on various website(to replace your password) is more about who you are: your medical records, your fitbit logs, your pictures, your reputation. Is all about YOU.Is about offering cross-border KYC, is about offering identity as a service(while you are already on boarded with some bank, you might go to an utility provider and have your identity proven by the bank, who's client you already are), is about the EU Directive on Global Data Protection, which is the legal mean to prevent something similar like Equifax in US.You can join our community on telegram and discuss more, if you want. We would be very happy to share the enthusiasm of the project with you. https://t.me/joinchat/EHZJQkeWDSAosguXn6DWVg Conclude Persona is serious about this project, and won’t let any old riff raff in, in the early stages of these users will need to meet face to face to verify identity. This will be streamlined very swiftly, but it’s important that the initial core users are trustworthy and vetted. This project will reach and impact both users & companies, making data more accessible, their services more streamlined, yet still providing a fully encrypted, decentralised solution. https://persona.im https://persona.im/documents/whitepaper-v1.pdf https://persona.im/documents/persona-token-purchase-agreement.pdf https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2656017.0 |

"body": "\n\nPersona will be the first project that uses Ark's new services to create its own chain. This will be connected to the Ark main-chain at a protocol level, allowing transactions and contract interaction to an unlimited amount of coins & tokens. In addition, access to a wealth of developer tools.\n\nWhat is Persona?\n\nIts an Identity management solution. Aligned with the latest EU Data regulations, the individual spends less time updating their data and service providers can access the latest version of the customer data.\n\nWhat does that mean?\n\nYou upload your files(documents, copies of your ID) on an IPFS implementation over Persona blockchain. And that's all. | title | Visualising Ark and other popular cryptocurrencies. How will Ark interact with each? |
| body | ARK I like to think of Ark as a tree, ever expanding, limitless providing the energy (users/ideas) is there. Sharing one root system like the Pando, Quaking Aspen. Sentient; like the LOTR Ents. The trunk = The mainchain. Trust less coin swaps should take place here, utilising ACES. ACES as explained later will be described as Sap. The mainchain can be thought of as the Sap producer, providing the rest of the Tree with Sap. The branches -= Forked chains. I think of the branches stemming away from the Trunk as projects, inextricably linked to Ark. * However, you don’t see Tree’s with bigger branches than Trunks (often) so in the same way a flower, shrub or bush is cloned forked chains could one day outgrow Ark’s value. Still connected, still the same, like the Pando forest. Bare this in mind when envisioning my Ethereum visualisation. Sap = ACES project. That includes managing coin swaps on the mainchain, managing and interacting with foreign chains using smartbridging. Sap flows throughout the tree. It’s everywhere you can’t get rid of it, it flows between chains and originates from the Trunk, the mainchain. You could imagine Sap leaking from branch to branch acting as that physical bridge representation, but I like to think of it as Tree blood. Blood travels throughout the body with chemicals like oxygen, potassium etc. in one direction, drops them off, then returns with different chemicals. Sap would carry out a similar role here flowing through the Trees & Branches with transaction info. Bridging the gap between chains. DPoS = Self governing, securing, a sort of sentience managing the tree. Ensuring a fast secure network, improving things without every needing to bring issues to a larger limelight. ETHEREUM Ethereum is a City, like New York, contained by water. It can, and will, grow massively, upgrading infrastructure, regulation etc. but its limited and inefficient, traffic jams occurring more often. Cities often have outdated infrastructure and that forces the community, the leaders to come up with novel ideas to solve minor issues. How does Ark interact with Ethereum? We’ll have to size it down a bit, imagine a 4 way junction, one way only…. Roads = Chains. I think all roads within the city as one way, with the ability to improve & change with city upgrades and regulation. I.e. widening roads akin to faster transaction speeds. Ring roads, subways trains etc. circling the City can be thought of as ultra-fast off chain transactions. City Block = The block and its buildings represent the project. The bigger better ones Omisego are like Wall St. Big fancy buildings sleek clean roads providing the City with great wealth. Confido is like the unkempt, groggy, apartment block where crack is sold and your grandmother gets mugged. Cars = Represent transactions moving through chains. Different cars represent different transnaction information. Sports car would be a fast moving transaction, there maybe a truck carrying cars, groups transactions, a sharding of sorts. Tree = Ark fork chain. Ark sends its roots over to Ethereums city and sprouts up Trees where needed, interacting, but going unnoticed, slowly growing over the city. So here we are. Scenarios set. We have our Tree stood there listening to the cars (transactions) race past, thinking ‘bloody hell, nuffin’ interesting today’. He then spots a car his friend back home wants some info on (A Contract execution request). He takes a peak, like a silent spy, and using his sap collects the necessary info, before sending it off. The sap may need to visit other chains, exchange further information, before completing its journey back home. POW = City workers. Keeping the network secure & running, however large events (crypto kitties) can cause workers to become inefficient akin to being late for meetings. Let’s step away from Blockchain systems. DAG (Directed Acyclic Graph) systems – Byteballs, Raiblocks, IOTA. I’m only going to go over this briefly, I know at a basic level how DAG systems work. I don’t know technically how Ark aims to interact with DAG systems, from my reading it’s a fairly simple process, largely the same, but I don’t want to provide false information. Ark will be utilising DAG systems when using interplanetary file systems, so this may help visualising that too. *Please note this is specific to IOTA. DAG systems can be described as a small child playing with K’NEX, it’s as straightforward as that. The child is the coordinator, the K’NEX toy is the ledger. Once the K’NEX project gets big enough it becomes a worldwide phenomenon, becoming everybody’s, no longer under control by that small child. K’NEX connector = These are confirmed transactions. These also have a utility each new transaction checks two other previous transactions, approving and confirming them. Essentially you have your K’NEX model laid out flat on the floor 2D, instead of putting your rods in then your connector, you’re going to come prepared with the connector and rods as one ready to slot in the correct position. That’s how new transactions confirm previous ones. K’NEX rod = The transaction connection, confirmation and approval representation K’NEX motors / gears = Smart contract functionality. Ark would hope to utilise this in IPFS, breaking up data, decentralising it, encrypting it then churning it out for us more efficiently than any service could today. File hosting, live streaming and many more services will be impacted by this change regardless of Ark’s course. Taking inspiration from Today’s examples imagine a child sitting among the branches (chains) holding their K'NEX model (IPFS DAG system). This kid must be in a maple tree as there’s Sap all over the model and chains, that means contract executions and coin swaps going on! Hopefully you get the picture, if it gets up and running it could become a substantial revenue boost, and Ark would be in a type of first mover role, but that’s investor talk. I hope I’ve sparked your imagination, if you think you can improve or offer any corrections please do. |

| title | The decking’s looking dirty – A look at Ark’s negatives. |
| body | Staring into the abyss below, you won’t find any moon talk here. An objective look at the negatives of investing in Ark. I’ll jump right in. Perhaps the most obvious, critical and frustrating critique of Ark is its marketing. I’m a firm believer of Tech before hype, but it’s become increasingly apparent that in a market as hyped & reactive as this, those who shout the loudest win. It’s important to have the tech too, but it doesn’t always have to be great, or even exist yet, as IOTA and Cardano have shown. Both use existing tech but market to great effect, with that added pinch of luck. Ethereum itself bumbled along until it announced its ‘Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA) and showcased the utility to the world in the form of ICOs. There are a number of complaints brought up about Ark’s marketing strategy, or lack of. To begin, the team has vast reserves; they have rainy day funds for the long, long term future of Ark, and keep 52.5% of their money aside for development, by law. Their certainly isn’t as much liquid money as some shout about, but there needn’t be, $250,000 would go a long way. Hire 3 – 4 top notch marketing professionals, sales executives, a spokesperson!! etc. Have them attend conferences, respond to online outlets, speak to businesses, run new bounty campaigns - aimed at attracting developers, increasing usage. Effectively, let the developers crack on without worry & support, & improve, the existing marketing team. They may very well be trying to do this, believe it or not its relatively hard to recruit effectively for blockchain start-ups. SALT itself has had a director role open for the last 2 months, salary circ. £100,000. Good professionals are less likely to take the risk with start-ups in the cryptosphere. It’s a vicious circle of sorts; little exposure maintains little confidence that makes it hard to recruit. The lack of vocal, clear vision from the team doesn’t help. It’s certainly possible to market what Ark has, but when quizzed on specifics, it’d become a hard job very quickly. It appears to me at least that the team doesn’t particularly want to market yet. The blockchain & delegate node have some bugs & security issues that will hopefully be solved when ArkcoreV2 comes out. Although, again, developers haven’t inspired confidence that this will happen. It also seems that they are satisfied with price, confident of adoption when tech arrives. With all that in mind I think it’s important to refer to the EEA point once again, Ethereum had the tech, the ability, a slow growing presence, and then It catapulted upon announcement. I feel as if a similar scenario will occur with Ark; however timing is of the essence for the investor. The crypto market will grow substantially over the course of the next two years. Will the Ark move fast enough to give investors that return? No clear vision from the team is another frustrating negative feature of investing in Ark. Most importantly concise, understandable, clarification is needed; how Ark will be used and derives value? Will it be used for transaction fees, a sort of Gas for the ecosystem? Will it be used as a trust less currency with built in coin swap function? From my reading it’s a yes to both, but it’s not relayed effectively. If that the case then DPoS interest could provide a great return for investors, the interest covering transaction fees, operating ACES node fees etc. Some minor complaints have been found about lack of progress on Technical documentation (25% complete), but this will be updated alongside the new core, with any hope! I wouldn’t place too much stress or worry about lack of progress on this feature. An additional whitepaper updates has been promised, to represent project advancements, but no release yet. However this is my issue, make that apparent to investors, put the ‘Tech docu..’ square at the bottom of the roadmap, with a note explaining the ongoing issue, transparent, informative & engaging for the community. Ark’s DPoS system is routinely touted as the gold standard of DPOS systems. A few articles have been bandied about that doubt the integrity of the system, Vitalik recently posted his thoughts. We’ve had no rebuttal. This is the crux of the issue, it may be that Vitalik is incorrect, but new users, sweaty palmed investors don’t see any correction, who’s right who’s wrong. Oh I’ll place my money in something safe. We lose investment, we lose progress. One way to increase progress, exposure would be new exchange listings; I only have a couple of minor complaints in this department. Ark seems to have its own vision for coin swaps, exchanging and trades but it doesn’t make sense to distance the project from traditional exchange sites and pair with small exchanges. I can’t shake the feeling that more could be done, the wallets should have a buy Ark function, similar to the Byteballs wallet, this would massively increase user adoption and maybe that’s what their recent Blockport partnership, partly, aims to solve. I think Ark’s vision will pay off here, 3 new exchange announcements were made in December, with USDT & USD pairs. Patience needed. However, what’s truly worrisome is the lack of foresight regarding ArkVM. ArkVM on the mainchain is necessary for trust-less coin swaps, the assumption was that this would happen automatically. This has been thrown into doubt recently which would spell disaster for Ark’s value. The community has contingency plans, and the devs seem responsive and reactive to the community’s concerns, but needing to have these conversations throw doubt into investor minds. Finally, Arkcore update can’t come soon enough. Technical bugs, security flaws and high transaction & voting fees are quietly hindering the coin. Delegate nodes drop from time to time, and the blockchain is lagging behind. I think this much needed update, plus the team’s contentment at current market cap price, are leaving the team to delay solid marketing for the project |

It’s certainly possible to market what Ark has, but when quizzed on specifics, it’d become a hard job very quickly.\nIt appears to me at least that the team doesn’t particularly want to market yet. The blockchain & delegate node have some bugs & security issues that will hopefully be solved when ArkcoreV2 comes out. Although, again, developers haven’t inspired confidence that this will happen. It also seems that they are satisfied with price, confident of adoption when tech arrives.\n\nWith all that in mind I think it’s important to refer to the EEA point once again, Ethereum had the tech, the ability, a slow growing presence, and then It catapulted upon announcement. I feel as if a similar scenario will occur with Ark; however timing is of the essence for the investor. The crypto market will grow substantially over the course of the next two years. Will the Ark move fast enough to give investors that return?\n\n\n\nNo clear vision from the team is another frustrating negative feature of investing in Ark. \n\nSome minor complaints have been found about lack of progress on Technical documentation (25% complete), but this will be updated alongside the new core, with any hope! I wouldn’t place too much stress or worry about lack of progress on this feature. An additional whitepaper updates has been promised, to represent project advancements, but no release yet.\n However this is my issue, make that apparent to investors, put the ‘Tech docu..’ square at the bottom of the roadmap, with a note explaining the ongoing issue, transparent, informative & engaging for the community. \n\nArk’s DPoS system is routinely touted as the gold standard of DPOS systems. \n\nOne way to increase progress, exposure would be new exchange listings; I only have a couple of minor complaints in this department. Ark seems to have its own vision for coin swaps, exchanging and trades but it doesn’t make sense to distance the project from traditional exchange sites and pair with small exchanges. \nI can’t shake the feeling that more could be done, the wallets should have a buy Ark function, similar to the Byteballs wallet, this would massively increase user adoption and maybe that’s what their recent Blockport partnership, partly, aims to solve. I think Ark’s vision will pay off here, 3 new exchange announcements were made in December, with USDT & USD pairs. Patience needed. \n\n\n\nHowever, what’s truly worrisome is the lack of foresight regarding ArkVM. ArkVM on the mainchain is necessary for trust-less coin swaps, the assumption was that this would happen automatically. This has been thrown into doubt recently which would spell disaster for Ark’s value. The community has contingency plans, and the devs seem responsive and reactive to the community’s concerns, but needing to have these conversations throw doubt into investor minds.\n\nFinally, Arkcore update can’t come soon enough. Technical bugs, security flaws and high transaction & voting fees are quietly hindering the coin. Delegate nodes drop from time to time, and the blockchain is lagging behind.\nI think this much needed update, plus the team’s contentment at current market cap price, are leaving the team to delay solid marketing for the project",

| title | ARK 2018 Price Prediction - Q1 - Q3 updates & more. |
| body | ‘ ARK Gives no dates, we just deliver!’ - Ark's self proclaiming motto The Ark ecosystem project and its developers have one of the most ambitious and user friendly roadmaps in the crypto market today. However time-frames / deadlines are left somewhat ambiguous, partly in an effort to avoid hype, but also to relieve pressure on the team. Developers complete projects frequently and give updates consistently, but the roadmap technicals are set in percentages. As we've seen with the infamous mobile wallets, stuck at 98% for what seemed like an eternity, we just don’t know when releases will happen. It makes it hard as a day trader, but can also upset long term investor confidence. So we attempt to derive predictions based on what we know. Q1 (Jan - Mar) 2018: Price change $7 - $25 80% confident We will see Ark's price spring up alongside the growing market, come March updates may see the fiat price rise substantially & Btc price return to last summer levels (120k). Jan - Feb: Mobile Wallet release for sure. Big improvement, not even Ethereum has its own mobile wallet. You want to achieve mass adoption, you need this. *70% of all internet traffic comes through a mobile, it’ll bring Ark to many more people. May see drastic improvement on NFC (82% complete) wouldn’t count on it, as it's been at 82% since before September. It’s closely related to mobile wallets, but Ark has much more ambitious plans for NFC than just mobile tid bits. Feb - Mar: Rumors of Ark CoreV2 release (Started Nov 15th 25% complete)Over a ¼ done already, rattling through it, added developers to the team too. They are set to have ICO projects running by March (Persona). I’ve heard its heads down, all focus is on the core that, will resolve many minor issues. See https://blog.ark.io/re-engineering-of-the-ark-core-9e69a2b5d70a for a detailed rundown. Expected completion date Mid Feb – Mid Mar The core update may be coming quickly but I think that the release of ArkVM (60% rapid progress made since announcement in late June) will arrive just as quick. We'll likely see one released after the other, within a couple of weeks. The percentages may shoot up very quickly too, pushable blockchains received an 8% bump last week, out of nowhere. Projects / ICO’s need the ArkVM, they also need the new core, (they will have to rewrite code to use the new core so developers may think it’s better to wait) but without the VM nothing substantial can happen. Vm will use solidity, I think they’ll have no trouble attracting people and projects. Struggling to get noticed due to the hundreds of other ether tokens? Come over to Ark, all the same languages, with proof of stake and no bloat worry! Mar - April: Once the Core and ARKVM have been deployed it’s clear that the team will turn their attention towards the Deployment of Testnet Clones for Start-Ups (75%) & Push Button Deployable Blockchains (61%). Persona, the latest ARK ICO project, aims to have a testnet in Feb & mainnet running by early March. It’s expected that these two goals will need to be completed before this can happen, and given the close ties the team has with Persona I hope that the given dates are accurate. Q2 (Apr - Jun ) 2018: Price Change $25 - $60 50% confident I can only give a general idea of what will happen during this period. If we follow the natural market cycle we will do quite well regardless, but updates should see the project take full flow. Start-ups and ICO’s will launch. Persona itself will fund 10 other start-up projects! Hopefully we will see an Ethereum bull style run, with a floor of $60. ACES - An ongoing delegate member /u/Rayno / community project; enabling decentralised trustless coin swaps, automatic contract execution in multiple currencies, in browser metamask like wallet & much more. A marketplace will be set up so that vendors can offer their swaps. By now it should be chugging along quite nicely, already has bridges with Eth & Btc, I know that a bridge with Raiblocks (XRB) is in the works, and a bunch of others. Persona aims to have a smartbridge to Eth by Q2. It’ll work like this: say you only own Doge coins, you want to buy an Etheremon, you’d have to visit an exchange hope for a buyer etc etc. With Ark you just buy and execute the contract through them and you have your Etheremon. Easy peasy. Exchanges & Fiat pairs – ARK has an ongoing goal to be listed on more and more exchanges, and a real aim to list fiat pairs. They have announced many new exchange listings, more recent exchanges offering fiat tether pairs. Bianance USDT, maybe fiat pair. Definite pairs Blockport (Advisor to), Coss (Partnership), OKEx USDT. These are quietly confirmed, I’m sure a few more will be in the pipelines. The community is pretty active in lobbying coin exchanges, but its the team that lands the big ones. Q3 & Q4: Anybody's guess. I personally think that if the project takes off ICO’s & the like, we’ll see $150 - $500 range, otherwise we’ll stabilize around $40. Still a hefty return. My research and analysis is based on the Ark roadmap, various project roadmaps, interviews, slack, discord, reddit, technical analysis. Site: Ark.io My favorite exchange: Bianance, decent volume, offers ETH, USDT & LTC pairs. *https://www.ciodive.com/news/70-of-internet-traffic-comes-from-mobile-phones/510120/ |

| title | Ark Delegate system, DPoS, Questioned by Vitalik |
| body | http://vitalik.ca/general/2017/12/17/voting.html A technical run down on Blockchain governance. Vitalik gives a detailed rundown on various blockchain goverance methods used today. EOS, NEO, LSK, TEZOS, ARK. He critiques Ark under the section 'Game-theoretic attacks', then goes onto to state; 'It’s worth noting that this section is not a prediction that all tightly coupled voting systems will quickly succumb to bribe attacks. It’s entirely possible that many will survive for one simple reason: all of these projects have founders or foundations with large premines, and these act as large centralized actors that are interested in their platforms’ success that are not vulnerable to bribes, and hold enough coins to outweigh most bribe attacks. However, this kind of centralized trust model, while arguably useful in some contexts in a project’s early stages, is clearly one that is not sustainable in the long term.' Have a read come back and chat, I'd love to know why its not a sustainable model. I think utilising ARK's side chains could slove some of the issues Vitalik has. |
