| title | Reasons why EOS is a disaster? |
| body |

So a friend of mine shared this article: Cryptocurrency Investor Gives “13 Reasons Why” EOS Is a Disaster. So basically James Spediacci wrote 13 reasons on twitter on why EOS is a disaster and this article picks a select few reasons which James tweeted. I thought I would outline the points of criticism the author wrote about and give my take on them.

To start off with, everything mentioned, well most of it, was known before the ico started. So nothing really new. Seems like James did not read the white paper of blockone blogs ecc before investing, if he did invest that is.

9/ This may be changed but yes I think this is still like this. But what better way to get people to use the coin? Anyway, BP voting is pretty straightforward and free. This does not only get the people to use the coin but would also get more people to vote hence increasing democracy for everyone.

10/ Yes this was known beforehand. Also they stipulated that the money was going to blockone and that is it. It is not to create the blockchain or anything like that. So basically we knew about this over a year ago.

11/ Bots will be bots and people are good at estimating how much money could be made. The people who could not buy in the ico did not for 1 main reason... their governments did not let them buy icos. 2 some people do not know how to invest in an ico and may find it easier to buy from exchanges. It's more the gov that you need to blame for creating a shortage.

12A/ This is a bit misleading. The $10 staked creates a new account. This account can then be used with any dapp. The dev can then decide if he will either bare the cost or push it onto the user. Don't see any issue here. At least you don't need to pay for every transaction you make.

5/ Yes this is correct, this is by design. Again that is why it is important to have a diversity with regards to who are the 21 BPS. If BPs collude then this is an issue. Also if BPs are not culturally correct for the blockchain than this can also be an issue. I do not necessarily agree to the fullest with the algorithm used for elections. Whales are an issue but I hope that this will be fixed in the future.

6/ Gov can make a BP seize and desist and that is why it is important to have BPs setup in various locations. Some governments will embrace blockchain and EOS and some will not.

There are things I would like to see and/or change in EOS so I am not saying it is perfect but keep in mind it is still evolving. The referendum system and Arbitrators on the blockchain for starters. Also ideally the referendum would trigger a smart contract beforehand. Even better, for any change, the BPs wanted to make a similar procedure where data is only changed if a smart contract is triggered, which makes the changes, through referendums. The voting system could be tweaked but then again if more people voted then this would not be as much of an issue.

I love EOS, I think the concept is great and we just need to wait a couple of years until we really see what this can do.

|

| title | EOS/XBT (BTC) head and shoulders forming 02/10/18 Update 4 |
| body |

Sideways, up, down and all around. The initial Head and Shoulder (HS) pattern seems to have completed followed by a bounce on the neckline. The price currently is possibly moving back towards the neckline once more after the drastic drop seen on 30/09, before heading right back to the center of the rising channel drawn on the "initial" HS pattern.

I say initial since the right shoulder and then after price action seems to have formed a second HS pattern. This is marked by the red HS TA in the chart below.

If you take a look at update 3, the previous post, I have now removed the yellow target lines since price action (PA) has moved passed this target.

I have added 3 purple possible movement lines. One of which bounces off the yellow support, one on the new target turquoise line and finally one on the strong support dashed red line.
Another thing to note is the reduced selling volume on this exchange(Kraken). Looking at EOS/BTC on Binance, the volume situation is quite different seeing a relatively equal amount of buying and selling volume.

I still have an expectation that there will be a drop that is coming up on this pair and will look at this closely. Once, and if, there is a break and confirmation of a drop, i.e. current support turns resistance, the drop will probably be quite fast.

Short term expectation : EOS/XBT bearish.

Long term expectation: EOS/XBT bullish.

This is what is happening now and sentiment can change in a heart beat. News can come out and people may react rationally or irrationally towards it. It has happened in the past and will happen again sometime, someday.

Remember, this is not financial advice, some people say technical analysis does not work, and there are times that patterns do not complete or complete and do the opposite of what it "should". If you have not come to your own conclusion that you should short or go long then do not do it.

Peace, Love, Crypto.

|

| body |

The moves on this chart are quite incredible and for the short term trader some nice profits could have been made.

I am following this nice Head and Shoulder (HS) pattern which is developing and it seems like we should be close to the completion of the pattern. If all goes accordingly and the neckline is breached followed either by a retest of the neckline or a flat out drop in price, we could be looking at quite a drop.

This is the chart from update 2 without any update to any of TA.

What can we see?

A short break of the neckline which the bulls quickly overcame on the 18th September.

The horizontal red line is where I was expecting a break for the HS pattern since this would for the most symmetrical pattern, though these patterns are rarely ever perfectly symmetrical. Instead this point acted as the touch and breach of the high of the right shoulder. A short entry here would have been both aggressive and correct.

After the horizontal red line some candle sticks showing uncertainty in direction followed by a sharp drop.

What could happen?

A break of the neckline followed by a drop in price.

A bounce on the neckline followed by a hike in prices which would mean a failed HS pattern.

The following is an updated chart with the new price action.

I have taken a step back and zoomed out to better show what possibilities lie ahead if indeed the neckline is breached and the price continues to drop.

So what would the target to buy back into EOS be. Generally the expected dip if there are enough bears in the market would be 1.5 times the height from the top of the head to the left shoulder. This is the semi green horizontal line market at 0.00046520 satoshi. However before that we would need to break through:

The solid red horizontal line at 0.00073095 satoshi where I suspect we may see some rebounding action.

The horizontal line marked as Very Strong Support (VSS). This line has proven to be support in July, August and December 2017 and January and March 2018.

If the 2nd comes true and the VSS is breached we could see the full potential of the HS target be reached.

Do I think this will happen and VSS will be breached followed by the target and the Support and Strong Support. Realistically no. However it is possible. This does not necessarily mean that EOS is losing value. It could mean that bitcoin has just shot up and a possible decoupling of the movement of cryptos.... but that's a different discussion and would require it's own post entirely.

So what is my current position. I have been a bit aggressive and have flipped a small portion of my EOS into BTC . EOS holder for life :)

The next step. I will be looking at the VSS line to see what price action (PA) goes on around that area since my target is the green line just below. That is where I will consider flipping back into EOS.

Peace, Love, Crypto.

|

| title | EOS - Where does the power lie |
| body |

I have been following EOS since its inception and am very excited about this project. The community just keeps on growing the closer we get to booting the main net.

I myself am interested in supporting the network and becoming a block producer (BP) but when seeing all the effort that is being made by others I just stay on the sidelines.

And this brings me to my point. BP candidates.

When I thought of becoming a BP I thought, great, I would start out using an online service like AWS to get a feel of what the network needs to run and function and as the returns start coming in then upgrade and buy the necessary equipment and set up a few servers in Malta. Give a reliable long term service and be grateful to the community for voting for me to provide such a good service. Don't get me wrong I do appreciate all the community focused projects BPs are coming up with and if the money is good enough to cover expenses and allow to do this full time I would do the same but I want to be behind the infrastructure and not doing interviews with EOSGo, love your work by the way, and others to campaign.

And what really gets to me is when I hear block producers stating "Since we have the power", "We have power on the EOS BC" and the sorts just gives me bad vibes and makes me wonder if these people really understand what having a decentralized block chain really is. Especially with what is built into EOS.

Think about Bitcoin. The end user is powerless against the miners, though some may state otherwise. And generally speaking so are the smaller miners. The direction taken by a few moves the progress of the BC to certain directions.

With EOS this is different, at least in my understanding. A BP is not guaranteed a mining spot indefinitely and each and every EOS token holder can elect a different producer every 2 mins and 06 seconds (if I am not mistaken). So wait, BPs don't really have any real power, only a duty. That duty is running the BC for 126 seconds be grateful for the opportunity.

I do feel that we could have BPs who blind people with nice words and good marketing tactics in order to get votes. Now this is not bad if your think about but brings along an issue. That marketing will cost money. Money which would be better spent by smaller BPs to bring their equipment up to a level which is viable for them to also become a reliable BP.

Wouldn't it be interesting if a BP could not be a BP (one of the 21 delegates) for more than a certain value dependent on the number of viable BPs proportion at the time.

So as a very vague but hopefully clearer example. To my understanding the current system works as follows. Currently : Given there are 10000 BPs. Out of these the top 21 are picked by way of voting as the delegated BPs (DBP). They do a good job, the community is happy and they are voted in again. The scenario continues and these same BPs keep getting voted in. And this is a possible scenario in EOS.

So the inflation rate (block reward) is given to these BPs. They keep upgrading their equipment and doing their job well. All well and good. But what about the other 9979? If the others are great BPs but lack the marketing skill then they will never be voted in. You could say, well their loss, but I would say it's our loss. As these BPs keep getting voted in they will continue to grow, team and infrastructure, and the gap between the DBPs and the 9979 will continue to grow. This scares me a bit since it seems to be making whoever comes out on top even bigger and making the barrier of entry greater day by day, week by week.

What if we could, as in the EOS DPOS could, include a cooling off period for BPs dependant on how many eligible BPs are available. So there are (24 x 60 x 60) / 206 = approx 419 BP slots per day. Each BP slot contains 21 BPs 419 x 21 = 8799 BPs needed per day. So technically nearly every BP could get a chance to be part of the delegates. Now granted most BPs will probably not be sufficient at being a BP you would want to run the network but then again that is why there is voting. If a BP could not run for more than 1 turn every 5 slots for example this would multiply the number of paid and growing BPs by 5. And if all spend their money into infrastructure then the network would be much stronger and collusion less likely.

The only reason I think of these things is purely due to watching the BP interviews and the feeling that people are just looking to grab that pole position to being the BP that everyone votes for. Reminds me of election time when any party will say anything to be put in power.

And please do not think I am talking down or ill of the BP candidates. I think the work they are doing is really good both for the network to get started and also for getting the word out that EOS is amazing. It is more that it is not the way I imagined it to be. I didn't think there would be ever growing factions looking to recruit people and give back to their community. I more imagined it to be everyone pitching into EOS rather then people pitching into corporations (the BPs not DACs who are looking to making EOS better) to pitch into EOS.

Maybe it will be more of a wait and see approach and I am sure that the community will be able to sort out any issues along the way through voting.

Note: Keep up all the good work to all those making this happen. EOS + Blockone, BP candidates, Dapp producers, Youtubers ecc. Can't wait for the launch. GO EOS :)

Tell me your thoughts on the topic. Do you agree, disagree, have a different idea on how this should work?

|

And if all spend their money into infrastructure then the network would be much stronger and collusion less likely.
\n
The only reason I think of these things is purely due to watching the BP interviews and the feeling that people are just looking to grab that pole position to being the BP that everyone votes for. Reminds me of election time when any party will say anything to be put in power.
\n
And please do not think I am talking down or ill of the BP candidates. I think the work they are doing is really good both for the network to get started and also for getting the word out that EOS is amazing. It is more that it is not the way I imagined it to be. I didn't think there would be ever growing factions looking to recruit people and give back to their community. I more imagined it to be everyone pitching into EOS rather then people pitching into corporations (the BPs not DACs who are looking to making EOS better) to pitch into EOS.
\n
Maybe it will be more of a wait and see approach and I am sure that the community will be able to sort out any issues along the way through voting.
\n
Note: Keep up all the good work to all those making this happen. EOS + Blockone, BP candidates, Dapp producers, Youtubers ecc. Can't wait for the launch. GO EOS :)
\n
Tell me your thoughts on the topic. Do you agree, disagree, have a different idea on how this should work?
\n
",
