| body | Welcome to Steemit nicksteele. Let me know if you got any questions about Steem or anything related to it! The official FAQ can be found here and has A LOT of information https://steemit.com/faq.html - Also remember, Steemit is just ONE of the sites built that uses Steem the blockchain. We also have DTube - our very own Youtube, DSound for Soundcloud and Steepshot if you prefer Instagram like experience. I'd also like to mention ChainBB - forums, Busy - Steemit with more modern look basically, DMania for memes and Dlive for streaming just like in Twitch! You can also earn Steem by gaming now! Search for Steemgar if that's more your thing. Welcome to the blockchain! :) |

| body | Hello everyone! I would consider myself on the track to being successful (in transition), but I'm currently a failure. I would say I'm a failure in my own standards. I haven't reached the business goals I have wanted, nor have I attained the monetary goals either. I'm just the average ignorant citizen of the world fighting his way through this capitalist system we currently live in. Let me tell you something... it's a secret... a BIGLY secret... so secret that I'd die telling you it, but I'll tell you anyway! I'll tell my secret in story form, and start back in 2007... In 2007, I used to think this college game in United States was just a scam (and I still do, but more on that another time). To take out a guaranteed loan for POTENTIAL to make more money, where it should be known that most people won't be able to do that. So, what did I do? I went to freaking college. Why? I wanted to get out of the home I was in. That's as far as I'll go on my less than stellar family life right now, but before that I sold candy in high school (against school rules, apparently) and ate away my profits, literally. I wasn't taught financial self-control and I didn't have any natural self-control, even though I would have made 80+ per day in profits (I did, but then had to pay off random things). Fast forward this bad habit to college, where I had a "double" full ride somehow and took out loans and I received refund checks, and then blew it on some stupid woman I liked at the time and friends that were all around me for the money. I was a stupid fucking idiot, I know. Fat forward to me being homeless and in the college town sleeping on desks in the college of Engineering in Carbondale, as us people without homes do, and I still had my goal of running a business, a successful one. Here I was, with the audacity to want success after being stupid with money. And I mean really fucking stupid. I mean, I learned how to hold on to nearly every penny after that, but the mistakes I made in 2008 - 2011 cost me even till today. Anyway, here's the hot take so I won't bore you with the things I did to not be homeless, to eat, and to just get to the next level.... I was freaking broke and somehow started to work at this one start-up tech company that eventually ran out of money and didn't pay me anymore just when I thought I wasn't broke and on success. Here's the story of my life: Step 1) Have the idiotic audacity to think the American "dream" is real and hope for success Step 2) Either full-out go toward that, balls to the fucking wall, or do multiple things at once in shot-gun fashion Step 3) Get some success to pull me out of the "kiddy" job(s) I work at, whether I stay there or not Step 4) Feel the wrath of Zeus, Allah, Jesus, the Devil and their cousins and get OWNED through some freak accident and start to fail Step 5) Struggle to keep my head above water Yep... I mean the most successful thing I've done was mentor 2 people to become millionaires and not get a penny for it, or when I asked them to assist me in some advice like I gave them I was told "I did it on my own. You were simply there to as motivation." So yeah, the ole, "Go fucking fuck yourself harder than you can imagine" treatment. Here are just a FEW of my endeavors: 1) Ghostwriting (moderate success, but most people don't want to pay much at all) 2) Editing (same as above) 3) Resume writing / cover letter / career coaching (longest running and most successful thing I've done other than crypto, but crypto has only been recent so I'm holding my breath) 4) Work in a daycare (never again) 5) Working at some autoparts place (I had to walk really, really far once they just relocated me and cut my hours. Yeah, that was reaaaaaaaaaal nice ;) so many hours in below zero weather. I think about 3 or more if memory serves me correctly)) 6) Blah blah blah... My current goals: 1) To establish a readership for a few books I am working on that I intend to make some into comics. Those comics I hope will compete with other characters as the strongest in all of fiction, or I could fail miserably, even more than one of my characters trapped in nothing but whiteness and being fed rat food failed to escape 2) To maybe start my own trending tag called "superpost" on this here site called Steemit so that I can have something linked to me. Basically, a "superpost" is just a random assortment of shit thoughts that have some theme related to either life, my writing or something you all want to see in the comments below 3) Get rich and live easy after taking on the whole entire political establishment, but realistically I'd get sniped before that happens, so I'm probably not going to do that If any of this appealed to you and you like my shit thoughts of an average citizen of the world, just follow me, throw a like, and comment below. Or don't, because I don't need success. Nope... Not at all.... 0_o |

| body | Real life #2: The "true" love (NOTE: fictional rendition of real life scenarios!) You meet someone, whether you're in a relationship with someone else or single. That person you meet just happens to mesh well with your being. When you hear them talk, you melt at their words, whether they are talking about calculus or a donkey's purpose on the planet. AKA, you don't even have to understand them, but you know it's important, so you feel good about them having something important to talk about. You chit-chat here, and have deep talks there, and they are mainly good, with virtually no real negatives even when you disagree. Yeah, they might be a challenge, but you like those. Or maybe they are not, and you like those. Regardless, that person appears to complete you. They share their thoughts about how there is no such thing as the one, and while you agree, your heart is telling you they are. As time moves on, you two gradually grow closer together, through fun times, the angry times and through your shared tears of pain when working through past trauma. You two grow and push, pull and tumble, but you do it "together." Separate, but as a unit, so you two are more powerful together than you are apart. When this magic meets, others can see it. Sometimes people may say you two seem like siblings, other times you may be romantic tigers looking for the next meal - no matter the weird, wacky or accurate interpretation of you two, your love is real and you two continuously push passed your disagreements and melt away in the joy of each other's presence. You two could literally do nothing but breath and sit in a room or outdoors and you would have had one of the best days you've had so far. It is then you realize that you love this person, and they - you. The magic has happened and you will do many things for that love. ----- What do you think? |

| body | Real life #1: The pseudo-friend This happens very often, for whatever reason. Cuz we human in here! And humans are silly lol! The moment your entire friendship was built on the pretense of them getting into a relationship with you, so they waited for their chance on the side-lines. But then, they saw an "opening" but it didn't work out the way the planned so the flip out on you because you were a "big fat meanie" and hurt their feelings for not seeing them as relationship material the entire time and you were "playing games" with this woman or this guy while they waited on you to "get your mind together." During the time they watched you as you had sex with other people, their fantasies grew to such an extent that they became hype over your presence and put you on a pedistal you don't belong on. While it's nice to be appreciated, it's never good to literal feel like you're holding someone's life in your hands, when you don't even feel deep emotions in that way for them. They accuse you of leading them on, although you have been pretty upfront about how you've felt about them, as friends. You wanted to stay friends, and then you start questioning yourself and thinking, "Should I even attempted dating my friend?" Then you realize that if it didn't happen now, it would have been a point in your life that you "needed" them and they would have left you hanging, as they were not a real friend to begin with and looked at you with fantastical eyes. (Not to be confused with a true friend that needs time to recover from their hurt heart after getting their hopes up and then things not working out). At the end of it all, you are left with a few options. A) You try to salvage a friendship for the sake of living in the illusion that it was real, OR making an actual real friendship out of the ashes of the lust they had for you B) Try your best to forget them, and depending on how close they were to your heart, dampen the pain of loss by getting involved with new people or a new activity C) Give in to their demand and fake a relationship with them for as long as you can bare to hold on to their fake friendship and maybe you can develop real feelings. Likely won't happen if they don't calm down their hype, but possible. Then you see the true option. Leave them alone and with time, maybe they will see you for a real human being, but at that time, it won't even be that serious to be their friend anymore because you'd have moved on. --------- What do you all think of this? #LoveLiesNear |

(Not to be confused with a true friend that needs time to recover from their hurt heart after getting their hopes up and then things not working out).\n\nAt the end of it all, you are left with a few options.\n\nA) You try to salvage a friendship for the sake of living in the illusion that it was real, OR making an actual real friendship out of the ashes of the lust they had for you\n\nB) Try your best to forget them, and depending on how close they were to your heart, dampen the pain of loss by getting involved with new people or a new activity\n\nC) Give in to their demand and fake a relationship with them for as long as you can bare to hold on to their fake friendship and maybe you can develop real feelings. Likely won't happen if they don't calm down their hype, but possible.\n\nThen you see the true option. Leave them alone and with time, maybe they will see you for a real human being, but at that time, it won't even be that serious to be their friend anymore because you'd have moved on.\n\n---------\n\nWhat do you all think of this?\n\n#LoveLiesNear",

| body | The news is all ablaze about Bitcoin, and if you head over to coinmarketcap.com, you can see just how dominant bitcoin is over the rest of the coins. This is really just due to media hype. People have done this with Nike and Coca-cola. When people won't a soft drink, they may say "I want a coke" but really mean something else. At this point, we have a marketing problem. Not saying that Bitcoin is bad, but Litecoin does it so much better, from the speed to the cost. Litecoin will be the one to go with. Ethereum is literally the one bringing all (many) of the new coins to market. They are the operating system that we need, and they should be much higher in the list. For whatever reason, Ethereum and the others are just not cutting it against Bitcoin, and here's why I think that's the case. 1 - Bitcoin was the first to market, and the one people constantly called "fake" or "that will never happen." So even though people that haven't even paid attention will know the name bitcoin instead of even the term "cryptocurrency." That's how ubiquitous that is. 2 - There is controversy / mystery upon its origins, so people are able to hype it up and make up their own narrative as to how it was created. This hype bubble keeps bitcoin going. Even though transaction times on bitcoin are longer, and they are more expensive, people don't care. They just want to know more. We should have learned this with the original iPhone being so high compared to other smartphones. People don't care about the price if they have the correct marketing / hype. 3 - The coin / token companies always use bitcoin as THE standard. I understand some of them want to pass up bitcoin, but from what I recall as a coach, I don't talk about the other team that we want to beat too much, I talk about the championship or the further goal of improvement. I think the pure mention of bitcoin by these companies / coins keeps bitcoin at the top. ------- What do you think? Do you agree? I'd like to hear your thoughts below. Like, comment, share! |

| body | I've decided that I'm going to post a collection of some very powerful statuses I see down my timeline on facebook here. I would like to say they should either earn the content creator an income, or spark a decent conversation. I'll post them here, and if you like them, please like share and comment. Enjoy! #1 - Is that relevant?! by Cheryl D. Oh my God, why do I even look at Facebook! Who here thinks that "All lives matter" is a relevant come back to "black lives matter?" This doesn't make any sense! This is like somebody trying to fundraise for breast cancer awareness and you standing up and saying all diseases matter! We're focusing on the f****** breast cancer right now because it needs the focus! We're focusing on black lives because that's what we're protesting! It IS racist to say this! The fact that you can't see that shows that racism is an unconscious thing deeply instilled in the minds of humanity hense the reason for the term "black lives matter." Speak up! Who here thinks this is a relevant come back? #2 - Satisfied in Heart by Jeri T. What satisfies your heart and soul will not always meet other people's expectations. But, you have to stay true to yourself. It's your life. Live it...❤️ #3 - Who's paying?! by Kire W. Ladies, your guy tells you he has $50. You have $200. You both decide to go out to eat and the bill is $47.87. Who pays 👀? #4 - Perspective by Nekaiya M. So true! Men aint exempt from this. Ladies if he isn't tidy, he's either lazy as hell or focused on something more important. Perspective is key! #5 - Working Hard by Brandon G. While everyone else is busy worrying about the next man and standing still, focus on yourself and put in that work. You'll be surprised how far ahead of the crowd you can position yourself. 🌀 Share, comment! |

| body | As a coach, I have seen so many teams fail 100% of the time because they started off with a negative motivation. That is, a negative mindset. I have worked under Joe Newton, the winningest High School cross country coach in the nation. He was so dominant, 28 state cross country titles in 50 years (43 total including second and third). He also won 27 national titles. How does / did he and others win? They started with a positive motivation. When everyone knows the workouts, when they know the rules, or the knew the percentage gains for a decision they make, this is the difference. We tend to think that shaming people into improvement will work, but that only works as a supplement *and* if they already believe in you. The other type of motivation is anger, but it must be directed toward a positive direction. *B-b-but only some will WIN!* Yes, only one team wins, a few win in investment, etc.... But! When I coached under Mr. Newton, and have witnessed other teams, this is what I found with positivity focused teams. For the most part, each person improves! Improvement leads to eventual "winning" success if the stars align, but improvement means realistic daily success. **How can this be applied?** It can be used to combat those people that say a thing will "never change," or that "black people can't never do ANYTHING together!" Untrue, both statements, and starting off there will give you a continuous feedback loop of failure. Some will "succeed", yes, but most will be stuck. Let's instead say, "you can get what you're going after" but you have to work hard at it. "You are a hard working group of people!" "You can do it!" Then we can say things like, "if you don't work together and find the right team, you'll be stuck, but you have to find them" and "Are you really going to let yourself and your family / friends / love ones down like that? I'm disappointed..." This is just a start of the formula. Stay tuned for future posts! Like, comment, follow and resteem! |

| body | Let's talk about the positives going on in the world. If you would like to submit a scoop, please drop some positives below. Otherwise, enjoy! --------- September 19, 2017 It seems like the cryptocurrency market has recovered after experiencing a bit of FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) evoked by the establishment and our lovely friend and founder of Litecoin. But after level heads have taken over, has the crypto market actually recovered? Short answer, yes. And here's why. We've enough outsiders try to intrude on our market for a while, and we realize that banks and governments are not going down without a fight. I, for one, welcome our expansion. We are moving onwards to a trillion dollar market cap in the future (although we are a ways from that). The good news is this, ICOs are starting to pick up steam again, with the likes of plexcoin, centra and others, and many coins are reaching or exceeding their pre-FUD values. It's still a good time to buy, and it's a great time to HODL (hold) on to the coins / tokens you have! This was a short piece. I'm not a journalist, but I'm learning as it goes (actively reading). I'm here to spread positive news, so please, if you like what you've read, like, comment, follow, and resteem :) See you in the comments section below! -------- Image Source: [HERE](https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/3000715/bitcoin-price-pound-sterling-worth-value) |

| body | In a whispering voice, a man says while rocking back and forth in a padded room, “Courage, victim, slaughter, blood. Courage, victim, slaughter, blood. Courage, victim, slaughter, blood…” “He’s been saying the same thing for two weeks straight; in his sleep, while he’s eating, all the time! We’ve even had to force feed him,” says the warden of the complex, Prison Warden. He is watching and listening to the man in the padded room from the safety of his sky-box. “I think he’s finally cracked,” says prison guard rank 1, Josh Jones. Spitting, the other prison guard, a new recruit named Thomas Mason, says, “He deserves much worse than being in prison. He deserves to suffer after what he’s done to others and what he’s gotten away with for so long!” Prison Warden is an interesting man, in addition to wearing the blue, black, white and gold uniform of the prison complex he also wears a top hat. This just makes him the more eccentric with his stylish glasses. Josh Jones, a man that is 25 years old, wears round glasses that often glare in the light, making him look calculating. Thomas Mason, a very serious looking 21 year old, is very innocent and looks like he is just starting out, wearing normal prison guard clothing. Back in the padded room the prisoner begins speaking louder and louder until he begins to scream out the words, “Courage! Victim! Slaughter! Blood! COURAGE!!! VICTIM!!! SLAUGHTER! BLO-” The alarm blares and the lights flash red and white. Warden says calmly into the P.A. system, “Everyone, proceed with the usual caution. Mr. Savage has lost it, it appears.” The prisoner, Tim Savage, gets taken down while the three men watch from the safety of their sky-box and bullet-proof glass encasing. Warden puts a file containing a DVD on his desk. Warden looks toward his assistant and says, “Josh, lock the door.” Josh locks the door and takes a seat opposite the desk. “Now I know you are a new recruit, Tom, but I have to let you in on a secret.” I'd love to know your opinions. This is a sample of a book of mine called Frozen Hell, but I'm going to make a lite version (between 6 to 12 parts) based on what my readers like. So please, let me know! :) Image Credit: Created by me ;) Like, Comment, resteem, and follow :) |

| body | In a whispering voice, a man says while rocking back and forth in a padded room, “Courage, victim, slaughter, blood.
