      "body": "![obedience.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmYnVmP62Bb7D3fkVzdKTWY8UAfXENGTc7zmAySF3wXm3B/obedience.jpg)Exodus 19:8 NIV\nThe people all responded together, “We will do everything the Lord has said.” \n\nIn the relationship between the people of Israel and God there were many ups and downs.\n\nIn some ways we might describe their relationship as being \"complicated\" not because of God but because of the way the Israelites responded to God.\n\nBut in today's verse we read that the Israelites response was one of consistency, uniformity and obedience.\n\nBecause of the right responses to God the Isrselires had a unique encounter with God that in verses that followed led to them receiving the ten commandments which is one of the important portions of the scripture in the word of God.\n\nToday as a young person you have an opportunity to encounter God, you have an opportunity to encounter him in a way that you will never forget, you have an opportunity to encounter God in a way that will have a lasting impact on your live and cause you to postively impact the lives of others around you.\n\nBut God is looking for you to follow the example of tbe response of the people of Israel.\n\nHe is looking to you as a young person to set yourself apart from the world, to be someone who is uniform, consistent and uniform in their relationship with God.\n\nGod is promising us today that if we begin to change our responses to him he will give us life changing encounters with him.\n\nAre you ready to change and respond correctly to Him?!",

No sooner does he get the job than he must deal with an unpleasant situation—calling upon the tribes of Gad, Reuben, and Manasseh to keep the promise they made to Moses. In addition, Joshua must follow God’s orders and carry out a painful and possibly humiliating task. But he is capable and willing to do what the Lord desires of him as the leader of Israel.\n\nThis portion of the book of Joshua helps answer several other questions:\n1. Is it ever right to lie?\n2. How important is a pure heart? \n3. What should a person do in the face of great opposition?\n\nJoshua’s new job responsibilities included leading more than two million people into a strange new land and conquering it. What a challenge—even for a man of Joshua’s caliber!\n\nEvery new job is a challenge. Without God it can be frightening. With God it can be a great adventure. Just as God was with Joshua, he is with us as we face our new challenges.\n\nYou may not conquer nations, but every day you face tough situations, difficult people, and strong temptations. \n\nHowever, God promises that he will never abandon you or fail to help you (see Deuteronomy 4:31). \n\nAsk God to direct your ways, and you will be able to conquer many of life’s challenges.",
