      "body": "## What is going to happen on august 1st ?\nThe bitcoin blockchain is going to split between the original Bitcoin (XBT) that will adopt SegWit 2x (Segregation witness) and BIP148 (Bitcoin Improvement Proposal 148) and a new bitcoin : Bitcoin Cash (BCH). For XBT, that will solve some of the problems of bitcoins (mostly time of bitcoins transactions). But things are very uncertain for Bitcoin right now. Around 80% of people (this is my own gessing) are backing the Bitcoin Core team wich is behind XBT. But the Chineese group ViaBTC (mostly Bitmain) have decided to make a hard fork that will led to BCH.\nIf you own bitcoins you must know that there's a very high chance that the bitcoin (XBT) price will go down for a while after the split. We are in unknown territorry here, and investers, in general, don't like uncertainty... So (i may be wrong) but i gess it is probably going down for a while then it will start to rise again. So what should you do if you have bitcoins ?\n\n## The safest option : transfer your funds to a solid ledger\nLike Trezor or Ledger Nano S. Your funds will be safe there. Ledger has already announced that they will keep XBT for sure and depending of what is going to happen after august 1st, [they'll propose tools to go for the BCH](https://blog.ledger.co/securing-your-free-bitcoin-cash-stash-d50aff765688) (if users want to).\n\n## Second option : keep your bitcoins on a wallet where you own the private keys\nTypically this means NOT COINBASE guys ! I have sent in a second time 52sbd once the deposit/withdrawn bottoms were unlocked... thinking that once I was sending those money maybe I was unlocking the blocked 514sbd sent the week before. Weird the 52 were blocked too. The bottoms again unavailable for deposit or withdrawn so I have written a ticket to complaint about it. Time 1 or 2 days I got the 52 sbd deposited on my account. I have no idea why but  I am still waiting for the 514 sbd",

It's been a long time that the whole computer as been amortized. So all the money i get is extra-money. I've settled this last year, and all the earning covered more than the price of the machine at the time (the bitcoin was 400$ at the time). All in all it has been more than profitable for me. Plus i keep the bitcoins, as explained. To be true, i also didn't count the extra power needed to make these calculations. But it's still profitable. My MSi graphic card works at 70% of power, 80°C top since february 2016. The real problem is the heat it produces while working...",

My articles aim at making the best out of these machines.\n\nBefore you start, if you're not sure with the material installed in your Desktop machine, [you can check this list](https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/#/equipment) it will tell you what you can expect from your graphic card. Or you can also [check this one](https://www.nicehash.com/?p=calc), it is more complex but more precise.\n\nAgain don't expect to become millionaires but you're going to earn a little bit of cash while doing... nothing, so it's worth it !\n\n# Install the software\n\nFor this tutorial you'll need only two things :\n* A bitcoin address (in order to get paid !). This is very very easy to do : install **[copay](https://copay.io)**, or **[jaxx](https://jaxx.io)** on your mobile phone and you're done ! If you ask me i'll go for Jaxx because it works also on desktop and tablet, but you're free to use whatever wallet you like !\n* The [NiceHash software](https://www.nicehash.com/?p=gstarted#seller). Note them on a piece of paper and close this benchmark test panel.\n\nGo to the settings. Just for one graphic card. Check your desktop tower motherboard. If you have a PCI-e x16 extra slot, you might want to buy another graphic card (if you can find one... these days, all graphic cards are sucked out by miners like... YOU!). If you have a small PCI connector [you'll probably need to buy a riser](https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_4_3?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=pci+riser&sprefix=PCI%2Caps%2C202&crid=2DLF7NM5S655E).\n\nWhat is really cool with NiceHash is that you get payed in bitcoins. You do not mine crypto-currencies directly. Actualy you're selling your computation power to NiceHash. Then NiceHash sells this hashing power to people who would like to mine crypto-currencies.\nSo why is this good to be payed in bitcoins? Because, the bitcoin is still going UP, even if it has a lot of technical problems compared to ethereum, it is still going to grow. Some experts expect it to reach 5000$ in the next 2 to 4 years. Some dreamers even expect it to reach 10 000$ (and who knows?). So if you keep these bitcoins, chances are they'll grow in value with time and this all thing may become very profitable to you if you do not spend your bitcoins.\n\nAnother cool thing is that if you checked several algorythms, NiceHash will automatically select the most profitable for you at the moment. It will switch automatically to optimise your profits depending of your benchmark results (that's why you need to do a precise benchmark instead of a standard one).\n\nIf you can, keep your bitcoins for a minimum of two years. Then you'll thank me for writing this article (at least i hope so)...\n\nLast thing, if you have an NVIDIA graphic card you **need to check the P0 state option in the settings**. And with a core i7 processor alone (that lot of people have!) you can generate 0,36 € to 0,45€ a day depending of the model.
