titleHow to Have Bigger Thighs to Look Great in Jeans? Foods and Exercises Can Help
body<html> <p>&nbsp; Many girls dream of toned and thin legs with slender hips but you may be very thin. And skinny legs with very less muscle mass may not appear good in short skirts, booty shorts or tight jeans. By being too skinny,&nbsp;you can become the subject of jokes and ridicule and may not feel your best. While you may not be able to gain weight on a body’s specific area,&nbsp;however, you can increase the muscle mass of your hips and thighs so as to create a fitter and fuller look.</p> <p><img src="http://vantostyle.com/5581-thickbox_default/sexy-jeans.jpg" width="800" height="800"/></p> <p><a href="http://vantostyle.com/5581-thickbox_default/sexy-jeans.jpg">Image Source</a></p> <h1>Foods for Bigger Thighs</h1> <h2>Calories and Weight Gain</h2> <p>As you can’t selectively lose weight from a specific part of a body, similarly, you can’t gain weight on your buttocks and thighs. But, you may follow a diet to gain weight over your whole body and simultaneously do exercises to increase muscle on your buttocks and thighs. To begin, consult a dietitian to find out the amount of calories you require for maintaining your current weight-it depends on your gender, activity level and age. Add about 300-500 calories to this amount. Consuming this extra amount of calories will make you gain 1/2 – 1 pound per week. You should consume a nutritious diet to not only increase your calories but also get the nutrients that you require to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.</p> <h2>Protein Foods</h2> <p>Include lots of protein rich foods (high-quality) in your diet to grow buttocks and thighs. Proteins provide amino acids that help in building extra muscles in the lower body. People who follow a diet for strength training require between 0.5 and 0.8 g of protein per day for every pound of body weight. This is equal to 80 to 110 g of protein for a person weighing 135 pounds or 106 to 145 g of protein for a person weighing 180 pounds.</p> <p>You can add protein&nbsp;foods for bigger thighs&nbsp;in a lot of ways to your meals. &nbsp;Add an egg to your soup while it cooks or add a large slice of egg in a salad and it adds 6 g of protein or 72 calories. Add one portion of Greek yogurt to one bowl of oatmeal or a glass of smoothie and add 12 g of protein and 160 calories. Some more high quality proteins that you can add your diet are lean beef, tofu, fatty fish, beans, lentils and white-meat poultry (skinless).</p> <h2>Healthy Fat</h2> <p>Fat gives the highest amount of calories-9 calories per gram, whereas protein provides only 4 calories per gram. Hence, by including healthy fats in your diet you can easily boost your daily calorie intake. You can add a tbsp of olive oil to your salad dressing-it gives 125 calories. Snack on nuts-for instance, 2 oz almonds contains 325 calories. You can also add nut butters in your smoothies, toast or cereal-2 tbsp of peanut butter has 185 calories. You can also mix peanut butter in vegetable stews to get a unique flavor and creamy texture.</p> <h2>Other Foods for Bigger Thighs</h2> <p>For healthy gain of weight, you should fill your diet with plenty of nutritious foods. Apart from vegetables, add whole grains such as quinoa, brown rice, amaranth, or pasta or bread made from whole grain to provide quality carbohydrates. Carbohydrates form the major energy source for your brain and muscles; hence, they help in keeping you active along with boosting your intake of calories. Also include vegetables and fruits in your diet as they are a rich source of essential minerals and vitamins.</p> <h2>Drink Plenty of Water</h2> <p>Stay hydrated all through the day by consuming at least eight to ten glasses of fluids including water. This helps your body in processing protein and in keeping you active and healthy. Consuming enough water also helps in building thick muscles easily.</p> <h2>Take Supplements</h2> <p>You should consume supplements carefully as they are not proven to help growth of muscles. Do some research to determine which supplements are good for you. Creatine is one such supplement used for building muscle, which is safe when taken in recommended dose. It’s imperative to not rely only on supplements for bigger butts and thighs but to also exercise and eat foods for bigger thighs. There exist no pills that can result in a miracle and make your butts and thighs bigger.</p> <h1>Exercises to Get Bigger Thighs</h1> <p>You shouldn’t worry in case you are starting strength training as a beginner. To get bigger thighs,&nbsp;you don’t need to lift much weight or do complex moves. Your workouts must focus on strengthening the hamstrings muscles on back of thighs, quadriceps on front of thighs and glute muscles in butt. It is good to do workout on lower body 2-3 times per week. Also make sure to include a few exercises of the upper body in your routine. Do some cardio exercise on days when you are not doing strength training.</p> <h2>Seven Exercises for the&nbsp;Butt, Thighs&nbsp;and Hips</h2> <p>Begin without weight and you can add weight later on to make the exercise challenging and increase your potential of muscle building.</p> <ul> <li><strong>Squats with single leg:</strong> Stand ahead of a chair. Lift the right foot upwards and extend out ahead of yourself and sit in the chair. Now stand up on your left leg. Do 10-20 repetitions. Switch legs. When adding weight, hold dumbbells at the height of shoulders.</li> <li><strong>Lunge with step-up:</strong> Stand ahead of a sturdy chair. Step on the chair with right foot. Now bring left foot upwards, bend your knee and keep the left thigh parallel to ground. Step off chair while reversing the movement. Now by taking a big step backwards with the right foot, come in a lunge by bending the back and front knees to 90 degrees angle. Pressing into back foot, come back to the starting point. Repeat 10-20 times. Switch sides.</li> <li><strong>Sumo squats:</strong> Stand with feet at width more than your hips. Bend at the knees and hips, keeping the torso straight and shoulders back while lowering the butts downwards towards ground. Stop when you reach the ground, then stand up. Repeat 10-20 times.</li> <li><strong>Hip thrusts with single leg:</strong> Lie on the back with left foot on seat of chair. Extend right leg towards ceiling. Push through left foot and raise hips off floor. Take them as high as possible. Then lower them slowly. Repeat 10-20 times on both sides.</li> <li><strong>Step-ups on sides with side kick:</strong> Stand in front of a sturdy chair. Step right feet upwards, now bring left foot upwards next to the right foot, then raise left leg outwards towards your side as high as possible. "title": "How to Have Bigger Thighs to Look Great in Jeans? Foods and Exercises Can Help",
"body": "<html>\n<p>&nbsp;Many girls dream of toned and thin legs with slender hips but you may be very thin. And skinny legs with very less muscle mass may not appear good in short skirts, booty shorts or tight jeans. By being too skinny,&nbsp;you can become the subject of jokes and ridicule and may not feel your best. While you may not be able to gain weight on a body’s specific area,&nbsp;however, you can increase the muscle mass of your hips and thighs so as to create a fitter and fuller look.</p>\n<p><img src=\"http://vantostyle.com/5581-thickbox_default/sexy-jeans.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"800\"/></p>\n<p><a href=\"http://vantostyle.com/5581-thickbox_default/sexy-jeans.jpg\">Image Source</a></p>\n<h1>Foods for Bigger Thighs</h1>\n<h2>Calories and Weight Gain</h2>\n<p>As you can’t selectively lose weight from a specific part of a body, similarly, you can’t gain weight on your buttocks and thighs. You should consume a nutritious diet to not only increase your calories but also get the nutrients that you require to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.</p>\n<h2>Protein Foods</h2>\n<p>Include lots of protein rich foods (high-quality) in your diet to grow buttocks and thighs. Proteins provide amino acids that help in building extra muscles in the lower body. People who follow a diet for strength training require between 0.5 and 0.8 g of protein per day for every pound of body weight. This is equal to 80 to 110 g of protein for a person weighing 135 pounds or 106 to 145 g of protein for a person weighing 180 pounds.</p>\n<p>You can add protein&nbsp;foods for bigger thighs&nbsp;in a lot of ways to your meals. Some more high quality proteins that you can add your diet are lean beef, tofu, fatty fish, beans, lentils and white-meat poultry (skinless).</p>\n<h2>Healthy Fat</h2>\n<p>Fat gives the highest amount of calories-9 calories per gram, whereas protein provides only 4 calories per gram. You can also mix peanut butter in vegetable stews to get a unique flavor and creamy texture.</p>\n<h2>Other Foods for Bigger Thighs</h2>\n<p>For healthy gain of weight, you should fill your diet with plenty of nutritious foods. Also include vegetables and fruits in your diet as they are a rich source of essential minerals and vitamins.</p>\n<h2>Drink Plenty of Water</h2>\n<p>Stay hydrated all through the day by consuming at least eight to ten glasses of fluids including water. This helps your body in processing protein and in keeping you active and healthy. Consuming enough water also helps in building thick muscles easily.</p>\n<h2>Take Supplements</h2>\n<p>You should consume supplements carefully as they are not proven to help growth of muscles. Do some research to determine which supplements are good for you. Creatine is one such supplement used for building muscle, which is safe when taken in recommended dose. It’s imperative to not rely only on supplements for bigger butts and thighs but to also exercise and eat foods for bigger thighs. There exist no pills that can result in a miracle and make your butts and thighs bigger.</p>\n<h1>Exercises to Get Bigger Thighs</h1>\n<p>You shouldn’t worry in case you are starting strength training as a beginner. Do some cardio exercise on days when you are not doing strength training.</p>\n<h2>Seven Exercises for the&nbsp;Butt, Thighs&nbsp;and Hips</h2>\n<p>Begin without weight and you can add weight later on to make the exercise challenging and increase your potential of muscle building.</p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Squats with single leg:</strong> Stand ahead of a chair. Lift the right foot upwards and extend out ahead of yourself and sit in the chair. Now stand up on your left leg. Do 10-20 repetitions. Switch legs. When adding weight, hold dumbbells at the height of shoulders.</li>\n <li><strong>Lunge with step-up:</strong> Stand ahead of a sturdy chair. Switch sides.</li>\n <li><strong>Sumo squats:</strong> Stand with feet at width more than your hips. Bend at the knees and hips, keeping the torso straight and shoulders back while lowering the butts downwards towards ground. Stop when you reach the ground, then stand up. Repeat 10-20 times.</li>\n <li><strong>Hip thrusts with single leg:</strong> Lie on the back with left foot on seat of chair. Extend right leg towards ceiling. Push through left foot and raise hips off floor. Take them as high as possible. Then lower them slowly. Repeat 10-20 times on both sides.</li>\n <li><strong>Step-ups on sides with side kick:</strong> Stand in front of a sturdy chair. Step right feet upwards, now bring left foot upwards next to the right foot, then raise left leg outwards towards your side as high as possible. Now bring left leg back, and then bring down first left foot, then right foot. Repeat 10-20 times on both sides.</li>\n <li><strong>Fire Hydrants:</strong> Position yourself on all fours such that your wrists are aligned under the shoulders and the knees are aligned under the hips. Take right knee off floor and open the hip out to side as high as possible. Take it to the starting point. Repeat for 10-20 times on both sides.</li>\n <li><strong>Side lunges:</strong> Stand straight with feet together. Move to right taking a big step with right foot. Bent your knee and lower into a lunge. Push the hips down and back while keeping the torso upright. Stop in this position, then pushing through the right foot;&nbsp;bring yourself to the left foot. Do 12-20 repetitions on both sides. A weight can be added by holding dumbbell in front of the chest with both the hands.</li>\n</ul>\n</html>",

titleHow Long Do Dabs Stay in Your System?
bodyHoney oil, butane hash oil (BHO), shatter, budder, and wax are some of the names used these days for dabs. It is basically a highly concentrated extract of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the most psychoactive ingredient of marijuana. Brownish-green in color, it has a thick consistency and looks quite like hot candle wax. A modified bong or water pipe is used to smoke it, which induces a powerful high in no time. <h1>How Long Do Dabs Stay in Your System?</h1> <p>The active ingredient in dabs is delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is a fat-soluble molecule. Your organs, including the lungs, liver, brain, and heart absorb it and your body retains it in fat tissues for <strong>up to 4 weeks</strong>.</p> <p>Even when you consume marijuana and ask how long it stays in your system, it usually means how long THC stays in your system. A number of other factors determine it – the list includes frequency of use, the volume of use, method of consumption, and your rate of metabolism.Different tests are available to check the presence of THC in your system. The common ones are urine, saliva and hair tests. You need to understand that each test has different detection time. The urine drug test is the most common choice because it is easy to operate and cheap. The test result is positive when the concentration is above 50ng/ml, but some labs may also use 20ng/ml as the cut-off point. Here are more about how many days they will show positive according to the frequency of use in different drug tests: https://steemitimages.com/DQmcELaqMtGKc2dNU9dKMrRZeoMPKSCjyqJFW89pQ2kmFuM/QQ%E5%9B%BE%E7%89%8720180207164721.png <h1>How to Get Dabs Out of Your System Fast</h1> <p>Once you know "How long do dabs stay in your system?" you may also want to know what you can do to get it out of your system fast. Here are some methods to try:</p> <h2>1. &nbsp;Water</h2> <p>The easiest way to get it out of your system is to drink plenty of water. This helps you pass a urine drug test with ease. You have to drink at least 64 ounces of water a day starting two days before the test. Be sure to sip the water slowly instead of drinking it all at one go.</p> <h2>2. &nbsp;Exercise</h2> <p>It is another natural way to improve your metabolism and accelerate detoxification process. This helps break the fat cells where THC is stored. Sweat more and you will be able to get rid of THC faster.</p> <h2>3. &nbsp;Creatine</h2> <p>This OTC bodybuilding supplement accelerates the flushing process. You may have to take up to 100mg/day for three days before your test.</p> <h2>4. &nbsp;Cranberry Juice</h2> <p>It contains ingredients that triggers the flushing process and eliminates water and sodium from your body. It actually works as a natural diuretic and throw THC out of your system quickly. Drink a couple of glasses daily for three days before the test.</p> <h2>5. &nbsp;Aspirin</h2> <p>Take 2-4 aspirin about 4-6 hours before your test. It will absorb chemicals in your body and go out of your system through urine. While you may feel a bit lightheaded after taking a large dose of aspirin, this will eventually help you with your test results.</p> <h2>6. &nbsp;Pickle Juice</h2> <p>The acid in pickle juice helps eliminate THC cells, but you may need to consume a large amount of pickle juice to get results.</p> <h2>7. &nbsp;Sauna</h2> <p>Your body temperature goes up when you sit in a sauna and this helps release chemicals and toxins from your body. Combine it with exercise and drinking water for better effects.</p> <h1>Are There Any Side Effects of Dabbing?</h1> <p>Now you know, "How long do dabs stay in your system?" and how you can get it out of your system faster. It is equally important to know if you should really be using it. Actually, dabbing can be quite dangerous. You absorb more THC when dabbing, and that means there is a higher risk of noticing severe tolerance, withdrawal, and dependence symptoms. You are more likely to become addicted to it. You may notice some <strong>serious negative reactions, including vomiting, dizziness, paranoia, and fainting</strong>.</p> <p>The extraction makes it even more dangerous because many amateur scientists try to handle it on their own and end up developing a product that is quite poor and dangerous as well. The actual process of dabbing is tricky and involves using glass bongs and weird substances that need to be heated with blowtorches for quite some time. Many people try to make it at home and use dirty oil full of contaminants that pose many health risks. The equipment used in the extraction process may also raise several concerns. It is important to notice that due to highly concentrated BHO, <strong>it is possible to overdose on cannabis that may cause uncomfortable highs</strong>. The withdrawal symptoms for dabbers are more likely to be quite intense.</p>

titleTrying for months losing weight in vain? That's because you don't know those Seemingly Little Things that Make You Gain Fat
bodyYou may be aware of the fact that you should avoid junk food and stay away from oily or processed food to lose weight effectively. However, many people try everything and know the basic dieting rules but still find it difficult to lose weight. It may happen with you if you do not know about seemingly little things that make you gain fat. You may be trying to eat healthy, but certain factors can keep you from losing weight. Let's find out more about it. # Little, Maybe Unimportant, As They Are, They Can Make You Gain Weight What you eat will have an impact on your waistline, but how you eat will also have a big role to play here. Here are some simple mistakes you may be making that keep you from losing weight. ## 1. You Eat Quickly You may be gaining weight simply because you eat quickly. Many studies have also confirmed that eating your meal quickly can lead to obesity because it results in overeating. Your body takes some time to tell your brain that your stomach is full or you are no longer hungry. If you eat quickly, you would have eaten much more than you should until your body signals your brain that you are full.Be sure to chew your food thoroughly and take small bites to help cut the number of calories you take with each meal. ## 2. You Do Not Drink Enough Water Not drinking enough water is one of many seemingly little things that make you gain fat. Studies show that when dehydrated, many people cannot differentiate between hunger and thirst. It means that you may start to eat more thinking that you are hungry, but in reality, you may need to drink more water to prevent dehydration. If you feel hungry all the time, consider increasing your intake of water to see if dehydration is the underlying cause of trouble. You should drink a couple of cups of water before breakfast to limit the number of calories you consume daily. Even if you are no dehydrated, simply drinking more water may help reduce your calorie intake and support weight loss. ## 3. You Know Little about Portion Control Many people wonder why they are becoming fat even though they are eating clean. The truth is that even the healthiest food has calories and going overboard may lead to fat gain. You have to educate yourself about portion control and learn to eat everything in moderation. Consider eating in smaller plates and bowls because it may keep you from eating more.Eating in larger plates can make you think that you are having a small serving of food, which makes you eat more. ## 4. You Drink Your Calories Many people do not realize how many calories they are consuming when they opt for soft drinks and other beverages. The problem is that your brain can register calories from foods, but it fails to do it when you drink beverages. It means you may end up getting more calories from your drinks than you get from your meals. It can lead to a caloric surplus that would make you gain weight. Try to drink more water because it contains zero calories and limit your intake of other beverages to support weight loss. ## 5. You Eat Little Fiber Not eating enough fiber is one of many seemingly little things that make you gain fat. Eating more fiber promotes satiety and prevents overeating. Studies show that you can lower your calorie intake by 10% if you eat an extra 14g of fiber a day.Include beans, legumes, fruits and veggies in your diet to meet your daily requirement of fiber. ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmSKZvbd8LE2vjAAnsWqhfeiX3EVgurSo42tZopX2uEdcX/image.png) ## 6. You Are Too Social If you socialize a lot, you may be eating too many calories without even realizing it. Most social situations involve food and even alcohol that can make you eat additional calories. Some studies have also shown that you are likely to eat more if you are sitting with someone who eats a lot. Moreover, you may end up eating unhealthy food when socializing that can also sabotage your weight loss efforts. ## 7. You Sit for Too Long Living a sedentary lifestyle is a surefire way of becoming fat; in fact, you may put on pounds if your job involves sitting for 9-11 hours, which is actually quite average in western countries. Long periods of sitting may seem harmless but you may increase your risk of obesity and chronic diseases by sitting idle for long enough. A study has found that sitting longer than 10 hours per day may increase your risk of an early death by 34%. ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmegtjigkuwDJSuMrpkVpewm4MGmtQxvNUDt4YisDxGP5B/image.png) ## 8. You Do Not Get Enough Sleep Many people think they would get fat if they sleep a lot. It is not always true because not getting adequate sleep can promote obesity. Inadequate sleep would lead to hormonal imbalance that would lead to fat gain. Studies show that people who sleep fewer than 5 hours a night are at a greater risk of becoming fat. ## 9. You Eat Irregularly Not having a set mealtime can also be one of seemingly little things that make you gain fat. You do not have to worry much about delaying a meal occasionally, but eating at irregular times can prove harmful to your waistline. Having a regular mealtime makes you feel less hungry and fuller after a meal. Sticking to a routine can also help you keep track of how many calories you eat daily. ## 10. You Go Overboard with Healthy Fats It is true that healthy fats are good for your heart, but foods that provide you with healthy fats also contain loads of calories. For instance, olive oil provides you with a good dose of healthy fat, but a single tablespoon of it contains up to 119 calories.Adding several tablespoons to your meals can actually make you become fat. Be sure to eat a moderate amount of healthy fats and also include fruits, lean protein, and veggies in your diet to maintain a healthy balance. ## 11. You Use Too Much Dressing Eating salad may seem to be a good thing to do, but salad dressing can ruin everything. "title": "Trying for months losing weight in vain? That's because you don't know those Seemingly Little Things that Make You Gain Fat",
"body": "You may be aware of the fact that you should avoid junk food and stay away from oily or processed food to lose weight effectively. However, many people try everything and know the basic dieting rules but still find it difficult to lose weight. It may happen with you if you do not know about seemingly little things that make you gain fat. You may be trying to eat healthy, but certain factors can keep you from losing weight. Let's find out more about it.\n\n# Little, Maybe Unimportant, As They Are, They Can Make You Gain Weight\nWhat you eat will have an impact on your waistline, but how you eat will also have a big role to play here. Here are some simple mistakes you may be making that keep you from losing weight. \n## 1. You Eat Quickly\nYou may be gaining weight simply because you eat quickly. \n\n## 2. You Do Not Drink Enough Water\nNot drinking enough water is one of many seemingly little things that make you gain fat. Even if you are no dehydrated, simply drinking more water may help reduce your calorie intake and support weight loss.\n\n## 3. You Know Little about Portion Control\nMany people wonder why they are becoming fat even though they are eating clean. The truth is that even the healthiest food has calories and going overboard may lead to fat gain. You have to educate yourself about portion control and learn to eat everything in moderation. Consider eating in smaller plates and bowls because it may keep you from eating more.Eating in larger plates can make you think that you are having a small serving of food, which makes you eat more.\n\n## 4. You Drink Your Calories\nMany people do not realize how many calories they are consuming when they opt for soft drinks and other beverages. The problem is that your brain can register calories from foods, but it fails to do it when you drink beverages. It means you may end up getting more calories from your drinks than you get from your meals. It can lead to a caloric surplus that would make you gain weight. Try to drink more water because it contains zero calories and limit your intake of other beverages to support weight loss.\n\n## 5. You Eat Little Fiber\nNot eating enough fiber is one of many seemingly little things that make you gain fat. Eating more fiber promotes satiety and prevents overeating. Studies show that you can lower your calorie intake by 10% if you eat an extra 14g of fiber a day.Include beans, legumes, fruits and veggies in your diet to meet your daily requirement of fiber.\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmSKZvbd8LE2vjAAnsWqhfeiX3EVgurSo42tZopX2uEdcX/image.png)\n\n## 6. You Are Too Social\nIf you socialize a lot, you may be eating too many calories without even realizing it. Most social situations involve food and even alcohol that can make you eat additional calories. Some studies have also shown that you are likely to eat more if you are sitting with someone who eats a lot. Moreover, you may end up eating unhealthy food when socializing that can also sabotage your weight loss efforts.\n\n## 7. You Sit for Too Long\nLiving a sedentary lifestyle is a surefire way of becoming fat; in fact, you may put on pounds if your job involves sitting for 9-11 hours, which is actually quite average in western countries. Long periods of sitting may seem harmless but you may increase your risk of obesity and chronic diseases by sitting idle for long enough. A study has found that sitting longer than 10 hours per day may increase your risk of an early death by 34%.\n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmegtjigkuwDJSuMrpkVpewm4MGmtQxvNUDt4YisDxGP5B/image.png)\n## 8. You Do Not Get Enough Sleep\nMany people think they would get fat if they sleep a lot. It is not always true because not getting adequate sleep can promote obesity. Inadequate sleep would lead to hormonal imbalance that would lead to fat gain. Studies show that people who sleep fewer than 5 hours a night are at a greater risk of becoming fat.\n## 9. You Eat Irregularly\nNot having a set mealtime can also be one of seemingly little things that make you gain fat. You do not have to worry much about delaying a meal occasionally, but eating at irregular times can prove harmful to your waistline. Having a regular mealtime makes you feel less hungry and fuller after a meal. Sticking to a routine can also help you keep track of how many calories you eat daily.\n## 10. You Go Overboard with Healthy Fats\n\nIt is true that healthy fats are good for your heart, but foods that provide you with healthy fats also contain loads of calories. \n## 11. You Use Too Much Dressing\nEating salad may seem to be a good thing to do, but salad dressing can ruin everything. Bleu cheese, ranch, and other common salad dressings contain more than 150 calories per serving. Therefore, you need to be careful with salad dressing to help lose weight effectively.",

titleHow It Feels Like to Wear Braces? 3 Years' Experience
bodyHello guys, this is the true experience of mine. From Mar. 3rd, 2015 to Feb. 5th, 2018, I'd been wearing my braces for nearly 3 years. I've never expected it too take such a long time. And for these 3 years, if i have to find an exact word to conclude it, it must be: **ulcers** -- constant and repeating ulcers that kept coming out one after another. Exactly like it shown in the image. (Sorry that I couldn't find my own pictures anymore.) I was unable to keep my mouth completely closed, and to have all my upper teeth beautifully aligned two of my teeth were extracted to make more room. Ah! ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmPbHYC2d3abvFFP55zZdrKxJ92YSUNHwTMxRz6eWMpWeS/image.png)[Image Source](http://www.forbesorthodontics.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Surgery-4.jpg) At first my orthodontist told me that 2 years would be enough to align my upper teeth, which protruded a bit (well...maybe not just a bit lol). But when two years passed, and there were still may gaps that weren't nicely closed. I was sooooo upset about it as the ulcers were too painful to deal with. I tried the wax recommended by my orthodontist but it never worked, and the friction of the braces just drove me crazy. I didn't want to eat, and I didn't feel like talking as it hurts even more when I speak. Well...at least there was one good thing about it. I have shed nearly 5kg without even trying...slimmest of my whole life, 100% sure about it. ### For the ulcers, one thing did helped: **b2 vitamins.** I would swallow one and squash another then apply the powder directly to the ulcers. It would heal overnight, not completely though, you have to keep trying and eat some vitamin c rich foods also. This I can handle, the saddest thing was that I was pretty sure they would recur just one or two weeks later. Never found a way to prevent it. **If you know any good tips that would help with that, pls. do share with me, I need it desperately.** Good thing is that the braces did their job well, both in causing ulcers and aligning my teeth. After 2 years, my teeth went like this ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmQSsYJAyoPyjLCFNcMMJiNPZZ6fWL8GTUGNMkpW2HmkYv/image.png) [Image Source](https://www.balsallcommondental.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/overbite.jpg) On Feb.5th, 2018 my orthodontist just took the braces off and this is how my teeth look like right now. (Yeah, this time, finally my own teeth...) ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmZgUnb787Pwne4CvKkV8jdSyekTwwVW8iL4UFp2QN6TtH/image.png) I'm wearing retainer and it doesn't feel natural but much better than braces, at least not causing any ulcers. Thank god for that!!! **Though the ulcers were painful and annoying, not to mention the inconvenience that the braces caused when i eat outside, i do want to say that: it's worth it. It gave me more confidence. And my oral condition improves also. My mouth always felt dry as i was unable to keep mouth closed, and because of that, dental plaque accumulated and my teeth condition was not good either. Now all problems solved.**

titleHow Much Deep Sleep Do You Need?
body<p>Have you gotten enough deep sleep?&nbsp;</p> <p>In today's highly demanding work environment, it is quite normal to cut back on sleep to achieve your career goals. A common notion is that you will miss out on opportunities if you give sleep much importance in your life. However, that's not the reality. You may not notice it, but even minimal sleep loss will have an impact on your energy, mood and ability to handle stress. And when you talk about the night sleep, the most important phase is deep sleep that plays a role in making you feel fresh in the morning. That brings us to a question, "Exactly how much deep sleep do you need?" Keep reading to find out yourself.</p> <h1>What Is Deep Sleep?</h1> <p>Your body goes through several changes while you're sleeping. The first stage is the non-REM sleep and you then move into stage of REM which stands for "Rapid Eye Movement". Your eyes move quickly in all directions when you're in REM sleep. For non-REM stage, your eyes won't move a lot, and you will go through the following phases.</p> <ul> <li><strong>The first phase</strong> is when you fall asleep, but it is easy to wake you up. The phase usually lasts up to 10 minutes.</li> <li>You will be in light sleep <strong>in the second stage</strong> of a non-REM sleep. Your heart rate will come down and so will your body temperature. You will soon enter "deep sleep" phase.</li> <li>You will then enter your <strong>deep sleep stage</strong> and it's usually harder to wake you up when you're in this stage. It's common to feel disoriented for a few minutes when someone wakes you up from deep sleep. After deep sleep, your brain will become active. This is REM sleep and your brain dreams a lot at that time.</li> </ul> <p>Slow wave sleep, delta sleep, and even N3 all refer to deep sleep. Experts call it delta sleep because they can see low-frequency delta waves in the EEG when you're in deep sleep. In the past, the third stage (deep sleep) was divided into two stages – stage 3 and stage 4 – but they have recently been combined into one and given the name, "N3".</p> <h1>How Much Deep Sleep Do You Need?</h1> <p>Deep sleep plays a big role in lowering your sleep drive that builds gradually over the course of the day. During this stage, your organs detoxicate, your kidneys clean your blood, and your body replaces cells, heals wounds, and builds muscle tissues as well. All this will help recharge your batteries for the next day.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Some studies have shown that your deep sleep should at least be 20% of your overall sleep.</strong> It means that since most adults need 8-9 hours of sleep, they will need about 1.6-1.8 hours of deep sleep to feel fully functional next day. However, the time of deep sleep is changed and that's mainly due to the change in the sleep need of different group of people. For instance:&nbsp;</p> <p>https://steemitimages.com/DQmTJG2W6wBapo6JGzhMG132aaEwZL36z4TNvEfNntXY2QS/QQ%E5%9B%BE%E7%89%8720180207132535.png</p> <h3>9&nbsp;Tips to Achieve Deep Sleep</h3> <p>Now you have already known the answer to the question "How much deep sleep do you need?" It is equally important to learn how you can achieve deep sleep regularly.</p> <ul> <li><strong>Follow a transition routine:</strong> Make a habit of doing something before going to bed that tells your body it's time to relax and sleep. It could simply be washing your face, taking a shower, or even brushing your teeth.</li> <li><strong>Select the right pillow:</strong> Some studies show that using a neck pillow that comes in a rectangle shape with a depression in the middle can enhance your sleep quality. "body": "<p>Have you gotten enough deep sleep?&nbsp;</p>\n<p>In today's highly demanding work environment, it is quite normal to cut back on sleep to achieve your career goals. That brings us to a question, \"Exactly how much deep sleep do you need?\" Keep reading to find out yourself.</p>\n<h1>What Is Deep Sleep?</h1>\n<p>Your body goes through several changes while you're sleeping. The first stage is the non-REM sleep and you then move into stage of REM which stands for \"Rapid Eye Movement\". Your eyes move quickly in all directions when you're in REM sleep. For non-REM stage, your eyes won't move a lot, and you will go through the following phases.</p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>The first phase</strong> is when you fall asleep, but it is easy to wake you up. The phase usually lasts up to 10 minutes.</li>\n <li>You will be in light sleep <strong>in the second stage</strong> of a non-REM sleep. Your heart rate will come down and so will your body temperature. You will soon enter \"deep sleep\" phase.</li>\n <li>You will then enter your <strong>deep sleep stage</strong> and it's usually harder to wake you up when you're in this stage. It's common to feel disoriented for a few minutes when someone wakes you up from deep sleep. After deep sleep, your brain will become active. This is REM sleep and your brain dreams a lot at that time.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Slow wave sleep, delta sleep, and even N3 all refer to deep sleep. Experts call it delta sleep because they can see low-frequency delta waves in the EEG when you're in deep sleep. In the past, the third stage (deep sleep) was divided into two stages – stage 3 and stage 4 – but they have recently been combined into one and given the name, \"N3\".</p>\n<h1>How Much Deep Sleep Do You Need?</h1>\n<p>Deep sleep plays a big role in lowering your sleep drive that builds gradually over the course of the day. During this stage, your organs detoxicate, your kidneys clean your blood, and your body replaces cells, heals wounds, and builds muscle tissues as well. All this will help recharge your batteries for the next day.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Some studies have shown that your deep sleep should at least be 20% of your overall sleep.</strong> It means that since most adults need 8-9 hours of sleep, they will need about 1.6-1.8 hours of deep sleep to feel fully functional next day. However, the time of deep sleep is changed and that's mainly due to the change in the sleep need of different group of people. For instance:&nbsp;</p>\n<p>https://steemitimages.com/DQmTJG2W6wBapo6JGzhMG132aaEwZL36z4TNvEfNntXY2QS/QQ%E5%9B%BE%E7%89%8720180207132535.png</p>\n<h3>9&nbsp;Tips to Achieve Deep Sleep</h3>\n<p>Now you have already known the answer to the question \"How much deep sleep do you need?\" It is equally important to learn how you can achieve deep sleep regularly.</p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Follow a transition routine:</strong> Make a habit of doing something before going to bed that tells your body it's time to relax and sleep. It could simply be washing your face, taking a shower, or even brushing your teeth.</li>\n <li><strong>Select the right pillow:</strong> Some studies show that using a neck pillow that comes in a rectangle shape with a depression in the middle can enhance your sleep quality. A pillow with two supported cores will also help you fall asleep.</li>\n <li><strong>Eat a banana:</strong> End your day by eating a banana. It contains tryptophan, a sleep hormone that can improve your sleep quality when taken before going to bed.</li>\n <li><strong>Take a hot bath:</strong> Your body will relax quickly if you take a hot bath, but you need to take it at least 90-120 minutes before you go to sleep. titlePeople Shaking Legs While Sitting, Really Annoying Right? Here Are the Possible Reasons
body<html> <p>&nbsp;Have you ever noticed people shaking their legs while being in thought or reading a book or even when they are lying down? It is an involuntary thing that people do without even knowing about it. Some people will know that they shake legs until they are told about it. To those who don't shake legs, it might seem odd and a little creepy, but for those who do, it is a reflex action that they can't control.</p> <p><img src="https://mylittlebird.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/CrossedLegsWeb.jpg" width="1000" height="668"/></p> <p><a href="https://mylittlebird.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/CrossedLegsWeb.jpg">Image Source</a></p> <h1>Why Do People Shake Their Legs?</h1> <h2>1. Concentration</h2> <p>People shaking legs can be due to the concentration. It is observed quite often that doing any physical activity can help a person concentrate. For instance, people thinking about a particularly difficult issue or problem start pacing around in the room. Those who are stuck in a cubicle or behind a desk might start shaking their legs. Moreover, studies have shown that the areas that control cognitive and motor functions overlap with each other in the brain, which suggests that it might become easier for people to concentrate when they are doing something physical. Furthermore, shaking of legs when faced with something difficult can also be a means of releasing nervous energy, too.</p> <h2>2. Restlessness or Boredom</h2> <p>Another possible reason for why people shake their legs is restlessness or boredom. Some people are hyperactive and can get easily bored if the situation isn't stimulating enough for them. Such people can ease their restlessness by shaking their legs. The world we live in today is fast paced and thanks to all the gadgets that we have around us, we are always getting a considerable dose of stimuli. If suddenly all of the stimuli stop then the body might compensate for itself by shaking body parts.</p> <h2>3. Analeptics</h2> <p>People who make use of any kind of analeptics or stimulants such as nicotine or caffeine are bound to feel slightly agitated and anxious in a sitting position and can start shaking their legs. The urge to shake the leg intensifies if the person is using a powerful analeptic.</p> <h2>4. Disabilities and Conditions</h2> <p>There are several disabilities and conditions that can cause a person to continuously shake their legs. Below we list some of them, including:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Restless&nbsp;Leg Syndrome:</strong> The patients of restless leg syndrome often have a nagging feeling in their legs which they deal with by shaking their legs. This shaking helps them in easing the creepy feelings in their legs. Patients experience this strange feeling in their legs a lot more when they are resting or sleeping at night.</li> <li><strong>Attention Deficit Hyperactivity:</strong> People with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) always have the urge to move and do something. In order to ease this urge, they tend to shake their legs.</li> <li><strong>Autism:</strong> Patients with autism tend to do certain behavior or movement repeatedly, which is also known as stereotyped movements. This is mostly due to the self-stimulation, and autistic people are sensitive to stimuli and want to be in control of them too. This is why they repeat movements to soothe themselves.</li> </ul> <h1>How to Relieve This Condition</h1> <p>The the answer to why do people shake their legs can be serious sometimes. For disability and medical conditions, you need to seek for professional medical help to see if there are any treatments or remedies to treat or ease your conditions. Below are possible curing options for the RLS and adrenaline issues.</p> <h2>For Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) Condition</h2> <ul> <li><strong>Home remedies:</strong> The severity of the symptoms and the degree to which the condition disrupts a person's life are some of the criteria on which the treatment of RLS depends. If the symptoms of RLS are of a mild nature then the patient can find relief by distracting himself with activities like: yoga, physical exercise, stretching and hot baths.</li> <li><strong>Medications:</strong> If the symptoms of RLS are severe and are experienced on a daily basis then the patients will be given daily medications. <strong>Dopaminergic agents</strong> are among the class of drugs that are the first choice for treating daily symptoms of RLS. These drugs stimulate the pathways of dopamine in the brain and thus help in reducing the RLS symptoms. If the dopamine agents don't work, <strong>anti-seizure and anti-pain medications and even narcotics</strong> can be prescribed for alleviating the symptoms. These medications alleviate the unpleasant sensations that the patients of RLS experience in their legs.</li> <li><strong>Sleeping issues are dealt with by sleeping pills.</strong> Medicines for treating Parkinson's disease or convulsions can also help in alleviating the nagging feelings, too. There is no treatment that works for everybody though and your doctor might have to try various medications before finding which one is the right for you.</li> <li><strong>Other tips:</strong> Avoid certain triggers that can worsen your RLS symptoms. If possible, you can keep a diary and write down things you have done before the symptoms worsened, which helps the doctor to identify what activity aggregates your symptoms and can then be avoided.</li> </ul> <h2>For Adrenaline Issues</h2> <p>Why do people shake their legs? One of the reasons is adrenaline. Too much adrenaline can cause you to shake your leg and make it hard for you to stop once it has started. Stopping adrenaline is impossible so you would have to wait for it to get used up by the body during which time you need to control the anxiety you are feeling. The following are some methods you can try:</p> <ul> <li>Jogging or running is a great way of using up adrenaline and can help in stopping the shaking.</li> <li>Taking deep, slow breaths proves to be quite helpful for shaking as well.</li> <li>Yelling is another excellent means of using up adrenaline and can prove to be therapeutic for some people. However, you can't do this in public.</li> <li>Since dehydration or insufficient nutrients in the body can cause or worsen shaking in some people, eating healthy and drinking plenty of water can be helpful too.</li> </ul> </html>

titleAre There Any Ways to Die Painlessly? NO!!! Death Is the Most Painful Thing For All People Involved
bodySometimes people will search for a method of ending their lives quickly and painlessly. This is particularly common when there is a problem, such as not achieving a goal or being cheated in love or when one is tortured by some disease. The question then becomes whether there is actually any way to die that are truly painless. **The reality is that you WON'T find any painless way to die.** Some people find it impossible to get over their idea of attempting suicide, but that is not the answer. You **SHOULD NOT** try any of the methods mentioned in this article as they are not only _**painful**_, but will lead to _**regrets**_. Life isn't easy, but there're good things about it. Just open your heart and you'll find people who care about you, who would be so upset without you and who may even live in guilt or remorse for not taking care of you. Think about your loved ones and talk to them, then find a better way to work through your dilemma. **Remember, suicide is never a solution.** # The Following Ways Are Just Rumored to Be Painless!!! ## 1. Take a Shot in the Head This method will make things a mess, but it can be achieve painless death. Getting shot in the head is theoretically in an instantaneous death and therefore painless, but the reality is much different. Five percent of those shot in the head will survive while a large portion of the remaining 95% doesn't die instantly. Instead, they will slowly and painfully bleed out or die of other painful complications. Basically, if the bullet doesn't hit the brain or a major vein or artery, you still may survive. You may also live through the experience, but end up brain dead or without language ability, memory, or sight. Other possible consequences include paralysis, mental retardation, nerve damage, and impaired motor function. ## 2. Hang Yourself Hanging yourself with an ideal drop should theoretically instantly break your neck. The issue, however, is that finding this drop height requires careful calculations based on weight, height, and more. In the ideal long drop, the noose’s torque will dislocate a bone in the neck, severing the spinal cord. Death may take a few minutes, but you’d be unconscious for it. The thing to remember, however, is that any miscalculation will lead to death by suffocation or strangulation, which may take several seconds to minutes to become unconscious and five to twenty minutes to die. This process is really excruciating. ## 3. Jump Off a Tall Building Many movies have scenes of people jumping off from a high place and dying in peace. Jumping off a tall building seems a painless way to die and theoretically will provide instant death. The issue, however, is how the death occurs. You probably won’t feel anything if you fall with your face first. If your feet hit first, you will have a second of excruciating pain right before your head hits the ground and die. There is, however, a great deal of psychological pain. Survivors who have tried to commit suicide by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge unanimously agree that they instantly regretted their decision once jumped, but the fall itself takes four seconds, in which you continue to regret. ## 4. Overdose on Drugs The theory with overdosing on drugs, such as sleeping pills, is that you will fall into a deep sleep and die. However overdose will likely cause massive shock and pain because your heart will fail before the drug’s sedative effects take hold. Your body is also likely to throw up the poison, leaving you with enough of the drug to kill you, but not enough to do so quickly. Then you will have a drawn out death via liver or kidney failure. ## 5. Carbon Monoxide Inhalation Use this as a painless way to die? Then there are three main methods of dying via it: running your car in the garage, lighting charcoal with all the windows shut, or staying in an enclosed area with fire. It is possible that you will fall asleep from the carbon monoxide before it prevents oxygen from reaching the brain and killing you. Keep in mind, however, that if you don’t die, you can have short term effects such as dizziness, loss of consciousness, nausea, breathlessness, and headaches. Long term effects include brain damage and paralysis. ## 6. Drown Yourself The time it takes to drown will vary greatly, such as the water temperature and ability to swim. Typically, a drowning victim will hold their breath for as long as they can once submerged and this will be between 30 and 90 seconds. At this point, they inhale water, cough, splutter, and inhale some more. The water within the lungs prevents gas exchange and makes the airway seal shut. You will feel burning and tearing in your chest before losing consciousness, something that can be very painful. ## 7. Electrocution Most accidental, at-home electrocutions will involve death by arrhythmia, or heart stop. You will usually become unconscious after about 10 seconds. Theoretically, higher currents will lead to quicker unconsciousness, but this is not always the case. You may require more time to die, during which you are in pain. You may also end up with burns from poor conducting materials. It is also possible that the current won’t reach the brain and you may die from the brain heating up or suffocation for the breathing muscle is paralyzed, which is really unpleasant. ## 8. Lethal Injection Most people assume that a lethal injection should be a painless way to die as it was specifically developed for this purpose. It includes an anesthetic thiopental which is supposed to prevent pain, then a paralytic to stop breathing, and potassium chloride to (nearly) instantly stop the heart. The problem is that you would need the proper dose of each drug, and even then you are likely to convulse and heave painfully during the process. ## 9. Other Common Ways to Die Another popular method is cutting your wrists, but it will take a long time to bleed out and carries the risk of infection. If you don’t do it right, you will painfully bleed for several minutes and death would take two to four hours. Some people choose to set themselves on fire, but this is perhaps the most painful method of death. Others will try jumping in front of a moving bus, car, train, or truck, but most people are saved, with painful injuries.

titleFeeling Hot Without a Fever? Here're 8 Reasons You SHOULD Know
bodyIf you feel hot but have no fever, you may be suffering from a number of things. Your skin reacts to many different changes inside and outside your body. You may not even be hot, but feel "flushing" or "hot flashes." It could be 50 degrees outside and you feel like it's 80. There usually isn't any cause for concern, and the sensation most often subsides on its own. This article will cover some of the different causes, when to call your doctor, and things you can do to feel cooler. ## Reasons Why You Feel Hot But No Fever and What to Do It isn't uncommon for our core body temperature to go up and down with normal daily activities. Your body temperature may also fluctuate due to hormonal imbalances, or even something you ate. Here are a few reasons why you may feel hot but experience no fever: ### 1. Stressful Events If you are experiencing stress, you can have hot flashes. Stress can cause you to release chemicals like epinephrine to help your body cope. Epinephrine opens up all your blood vessels and this can make you feel hot. **Other Symptoms:** Stress can cause other symptoms like racy heart, sweating, feeling winded, tense muscles, and make you feel anxious to get things done. **What You Can Do:** Try to practice stress relief techniques like rhythmic breathing, meditation, organize your tasks with a list, and get into a cool place when working on stressful projects. Relieving the stress can help reduce the sensation of being too hot. ### 2. Anxiety When you are feeling anxious, your body releases all kinds of chemicals to activate your "fight or flight" response. This is actually a pretty normal reaction to a dangerous situation as your body prepares for survival. One of the things that happens is your body turns up the heat. For some people, this system activates for no apparent reason, and no danger. You can begin to feel hot but no fever with other symptoms to tell you it is anxiety. **Other Symptoms:** You can feel hot with anxiety along with increased heart rate, feeling of fear or dread, shortness of breath, nausea, stomach cramps, chest pains, and other symptoms. **What You Can Do:** When you start feeling anxiety and your body begins to feel hot, stop what you are doing and take some deep breaths. Get yourself to a cool place and drink some fluids. Your body may feel like moving, but try to lie quietly and take deep breaths. Anxiety usually subsides within five minutes. ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmTaJPQt6vPFiBgEpqWxHstNUDDn111pQeW83qWFabFXmK/image.png) [Image Source](https://www.sbs.com.au/news/sites/sbs.com.au.news/files/insight_anxiety_web_1280x720.jpg) ### 3. Hyperthyroidism Your thyroid is a gland located in your neck that helps control your body's temperature, metabolism, and other body processes. It produces hormones and when those hormone levels get too high you are considered to have hyperthyroidism. This can cause a faster metabolism and increase in body temperature. **Other Symptoms:** If you are suffering from hyperthyroidism you may also have diarrhea, hair falling out, increased blood pressure, fast heartbeat, insomnia, and weakness. **What You Can Do:** Call your doctor. This condition can have complications and needs to be treated. There are medications and other treatments available to calm down your thyroid. It is diagnosed with a simple blood test and you will have your results within a few days. ### 4. High Metabolism When your metabolism is higher, you tend to run warmer. Metabolism is a natural body process that breaks down the foods you eat, sending energy out to your cells so you can function. When you are burning calories, your body may feel hot but no fever is present. Certain people are more sensitive to this process. **Other Symptoms:** If you feel hot and have a high metabolism, you may notice other things like thin body type, you get hungry often, and sleep very little. **What You Can Do:** People who have a high metabolism need to make sure they drink plenty of fluids. You should also stay in the shade when you are out in the heat. Dress in cool layers, and avoid exercise on really hot days. ### 5. Ovulation Every month around the time of ovulation your body begins to prepare for a baby. This all happens due to hormonal changes in your progesterone and estrogen. At the time of ovulation, your progesterone goes up and so does your body temperature. **Other Symptoms:** At the time of ovulation, you may not even know it's happening. There are a few clues including mild crampy pain on one side of your lower pelvic area, light spotting, nausea, and moodiness. **What You Can Do:** When you know you are about mid-cycle or around 14 days after your last period, make sure you dress in light cotton clothing. Keep a hand fan in your purse, and drink cold liquids. ### 6. Pregnancy Now that there are two of you living in there, your body has to make more blood volume to support you and your baby. You are walking around with 50 percent more blood than before you were pregnant. This will make you feel extra warm. **Other Symptoms:** When your blood volume increases from pregnancy, other symptoms include faster heart rate, nausea, shortness of breath, fatigue and dizziness. **What You Can Do:** The most important thing you need to do when this happens is drink lots of fluids! This will help keep you feeling cooler and assist your body with making that extra blood for you and baby. Dress cool and take rest breaks. ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmepBtT2Er8xc4rTXE6z26wheDtNeE1wEs5kmd99QScCwM/image.png) [Image Source](http://americanpregnancy.org/app/uploads/2012/05/20-weeks-pregnant.jpg) ### 7. Menopause Menopause can cause you to feel hot from "hot flashes." This is due to the changing hormone levels at the end of the reproductive years. The hormonal changes signal the temperature regulator in your brain, the hypothalamus. This organ turns up the heat temporarily and makes you feel hot but no fever occurs with it. **Other Symptoms:** If menopause is causing you to feel hot, you may have other symptoms like; feeling flushed, heart palpitations, night sweats, insomnia, weight gain, and irregular periods. **What You Can Do:** Menopause is highly treatable and gets better with time. Keep a hand fan with you in your purse. Sleep in cool cotton clothing and keep a fan next to your bed. If you have a hot flash in a public place, try to get to a bathroom and splash your face with cool water. Hot flashes are usually less than five minutes long. ### 8. Spicy Foods The chemical in chili peppers, capsaicin can trigger your nervous system when receptors in your tongue sense the spicy food. Your nervous system thinks it is being exposed to heat all over and not just your mouth. **Other Symptoms:** When you eat something hot, it can trigger reactions all over your body like heavy sweating, flushing and increased blood flow. **What You Can Do:** Eating or drinking something that balances the taste buds and cleanses your palate may help. Try chasing a spicy food with some salt on your tongue, drink a glass of milk, or eat some crackers. Once you stop the reaction at the source, the hot feeling may go away. ![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmbFXzn5GrU2gGTihnT7WJCR9tKJqsdvn94AwBVnTA6vf4/image.png) [Image Source](https://i.ndtvimg.com/i/2017-11/benefits-of-spicy-food_625x350_71510302296.jpg)

"title": "Feeling Hot Without a Fever? Here're 8 Reasons You SHOULD Know",
"body": "If you feel hot but have no fever, you may be suffering from a number of things. Your skin reacts to many different changes inside and outside your body. You may not even be hot, but feel \"flushing\" or \"hot flashes.\" It could be 50 degrees outside and you feel like it's 80. There usually isn't any cause for concern, and the sensation most often subsides on its own. This article will cover some of the different causes, when to call your doctor, and things you can do to feel cooler. \n## Reasons Why You Feel Hot But No Fever and What to Do\nIt isn't uncommon for our core body temperature to go up and down with normal daily activities. Your body temperature may also fluctuate due to hormonal imbalances, or even something you ate. Here are a few reasons why you may feel hot but experience no fever: \n\n### 1. Stressful Events \nIf you are experiencing stress, you can have hot flashes. Stress can cause you to release chemicals like epinephrine to help your body cope. Epinephrine opens up all your blood vessels and this can make you feel hot. \n**Other Symptoms:** Stress can cause other symptoms like racy heart, sweating, feeling winded, tense muscles, and make you feel anxious to get things done. \n**What You Can Do:** Try to practice stress relief techniques like rhythmic breathing, meditation, organize your tasks with a list, and get into a cool place when working on stressful projects. Relieving the stress can help reduce the sensation of being too hot. \n\n### 2. Anxiety \nWhen you are feeling anxious, your body releases all kinds of chemicals to activate your \"fight or flight\" response. \n**Other Symptoms:** You can feel hot with anxiety along with increased heart rate, feeling of fear or dread, shortness of breath, nausea, stomach cramps, chest pains, and other symptoms. \n**What You Can Do:** When you start feeling anxiety and your body begins to feel hot, stop what you are doing and take some deep breaths. Get yourself to a cool place and drink some fluids. Your body may feel like moving, but try to lie quietly and take deep breaths. Anxiety usually subsides within five minutes. \n![](https://steemitimages.com/DQmTaJPQt6vPFiBgEpqWxHstNUDDn111pQeW83qWFabFXmK/image.png)\n[Image Source](https://www.sbs.com.au/news/sites/sbs.com.au.news/files/insight_anxiety_web_1280x720.jpg)\n### 3. Hyperthyroidism \nYour thyroid is a gland located in your neck that helps control your body's temperature, metabolism, and other body processes. It produces hormones and when those hormone levels get too high you are considered to have hyperthyroidism. This can cause a faster metabolism and increase in body temperature.\n**Other Symptoms:** If you are suffering from hyperthyroidism you may also have diarrhea, hair falling out, increased blood pressure, fast heartbeat, insomnia, and weakness. \n**What You Can Do:** Call your doctor. This condition can have complications and needs to be treated. There are medications and other treatments available to calm down your thyroid. It is diagnosed with a simple blood test and you will have your results within a few days. \n\n### 4. High Metabolism \nWhen your metabolism is higher, you tend to run warmer. Metabolism is a natural body process that breaks down the foods you eat, sending energy out to your cells so you can function. When you are burning calories, your body may feel hot but no fever is present. Certain people are more sensitive to this process. \n**Other Symptoms:** If you feel hot and have a high metabolism, you may notice other things like thin body type, you get hungry often, and sleep very little. \n**What You Can Do:** People who have a high metabolism need to make sure they drink plenty of fluids.
