      "body": "![49395832_1009551395904581_1933421726348083200_o.jpg](https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmNoPJcZUT6mA321uvUcGBe4cJSqLgVwqSn7WmyEtceswZ/49395832_1009551395904581_1933421726348083200_o.jpg)\n\nSo dear Mother In Law\nI write to you directly because your daughter tells me my Father in law is late\nSee, my name is Stylle Mundalo\nA son of limitless hope, limitlessly living , hopefully driven\nLooking at life as if we are brothers\nBut being slapped by the same life as if there's nothing brotherly in our relationship \nIt's been hard mama, days have been hard\nAnd some days even voluntarily playing nights \nAt some point in time I have given up\nBut that's not something I can tell you\nNot even something I can talk about, not even write about \nSee, mama, sometimes I just get hold of life and decide to have a one on one\nBut times with no count, life has proved too busy for me\nSo dear Mother in Law\nWould you take a poem for Dowry?\n\nSee, it's not been easy\nYour daughter still loves me the way I am\nI have tried convincing her to let me be\nBut she insists I am the one to take onto her days of forever\nMen with Cars and cash are willing to pay me to get hold of your daughter\nBut your daughter just can't let me be\nIt's a struggle mama, the last time I checked my certificate still employment couldn't look at me in the eye\nEven my cat business doesn't work at all\nI put up a small kiosk that was later burned down because politics couldn't let us be\nPolitics couldn't just let my mother be\nAnd that day she had visited me in the city\nShe had to sleep in the kiosk, am afraid she went with the smoke\nThis days I look at her grave and wish we could remain united if not for anything, then for my mother\nSo dear mother in law, I have nothing to offer\nWould you take a poem for Dowry?\n\nSee, my father is struggling\nHis brick business is not even paying at all \nThe last time he burned bricks, he just didn't have enough firewood\nAnd nothing came out of it\nI had to keep sending him the little penny from the city\nSee, the old man cannot even raise money to feed himself\nHe pretends to be strong but he cries when alone\nMother died with her business, this days no one shows up at home to buy groundnuts\nIt's being a tough life, given an opportunity\nI would call myself, a son of forsaken days \nBut your daughter still insists I make her my wife\nSo dear mother in law\nWould you take a poem for Dowry?\n\nYour daughter knows my struggles, she knows my pains\nShe understands my cry and knows that daily I try\nAm sorry but she pays for the house we live in\nAm sorry if I am not hardworking enough but I try\nI sell water, but not good enough to manage paying Dowry\nThe little I get my uncles are on my neck\nI cannot ignore them, they are just them, my uncles! \nThey help my father in the brick business and when the old man falls ill they are always with him\nSo dear Mother in law\nWould you take a poem for Dowry?\n\nYour daughter has been with me in times life gave me no reason not to abandon it \nShe has held my hand, walked my path and cried my way\nShe has wiped my tears and gave me a reason to push\nMaybe, just maybe, my better days are right ahead\nPoetry Is all I have\nJust find a cow in each of my lines\nAnd milk my stanzas if at all you can \nDear Mama, \nWould you take a poem for Dowry?",
