I know you have heard of these five extraordinary countries but now let`s continue with Macedonia. Macedonia was once a part of former Yugoslavia and that is why Macedonia is also known as FYROM or Former Yugoslav Republic Of Macedonia. With the fall of Yugoslavia, Macedonia continued to exist as an independent country. Macedonia is a country full of various ethnicities including: Albanians, Turks, Serbs and many others. The capital city is Skopje which is also the largest. On one of the sides of Vardar you can see the Turkish Bazaar in which you can get familiar with the Turkish traditions and style of living. It is also one of the most popular touristic attractions here in Macedonia. In the past it was used in many battles and wars because of its strategic and positioning advantage. But today it is a touristic sensation, and everybody can visit. Macedonia was once a part of former **Yugoslavia** and that is why Macedonia is also known as **FYROM** or Former Yugoslav Republic Of Macedonia. With the fall of Yugoslavia, Macedonia continued to exist as an independent country. Macedonia is a country full of various ethnicities including: Albanians, Turks, Serbs and many others. In the past it was used in many battles and wars because of its strategic and positioning advantage.
