As the feature allows for the instant buying of ether through the wallet, many in the community view it as an upgrade that could appeal to newer ethereum users.\n\nBut because the Mist wallet is sponsored by the non-profit Ethereum Foundation, the update stirred up concerns that the project's senior members were giving Coinbase an unfair advantage.\n\nThe crux of the debate can be summed up by this tweet by Anthony Di Iorio, in which the project co-creator suggested the foundation was \"picking winners\".       "body": "https://media.coindesk.com/uploads/2016/08/Screen-Shot-2016-08-26-at-2.27.20-PM.png\n\nThe price of classic ether (ETC) has plunged over the past week, as the original excitement surrounding the newly created digital currency appears to have worn off with investors.\n\nThe adjustment would appear to have taken some of the momentum out of the nascent ethereum classic blockchain, which has enjoyed notable price gains and trading volume despite the fact many analysts expected it to die off shortly after its unlikely creation.\n\nBut those gains came to a halt this week, as ETC plunged 23.47% against ether (ETH) during the seven-day period, and it experienced a 23.16% loss against the US dollar in that time, Poloniex data reveal.\n\nAt press time, the price was up slightly at 1.5% over the last 24 hours.\n\nFor those who are less familiar, the digital currency came into existence in late July when idealists who opposed ethereum's (ETH) hard fork began supporting a market for its old blockchain, one that was free from a contentious technical change.\n\nDigital currency exchange Poloniex helped provide classic ether with some validation by listing the ETC/BTC and ETC/ETH currency pairs on 24th July. That ice, his lawsuit alleged, robbed thirsty customers of the precious ounces of fluid they paid for and are entitled to.\nBut on Friday, a California judge dismissed Forouzesh’s claims that he and others were defrauded and “suffered injury in fact and lost money” due to the over-iced drinks.\n“We are pleased with the court’s decision and the judge’s comments on the matter,” a Starbucks spokesperson said in an emailed statement.\nThe lawsuit alleged that “a Starbucks customer who orders a Venti Cold Drink receives only 14 fluid ounces of that drink — just over half the advertised amount, and just over half the amount for which they are paying.”\nThe injustice doesn’t end there. “A Starbucks customer who orders and pay\nfor a Venti iced coffee, expecting to receive 24 fluid ounces of iced coffee based on Starbucks’ advertisement and marketing, will instead receive only about 14 fluid ounces of iced coffee,” he claimed.\nBut isn’t the ice an integral part of the iced coffee? Not according to Forouzesh. Ice, his suit declared, is not a “fluid.”\nThere is, in fact, an official measurement system Starbucks uses for ice in its cold drinks. Just look at the lines on the cup: depending on the drink, the lines are used as a reference for how much liquid should be added. But it gets deeper:\n> “…as young children learn, they can increase the amount of beverage they\nreceive if they order “no ice.” If children have figured out that including ice in a cold beverage decreases the amount of liquid they will receive, the Court has no difficulty concluding that a reasonable consumer would not be deceived into thinking that when they order an iced tea, that the drink they receive will include both ice and tea and that for a given size cup, some portion of the drink will be ice rather than whatever liquid beverage the consumer ordered. This conclusion is supported by the fact that the cups Starbucks uses for its Cold Drinks, as shown in the Complaint, are clear, and therefore make it easy to see that the drink consists of a combination of liquid and ice.\n\nStarbucks isn’t in the clear just yet. The Japanese people’s love for figure skating is even reflected in the sheer number of Japanese advertisements that are conspicuously plastered around the rink in international competitions (that take place outside of Japan), which shows how the majority of the viewership is Japanese.
