The trend is struggling to reach a new high which means it could down again towards the support at ~$9,700. \n\n> If the candles beak below the current trendline we could see it enter the \"Danger zone\" which means the movement will continue sideways or head downwards.  \n\n---\n# Technical notes \nThe RSI has shown a bullish divergence (lower lows recorded while RSI records higher lows) starting on the 22nd which led to the increase in the Bitcoin price. This could mean a steady increase in the Bitcoin price in the short term. \n\nThe EMA (20) is hovering just below the current price, so we have momentum, but that could change if the price breaks into the \"Danger zone\" listed. \n\n---\n# What To Consider \nBe cautious of a drop into the danger zone and if it reaches above $10,200. At this price, it would indicate that we are recording higher highs and continuing with the upward trend. Take profit between the two resistants levels ($10,500-$10,700). The price was consolidating around the $10,600 range and today we saw the price break through the bottom of the established trendline. \n\nThis could mean that the upward trendline was simply a bear flag. A bear flag is usually an upward trend that follows a sharp decline in price. After this upward trend, another sharp downward trend will usually be mimicking the previous sharp drop. So if that is the case, we could see the price reaching the support at ~$9,400. \n\n---\n# Technical notes \nThe volume picked up and the bears took over. The RSI is now showing a heavy decline which is closing in on the oversold range. Trump said: ***“We thought we had a deal with China three months ago, but sadly, China decided to re-negotiate the deal prior to signing.”***\n\nState-run Chinese media called the Shanghai talks ***“pragmatic.”***\n\n---\n### How did the financial markets react? What does it mean for future prices?\n---\n* There is certainly a flight to safety at work now. \n* Trump’s escalation of a trade war wasn’t on anyone’s radar and hit the markets by surprise. \n* Now we see a complete re-pricing of expectations surrounding the trade war. \n* It’s outright negative for stocks. The prices for the end consumers in the US might not change, while the profit margins of Chinese business will decline, and the revenue from tariffs to the US government will rise.\n\n---\n### Is Bitcoin a true safe-haven asset?\n---\nLooking at this chart gives me an increased conviction that Bitcoin is perceived by traders as an increasingly safe-haven asset to hedge against macroeconomic and geopolitical risks.\n\nIt is different from other safe-haven assets like the US Dollar, Gold, and the U.S. Treasury notes.\n\nInvestors perceive Bitcoin as a true hedge of Black Swan events, particularly events which lead to the broad market declines. This becomes reasonable if we think about the design philosophy of Bitcoin created to function without any centralized institutions or trust.\n\n**When investors foresee a risk of a failure of major financial institutions or political institutions and policymakers, Bitcoin surges in price.**\n\n---\n### What’s the forecast for Bitcoin?\n---\nWe expect the equity markets to continue declining, which will be a strong catalyst for Bitcoin price appreciation over the near-term.
