      "body": "![image](https://img.esteem.ws/f09az2axt2.jpg)\n\nIn the eyes of the West, the figure of a leader like Saddam Hussein is not merely seen as a dictator, but a sordid enemy's enemy. but in our eyes let alone his supporters, the former Iraqi president is actually respected as a hero because of his loud attitude to fight the Zionist Israel.\n\nIn 1976, Saddam emerged as the most powerful military figure in the Iraqi armed forces. he quickly became an actor who played an important role in government at that time. In 1979, Saddam was officially in power in Iraq. Under his rule, Iraq soon became the strongest country in the Middle East for some time.\n\nsince being under Saddam's control, Iraq's relations with other Arab countries can be quite varied. Some are good, some are worse. Near the end of the 1970s, Saddam severed Iraq's ties with Egypt. the move he did because of his disagreement with the peace talks between Egypt and Israel on September 17, 1978.\n\nThe peace agreement known as the Camp David Agreement was initiated by Anwar Sadat, then Egyptian president. in Saddam's eyes, the treaty not only wounded the hearts of the Palestinian people, but also tarnished the face of the Arab world as a whole.\n\nduring the Gulf war of August 2, 1990-28 February 1991, when the process of negotiations between Iraq and the allies took place (consisting of the United States, Britain, Saudi Arabia, France, Italy, Morocco, Canada and the United Arab Emirates), Saddam tried to turn his attention to the problem Palestine.\n\nhe promised to withdraw Iraqi troops from Kuwait if Israel is also willing to release its occupation in the West Bank, Golan Heights, and Gaza Strip.
