      "body": "Recently, a photo showing a doctor in her thirties from Hangzhou Emergency Medical Center, Zhejiang Province, giving closed-chest cardiac massage to a 40-year-old man who had suffered a sudden cardiac death, went viral on Wechat.\n\nThe doctor Lu Shuwen, 150 centimeters tall (4'11\"), knelt down over the patient on a quick moving stretcher, as she said that it may take at least thirty seconds to reach the Emergency Room and every second counted, reported Qianjiang Evening News.\n\nIt was the evening of November 14th when Lu was assigned the task of saving the man who was already in a coma and whose condition had been ranked at D-level, the second-most serious level in terms of severity.\n\nThe patient had stopped breathing and had no heartbeat for a while. A monitor alarm kept sounding during the rescue attempt. Though great efforts were made to save the patient, the man died.\n\n\"Many would think that we paramedics do not care about patients' lives any more since we have seen so much death. But the truth is not like that.       "body": "A 33-year-old man, who was kidnapped and trafficked 27 years ago, has recently made contact with his birth parents, after recognising he had a different taste in foods from his adopted family.\nHu Kui, originally named Fu Gui before being abducted, was inspired to search for his original roots by noticing he liked his food spicier than what he was being served by his family at East China's Fujian province.       "body": "The World Bank on Tuesday halved its 2017 growth forecast for South Africa after the economy fell into recession earlier this year.\n\nIt said in a report that 2017 growth would probably be 0.6 per cent, down from an earlier estimate of 1.1 per cent.\n\nGrowth is seen ticking up to 1.1 per cent next year and reaching 1.7 per cent in 2019.\n\nBut the bank warned any prospect of recovery would “remain fragile” unless South Africa succeeds in becoming more productive.\n\n“South Africa is not benefiting from the global economic rebound.\n\n“South Africa is well placed in exports markets, but we don’t see the country’s exports breaking into new markets,” World Bank southern Africa specialist Sebastian Deussus said.\n\nPresident Jacob Zuma last month said South Africa’s 2017 growth would be below 0.5 per cent, down from a forecast of 1.3 per cent in February, after the economy fell into recession in the first quarter.\n\nSouth Africa emerged from the recession in the second quarter as a recovery in agriculture helped the economy expand.\n\nBut since South Africa emerged from its 2009 recession, growth has fallen short of the government’s target of five per cent, the level economists say is needed to curb unemployment\n\n![worldbank-300x221.jpg](https://steemitimages.com/DQmdr1vjxadJKWeUkw3LbJkmAfdFwtrR2wv4k6PTwMY3fnk/worldbank-300x221.jpg)",
